cash committed before the first of the 5,000 is paid for · ₹12,83,840.00 of landed materials a month · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What does 5,000 candles a month actually consume? On a 200 g wax pour at 8%: 1,000 kg of wax, 80 kg of fragrance oil, 5,000 vessels and 5,000 wicks every month. In CSI pack counts that is 100 × 10 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, 80 × 1 kg of Spicy Raspberry, 50 hundred-jar packs of Mini Glass Jars and 5 thousand-wick packs of Thick (C2). The consignment weighs 1,789.0 kg packed.

What is the landed materials cost per candle? ₹256.77 — ₹228.14 of materials plus about ₹28.62 of inbound delivery at the cheapest rate the published card offers. It is the same figure at 500 candles a month and at 5,000, because the rates on this shopping list do not fall with quantity.

How much cash goes out before the first new candle is sold? One landed month at 5,000 is ₹12,83,840.00. If you buy a month ahead and carry a month of finished stock, the pre-revenue figure is ₹25,67,680.00, of which ₹23,10,912.00 is new money above what 500 a month already ties up. Those are the two figures to take to whoever is funding this.

What revenue and gross profit does the forecast show? At an illustrative ₹599.00 retail price, 5,000 candles is ₹29,95,000.00 of revenue and ₹17,11,160.00 of gross profit on landed materials, a margin of 57.13% before labels, boxes, courier, fees, labour and rent — none of which is a CSI cost and none of which is in that figure.
The short answer
Resources first, money second: 5,000 candles a month at 200 g of wax and 8% is 1,000 kg of wax, 80 kg of oil, 5,000 vessels and 5,000 wicks — 1,789.0 kg of packed weight arriving every month.
₹12,83,840.00 a month, landed: ₹11,40,720.00 of materials on live CSI pricing plus ₹1,43,120.00 of inbound delivery at the cheapest published rate per kilogram. At 500 candles the same list is ₹1,28,384.00.
₹25,67,680.00 before the first sale: Buying a month ahead and carrying a month of finished stock ties up two landed months. The per-candle cost does not fall — ₹256.77 at both volumes — so this is a cash decision, not a cost decision.

What it shows: one month of inbound at 5,000 candles a month, drawn to a single rupee scale — wax, fragrance, vessels, wicks and inbound delivery at the cheapest published rate per kilogram — and below it the landed materials cost inside one candle at 500 a month and at 5,000 a month, which is deliberately the same bar twice. Every figure is live CSI pricing in September 2026 on a 200 g wax pour at 8%. Deliberately left out: labels, outer boxes, courier to your own customer, payment fees, advertising, labour, electricity and rent, none of which CSI sells and none of which this page will guess at. The freight bar is a floor computed from stored packed weights at ₹80.00 a kilogram, not a quotation.
Straight answer
How do I forecast a ten-times expansion before I commit money to it?
Forecast it in resources first and rupees second, because the resources are what fail and the rupees are only what they cost. At 200 g of wax and a fragrance load of 8% of wax weight — the convention this page carries throughout, so each candle holds 200 g of wax and 16 g of oil and 216 g goes into the vessel — 5,000 candles a month consumes 1,000 kg of wax, 80 kg of fragrance oil, 5,000 vessels and 5,000 wicks. In CSI pack counts that is 100 ten-kilogram packs of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, 80 one-kilogram packs of Spicy Raspberry, 50 hundred-jar packs of Mini Glass Jars and five thousand-wick packs of Eco Candle Wicks Thick (C2). Priced on live September 2026 rates that is ₹11,40,720.00 of materials a month, and the packed weight of it is 1,789.0 kg — enough that the store's published rate card, which stops at 50 kg in one consignment, no longer covers your month in a single parcel. Carried at the cheapest rate per kilogram the card publishes, inbound delivery adds about ₹1,43,120.00, so the landed month is ₹12,83,840.00 and the landed materials cost of one candle is ₹256.77. Now the part the forecast exists to tell you: that per-candle figure is identical at 500 candles a month. Ten times the volume buys you no rate improvement on this shopping list, so the expansion is not a cost decision — it is a cash decision. The cash is ₹25,67,680.00 if you buy a month ahead and carry a month of finished stock, ₹23,10,912.00 of it new money. Against that, at an illustrative retail price of ₹599.00, revenue goes from ₹2,99,500.00 to ₹29,95,000.00 and gross profit on landed materials from ₹1,71,116.00 to ₹17,11,160.00. Both multiply by exactly ten, and so does everything that can go wrong.
One line: 1,000 kg of wax, 80 kg of oil, ₹12,83,840.00 landed a month — and ₹256.77 a candle at either volume.
₹12,83,840.00 of landed materials a month at 5,000 candles. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40/kg in the 10 kg pack, Spicy Raspberry at ₹6.00/g in the 1kg pack, Mini Glass Jars at ₹21.24 a piece in the 100 pack and Eco Candle Wicks Thick (C2) at ₹9.44 each — ₹228.14 of materials in one candle, plus about ₹28.62 of inbound delivery. What 5,000 candles a month actually weighs

Before the money, the matter. Ten times the candles is ten times the kilograms, and kilograms are what run out.

Your question gives two numbers and they are both yours: 500 candles a month now, 5,000 candles a month after the expansion. This page keeps them exactly as you wrote them and never treats them as anything but your production plan. Everything else on the page — every rate, every pack size, every rupee — is CSI's live pricing in September 2026, because a forecast built on invented rates forecasts nothing.

The specification the page carries, stated once and used throughout: 200 g of wax per candle at a fragrance load of 8% of wax weight. That is the series convention and it is how CSI product pages state loads. So each candle takes 200 g of wax and 16 g of fragrance oil, and 216 g of scented wax goes into the vessel. If your own pour is 150 g or 250 g, the rescaling table further down does the whole forecast again at your weight — but fix the number before you start, because every other figure in a scaling forecast hangs off it.

Now multiply. At 5,000 candles a month you consume 1,000 kg of wax and 80 kg of fragrance oil every month, plus 5,000 vessels and 5,000 wicks. Write those four figures down before you write a single rupee, because they are the ones that decide whether the expansion is physically possible. One thousand kilograms of wax is a tonne of flakes arriving in your workspace every month, and it has to be stored somewhere dry, somewhere out of the sun, and somewhere you can actually reach it.

Live CSI pricing, September 2026, taxes included. The 500 and 5,000 are your own production figures. Packed weight uses each variant's stored shipping weight, not the weight of the product inside it.

The packed-weight row is the one most expansion plans skip and then discover at checkout. Materials weigh more than their contents: the 10 kg wax pack is stored at 11.0 kg, the 1kg oil pack at 1.1 kg, and the hundred-jar pack at 12.0 kg. Add them up per candle and one finished candle carries 0.3578 kg of inbound packed weight before it ever leaves your table — 33.5% of it the vessel and 61.5% the wax. At 5,000 a month that is 1,789.0 kg of goods arriving, and it does not arrive in one parcel: the published rate card stops at 50 kg in a single consignment, so your month is at least 36 consignments however you arrange it. That is a planning fact, not a price.

The CSI principle
Forecast the kilograms before the rupees.
A tonne of wax a month is a storage problem, a delivery problem and a cash problem in that order. ₹11,40,720.00 is only the last of the three.

The first honest finding: nothing gets cheaper per candle

The forecast most people want is the one where the unit cost falls. This is not that forecast.

Here is what a ten-times expansion does to the cost of one candle on this shopping list: nothing. ₹228.14 of materials at 500 candles a month, ₹228.14 of materials at 5,000. That is not an assumption and it is not pessimism — it is what the ladders on these four products return when you run them.

Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is ₹520.00 a kilogram in the 500 g pack and ₹507.40 a kilogram in the 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg packs, so once you are past the smallest pack the rate stops moving. Spicy Raspberry runs ₹6.60 a gram at 15g, then ₹5.98, ₹5.99, ₹6.00 and ₹6.00 a gram at 50g, 100g, 500g and 1kg — the rate at the top of that ladder is fractionally above the 50g rate, not below it. Eco Candle Wicks Thick (C2) is ₹9.44 each at every pack from 10 wicks to 1,000. The one line with a real step is the vessel: Mini Glass Jars is ₹25.96 a piece in the Black / 5 pack and ₹21.24 in the Black / 100, a difference of ₹4.72 a candle — and you reach the bottom of that ladder at 100 jars, which is a fifth of your current month, not something the expansion unlocks.

Live CSI pricing, September 2026, taxes included. CSI publishes no quantity-discount ladder as a policy — these are simply the rates each pack size carries.
WHERE THE REAL SAVING IS, AND WHAT IT IS WORTH
Two things genuinely improve as the order grows, and neither is a rate per kilogram. The first is order-value discounts: CSI publishes HAPPY5 at 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 at 8% over ₹12,000 and YAY10 at 10% over ₹20,000. These depend on the basket total, not on pack size, and a month of materials at either volume clears the top one — 10% of ₹11,40,720.00 is ₹1,14,072.00 a month at 5,000 candles, and ₹11,407.20 at 500. The second is consolidation: fewer, fuller consignments cost less per kilogram than many small ones. Confirm both on WhatsApp before you build them into a forecast, because a discount code is a published offer and not a contract.
Budgeting a volume discount that has not been quoted to you. The commonest way an expansion forecast goes wrong is a line that reads "10% better raw-material pricing at scale" with nothing behind it. On this specification the wax ladder is flat above the 500 g pack, the oil ladder is flat above 15g and the wick ladder is flat everywhere, so that line would be worth ₹1,14,072.00 a month of pure fiction. If a supplier has quoted you a rate for a scheduled annual volume, put the quoted rate in the forecast and name the supplier and the date beside it. If nobody has quoted you anything, put the published rate in and leave the optimism out.
Forecasting the fragrance line at the wax rate. At ₹95.98 a candle the oil is 42.1% of your materials cost on this specification — more than the wax at ₹101.48, and far more than most makers expect. Eighty kilograms of Spicy Raspberry a month is ₹4,79,920.00, which is a larger cheque than the wax. Test the fragrance line first when you stress the forecast, because on this specification it is the largest single materials commitment you are making and the one tied to a single scent decision.

Inventory investment and the cash that leaves first

Every rupee of this expansion goes out before any of it comes back. That gap is the whole risk.

A forecast that stops at cost per candle has not forecast the thing that kills expansions. Materials are bought before candles are made, candles are made before they are sold, and on most terms they are paid for after that. So the question is not what 5,000 candles cost — it is how much money has to be standing in front of you before the first of them earns anything.

Take it in two steps. One landed month at 5,000 candles is ₹11,40,720.00 of materials plus about ₹1,43,120.00 of inbound delivery, or ₹12,83,840.00. That is the minimum: the materials for the month you are about to produce. Two landed months is ₹25,67,680.00, and that is the realistic figure if you are also carrying a month of finished candles while they sell — which almost every maker is, because you cannot pour 5,000 candles on the day the orders arrive. This page assumes you buy a month ahead and carry a month of stock. That is an assumption about your own operation, not a measurement, and if your rhythm is different the multiplier changes.

Priced above: one month of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, Spicy Raspberry, Mini Glass Jars and Eco Candle Wicks Thick (C2) at the pack sizes in the resource table, on live CSI pricing in September 2026. Inbound delivery is computed from the stored packed weights at ₹80.00 a kilogram, which is the cheapest rate per kilogram the published card offers at any weight — it is a floor for planning, not a quotation, and real parcels rarely land exactly on a band edge. Carrying a month of finished stock is an assumption about your operation, stated so you can change it. Every non-CSI line is left blank.

Read the last two rows together, because they are the decision. The expansion asks for ₹23,10,912.00 of new working capital, permanently — not once, but standing in the business for as long as you run at 5,000 a month. And the blank row underneath it is not a formality. Labels and outer boxes scale one-for-one with candles, and at 5,000 a month even a modest packaging cost is a five-figure monthly line that this page cannot price for you because CSI does not sell it. Put your own quoted figures in that row before you sign anything.

An expansion is funded in advance and repaid in arrears. Forecast it in that order.

Revenue and gross profit at ten times the volume

The pleasant half of the forecast. It multiplies by exactly ten, which is both the good news and the warning.

This page will not tell you what to charge — that is your decision and your market's. To complete the forecast it uses an illustrative retail price of ₹599.00, clearly labelled as illustrative wherever it appears, and you should substitute your own price before you rely on any figure in this section. What matters is the shape, not the number.

Priced above: the ₹599.00 retail price is illustrative and is not a CSI figure, a recommendation or a market rate — substitute your own. Materials are live CSI prices in September 2026 on the pack sizes named in the resource table. Inbound delivery is the published-band floor of ₹80.00 a kilogram applied to the stored packed weights. The gross margin of 57.13% is materials and inbound delivery only; every selling and operating cost below it is yours and is left blank.

Three things are worth saying plainly about that table. First, gross profit multiplies by exactly ten, from ₹1,71,116.00 to ₹17,11,160.00, because nothing in the unit economics changed — which is the honest answer to "do I get better margins at scale" on this shopping list. Second, the margin line reads 57.13% at both volumes, and that figure is gross margin on landed materials: it is the room you have, not the profit you keep. Third, and most importantly, the blank rows are where an expansion is actually won or lost. At 500 candles a month you may be packing them yourself in the evening. At 5,000 you are not, and the row you leave blank becomes the largest number on the page.

Multiplying revenue by ten and the problems by one. The arithmetic that takes ₹2,99,500.00 to ₹29,95,000.00 also takes a 2% reject rate from 10 candles a month to 100, and a two-day delay on one wax consignment from an inconvenience to a week of idle production. Every operational weakness you currently absorb by working late is multiplied by the same ten. Before committing, run the forecast once more with a reject allowance you have actually measured over a full batch — stating the percentage you used and that it is an assumption — and see whether the gross profit still funds the expansion.

Running the forecast on your own pour weight

Change one number at the top and the whole forecast moves. Here it is moved for you.

The 200 g pour is this page's specification, not a measurement of your candle. CSI publishes no fill weight for Mini Glass Jars or for most vessels on the store, so the only honest way to fix the number is to measure your own: fill the vessel with water to your intended wax line, weigh it, and multiply by about 0.9 to get the wax weight that vessel takes. Then read your row off the table below — the vessel and the wick lines do not change, only the wax and the oil.

The four pour weights are illustrative production specifications for reading your own measurement against — they are not published fill capacities for any CSI vessel, and this page does not claim that any of these pours fits any particular jar. Inbound delivery inside the landed figure is the ₹80.00 a kilogram published floor applied to stored packed weights.

1. Fix the pour weight by measurement, not by the listingWeigh what your vessel actually takes to your wax line and write the wax weight at the top of the forecast. Every figure on this page hangs off it: moving from 200 g to 250 g adds ₹49.37 to the materials in one candle and ₹2,70,590.00 to the landed month at 5,000. Fix it once and do not change it mid-forecast.

2. Turn candles into kilograms, then kilograms into pack countsCandles × wax grams ÷ 1,000 is your monthly wax in kilograms; the same figure × your load is the oil. Then divide each by the pack size you will actually buy. At 200 g and 8%, 5,000 candles is 1,000 kg of wax — 100 ten-kilogram packs of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 — and 80 kg of oil, which is 80 one-kilogram packs of Spicy Raspberry. Pack counts, not kilograms, are what you order and what can be short.

3. Add the packed weight and find out how many consignments it isLook up each variant's stored shipping weight rather than the product weight inside it — the 10 kg wax pack ships at 11.0 kg and the hundred-jar pack at 12.0 kg. Your month at 5,000 is 1,789.0 kg packed, and no published band covers more than 50 kg in one consignment, so plan at least 36 deliveries and put the inbound cost inside the candle rather than beside it.
4
4. Multiply twice, then subtract the blanksMaterials × candles is the monthly materials cheque. Landed cost × candles against your own selling price × candles is gross profit. Then list every cost CSI does not sell — labels, boxes, courier to your customer, gateway and marketplace fees, advertising, labour, electricity, rent — and fill them in from your own quotes. The forecast is only finished when those rows have numbers in them, and they must be yours.

Where the published rate card stops covering you

At this volume you leave the part of the store that is self-service. Better to know that in the forecast than at checkout.

Three published limits bite at 5,000 candles a month, and all three are planning facts rather than problems. The largest wax pack CSI publishes is 10 kg, so a thousand-kilogram month is a hundred packs; for more than 10 kg in a single consignment the store points you to WhatsApp, and a scheduled monthly volume is exactly the conversation to have there. The published delivery bands stop at 50 kg in one consignment, so a 1,789.0 kg month cannot be a single parcel at published rates. And the published discount codes are order-value codes — HAPPY5, BIZWIZ8 and YAY10 — which means they reward what the basket comes to, not how big a pack you pick.

The freight number in this forecast is deliberately conservative and deliberately labelled. Across the whole published card the cheapest rate per kilogram available at any weight is ₹80.00 a kilogram, and it appears at the top of four different bands, including the Under 15kg Standard Shipping band and the Under 50 kg Expedited Shipping band. Applying that floor to the stored packed weights gives about ₹28.62 inside one candle and ₹1,43,120.00 across the month at 5,000. Treat it as the best case. Real consignments land inside bands rather than on their edges, and a parcel that finishes a kilogram over a band top costs the whole next band — so the way you split a month's inbound is worth real money, and it is worth checking the exact weights before you commit to a pattern. Rates are the published flat bands as at September 2026 and can change.

Three published limits · September 2026
What the store publishes, and what it means for a 5,000-candle month
Published limit What it is What it means at 5,000 a month
Largest wax pack 10 kg 100 packs a month of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464; for a single larger consignment, ask on WhatsApp
Largest delivery band 50 kg in one consignment A 1,789.0 kg month is at least 36 consignments at published rates
Cheapest published rate per kilogram ₹80.00 a kilogram About ₹28.62 inside one candle — a floor for planning, not a quotation
Discount codes Order-value, not quantity HAPPY5 over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 over ₹12,000, YAY10 over ₹20,000 — the basket total decides, not the pack size
Priced above: pack sizes are the live store variants for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 in September 2026. Delivery bands are the published flat weight bands as at September 2026; ₹80.00 a kilogram is the lowest rate per kilogram any published band works out at, and it is used here as a planning floor rather than a quoted price. The discount codes are the store's published order-value codes. No delivery time, courier or per-city estimate is stated anywhere on this page, because none is published.

One more honest note about the fragrance line, because it is the one that will surprise you at this volume. Eighty kilograms a month of a single scent is a large commitment to one decision. Two real reviews on the store say plainly that delivery charges are high, and the answer to that at scale is to consolidate and to schedule rather than to order reactively — not to pretend the cost is not there. Ask on WhatsApp about scheduling and pack availability before you write a monthly delivery into a production calendar.

The five checks before you commit the money

A forecast is a set of claims about the future. These are the five worth testing first.

The arithmetic above is reproducible and, at the level of materials, it is close to certain: CSI's prices are published and the multiplication does not lie. Everything that makes an expansion succeed or fail sits outside it. These five checks are in order of how often they are the thing that goes wrong.

1. Can you sell 5,000 a month before you can make them?

This is the only check that matters more than cash. The forecast turns ₹25,67,680.00 into inventory on the assumption that the demand exists. If the honest answer is that you sell 500 and hope for 5,000, scale the production plan to the demand you have evidence for and step it up in stages. A stepped expansion — 500 to 1,500 to 3,000 — costs slightly more in freight per candle and vastly less in stranded inventory.

2. Is the fragrance decision reversible?

Eighty kilograms of Spicy Raspberry a month is ₹4,79,920.00 committed to one scent. Before the expansion, confirm the scent is your proven seller across at least a full season rather than a good quarter, and spread the first month's oil across two or three scents if your range allows it. Fragrance is the least liquid thing you will own: unsold wax makes other candles, unsold jars hold other candles, unsold oil in a scent nobody wants is a written-off asset.

3. Have you measured your reject rate, rather than assumed it?

Weigh the wax you start with and count the candles you finish over one full batch. Whatever percentage comes out is worth more than any published figure, and at 5,000 a month each percentage point of it is 50 candles, which on this specification is ₹11,407.20 of materials. This page assumes no wastage at all, which means every figure on it is a floor and your real cost sits above it.

4. Who is doing the work, and what does that cost?

Five thousand candles a month is roughly 250 a working day, poured, wicked, cured, labelled, boxed and dispatched. Labour is the blank row that grows fastest and the one makers leave at zero longest. It is not a CSI cost and this page will not invent a figure for it, but a forecast that leaves it empty is not a forecast.

5. Where does a tonne of wax live?

One thousand kilograms of wax, 80 kg of oil and 5,000 glass vessels a month need dry storage out of direct sunlight, and in an Indian summer that is a real constraint rather than a formality — Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is sold with a stated shelf life of 60 months in cool, dry storage, and glass in a hot store room is glass you will be replacing. Storage rent is another blank row, and at this volume it stops being notional.

THE ONE PAGE TO TAKE INTO THE DECISION
Write six figures on one sheet: monthly wax in kilograms (1,000 kg), monthly oil in kilograms (80 kg), landed materials a month (₹12,83,840.00), cash committed before the first sale (₹25,67,680.00), gross profit a month at your own price (here ₹17,11,160.00 at an illustrative ₹599.00) and your own costs per candle. If the last figure is still blank, the decision is not ready. Everything else on this page is working.
Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA sells wax, fragrance oil, vessels and wicks, and this page still tells you that going from 500 to 5,000 candles a month will not lower your cost per candle by a single paisa on this shopping list. The wax ladder is flat above the 500 g pack, the oil ladder is flat above the smallest pack, the wick ladder is flat everywhere, and the one real step — the vessel — is already available to you at 100 jars. Anyone who tells you a ten-times expansion pays for itself through better raw-material pricing is describing a different supplier's price list, not this one. The honest case for the expansion is volume of gross profit, not improvement in unit cost.

Every CSI price here is live stock in September 2026, taxes included, and the linked product pages are authoritative if anything changes. The specification costed is 200 g of wax at a fragrance load of 8% of wax weight, so 16 g of oil and 216 g of scented wax per candle; the wax-weight reading is stated in the visible text and carried throughout. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 states a maximum load of 10% of total wax weight and the Spicy Raspberry page publishes no candle usage range, so the wax grade's stated maximum is the only published limit on this pairing and 8% sits under it. Your 500 and 5,000 candles a month are your own production figures. The ₹599.00 retail price, the gross margin derived from it and the assumption that you carry a month of finished stock are illustrative and are labelled as such wherever they appear. The page assumes zero wastage, which is an assumption and not measured data. Inbound delivery uses the stored packed weight of each variant and the published flat weight bands as at September 2026; ₹80.00 a kilogram is the lowest rate per kilogram any published band works out at and is used as a planning floor, not a quotation. No delivery time, courier or per-city estimate appears anywhere on this page, because the store publishes none. Labels, outer boxes, courier to your own customer, payment and marketplace fees, advertising, labour, electricity, storage and rent are not CSI products and are left blank throughout.

Frequently asked questions

How much wax and fragrance do 5,000 candles a month need?
On a 200 g wax pour at 8% of wax weight, 1,000 kg of wax and 80 kg of fragrance oil a month, plus 5,000 vessels and 5,000 wicks. In CSI pack counts that is 100 ten-kilogram packs of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 and 80 one-kilogram packs of Spicy Raspberry. At a 150 g pour the same month is 750 kg of wax and 60 kg of oil.
Will my cost per candle fall when I buy ten times as much?
Not on this shopping list. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is ₹507.40 a kilogram at the 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg packs alike, Spicy Raspberry is flat to within a paisa a gram above its smallest pack, and Eco Candle Wicks Thick (C2) is ₹9.44 each at every pack size. The one step is the vessel, from ₹25.96 to ₹21.24 a piece at the Black / 100 pack, worth ₹4.72 a candle — and 100 jars is a fifth of a 500-candle month, so you can have that today. Materials stay at ₹228.14 a candle at either volume.
How much cash do I need before the first new candle is sold?
One landed month at 5,000 candles is ₹12,83,840.00. If you also carry a month of finished stock while it sells, ₹25,67,680.00, of which ₹23,10,912.00 is new money above what 500 a month already ties up. The month-of-stock assumption is about your operation, not a CSI figure — change the multiplier if your rhythm is different.
What gross profit does 5,000 candles a month produce?
At an illustrative ₹599.00 retail price, ₹17,11,160.00 a month on landed materials, a margin of 57.13%, against ₹1,71,116.00 at 500 candles. Each of those is gross profit on materials and inbound delivery only. Packaging, courier to your customer, payment fees, advertising, labour and rent come out of that and are not CSI costs, so they are left blank here for you to fill in from your own quotes.
Can I order a month of materials at this volume in one delivery?
Not at published rates. The month's packed weight at 5,000 candles is 1,789.0 kg and the largest published band covers 50 kg in one consignment, so plan at least 36 deliveries. The largest published wax pack is 10 kg; for a single larger consignment the store points you to WhatsApp. Rates and bands are as published in September 2026.
Should I scale in one step or in stages?
On the arithmetic alone one step is no worse per candle, because nothing improves with volume here. On risk, stages win: a 500-to-1,500-to-3,000 path costs a little more in inbound delivery per candle and puts far less of the ₹23,10,912.00 at risk before the demand is proven. Use the resource table at each step rather than forecasting the end state once.

Figures verified September 2026 (CSI live pricing). The reader's figures, used exactly as given: 500 candles a month now and 5,000 candles a month after the expansion. Series convention: fragrance load is a percentage of wax weight, so the specification costed is 200 g of wax plus 16 g of oil at 8%, 216 g poured, stated in the visible text and carried throughout. Live CSI prices, September 2026, taxes included. Wax: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 500 g ₹260.00 (₹520.00/kg), 1 kg ₹507.40, 5 kg ₹2,537.00, 10 kg ₹5,074.00 (₹507.40/kg); stated maximum fragrance load 10% of total wax weight, stated shelf life 60 months in cool, dry storage. Fragrance: Spicy Raspberry 15g ₹99.00 (₹6.60/g), 50g ₹299.00, 100g ₹599.00, 500g ₹2,999.00, 1kg ₹5,999.00 (₹6.00/g); the page publishes no candle usage range, so the wax grade's stated maximum of 10% is the only published limit on this pairing. Vessel: Mini Glass Jars Black / 5 ₹129.80 (₹25.96 a piece), Black / 25 ₹634.25, Black / 50 ₹1,180.00, Black / 100 ₹2,124.00 (₹21.24 a piece); no fill weight is published for it, so no capacity is claimed and the vessel is priced per piece. Wick: Eco Candle Wicks Thick (C2) 10 ₹94.40, 100 ₹944.00, 1,000 ₹9,440.00 (₹9.44 each at every pack size); Thin (C1) ₹5.90 each. Packed weights, from the stored variant weights: wax 10 kg pack 11.0 kg, oil 1kg pack 1.1 kg, Black / 100 jar pack 12.0 kg, Thick (C2) 1,000-wick pack 0.2 kg, giving 0.3578 kg of inbound packed weight per candle. Shipping: published flat weight bands as at September 2026; the lowest rate per kilogram any published band works out at is ₹80.00 a kilogram, used throughout as a planning floor and not as a quotation, and the largest published band covers 50 kg in one consignment. Published order-value discount codes quoted: HAPPY5 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 8% over ₹12,000, YAY10 10% over ₹20,000. Illustrative: the ₹599.00 retail price and every revenue, gross profit and gross margin figure derived from it; the four pour weights in the rescaling table, which are production specifications to read a measurement against and not published jar capacities; the assumption that a month of finished stock is carried. The page assumes zero wastage, which is an assumption and not measured data. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
