Six reviews, all published through Judge.me on candlemakingsuppliesindia.store, all recorded by Judge.me as verified buyers. Reena Bagal's is the only published review on Sandalwood Fragrance Oil. The others are on Woody Oud Fragrance Oil, Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, Soy Pillar Wax, Eco Candle Wicks and the Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid — the other lines a 5 kg sandalwood run consumes. Mint Sandalwood has no published review at all, so none appears here. Dipali Sable's asks for a bulk discount; CSI publishes none, and this page does not promise one. No review mentions a wholesale rate, a trade account or a 5 kg purchase. Wording is unedited.

Five kilograms of Sandalwood Fragrance Oil is five separate 1 kg bottles at ₹5,026.80 each — ₹25,134. Mint Sandalwood is ₹24,995. There is no rate card, no slab and no 5 kg pack, and above 100 g the ladder is completely flat, so the assembly route makes no difference at all.

5 × the 1 kg bottle at ₹5,026.80 · ₹5.0268 per gram · identical whether you buy five 1 kg bottles, ten 500 g packs or fifty 100 g packs · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What does 5 kg of Sandalwood Fragrance Oil cost? ₹25,134, as 5 × ₹5,026.80. Mint Sandalwood is ₹24,995, as 5 × ₹4,999. That is ₹139 apart across five kilograms.

Is there a 5 kg pack? No. CSI's fragrance ladder stops at 1 kg. Five kilograms is five separate 1 kg bottles, with five separate batch codes, and nothing on the site is sold as a 5 kg drum.

Is there a wholesale rate, slab or trade tier? No. CSI publishes one ladder for every buyer, and no rate card, no slab, no minimum order quantity and no credit term. You are welcome to ask for a quote on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926, but we are not going to imply a better number is waiting behind that message.

Does buying it in bigger packs save anything? On straight Sandalwood, no — ₹0. The per-gram price is flat at ₹5.0268 from 100 g upwards, so five 1 kg bottles, ten 500 g packs and fifty 100 g packs all come to exactly ₹25,134.
The short answer
The number: Sandalwood Fragrance Oil at 5 kg = 5 × ₹5,026.80 = ₹25,134. Mint Sandalwood at 5 kg = 5 × ₹4,999 = ₹24,995.
The structure: no pack above 1 kg exists, and no rate card, slab, trade tier, MOQ or credit term is published. One ladder, every buyer.
The finding: straight Sandalwood is flat at ₹5.0268/g from 100 g upwards. Every route to five kilograms above that rung costs the same ₹25,134. The volume saving is exactly ₹0.
Four routes to 5 kg of Sandalwood Fragrance Oil — bar length is the price paid, to scale 5 × 1 kg ₹25,134 · ₹5.0268/g 10 × 500 g ₹25,134 · ₹5.0268/g 50 × 100 g ₹25,134 · ₹5.0268/g 100 × 50 g ₹27,140 · ₹5.428/g · +₹2,006 Three bars are identical because the per-gram price is flat from the 100 g rung upwards. Only the 50 g rung is dearer.
Drawn to scale from CSI live variant prices, September 2026: 1 kg ₹5,026.80 · 500 g ₹2,513.40 · 100 g ₹502.68 · 50 g ₹271.40. The top three bars are not a rendering error — they are the same length because they are the same price. A volume buyer's assembly choice on straight Sandalwood is worth ₹0 above the 100 g rung, and ₹2,006 against them if they drop to 50 g bottles. CSI publishes no 5 kg pack, no slab and no rate card; the ladder above is the whole of it.
Straight answer
What is the wholesale price of 5 kg of sandalwood fragrance oil in India?
At CSI there is no wholesale price, because there is no wholesale tier. One published ladder applies to every buyer, and the largest fragrance-oil pack in the catalogue is 1 kg — so five kilograms of Sandalwood Fragrance Oil is five separate 1 kg bottles at ₹5,026.80 each, ₹25,134 in total. Five kilograms of Mint Sandalwood is 5 × ₹4,999 = ₹24,995, which is ₹139 apart across the whole five kilograms. There is no slab, no rate card, no trade account, no published minimum order quantity and no credit term — if you read one anywhere, it is not ours. You are very welcome to message us on WhatsApp for a quote at this volume, and we will answer on availability, batch consistency and documentation; we are not going to hint that a better number exists behind it. The useful part of the answer is the next one: on straight Sandalwood the ladder is flat at ₹5.0268 per gram from 100 g upwards, so every route to five kilograms costs the same ₹25,134, and the money in this order is in the wax and the glass, not the oil.
One line: 5 kg Sandalwood = 5 × ₹5,026.80 = ₹25,134, with no 5 kg pack, no rate card and a per-gram price that is flat above 100 g — so the assembly route is worth ₹0 and the wax and jars are worth thousands.
Before committing ₹25,134, buy 15 g of Sandalwood at ₹93.22 and 50 g of Mint Sandalwood at ₹299 and burn both in your own wax and jar. ₹392.22 — 1.6% of the order — settles the one question no price ladder can answer for you.
Shop fragrance oils

Four routes to five kilograms, and one price

The question behind "what's your 5 kg rate" is almost always "am I buying it in the wrong sized packs". On straight sandalwood, the answer is that you cannot buy it in the wrong sized packs, because above 100 g they all cost the same.

Start with what actually exists. Sandalwood Fragrance Oil ships in five sizes: 15 g at ₹93.22, 50 g at ₹271.40, 100 g at ₹502.68, 500 g at ₹2,513.40 and 1 kg at ₹5,026.80. That is the top of the ladder. There is no 2 kg bottle, no 5 kg jerry can and no 10 kg drum anywhere in the 92-oil fragrance collection, so a 5 kg order is an order for five 1 kg bottles — or for whatever combination of the smaller rungs you prefer.

Convert each rung to a per-gram figure and the shape becomes obvious. 15 g works out at ₹6.2147 per gram. 50 g at ₹5.428. Then 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg are all ₹5.0268. The ladder steps down twice — once from 15 g to 50 g, once from 50 g to 100 g — and then it stops stepping. It is flat from 100 g upwards. It is not a ladder with a single step in it, and it does not keep improving as the packs get bigger; it improves twice at the very bottom and then holds a straight line for the top three sizes.

Sandalwood Fragrance Oil · every route to 5,000 g
Same oil, same handle, four assemblies — CSI live pricing, September 2026
Route to 5 kg Units Unit price Total ₹ / g Versus five 1 kg bottles
Five 1 kg bottles 5 ₹5,026.80 ₹25,134.00 ₹5.0268 —
Ten 500 g packs 10 ₹2,513.40 ₹25,134.00 ₹5.0268 ₹0
Fifty 100 g packs 50 ₹502.68 ₹25,134.00 ₹5.0268 ₹0
One hundred 50 g bottles 100 ₹271.40 ₹27,140.00 ₹5.428 +₹2,006.00

Three of those four totals are identical to the rupee. That is the single most useful thing a volume sandalwood buyer can know, and it is worth saying in plain words: on this oil, buying bigger does not save you money. It saves you handling. Five bottles are easier to store, easier to decant and easier to audit than fifty pouches, and that is a real operational benefit — but it is not a discount, and anyone selling it to you as one is selling you arithmetic that does not exist.

The one route that does cost more. Drop to 50 g bottles and you pay ₹5.428 per gram instead of ₹5.0268 — ₹27,140 instead of ₹25,134, so ₹2,006 extra for the same five kilograms. That is 8% wasted on packaging granularity. If you are buying five kilograms across several scents and are tempted to take them all in small bottles for bench convenience, price it first; on sandalwood the convenience costs two thousand rupees. Buy the 100 g rung or above and the per-gram price is already as low as it goes.
What a flat ladder tells you about the supplier
A per-gram price that does not move between 100 g and 1 kg means the published price is already the volume price — there is no retail margin sitting on the small packs waiting to be negotiated away on the large ones. It also means the honest answer to "can you do better at 5 kg" is no, and we would rather say so on a public page than let you spend a fortnight chasing a slab that was never there. CSI publishes no rate card, no slab, no trade tier, no minimum order quantity and no credit term. One ladder, every buyer, whether you spend ₹93.22 or ₹25,134.

Mint Sandalwood is ₹139 cheaper across five kilograms, and it does not smell the same

CSI stocks exactly two sandalwood fragrance oils. The second is Mint Sandalwood, and its ladder is shorter: 50 g at ₹299, 100 g at ₹549, 1 kg at ₹4,999. There is no 15 g variant and no 500 g variant, so if you see either quoted, it is not a CSI price. Five kilograms is 5 × ₹4,999 = ₹24,995, against ₹25,134 for straight Sandalwood — ₹139 apart across five kilograms, or 2.8 paise per gram.

Two sandalwood SKUs · the complete published ladders
A dash means the variant does not exist — do not quote it
Oil 15 g 50 g 100 g 500 g 1 kg 5 kg (5 × 1 kg)
Sandalwood Fragrance Oil ₹93.22 ₹271.40 ₹502.68 ₹2,513.40 ₹5,026.80 ₹25,134.00
Mint Sandalwood — ₹299.00 ₹549.00 — ₹4,999.00 ₹24,995.00
Woody Oud (not a sandalwood) ₹93.22 ₹271.40 ₹453.12 ₹2,265.60 ₹4,531.20 ₹22,656.00

Here is where the two oils behave differently, and it is structural rather than generous. Mint Sandalwood's kilogram genuinely beats its 100 g route. Fifty 100 g packs is 50 × ₹549 = ₹27,450, against ₹24,995 for five kilogram bottles — the kilogram route saves ₹2,455 across five kilograms, or 8.9%. Take it in 50 g bottles and the gap widens further: 100 × ₹299 = ₹29,900, which is ₹4,905 worse than the kilogram route.

That is not a volume reward. It exists because there is no 500 g rung to buy. Mint Sandalwood's ladder is 50 g, 100 g, 1 kg, so the jump from the 100 g rung to the kilogram rung is doing the work that two intermediate steps would do on the straight Sandalwood ladder. Per gram the three rungs are ₹5.98, ₹5.49 and ₹4.999 — the price keeps falling because the gaps are wider, not because the supplier is rewarding scale. On a shorter ladder, pack choice matters. On a flat ladder, it does not. Both statements are about the same catalogue.

Read this before you switch to save ₹139. Mint Sandalwood is a blend with a mint top note, not a straight single-note sandalwood. The two are not interchangeable and no arithmetic makes them so. If your range is puja and prayer-room candles, a meditation or yoga-studio line, a classic-wood gifting range, or anything a customer buys because it smells like sandalwood and nothing else, do not substitute Mint Sandalwood across a 312-candle run to save ₹139 — that is 45 paise a candle against changing what the product is. Mint Sandalwood is a good oil on its own terms, where a cooler, fresher opening over a woody base is what you actually want. It is a different brief, not a cheaper version of the same one.
There is no published review to lean on
Straight Sandalwood Fragrance Oil carries one published Judge.me review — Reena Bagal, five stars, verified, October 2025, reproduced at the top of this page in full because it is four words long. Mint Sandalwood has no published review at all. That is not a criticism of the oil; it means the review bank cannot help you decide between them, and a 15 g and a 50 g sample can. What actually separates fragrance oils at different prices is worth reading alongside.

Sandalwood Fragrance Oil
The default choice for a sandalwood range, because it is the one that smells only of sandalwood. A different product, not a cheaper grade of the same one. The mint opening is the point of it, and it is the reason this oil cannot be dropped into a puja or classic-wood range as a substitute. Commercially it is the mirror image of the oil above: a three-rung ladder with no 500 g and no 15 g, which is exactly why its kilogram route saves real money against its 100 g route.

Where the money in a ₹25,134 order actually is

Five kilograms of oil is not a purchase on its own. It is a commitment to a production run, and the run has a bill attached to it that is nearly three times the size of the oil.

Work out what five kilograms is for. CSI states fragrance load as a percentage of total candle weight, so a 200 g candle at 8% is 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax. Five kilograms of oil at that recipe makes 312 candles (5,000 ÷ 16 = 312.5, so 312 whole candles and 8 g spare), and those 312 candles need 57.4 kg of wax (312 × 184 g = 57,408 g). If you intend 8% of the wax rather than of the finished candle, the numbers shift — state which convention you are working to before you place either order, because it is the commonest cause of a wrong one.

Now price the wax in packs that actually exist. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (flakes) sells in 500 g at ₹260, 1 kg at ₹507.40, 5 kg at ₹2,537 and 10 kg at ₹5,074. The nearest real assembly above 57.4 kg is five 10 kg bags, one 5 kg bag, two 1 kg bags and one 500 g bag — 57.5 kg for ₹29,181.80. Add the vessels, the wicks and the wick stickers and you have the full raw-material commitment behind those five bottles of oil.

The full raw-material bill behind 5 kg of sandalwood
312 candles · 200 g finished weight · 8% load · real pack sizes only · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Line What you buy Quantity Cost Share of bill
Wax CSI 464 flakes — 5 × 10 kg + 1 × 5 kg + 2 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 g 57.5 kg ₹29,181.80 43.3%
Fragrance Sandalwood Fragrance Oil — 5 × 1 kg 5 kg ₹25,134.00 37.3%
Vessels 200 ml Salsa jar, golden lid — 3 × 100 Pcs + 1 × 50 Pcs at ₹29.50 each 350 jars ₹10,325.00 15.3%
Wicks Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) — 3 × 100 + 1 × 20 at ₹5.90 each 320 wicks ₹1,888.00 2.8%
Wick stickers Candle Wick Stickers — 8 sheets of 40 at ₹2.50 each 320 stickers ₹800.00 1.2%
Total Raw materials for the run, before labels, boxes, freight and labour 312 candles ₹67,328.80 100%

So the fragrance is 37.3% of the raw-material bill, and the whole run works out at ₹215.80 of raw material per 200 g candle. That is the context in which "what's your 5 kg rate" needs to be asked, because the three decisions that follow are all worth more than the answer to it.

Five levers, ranked by rupees, across the same 312-candle run
The two most people negotiate are at the bottom
# Lever The arithmetic Worth across the run
1 The vessel, like for like 200 ml Salsa golden-lid at ₹29.50 against the same 200 ml Salsa format in coloured glass at ₹62.00 — ₹32.50 a jar × 312 ₹10,140.00
2 The wax grade Luxury Soy Chunks at ₹34,487 for 57.5 kg against CSI 464 at ₹29,181.80 — ₹17.01 a candle ₹5,305.20
3 The load, inside the wax's ceiling 6% costs ₹60.32 of oil a candle, 8% ₹80.43, 10% ₹100.54 — and the same 5 kg yields 416, 312 or 250 candles ₹40.22 a candle in oil alone, and 166 candles of output
4 The oil choice Sandalwood ₹25,134 against Mint Sandalwood ₹24,995 — and they do not smell the same ₹139.00
5 The pack route Five 1 kg bottles, ten 500 g packs or fifty 100 g packs — all ₹25,134 ₹0.00
The CSI principle
On sandalwood, the two things you came here to negotiate are the two smallest numbers on the page.
₹139 for the oil choice and ₹0 for the pack route, against ₹10,140 sitting in the colour of the glass and ₹5,305.20 in the grade of the wax. We sell the oil. We are telling you the oil is not where your margin is, because a buyer who finds ₹15,445.20 in their own bill of materials places a second order and a buyer who spent a fortnight hunting a slab that does not exist does not.

Take each lever properly. The vessel is the largest single saving available and it is a pure like-for-like swap: the same 200 ml Salsa jar with the same 63 mm lug cap, in plain glass with a golden lid at ₹29.50 in the 50- and 100-piece packs, against the coloured-glass version of the identical format at ₹62.00. Both are in stock. If the coloured glass is the brand, keep it and treat the ₹10,140 as a deliberate spend on presentation rather than an accident. If it is not load-bearing, that is ₹32.50 a candle back. Note also that "200 ml" is a volume, not a 200 g fill: pour one, weigh the wax, and design the recipe around the figure you measure. Where a jar publishes a fill capacity — the Apothecary Glass Candle Jar with Dome Lid at ₹212.40 states 500 g — you can plan from the number. Where it does not, pour and weigh.

The wax is the second lever and it is not a free one. CSI 464 at ₹507.40 per kilogram and Luxury Soy Chunks at ₹599 per kilogram are different waxes with different behaviour, and the ₹5,305.20 gap across 57.5 kg buys you the chunks' higher stated ceiling — 13% against 10% — as well as a different set and a different pour. Those two are the only CSI waxes with a published fragrance ceiling. Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399 per kilogram is cheaper than both and tempting as a third option, but it publishes no fragrance-load ceiling, so nothing on this page should be read as saying 8% sits inside it. Ceilings are formulation limits set by the wax maker — the maximum the wax has been made to hold in solution — not regulatory limits.

The load is the lever with the strangest arithmetic, because it changes the number of candles rather than the cost of one. The same ₹25,134 of oil makes 416 candles at 6%, 312 at 8% and 250 at 10%. Dropping from 8% to 6% gets 104 more candles out of the same five kilograms; going to 10% loses 62. But the extra candles are not free — each one needs its own 188 g of wax, its own jar, its own wick — so lowering the load converts fragrance spend into wax and glass spend rather than eliminating it. Per candle, oil plus CSI 464 comes to ₹155.71 at 6%, ₹173.79 at 8% and ₹191.87 at 10%. And 10% is the stated ceiling of CSI 464, so at that load you are at its maximum and only Luxury Soy Chunks at 13% has headroom above it. Sandalwood's weight sits in the base, which is the property that makes it carry from a cool soy pool, so test 6% before you assume you need 8% — on 312 candles that is a genuine question, not a rounding one. How much fragrance oil a candle business actually needs works the batch arithmetic in more detail.

Buying at this volume? Message us with the scent, the quantity and the month you need it, and we will answer on availability, batch consistency, GST invoicing and MSDS or IFRA documentation. We publish no slab and no rate card, so the quote is the ladder — the value of the conversation is the other four answers.
Ask on WhatsApp

Two SKUs, five bottles, and ₹25,134 of cash on a shelf

A volume buyer has a risk a 100 g buyer does not, and it is worth naming precisely. A sandalwood line at CSI depends on exactly two products. There is no third straight sandalwood to fall back on, and the second one smells different, so if the SKU you build on is unavailable for a month, your options are to pause the line, change what the candle smells like, or move to a different note entirely. That is a concentration risk in the supply of a single ingredient, and the answer is not to hope.

1
Confirm availability before you commit the rest of the billFive kilograms of oil commits you to 57.5 kg of wax and 350 jars. Confirm the oil first, on WhatsApp, before the wax and glass go into the cart. The linked product pages are authoritative on stock at any moment, and a same-day check costs you nothing.
2
Hold cover, not just stockIf sandalwood is a permanent line rather than a festive one, decide how many weeks of cover you want and hold that, so a gap in supply lands on your buffer instead of on your order book. Cover is a number you choose deliberately; five kilograms is not automatically it.
3
Decide the fallback now, in writingWrite down what you will pour if the first SKU is unavailable, and tell your customers what the range is built on. If the constraint is genuinely cost rather than the note, Woody Oud at ₹4,531.20 per kilogram is 9.9% cheaper per gram than Sandalwood — ₹22,656 for five kilograms, ₹2,478 less — and it is a resinous woody oil with its own published verified review. It is not a sandalwood. Substituting it is a product decision, not a purchasing one, and your labels have to change with it.
4
Record five batch codes, not oneFive kilograms arrives as five separate 1 kg bottles, and they will not all be from the same fill. Record, per bottle: the batch or lot marking, the invoice date, which production batches it went into, and your burn-test result for those candles. When batch three behaves differently from batch one you will be able to prove it in a morning instead of guessing for a fortnight — and that is the evidence any supplier, including us, needs in order to act on it.
Turnover, labelled honestly as our opinion
Editorial judgement, not CSI policy: five kilograms is 312 candles of one scent, which clears in about six months at 52 candles a month, or in three months at 104 a month. If your sandalwood line is not moving at least fifty candles a month, five kilograms is a year of stock and ₹25,134 of cash sitting still — and since the ladder is flat, buying two kilograms now and three later costs exactly the same. That is the practical value of a flat ladder: it removes the penalty for buying only what you can turn. Sandalwood is also a year-round seller rather than a festive spike — puja, meditation, gifting and hospitality run all twelve months — which makes steady monthly consumption a more reasonable assumption for it than for a Diwali-only scent, and pushes the decision toward regular smaller orders rather than one large one. CSI publishes no shelf-life figure for fragrance oils, so do not plan against a number nobody has stated; ask for the batch documentation with the order, store the bottles sealed, cool and out of sunlight, and keep your own opened-on date per bottle.
A flat price ladder is the only kind that lets you buy exactly what you can sell.
— CandleMakingSuppliesIndia

What to ask a supplier at this volume instead of "what's your 5 kg rate"

When the price is flat, price is the one thing left with nothing to discuss. Everything else on this list changes what five kilograms actually costs you, and none of it appears on a rate card.

Five questions worth more than the rate
And exactly how each one lands in your cost per candle
Ask Why it changes your cost
Batch consistency. Will bottles three, four and five smell and perform like bottle one, and what happens if they do not? A batch that behaves differently mid-run means re-testing the wick, re-cutting the cure, and in the worst case 60 candles you cannot sell at full price. At ₹215.80 of raw material each, that is ₹12,948 — ninety-three times the ₹139 you saved on the oil choice.
IFRA and MSDS documentation for the specific oil, supplied with the order. It is what lets you answer a retailer's compliance questionnaire, a marketplace listing check or a bulk customer's safety query without stalling the order. CSI supplies both on request. A document you cannot produce is a sale you cannot close.
GST invoicing on every line of the order. Input credit on a ₹67,328.80 bill of materials is a real cash-flow number, not paperwork. CSI invoices with GST as standard. A supplier who cannot is quietly more expensive than their price suggests.
Availability in three months, and in six, for this exact SKU. A sandalwood range built on one of two SKUs is exposed to a single gap in supply. Knowing the answer early is what lets you hold cover deliberately rather than discover you needed it.
Pack sizes — what genuinely exists, not what a listing implies. Our ladder stops at 1 kg. If a supplier quotes you a 5 kg drum rate, establish that the drum exists before you plan storage and decanting around it, because a 5 kg figure built from five 1 kg bottles is a different thing from a 5 kg pack.
Every figure above, with its source: Sandalwood Fragrance Oil ₹93.22 / ₹271.40 / ₹502.68 / ₹2,513.40 / ₹5,026.80 · Mint Sandalwood ₹299 / ₹549 / ₹4,999 (no 15 g, no 500 g) · Woody Oud ₹4,531.20 / 1 kg · CSI 464 ₹260 / 500 g, ₹507.40 / 1 kg, ₹2,537 / 5 kg, ₹5,074 / 10 kg · Luxury Soy Chunks ₹299 / 500 g, ₹599 / 1 kg, ₹2,995 / 5 kg, ₹5,999 / 10 kg · Eco Soy CSI 400 ₹399 / 1 kg · 200 ml Salsa golden-lid ₹1,475 / 50 Pcs and ₹2,950 / 100 Pcs (₹29.50 each) · 200 ml Salsa coloured glass ₹3,100 / 50 and ₹6,200 / 100 (₹62.00 each) · Eco Candle Wicks Thin C1 ₹590 / 100 (₹5.90 each) · Candle Wick Stickers ₹100 per sheet of 40 (₹2.50 each) · Apothecary Glass Jar with Dome Lid ₹212.40, 500 g published fill · Candle Making Weighing Scale ₹354.
Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA sells fragrance oil, and this page argues that the fragrance oil is not where your money is. That is deliberate. A buyer arriving on a "5 kg wholesale price" search is usually looking for a slab we do not publish, and the commercially convenient move would be to imply one exists behind a WhatsApp message. Instead: there is no rate card, no slab, no trade tier, no minimum order quantity and no credit term, the largest fragrance pack we sell is 1 kg, and on straight sandalwood the per-gram price is the same at 100 g as it is at five kilograms. If you find your ₹10,140 in the colour of your glass and your ₹5,305.20 in the grade of your wax and order three kilograms instead of five, we are better off than we would be after selling you a story.

Every rupee figure on this page is a live CSI variant price pulled in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing, specification and stock always take precedence. Derived figures — per-gram prices, five-kilogram totals, candle counts, wax quantities and the bill of materials — are arithmetic on those published prices and are shown so you can check them. Fragrance loads are stated as a percentage of total candle weight. The 13% and 10% ceilings belong to Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 respectively and are formulation limits set by the wax manufacturer, not regulatory limits; Eco Soy CSI 400 publishes no ceiling and none is implied for it here. CSI publishes no shelf-life figure for fragrance oils, and none is given.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of 5 kg of Sandalwood Fragrance Oil in India?
₹25,134 at CSI, as 5 × the 1 kg bottle at ₹5,026.80. There is no 5 kg pack — the fragrance ladder stops at 1 kg — so five kilograms is five separate bottles. Mint Sandalwood at the same quantity is 5 × ₹4,999 = ₹24,995. Prices are CSI live pricing, September 2026, and the product pages are authoritative.
Do you have a wholesale rate, a slab or a trade account for 5 kg?
No. CSI publishes one price ladder and it applies to every buyer at every quantity — no rate card, no slab, no trade tier, no published minimum order quantity and no credit term. The cart price does not drop automatically above 1 kg either. You are welcome to ask for a quote on WhatsApp at this volume, and we will answer on availability, batch consistency and documentation — but we are not going to suggest a better number is waiting, because on this oil the published price is already the volume price.
Is it cheaper to buy 5 kg as five 1 kg bottles or as smaller packs?
On straight Sandalwood Fragrance Oil it makes no difference at all. The per-gram price is flat at ₹5.0268 from 100 g upwards, so five 1 kg bottles, ten 500 g packs and fifty 100 g packs all come to exactly ₹25,134. The ladder does step down twice below that — 15 g is ₹6.2147/g and 50 g is ₹5.428/g — so the one route that costs more is one hundred 50 g bottles at ₹27,140, which is ₹2,006 extra. Buy the 100 g rung or above and you are already at the lowest per-gram price there is.
Is Mint Sandalwood a cheaper version of Sandalwood Fragrance Oil?
No. It is ₹139 cheaper across five kilograms, which is 45 paise per 200 g candle at an 8% load, and it is a blend with a mint top note rather than a straight single-note sandalwood. If you supply puja, meditation, prayer-room or classic-wood ranges, do not substitute it across a production run to save ₹139 — you would be changing the product, not the price. Its ladder is also shorter: 50 g, 100 g and 1 kg only, with no 15 g and no 500 g variant.
How many candles will 5 kg of sandalwood fragrance oil make?
312 candles of 200 g at an 8% load (16 g of oil each), needing 57.4 kg of wax alongside. At 6% the same five kilograms makes 416 candles and at 10% it makes 250. Note that 10% is the stated ceiling of CSI 464; only Luxury Soy Chunks at 13% is rated above it, and those are the only two CSI waxes with a published ceiling. Loads are percentages of total candle weight, so 8% of a 200 g candle is 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax.
Should I buy 5 kg at all, or start smaller?
Because the ladder is flat, buying two kilograms now and three later costs exactly the same ₹25,134 — there is no penalty for splitting the order, which is unusual and worth using. Our advice against our own interest: spend ₹392.22 first on 15 g of Sandalwood at ₹93.22 and 50 g of Mint Sandalwood at ₹299, burn both in your own wax, your own jar and your own room, and only then commit. That is 1.6% of a 5 kg order spent settling the one question the price ladder cannot answer. Then buy the quantity you can actually turn — as editorial judgement, 312 candles of one scent is roughly 52 a month over six months.

Editorial standards & sources
About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. Product recommendations reflect the CSI range; the per-gram arithmetic, bill-of-materials method and lever ranking apply to any supplier's price list.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on their product pages, and all six are recorded by Judge.me as verified buyers. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me; wording is unedited. Reena Bagal's five-star review of October 2025 is the only published review on Sandalwood Fragrance Oil. The remaining five are on Woody Oud Fragrance Oil (Payal Patel), Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (Jaya Sawlani), Soy Pillar Wax (Dipali Sable), Eco Candle Wicks (Monika Deep) and the Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (Soumili Gope). Mint Sandalwood has no published review, and none has been written or implied for it. Dipali Sable's review asks for a future bulk discount; CSI publishes none and this page promises none. No review on this page mentions a wholesale rate, a trade account or a 5 kg purchase. No city is attached to any review because Judge.me stores none.

Pack sizes: CSI's fragrance-oil variant ladder is at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg. No 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance-oil pack exists in the catalogue, and none is offered or implied on this page. Every five-kilogram figure here is five times a published 1 kg price, or the stated multiple of a smaller published variant, with the arithmetic shown. CSI publishes no rate card, slab, trade tier, minimum order quantity or credit term, and the cart price does not fall automatically above 1 kg.

Fragrance ceilings are formulation limits stated by the wax manufacturer, not regulatory limits: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks up to 13%, Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 up to 10%. These are the only two CSI waxes with a published ceiling; Eco Soy CSI 400 publishes none. "200 ml" on the Salsa jar is a volume, not a 200 g fill — pour and weigh. CSI publishes no shelf-life figure for fragrance oils; the six-month and three-month turnover windows and the 52-a-month and 104-a-month consumption rates are explicitly editorial judgement, not CSI policy. 92 fragrance oils were live in the Fragrance Oils collection on the pull date.
