Quick answers — read this first
How do I plan two fragrances but buy the wax together? One wax line for the total, one oil line per scent. For 250 + 250 candles of 200 g at 8%, the bare order is 100 kg of mix: 92 kg of wax shared, and 4 kg of oil for each scent. With 6 extras per scent, 4% rejects (534 pours) and a 1% heel: 99.24 kg of wax (two 50 kg bags of Natural Soy Pearl Wax) and 4,344.72 g of each oil.

What does it cost, line by line? Pearl 2 × 50 kg ₹42,480.00; Japanese Cherry Blossom ₹21,138.00; Bergamot Amber ₹23,704.00; Eco C2 ₹5,192.00; care stickers ₹699.00: ₹93,213.00, ₹186.43 a candle before your jars, labels, labour, freight and GST. Scent A carries ₹181.29 a candle and scent B ₹191.56, because the oils differ in price.

Does buying the wax together save money? Not per kilo at CSI: Pearl is ₹424.80 from 5 kg to 50 kg. It saves rounding twice, keeps one wax lot across both scents if we can confirm it, and means a change of split moves only the oils.

How do I stop the two scents getting mixed up? Pour one scent completely before the other, mark every tray and every jar base at the moment of pouring, label each candle before it leaves the cooling rack, and reconcile counts per scent: 267 poured, 250 delivered, each.
The short answer
Your order as numbers: 250 + 250 candles (your figures) at 200 g and 8% = 16 g oil + 184 g wax each; 267 pours per scent, 534 in all.
Shared lines: wax 99.24 kg → 2 × 50 kg Pearl ₹42,480.00; C2 545 → ₹5,192.00; care stickers → ₹699.00.
Per-scent lines: 4,344.72 g each → Japanese Cherry Blossom ₹21,138.00, Bergamot Amber ₹23,704.00; bought last, after the split is in writing.
The settling numbers: ₹93,213.00 in all; ₹48,371.00 shared, ₹44,842.00 in oils; a 300 / 200 split changes the oils to ₹44,516.00 and leaves the wax at ₹42,480.00.

Oils bought per scent, last. If the client moves the split, only the oils move 0 25 50 75 100 kg 250 / 250 wax · oil A · oil B 4.34 4.34 300 / 200 wax · oil A · oil B 5.19 3.50 200 / 300 wax · oil A · oil B 3.50 5.19 Oil bars are drawn at ten times scale against the wax so the change is visible: 1 grid step = 2.5 kg of oil. Wax 99.24 kg in every case (534 pours). Extras, rejects and heel are labelled worked examples.
Top: two 50 kg bags form one shared wax line, divided equally between the scents; each scent gets its own oil, bought in different pack sizes because the two oils price their bottles differently. Bottom: the same 534 pours with the split at 250 / 250, 300 / 200 and 200 / 300. The wax bar never moves; only the oil bars do, which is why the oils are bought last.
Straight answer
A wedding client wants 250 candles in one fragrance and 250 in another — how do I plan separate fragrance quantities while purchasing wax together?
Split the bill of materials into shared lines and per-scent lines. Wax, wicks and safety stickers are the same in every candle, so they are calculated once for the total pours: 250 + 250 candles at 200 g and 8%, with 6 planned extras per scent and a 4% reject rate, is 267 pours per scent, 534 in all, which with a 1% heel needs 99.24 kg of wax: two 50 kg bags of Natural Soy Pearl Wax (₹42,480.00). Oil is calculated per scent from that scent’s own pours: 4,344.72 g each, including a 30 g sealed reference. Round each oil to its own cheapest in-stock packs, because the two oils price their bottles differently: Japanese Cherry Blossom as 4 × 1 kg + 3 × 100 g + 50 g (₹21,138.00), Bergamot Amber as 8 × 500 g + 3 × 100 g + 50 g (₹23,704.00). Add Eco C2 (₹5,192.00) and one care-sticker roll (₹699.00) and the order is ₹93,213.00. Buy the wax when the order is confirmed; buy the oils last, after the client has signed the split, because the split moves only the oils. In production, pour one scent completely before the other and label at the moment of pouring.
One line: wax, wicks and stickers once for 534 pours; oil per scent for 267 pours each; oils bought after the split is signed.
The two-scent order, by line: Pearl 2 × 50 kg ₹42,480.00, Japanese Cherry Blossom ₹21,138.00, Bergamot Amber ₹23,704.00, Eco C2 ₹5,192.00, care stickers ₹699.00: ₹93,213.00. All in stock on 7 October 2026; quantities, lots and dispatch confirmed on WhatsApp.

Your order as numbers

Two scents of 250 is not one order of 500 cut in half. Each half carries its own spares.

The title gives 250 candles in one fragrance and 250 in another; those are your figures. Size, load and oils are labelled worked examples: a 200 g candle at 8% (the series default when a title gives none), Japanese Cherry Blossom as scent A and Bergamot Amber as scent B, poured in Natural Soy Pearl Wax in your own 200 g jar. A CSI 200 ml jar does not hold 200 g of wax (why a 200 ml jar is not a 200 g jar); if you are choosing a jar, weigh a test pour first.

The order, restated
Your figures from the title are marked · load = % of total candle weight · rates are labelled worked examples
Input Scent A Scent B Total

Wax 49.62 kg 49.62 kg 99.24 kg, one purchase
Oil page’s stated candle load "6-13% for candles" "6-10% for soy wax candles" 8% is inside both

The extras and reject buffer sit inside each scent because a reject in scent A can only be replaced by a scent A pour. That is why the order needs 17 pours per scent beyond the 250 delivered. If you have not yet proven both scents in your jar with your wick, the test stage comes first: the hub’s wedding test sequence.

The purchase sheet: shared lines and per-scent lines

Shared lines are calculated on total pours. Oil lines are calculated on each scent’s pours. Nothing is calculated on "500".

Final CSI order (excludes your jars, scent labels, boxes, labour, freight and GST) ₹93,213.00 ₹186.43 a candle

₹186.43 a candle is CSI materials with every buffer included; it excludes your jars, scent labels, boxes, labour, freight and GST. Allocated by scent (half of each shared line to each), scent A costs ₹45,323.50 (₹181.29 a candle) and scent B ₹47,889.50 (₹191.56 a candle). The whole difference is the oil: Bergamot Amber’s line is ₹2,566.00 dearer, which matters if you are quoting the two scents at one price.

Why the two oil lines use different bottles

Both oils need 4,344.72 g, but they are rounded separately. Japanese Cherry Blossom is cheapest per gram at 1 kg (₹4.84 against ₹5.00 at 500 g), so four 1 kg bottles carry it. Bergamot Amber’s 1 kg is ₹5,437.00, which is ₹1.00 more than two 500 g bottles, so eight 500 g bottles carry it (₹23,704.00, against ₹23,708.00 with 1 kg bottles). Same grams, different packs: that is why the oils are never rounded as one "8 kg of oil" line. Four oils side by side with four different answers are in the equal-split four-oil post.

Argued against our own interest: buying 100 kg of Pearl in one order does not earn a lower price per kilo from us; it is ₹424.80 from the 5 kg bag up. If storage is tight, take the first 50 kg now and the second when you start scent B. You lose nothing on price; ask whether both bags can be the same lot, and if they cannot, run a short lot check on the second bag before it meets the order (ask about one lot).

When the client moves the split

Weddings change their minds. Buy in the order that lets them.

A common change after the samples: "make it 300 of the cherry blossom and 200 of the amber". Run it through the sheet and the total pours stay at 534 (319 + 215), so the wax, wicks and stickers do not move at all. Only the two oil lines change.

The same order at three splits

So the purchasing order writes itself. The shared lines can be bought as soon as the order and its advance are confirmed: wax, wicks and stickers are standard, reusable CSI stock that you would use anyway if the wedding shrank. The oils are bought when the split is signed. If you have already bought the oils and the client changes the split or a scent, that is a commercial question about who carries the cost, handled in the lavender-to-oud change post.

Ask for the split in numbers, not percentages
"60 / 40" on 500 is 300 and 200, but on 520 it is 312 and 208. Ask the client to sign the candle counts per scent, and calculate pours from those.

Batch logistics for two scents from one wax

The wax is shared on the invoice. In the melter, each scent gets its own batch.

Shared wax does not mean a shared batch. Each melt is one scent, weighed wax in and weighed oil against it; the technique, and why scented wax is never divided between scents, is in the three-scent batch post. For this order on a 10 kg melter the numbers are short:

Batch plan · worked example
10 kg melter · full melt = 49 pours (9.898 kg incl. 1% heel) · cure and QC are calendar time
Step Scent A (Cherry Blossom) Scent B (Bergamot Amber) Notes
Full melts 5 × 49 = 245 5 × 49 = 245 791.84 g of oil weighed into each
Remainder 22 pours 22 pours one unscented melt divided by weight, poured first while the melter is clean
Order of pouring first (lighter floral) second (amber, vanilla base) one clean-down between
Melts in all 11, about 4 pouring days at three a day
Cure before QC burns 3 days 3 days (page: 48–72 hours for soy) calendar time
Draw from the shared wax 49.62 kg 49.62 kg 0.76 kg left in the second bag

Open the second Pearl bag only when the first is used, and write the bag number on the melt card. If the two bags turn out to be different lots, you will know exactly which melts came from which, and that is the difference between a calm lot check and guessing.

Labelling so the two scents never swap

Same jar, same wax, same wick: once set, the two scents look identical.

This is the real risk of a two-scent order. Nothing on the outside of an uncoloured 200 g candle says which oil is inside, and a swapped tray is only found when a guest lights a candle. The controls are cheap, and they all happen at the moment of pouring, not at packing.

1
Pour one scent completely, then the otherAll scent A melts, clean-down, then all scent B. Never interleave A and B melts on the same day’s bench.
2
Mark the jar base as you pourA marker dot code under each jar (one dot for A, two for B) or a base sticker applied before the jar is filled. It survives a dropped tray card.
3
Card every trayScent, melt number, oil lot, wax bag number and pour time on a card that travels with the tray.
4
Separate racks for curingScent A on one rack, scent B on another, with the rack labelled. Retains and QC candles go on a third shelf, also labelled.
5
Apply the scent label before the candle leaves the rackYour printed scent label goes on as the candles come off the cooling rack, checked against the base mark; a cold sniff of one candle per tray against the approved sample is a quick second check.
6
Reconcile per scent before packingFor each scent: poured 267, rejects, retains and QC burns removed, delivered 250. If a count does not close, find the difference before the boxes are sealed.
Mistake: labelling at packing time "because the trays are obviously separate". Why it fails: trays get moved to make room, cards fall off, and two days later a tray of identical candles is either scent. Fix: mark at pour, label at de-racking, reconcile per scent. If a client wants the scents visibly different, a tint in one scent is a design change that needs its own approval and colour test, not a production shortcut.

The decision rule, what you never skip, and protecting the order

Buy what is shared early, buy what is specific late.

The decision rule. Calculate shared lines (wax, wicks, care stickers) on total pours and buy them once the order and advance are confirmed; calculate each oil on its own scent’s pours and buy it once the split is signed; round each oil separately to its own cheapest packs. Accept the plan as it stands if both scents are proven in your jar and wick; accept with conditions (a burn test per scent first, about a week of calendar time with cure) if either is new; renegotiate the date if the test, the 4 pouring days, the cure and the QC do not fit. The settling numbers: 534 pours, 99.24 kg of wax, 4,344.72 g of each oil, ₹93,213.00.

What you never skip, and the calendar time it takes
Durations are planning judgements · cure is time since pour
Step Why Calendar time
A burn-tested, client-approved sample of each scent in your jar and wick A wick that suits a floral may not suit an amber with a vanilla base Before buying the oils
Written split in candle counts The split decides two oil purchases Before buying the oils
Lot check on each oil and on each wax bag Lots can differ in colour and burn About 3 days, together
Cure before QC burns Bergamot Amber page: 48–72 hours for soy 3 days
Per-scent count reconciliation Catches a swapped or missing tray Before packing
Commercial protection (practical judgement, not legal advice): the shared lines here are reusable stock, so your exposure if the wedding shrinks is small on ₹48,371.00. The oils (₹44,842.00) are where a late change costs money, and scent labels printed with names or dates are entirely client-specific. Put the split in candle counts, the approval date for each scent and the advance in a written order, and say that a change of split after the oils are bought may carry a charge.
This page is for you if both scents are approved and you need quantities and a purchase. Read elsewhere if you want the batch technique in detail (6348), the client changes a scent after you have bought it (6351), or you are planning the end-to-end flow (6360).

Natural Soy Pearl Wax
The one line both scents draw from, bought once for the total: 99.24 kg against two 50 kg bags, 0.76 kg spare. In the text we captured the page states no load ceiling and no temperatures, so each oil page’s stated range governs and your melt temperature comes from the wax maker’s figure (ask us on WhatsApp). Argued against our own interest: buying the wax together saves nothing per kilo: ₹424.80 from 5 kg to 50 kg, and two 50 kg bags cost exactly what one per scent would. What it buys you is one order, one lot if we can confirm it, and wax that does not care which scent it becomes.

Japanese Cherry Blossom Fragrance Oil
The page describes "sweet cherry and soft pink petals opening into a rose and jasmine heart, grounded by warm sandalwood and musk" and states "6-13% for candles", the widest stated range of the two. The 8% plan is inside it, and Pearl’s page states no ceiling of its own; max load is not best load, so the approved sample’s load is the one you scale. Bergamot Amber Fragrance Oil
The page describes "sparkling bergamot and citrus top notes, warm amber and soft floral heart, woody musk and smooth vanilla base" and states "6-10% for soy wax candles, cure 48-72 hours". A vanilla base is worth a colour check in pale wax: vanilla-type notes commonly yellow light candles over time, so compare against the approved sample. The 1 kg costs ₹1.00 more than two 500 g, so this line is bought in 500 g bottles (₹23,704.00 instead of ₹23,708.00).

Eco Candle Wicks — Thick (C2)
Assumed to be the wick on both approved samples, which is itself something to test: one wick across a floral and an amber-vanilla oil is common but not certain, so each scent gets its own burn test in your jar. ₹9.44 a wick in every pack, so 545 rounds to 500 + 50. Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the wax, oils, wicks and stickers on this order and does not sell finished candles or printed labels. This page still tells you that buying 100 kg of Pearl together earns no lower price per kilo, that you can split the wax into two deliveries at no cost, and that Bergamot Amber is cheaper in 500 g bottles than in our 1 kg.

Every CSI price was checked on the live store on 7 October 2026, pack by pack, and every pack on the order is in stock on that date; the Eco C1 10-pack, which is out, is not used. Stock depth, dispatch dates and lot continuity are not shown on product pages and are confirmed on WhatsApp.

The 250 + 250 candles are your figures; 200 g at 8%, the two oils, 6 extras per scent, 4% rejects, 1% heel, 2% wick placement, 1% sticker spare, 49 pours per melt, day counts, cure and lot-check days are labelled worked examples. This is practical judgement, not legal or financial advice. At 8%, 4 kg for the bare order. With 6 extras, a 4% reject buffer and a 1% heel it is 4,314.72 g, plus a 30 g sealed reference: 4,344.72 g, rounded up to that oil’s cheapest in-stock packs.
How much wax for 500 candles in two scents?
At 200 g and 8%, 92 kg for the bare order and 99.24 kg with extras, rejects and heel. Buy it once for both scents: two 50 kg bags of Natural Soy Pearl Wax, ₹42,480.00.
Is it cheaper to buy candle wax in bulk for two fragrances together?
Not per kilo at CSI: Natural Soy Pearl Wax is ₹424.80 from 5 kg to 50 kg. Buying together saves rounding twice and helps keep one lot; you can still take delivery in two parts.
Should I buy both fragrance oils at the same time as the wax?
Buy wax, wicks and stickers when the order and advance are confirmed, and the oils when the client has signed the split in candle counts. A change of split moves only the oils.
How do I avoid mixing up two candle scents in the same jar?
Pour one scent completely before the other, mark each jar base and tray at the moment of pouring, keep separate curing racks, label before the candles leave the rack, and reconcile counts per scent before packing.
What if the client changes from 250/250 to 300/200?
Total pours stay at 534, so wax, wicks and stickers do not change. The oils do: in the worked example both oils go from ₹44,842.00 to ₹44,516.00.
250 + 250, two fragrances
One wax purchase, two oil purchases, every candle marked as it is poured.
For the worked order: 534 pours, 99.24 kg of Pearl, 4,344.72 g of each oil, ₹93,213.00 in all. Send us the list and we will confirm stock, lots and dispatch for the shared lines first and the oils when your split is signed.

About this guide: part of CSI's cluster "Wedding orders and customisation" (6341–6360) in the series on bulk corporate and wedding candle orders × raw materials. It covers a two-scent order with shared wax: shared and per-scent lines, a purchase sheet with ₹ by line, what a change of split does, batch logistics, labelling against mix-ups, and the decision rule.

Non-price figures: 250 + 250 candles are the reader’s figures; 200 g at 8% (16 g oil + 184 g wax, total-weight basis), the two oils, 6 extras per scent, a 30 g oil reference, 4% rejects as a divisor, 1% heel, 2% wick placement, 1% sticker spare, 49 pours per full 10 kg melt, about three melts a day, 3-day cure and 3-day lot check are labelled worked examples. Natural Soy Pearl Wax states no load ceiling in the text we captured; Japanese Cherry Blossom’s page states 6–13% for candles and Bergamot Amber’s 6–10% for soy with 48–72 hours’ cure; ceilings are formulation limits, not regulatory ones. The wedding season is a common pattern, not data.
