₹7.49
the cheapest gram of orange at CSI — Juicy Orange at the 100 g tier · the kilogram is ₹7.50 a gram · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What does orange fragrance oil cost wholesale at CSI?Juicy Orange is ₹749 / 100 g and ₹7,499 / 1 kg. Orange no.3 is ₹803 / 100 g and ₹8,032 / 1 kg. Vanilla Orange Blossom is ₹829 / 100 g and ₹8,294 / 1 kg. Full matrix below.
Which size is cheapest per gram? The 100 g tier, on all three oils. The kilogram works out fractionally dearer per gram than ten 100 g bottles, not cheaper.
What does orange cost me per candle? On a 200 g candle at 8% (16 g of oil): ₹119.84 Juicy Orange, ₹128.48 Orange no.3, ₹132.64 Vanilla Orange Blossom. At 10% (20 g): ₹149.80, ₹160.60 and ₹165.80.
How much should I buy? Less than you think. Citrus top notes are the most volatile in any catalogue, so buy roughly one season — 12 to 16 weeks — and reorder rather than sitting on a kilogram for a year.
The per-gram floor is 100 g on all three. ₹7.490, ₹8.030 and ₹8.290 a gram respectively. The 1 kg drums work out at ₹7.499, ₹8.032 and ₹8.294. The kilogram is not a volume discount on this family.
Buy shallow on citrus. Orange is the wrong family to hold twelve months of. Size the order to a season, store it sealed, dark, cool and upright, and spend the money on two oranges rather than one.
Filled cells are the cheapest gram on each row: on all three oils the 100 g bottle, with the 1 kg drum fractionally higher, not lower. Figures are the listed variant price divided by pack weight — CSI live pricing, September 2026.
What does orange fragrance oil cost wholesale in India, and how much of it should a candle brand buy?
CSI stocks three orange oils and no generic "orange". Juicy Orange runs ₹126 / 15 g · ₹379 / 50 g · ₹749 / 100 g · ₹3,749 / 500 g · ₹7,499 / 1 kg. Orange no.3 runs ₹402 / 50 g · ₹803 / 100 g · ₹8,032 / 1 kg, with no 15 g and no 500 g tier. Vanilla Orange Blossom runs ₹415 / 50 g · ₹829 / 100 g · ₹8,294 / 1 kg, also with no 15 g and no 500 g. On all three, the 100 g bottle is the cheapest gram — ₹7.490, ₹8.030 and ₹8.290 — and the kilogram costs marginally more per gram, not less. On a 200 g candle at an 8% load that is ₹119.84 to ₹132.64 of fragrance per candle, or ₹59,920 to ₹66,320 across a 500-unit run. The buying advice runs against our own till: think hard before taking a kilogram of orange. Citrus top notes are the most volatile molecules you will buy, and a drum opened and re-opened over a year degrades in a way a patchouli or an amber oud does not. Buy roughly 12 to 16 weeks of consumption, split across two oranges rather than deep on one, and reorder. Scent-by-scent character is on the orange buying page.
One line: the 100 g tier is the cheapest gram on all three orange oils, the kilogram is not a discount, and citrus is the one family where the deep buy is the wrong buy.
Trialling all three costs ₹943 — ₹126 for 15 g of Juicy Orange, then ₹402 and ₹415, because Orange no.3 and Vanilla Orange Blossom start at 50 g.
Three oils, eleven live variants between them, one table. The gaps in it matter as much as the numbers.
There is no product called "Orange" at CSI, and you should be wary of any supplier selling you one without naming the composition. What the store stocks is Juicy Orange, Orange no.3 and Vanilla Orange Blossom — three separate oils with three separate price ladders. Which belongs in which candle is answered on the orange product-choice guide. This page assumes that decision is made and you now need to know what it costs at volume.
Wholesale matrix · CSI live pricing, September 2026
All three orange oils, every size, in rupees and rupees per gram
The missing tiers are the first thing to plan around.Juicy Orange is the only one of the three with a 15 g trial size and the only one with a 500 g middle rung. Orange no.3 and Vanilla Orange Blossom have neither. Two consequences. First, trialling them costs more: ₹126 gets you into Juicy Orange, while the cheapest way into the other two is ₹402 and ₹415 — three times the entry cost for a scent you have not tested in your wax. Second, there is no middle purchase: once you outgrow 100 g of Orange no.3 at ₹803, the next rung is the kilogram at ₹8,032. Juicy Orange steps through ₹3,749 for 500 g on the way.

Citrus gourmand · three tiers only
Vanilla Orange Blossom
The dearest orange on the shelf at ₹8.29 a gram, on the same three-tier ladder as Orange no.3. The premium over Juicy Orange is ₹0.80 a gram, or ₹12.80 per 200 g candle at 8%. Whether that is worth paying is a formulation question, handled on the product-choice page.
Why 100 g is the floor, and the kilogram is not a discount
Most fragrance oils reward the bigger pack, and some reward it substantially. Eucalyptus Spearmint is ₹354 for 100 g — ₹3.54 a gram — and ₹3,068 for a kilogram, ₹3.068 a gram: a genuine 13% per-gram drop for taking the drum. Gilli Mitti (Patchouli) flattens instead, holding ₹8.96 a gram from 50 g to ₹8,960 per kilogram. The three orange oils do neither. On all three the cheapest gram is the 100 g bottle, and the kilogram is fractionally dearer per gram.

The honest size of that finding is: tiny in money, large in what it means for how you buy. Nine rupees on seven and a half thousand is a rounding error and nobody should reorganise an order to capture it. The direction is what matters. When a kilogram is genuinely cheaper per gram, the deep buy pays you for carrying the storage risk. Here there is no payment. You take on twelve months of ageing, headspace and heat exposure on the most fragile molecules in the catalogue and get nothing back. The 500 g tier behaves the same way: five 100 g bottles of Juicy Orange cost ₹3,745 against ₹3,749 for the half-kilo.
What this does and does not mean
It does not mean 100 g bottles suit a large brand. Ten bottles is ten seals and ten lots of packaging, and if you pour eight kilograms of orange a quarter the drum is the sane logistics choice. It means that on this family the per-gram argument for going deep does not exist, so the decision rests purely on shelf life, cash flow and handling.
The CSI principle
A volume tier is only a discount if the price per gram actually falls. On orange it does not — so buy what you will use, not what looks like a deal.
We publish this knowing it argues against the largest order on the page. A kilogram of orange bought on a misunderstanding becomes a weak candle in month nine, and a maker whose candles go weak stops reordering.
What orange costs per candle, and per 500-unit run
Per-gram numbers compare oils; per-candle numbers price product; per-run numbers size a purchase order. All three are below on one basis: a 200 g finished candle, priced at the 100 g tier, at the two loads most Indian container makers pour. The ceiling is set by the wax, not the oil — Luxury Soy Wax Chunks are formulated to hold up to 13% and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 up to 10%. Those are the wax manufacturer's stated formulation limits, not regulatory limits.

Three things fall out of that table. One: the spread between the cheapest and dearest orange is ₹6,400 across a 500-unit run at 8% — real money, but not the difference between a viable product and an unviable one. Two: the load matters more than the oil. Moving from 8% to 10% on Juicy Orange adds ₹14,980 to the same run, more than double that spread. Decide the load first, on burn performance, then the oil. Three: fragrance is only one line. A 200 g candle at 8% also carries 184 g of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks or CSI 464, plus the jar, the Eco Candle Wick and your labour. Full cost-build method is in how to price candles in India 2026.
Priced above:Juicy Orange ₹749 / 100 g · Orange no.3 ₹803 / 100 g · Vanilla Orange Blossom ₹829 / 100 g. For scale against the rest of the fresh shelf: Eucalyptus Spearmint ₹354 / 100 g and Lemongrass and Lime ₹590 / 100 g — orange is the dearest gram in that group at CSI. Wax, jars and wicks are priced on their own product pages, which are authoritative.
Why citrus is the worst family to buy deep in
A kilogram of orange sitting on a shelf for a year is a worse risk than a kilogram of oud sitting there for two. This is the part of a wholesale page that costs us the order.
Fragrance oils do not all age the same way. What gives a citrus oil its character is a set of light, highly volatile top-note molecules — the things that read as bright and zesty the moment a lid comes off. Those same molecules are first to evaporate from an opened bottle, first to change on exposure to air and warmth, and first to go quiet in a finished candle. Heavier families do not have this problem to anything like the same degree. The weight in Amber Oud Royal, Gilli Mitti (Patchouli) or Saffron Cedarwood sits in the base, and a base note is a base note because it is slow to leave. A kilogram of Amber Oud Royal at ₹11,640 is a far larger cheque than a kilogram of Juicy Orange at ₹7,499, and still the safer one to write: what you are storing does not depend on its most fragile molecules for its character. Orange does.
So a wholesale page for orange cannot honestly be written like one for oud. The convenient version puts the 1 kg price in the largest type and leaves you to it. The accurate version is that order size should be set by how fast you will pour it, not by what you can afford in one go. A brand that buys a kilogram of Juicy Orange and pours 200 g a quarter has bought fifteen months of stock in a family that does not keep fifteen months. The last jars will not be the candle the first jars were, and no cure schedule fixes it.
1
Work out your real orange consumption, not your total outputTake monthly output, multiply by the share that is actually orange, then by grams per candle. A maker pouring 300 candles a month across six scents sells roughly 50 orange candles: 800 g a month at 8%. At 100 a month it is about 17 candles, or 272 g. Those two need different orders.
2
Multiply by 12 to 16 weeks, not by twelve monthsThree to four months is a reasonable holding period for citrus. The 300-a-month maker needs about 2.4 kg a quarter and belongs on kilogram tiers, reordering each quarter. The 100-a-month maker needs about 820 g — eight or nine 100 g bottles, or one kilogram treated as a season's stock, not a year's.
3
Check the number against the tier before you buy itOne kilogram is 62 candles at 8% and 50 at 10%. Five hundred grams is 31 and 25; 100 g is 6 and 5. If the tier you are about to click covers more candles than you will pour in four months, that is not bulk buying, it is storage risk — and the per-gram table says you are not paid for it.
4
Spend the depth on breadth instead₹7,499 buys one kilogram of Juicy Orange. The same money buys 100 g of all three oranges (₹2,381) plus five further 100 g bottles of Juicy Orange, with ₹1,373 spare. You end the quarter knowing which of the three your customers buy, rather than owning a lot of one of them.
Buy 100 g of two oranges rather than 1 kg of one. This is the recommendation and it costs us roughly ₹6,000 an order. Juicy Orange at ₹749 plus Orange no.3 at ₹803 is ₹1,552 for 200 g — about twelve 200 g candles at 8%, across two scents, both fresh and both testable against your wax, wick and customers inside one cure cycle. Against ₹7,499 for a kilogram of one orange you have not proved sells. If both work, reorder deeper with evidence. Related: how much fragrance oil a candle business actually needs.
The cheapest kilogram in the world is expensive if you throw a third of it away.

Pouring for Diwali on 8 November 2026? Citrus blends settle faster than woody and gourmand oils but still want a full cure, so fragrance should be in hand now rather than late October. Bulk pricing, GST invoicing, IFRA and MSDS are handled on WhatsApp.
Everything above collapses into one table: grams of a single fragrance per month, on 200 g candles, if every candle carries the same scent. If orange is one of six scents, divide by six; if it is half of what you sell, halve it. Either way this is the number the purchase order is built on.

Those "1 kg lasts" figures assume the whole output is orange, which almost no brand runs — read them as the ceiling. The realistic case: at 300 candles a month across six scents, orange consumes about 800 g a month at 8%, so a kilogram is five weeks of stock and a quarter's cover is 2.4 kg. At 100 candles a month across six scents it is 272 g, and a kilogram is a little over one season. Both are sensible orders. A kilogram bought by a maker pouring five orange candles a month — 80 g, or roughly a year of stock — is not.
Storage — sealed, dark, cool, upright
Citrus degrades faster with heat and headspace than any other family, so storage matters more here than on a woody oil. Keep bottles sealed — every opening exchanges air, and oxygen is what changes the top notes. Keep them dark, in a closed cupboard or the carton they arrived in. Keep them cool, which in most of India means away from the workbench, the melter and any west-facing wall through May and June. Keep them upright, so the seal is not in constant contact with the oil. And note the drum's headspace problem: a 1 kg container drawn down over a year spends most of its life mostly empty and mostly full of air. Ten 100 g bottles opened one at a time do not, which is the one real argument for the smaller tier beyond the per-gram table.
On paperwork: IFRA and MSDS documentation is available on request, and every order is invoiced with GST. If you are selling into retail, quoting a corporate gifting contract or answering a marketplace compliance request, ask for both before you place the order rather than after. Message +91 7397976926 with the oils and sizes you are quoting on, and the documents come back against those products. Split-size orders across the three oranges go to the same number. Wider sourcing is covered in the complete fragrance oil wholesale buyer's guide and buying fragrance oils in bulk in India.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. On a wholesale page the convenient advice is always "take the kilogram". We have published the opposite twice: the 100 g tier is the cheapest gram on all three orange oils, and citrus is the family where a deep buy carries the most risk. Both cost us the larger order, and both are checkable against the matrix above.
Every price here is a live CSI variant price pulled in September 2026 and links to its product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Per-gram figures are the listed price divided by pack weight — our arithmetic, not a price shown on the store. The three orange oils CSI stocks are Juicy Orange, Orange no.3 and Vanilla Orange Blossom; there is no generic single-note "Orange" product and we will not imply one exists. Fragrance load ceilings quoted are the wax manufacturers' stated formulation limits: up to 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, up to 10% for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464.

Frequently asked questions
What is the wholesale price of orange fragrance oil in India at CSI?
At the 1 kg tier: Juicy Orange ₹7,499, Orange no.3 ₹8,032, Vanilla Orange Blossom ₹8,294. At the 100 g tier — the cheapest per gram on all three — ₹749, ₹803 and ₹829. Juicy Orange also ships in 15 g at ₹126 and 500 g at ₹3,749; the other two are stocked in 50 g, 100 g and 1 kg only. CSI live pricing, September 2026 — the linked product pages are authoritative.
Is the 1 kg drum cheaper per gram than the 100 g bottle?
No, and that is unusual enough to state plainly. Ten 100 g bottles of Juicy Orange cost ₹7,490 against ₹7,499 for the kilogram; Orange no.3 ₹8,030 against ₹8,032; Vanilla Orange Blossom ₹8,290 against ₹8,294. The gaps are a few rupees and nobody should restructure an order over them — but there is no per-gram reward for going deep on orange, so the decision rests on shelf life, handling and cash flow.
How much orange fragrance oil do I need for 500 candles?
For 200 g candles: 8 kg at an 8% load, 10 kg at 10%. At 100 g tier pricing that is ₹59,920 or ₹74,900 of Juicy Orange, ₹64,240 or ₹80,300 of Orange no.3, ₹66,320 or ₹82,900 of Vanilla Orange Blossom. The load choice moves the bill further than the oil choice does: 8% to 10% on Juicy Orange adds ₹14,980, while the whole cheapest-to-dearest spread at 8% is ₹6,400.
Why is trialling Orange no.3 and Vanilla Orange Blossom more expensive?
Neither is stocked in 15 g. The cheapest way into Orange no.3 is ₹402 for 50 g and into Vanilla Orange Blossom₹415 for 50 g, against ₹126 for 15 g of Juicy Orange. Trialling all three costs ₹943. Neither carries a 500 g tier either, so the step above 100 g is the full kilogram — plan the reorder point rather than discovering it mid-run.
How long can I store orange fragrance oil before it loses quality?
Treat it as a shorter-lived purchase than a woody or gourmand oil. The light top-note molecules that make a citrus read as bright are the most volatile in any range and the first to change with air, warmth and repeated opening. Buy roughly 12 to 16 weeks of real consumption, keep bottles sealed, dark, cool and upright, and prefer several smaller containers opened one at a time to one drum sitting half-empty for months.
Should I buy one kilogram of one orange or 100 g of two?
Two, until you have sales data. 100 g of Juicy Orange at ₹749 plus 100 g of Orange no.3 at ₹803 is ₹1,552 for 200 g — about twelve 200 g candles at 8%, across two oranges, both fresh and both testable inside one cure cycle. A kilogram of one is ₹7,499 committed to a scent you have not proved. Buy breadth first, then go deep on whichever sells. Documentation and split-size bulk quotes are available on WhatsApp.
