First corporate order · what to secure first
We don't publish lead times, and no page can honestly tell you how many days each material takes to reach you. What you can plan on is which materials you can't replace once the client has approved them, and which ones showed stock gaps on our own listings. Secure those first.
58.4%
share of this order's CSI material bill that sits in the two items to secure first — the approved oil (₹34,987.00) and jars (₹29,028.00) · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Which raw materials have the longest lead times? CSI does not publish lead times, so we won't guess at them. For planning, rank by risk instead. Anything the client has approved that can't be swapped (the fragrance and the jar), anything that showed stock gaps on the listings, and anything made to order outside CSI (printed labels and boxes) is secured first. Confirm stock and dispatch for your exact quantities on WhatsApp.

What should I order first for a corporate candle order? The approved fragrance oil in its full quantity, then the approved jars. For 400 × 200 g Saffron Cedarwood candles that is 6.7 kg of oil (₹34,987.00) and 410 White Matte Jars (₹29,028.00), 58.4% of the CSI material bill. Then brief your printer, then wick, dye and wax.

Why secure fragrance oil first? Because it's the one thing the client chose by smell, and stock on individual oils and sizes varies. On the 24 September pull, 7 of 93 oils had no size in stock, and several others had gaps. Sacred Sandal Ember, for example, was in stock only at 500 g. A big order may need more than one size's worth.

How do I plan without published lead times? Before you accept the client's date, send CSI your full list with quantities and ask for stock and dispatch confirmation. Then work back from the delivery date, allowing time to test the delivered materials, pour, cure, and a buffer. I Have a Large Candle Order with a Strict Delivery Date — How Much Extra Raw-Material Inventory Should I Keep in Case of Rejects or Supplier Delays? shows a backward schedule.
The short answer
Lead times: Not published by CSI. Ask on WhatsApp for stock and dispatch confirmation on your exact quantities before accepting a date.
Order of securing: 1 Approved oil · 2 Approved jars · 3 Printed labels and boxes (your printer) · 4 Tested wick · 5 Approved dye · 6 Wax · 7 Tools and sundries.

What to secure first on a first corporate order — by how hard it is to replace after approval 1 Fragrance oil — client-approved scent · confirm stock for the full kg 2 Jars — client-approved look · confirm count before paying 3 Printed labels & boxes — outside CSI · your printer's timeline 4 Wick — burn-tested · a change means retesting 5 Dye — approved shade · some colours out of stock 6 Wax — most interchangeable · still confirm the full quantity 7 Tools & sundries — interchangeable · buy alongside Order of securing, not a measured lead time — CSI publishes no lead times; confirm stock and dispatch on WhatsApp before accepting the date
The order in which to secure materials on a first corporate order, ranked by how hard each is to replace after the client has approved it. Wider, darker bars sit at the top. This is a securing sequence, not a measured lead time: we don't publish lead times. The top two, the scent and the jar, are also where our own listings showed stock gaps on the pull date.
Straight answer
I've received my first large corporate candle order — which raw materials have the longest lead times and should be secured first?
CSI does not publish lead times, so the honest answer isn't a list of days. It is an order of priority. Secure first whatever the client approved and nobody can swap, and whatever showed stock gaps on our listings. That puts the approved fragrance oil first. On the 24 September pull, 7 of 93 oils had no size in stock and several had gaps at particular sizes. The approved jar comes second: stock quantities aren't published, and the client has seen that exact jar. Printed labels and boxes come third, because they run on your printer's timeline, not ours. The tested wick, the approved dye, the wax and the tools follow. For 400 × 200 g Saffron Cedarwood candles, the first two items are 6.7 kg of oil (₹34,987.00) and 410 White Matte Jars (₹29,028.00), 58.4% of the CSI material bill. Before you accept the client's date, send us the full list with quantities on WhatsApp and ask for stock and dispatch confirmation. Then work backwards from delivery.
One line: no lead times are published — so secure the scent and the jar the client approved first, and confirm stock before you confirm the date.
Start with one message. Send us the oil, jar, wax, wick and quantities for the order, for example 6.7 kg Saffron Cedarwood, 410 White Matte Jars, 80 kg CSI 464 and 420 Eco Thin C1 wicks. Ask us to confirm stock and dispatch timing before you give the client a date.

What we can't tell you, and what we can

A page that promises you "wax in 3 days, jars in 7" is guessing. We would rather tell you what we actually know.

We don't publish lead times or stock quantities on our listings, and dispatch timing depends on the order and the time of year. So this page won't give you a number of days per material. What we can give you is what our own listings showed on the pull date (24–25 September 2026), and a simple rule for ranking materials when you don't know the days. Rank by how much it would hurt if that item arrived late or couldn't be had. That depends on two things. Can you swap it after the client has approved the sample? And has it shown any sign of limited stock?

The example is a first corporate order: 400 candles, 200 g each, for a company's Diwali gifting. The client approved a Saffron Cedarwood candle in a White Matte Glass Jar with a printed label and a gift box. Wax is Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, rated up to 10% by the wax maker, at 8%, with an Eco Candle Wicks Thin C1 chosen by burn test. Diwali is on 8 November 2026.

Argued against our own interest, plainly. It would be easier to publish reassuring delivery estimates and let you plan on them. We don't publish them, and we would rather you didn't plan a client's date on a number we haven't given you. Ask us, get the stock confirmed for your exact quantities, and then commit. If we can't cover the full quantity of an oil in time, it's far better that you learn it before the client has your date.

The securing order

Stock signals from CSI's listings, pulled 24–25 September 2026 · quantities for 400 × 200 g at 8% with allowances
What to secure, in order, and why
Order Item Can you swap it after approval? Stock signal on the pull This order needs
1 The approved fragrance oil No — the client approved this scent 7 of 93 oils had no size in stock; several had gaps at 100 g or 1 kg 6.7 kg
2 The approved jar No — the client approved this look Stock quantities not published; some variants out of stock on the pull 410 jars (82 packs of 5)
3 Printed labels and boxes (your printer) No — artwork is client-approved Not a CSI item; your printer's timeline Your printer's quote
4 The tested wick Rarely — changing it means a new burn test Eco Thin C1 listed to 1,000-packs; Thick C2 10-pack back in stock on the 25 Sep pull 420 wicks
5 Dye, if the colour is approved Rarely — shade must match Green and yellow liquid dyes and green chips out of stock; black chips 1 in stock Your tested rate × wax weight
6 Wax Only after a test in your jar CSI 464 flakes in stock to 10 kg; CSI 464 pellets out of stock 80 kg
7 Tools and packing sundries Yes — most are interchangeable Wick stickers 100-sheet out of stock (40-pack listed) Top up as needed

The ranking follows one idea. Materials the client has seen or smelled sit at the top, because any substitute means going back to the client. Materials made outside CSI to your artwork sit high, because their timeline belongs to someone else. Materials that are interchangeable, such as sticks, stickers and most tools, sit at the bottom and can be bought alongside anything else. Wax sits low, but not at the bottom. It is the biggest quantity by weight, and switching wax after approval still means a new test in your jar, so confirm the full quantity with the first order.

The CSI principle
Secure first what the client approved. Buy last what nobody will notice you changed.
When lead times are unknown, rank by the cost of a substitute, not the size of the bill. A missing box of stirring sticks costs you a trip. A missing fragrance costs you the order.

1 · The approved oil

The client chose it by smell. There is no substitute you can send without asking them again.

Stock on individual oils moves. On the 24 September pull, seven oils in the collection had no size in stock at all: Rajnigandha, Spiced Rum, Mogra, Baccarat Rouge 540 inspired, Regal Royal Oud, Frankincense and Tonka, and Acqua Di Gio inspired. Others were missing particular sizes. Sacred Sandal Ember was in stock only at 500 g, with 100 g and 1 kg out. The Vetiver 1 kg and the Chocolate Fudge 100 g were out of stock. Several inspired-by oils were in stock only at 50 g. A big order needs kilos, so a scent that is fine for your retail shelf in 100 g bottles can still be short for a corporate run. That is why it comes first.

400 × 16 g + 4% = 6.656 kg · CSI live pricing, pulled 24 September 2026
Saffron Cedarwood — buy the size that is cheapest per gram, not the biggest
How you buy it Packs Cost Per gram paid
Cheapest whole-pack mix 13 × 500 g + 2 × 100 g ₹34,987.00 ₹5.22
All in 1 kg bottles 7 × 1 kg ₹48,073.20 ₹6.87
Difference ₹13,086.20 less Smaller packs also round up closer to the need

Saffron Cedarwood has an unusual price ladder: ₹5.17 a gram at 500 g and ₹6.87 at 1 kg. Buying the order mainly in 500 g bottles costs ₹13,086.20 less than buying it in kilos. Check every oil's ladder before a big order, because the biggest pack isn't always the cheapest. Sage and Cedarwood is priced the same way. When you message us to confirm stock, give the size you want as well as the total weight, since stock can differ by size.

Ask for the documents in the same message
Corporate buyers often ask for safety paperwork. Ask for the IFRA certificate and the MSDS for the approved oil when you confirm stock, not the week of delivery. We don't list individual oils' IFRA percentages or flash points on this page, so get the certificate.

2 · The approved jars

The client has seen the jar, so a different jar is a different product. The White Matte Glass Jar is listed in packs of five at ₹354.00 (₹70.80 each). This order needs 410 jars with a 2% breakage allowance, 82 packs, for ₹29,028.00. Stock quantities aren't published, so confirm the count. Jar variants also run out independently. On the pull, the White version of the Heart Cutout Velvet Jar and the orange votive glass jar were out of stock while their siblings were available. If your approved jar is a specific colour or finish, confirm that exact variant.

The near-enough jar. A maker finds the approved jar short by 60 and fills the gap with a similar-looking jar from elsewhere. The wick that passed the burn test in the approved jar tunnels in the new one, and the client notices two different jars in one delivery. Fix: secure the full jar count, with allowance, before the order is confirmed. If you can't, tell the client now and re-approve an alternative with a new burn test.

Once the oil and jars are secured, 58.4% of the CSI material bill is locked in. That is also the money most at risk if the client changes their mind, which is why I Got an Inquiry for 1,000 Corporate Candles — Should I Purchase All the Raw Materials Before Receiving the Customer's Advance? argues for an advance before this step, and why I Received a Large Candle Order but the Client Hasn't Finalised the Fragrance — Which Raw Materials Can I Safely Buy Before Scent Approval? covers what you can buy before the scent is final.

3 to 7 · Printing, wick, dye, wax, tools

1
3 · Printed labels and boxesNot a CSI item. Your printer's lead time and minimum run decide this one, so brief them the same day the order is confirmed and get their date in writing. Artwork approval by the client often takes longer than the printing itself.
2
4 · The tested wickThe wick passed a burn test in the approved jar, so keep it. Eco Candle Wicks Thin C1 are listed up to 1,000-packs at ₹5.90 each, so 420 wicks cost ₹2,478.00. On the 25 September pull the Thick C2 10-pack was back in stock. Wick sizing per diameter isn't published, so a wick change means a new burn test.
3
5 · Dye, if colour was approvedStock gaps show up here too. On the pull, liquid green and yellow dyes and green chips were out of stock, and black chips had one unit left. If the client approved a coloured candle, confirm the dye with the oil and jars. Doses aren't published, so buy all the order's dye at once at your tested rate.
4
6 · WaxCSI 464 flakes are listed to 10 kg at ₹507.40 a kilo. This order needs 8 × 10 kg, ₹40,592.00. The pellet form was out of stock on the pull, which is a reminder to confirm the exact product. Wax is interchangeable only after a test in your jar.
5
7 · Tools and sundriesMost tools and sundries are interchangeable. Buy them with the wax. The 100-sheet wick stickers were out of stock while the 40-pack (₹100.00) was listed, a small example of why one item's gap rarely matters at this level.

The first week, step by step

Here is the order of actions from the day the client says yes. There are no durations in it, because they depend on answers you will get in the first message. What matters is the sequence.

1
Before you confirm the dateMessage CSI with the full list and quantities. Ask for stock confirmation, dispatch timing and the IFRA and MSDS documents for the oil. Brief your printer and ask for their date.
2
When the advance arrivesPay for and secure the oil and the jars first, in one order if possible. I Got an Inquiry for 1,000 Corporate Candles — Should I Purchase All the Raw Materials Before Receiving the Customer's Advance? covers how much to commit before the advance.
3
Same dayOrder the wick, the dye if needed, the wax and the sundries, ideally together with the oil and jars so everything comes from one confirmed order.
Don't give the client a date until someone has confirmed the stock. Your date is only as good as your supplier's answer.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. This page could have printed reassuring delivery estimates. We don't publish lead times, so it doesn't. It lists the stock gaps on our own listings instead, and asks you to confirm stock with us before you give a client a date.

Oil and wax prices and stock signals are from CSI's live listings, pulled 24 September 2026. Jar-variant, dye, wick and sundry stock and prices were pulled 24–25 September 2026. White Matte Jar and Eco wick prices are Blog 760's, verified 10 September 2026. Stock changes daily, so the signals here are examples of why to confirm, not a current stock list.

The securing order is a planning method, not a measured lead time. Allowances are working assumptions. Printing is outside CSI and runs on your printer's timeline. For stock confirmation, dispatch timing, GST invoicing, or MSDS and IFRA documents, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

What is CSI's delivery time for bulk candle supplies?
CSI doesn't publish lead times or stock quantities. For a large or dated order, send your full list with quantities on WhatsApp and ask for stock confirmation and dispatch timing before you commit to your client's date.
Which candle raw material should I buy first for a big order?
The approved fragrance oil, in the full quantity, because it can't be swapped without the client re-approving and stock varies by oil and size. The approved jar comes second. Then brief your printer, then wick, dye, wax and tools.
Is 1 kg fragrance oil always cheaper than 500 g?
No. Saffron Cedarwood is ₹5.17 a gram at 500 g and ₹6.87 at 1 kg, so for this 400-candle order mainly 500 g bottles cost ₹13,086.20 less than kilos. Most oils are nearly flat above 100 g, and a few cost slightly more per gram in the kilo. Check each oil's ladder.
What if the fragrance I need is out of stock?
Ask CSI on WhatsApp about a restock before you accept the order. If the timing doesn't work, offer the client an alternative before approval, not after. Testing a replacement needs samples, a burn test and client sign-off, so allow time for it.
How far ahead should I order jars for a corporate order?
As soon as the client approves the sample and the advance arrives. Confirm stock for the exact variant and count, including a breakage allowance, first. We don't publish lead times, so the safe point is to secure them before you commit to the date.
How much do raw materials cost for 400 corporate candles?
For 200 g candles with Saffron Cedarwood at 8%, CSI 464 wax, White Matte Jars, Eco wicks and tissue, with allowances: ₹1,09,685.00 at listed prices. Labels, boxes and delivery are your own quotes.
