Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464
Reviews collected and published through Judge.me on candlemakingsuppliesindia.store. Each review names the product it was actually left on. Four are vanilla-family oils — Cinnamon Vanilla (two), Dark Vanilla Oud and Dark Vanilla Fragrance; the other two are a Citrus Lemon oil and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, both of which are priced on this page. None of them is a Vanilla Bean review — there is no published Vanilla Bean review in the CSI review bank, so none is shown. None of them mentions a wholesale rate, a trade account or a discount. Two longer reviews are shortened with an ellipsis; wording is otherwise unedited, including the original spelling.

CSI stocks seven vanilla fragrance oils. At 1 kg they run from ₹4,554.80 to ₹8,599 — a spread of ₹4,044.20, which is 88.8% of the cheapest oil's own price. There is one published ladder and it is the same for every buyer. Which vanilla you choose therefore moves far more money than any negotiation ever could.

Quick answers — read this first
What is the wholesale price of 1 kg vanilla fragrance oil at CSI? There is no separate wholesale price. CSI publishes one price ladder and every buyer pays it — ₹4,554.80 for 1 kg of Cinnamon Vanilla up to ₹8,599 for 1 kg of Coffee Vanilla Tobacco, with five more in between.

So where is the discount? There isn't one to find, and that is the point. The gap between the cheapest and the dearest vanilla kilogram is ₹4,044.20 — 88.8%. No trade discount in Indian candle supply is worth 88.8%, so the oil you pick is worth more than any rate you could ask for.

Does the kilogram itself save money? Barely, and on one vanilla it does not. Tobacco Vanilla's kilogram saves ₹499 against two 500 g packs. Vanilla Bean's saves ₹34. Dark Vanilla Oud's kilogram is ₹1 dearer than two 500 g packs.

How many candles does 1 kg make? 62 candles of 200 g at an 8% load — 16 g of oil each, with 8 g left over. That is the number to test your requirement against before you buy a kilogram of anything.
The short answer
The seven vanilla kilograms, cheapest first: Cinnamon Vanilla ₹4,554.80 · Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691 · Tobacco Vanilla ₹7,499 · Vanilla Bean ₹7,646 · Dark Vanilla ₹7,646 · Vanilla Orange Blossom ₹8,294 · Coffee Vanilla Tobacco ₹8,599.
There is no trade tier. CSI has published no slab, no rate card, no wholesale price list, no minimum order quantity and no credit terms. A buyer with a large recurring requirement can ask for a quote on WhatsApp. This page does not promise that a better number exists.
What actually cuts cost: switching from Vanilla Bean to Cinnamon Vanilla saves ₹49.46 per 200 g candle at 8% — 40.4% cheaper per gram. Load and vessel move real money too. A discount would have to be enormous to compete with any of them.
Seven vanillas, ₹ per gram at 1 kg — drawn to scale Cinnamon Vanilla₹4.555/g · ₹4,554.80/kg Dark Vanilla Oud₹5.691/g · ₹5,691/kg Tobacco Vanilla₹7.499/g Vanilla Bean₹7.646/g Dark Vanilla₹7.646/g Vanilla Orange Blossom₹8.294/g Coffee Vanilla Tobacco₹8.599/g ₹0₹2/g₹4/g₹6/g₹8/g
All seven bars are one product family at one pack size: 1 kg. The longest bar is 1.888 times the shortest — ₹8.599 a gram against ₹4.555 a gram, a difference of ₹4,044.20 on the kilogram. That is the whole argument of this page: a discount you might win by asking would have to beat 88.8% before it mattered more than deciding which of these seven bars you are buying. CSI live pricing, September 2026.
Straight answer
What is the wholesale price of 1 kg of vanilla fragrance oil in India?
At CSI, the question cannot be answered until you say which vanilla, and there is no second price list hiding behind the first. CSI publishes one ladder — 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g, 1 kg — and it is the same for a first-time buyer and a studio pouring five hundred candles a month. There is no trade tier, no slab table, no wholesale rate card and no published minimum order quantity. What there is, instead, is a genuinely wide catalogue: seven vanilla oils whose kilogram prices run from ₹4,554.80 for Cinnamon Vanilla to ₹8,599 for Coffee Vanilla Tobacco. That is a spread of ₹4,044.20 per kilogram, or 88.8% of the cheapest oil's own price. Read that number next to any trade discount you have ever been offered in this industry. The choice of oil is the bigger lever by a wide margin, and it is a lever you control completely, today, without asking anyone. If you have a large recurring requirement, you are welcome to ask for a quote on WhatsApp — but asking is asking, not a discount waiting to be claimed. Meanwhile, everything on this page that saves you money is already available at the published price.
One line: one price ladder for everyone, seven vanillas from ₹4,554.80 to ₹8,599 per kg — pick the right oil and you beat any discount you were hoping to negotiate.
Before you commit to a kilogram, buy the smallest pack of two or three candidates and burn them. Cinnamon Vanilla is ₹106.20 for 15 g, Dark Vanilla Oud ₹105.02 for 15 g, Vanilla Bean ₹130 for 15 g. All three is ₹341.22, and it settles a decision worth thousands.

The seven vanillas, cheapest first — and why the question has no single answer

"What's your wholesale price for vanilla?" is the wrong question, and it is not because the answer is secret. It is because vanilla is not one product.

CSI stocks seven oils in the vanilla family — a cinnamon-led warm vanilla, an oud-vanilla, a tobacco-vanilla, two straight vanillas, a citrus-floral vanilla and a coffee-tobacco-vanilla. Different materials, so different prices. Here is the whole family, cheapest kilogram first, with every pack size CSI actually lists. Prices are CSI live pricing, September 2026, and the linked product page is always authoritative.

The full published ladder · all seven vanilla oils
Every pack size CSI lists. A dash means that size is not stocked for that oil — not that it is out of stock.
Vanilla oil 15 g 50 g 100 g 500 g 1 kg ₹/g at 1 kg
Cinnamon Vanilla ₹106.20 ₹271.40 ₹483.80 ₹2,301.00 ₹4,554.80 ₹4.555
Dark Vanilla Oud ₹105.02 ₹320.00 ₹590.00 ₹2,845.00 ₹5,691.00 ₹5.691
Tobacco Vanilla — — ₹799.00 ₹3,999.00 ₹7,499.00 ₹7.499
Vanilla Bean ₹130.00 ₹410.00 ₹790.00 ₹3,840.00 ₹7,646.00 ₹7.646
Dark Vanilla ₹130.00 ₹410.00 ₹790.00 ₹3,840.00 ₹7,646.00 ₹7.646
Vanilla Orange Blossom — ₹415.00 ₹829.00 — (no 500 g) ₹8,294.00 ₹8.294
Coffee Vanilla Tobacco — ₹449.00 ₹899.00 ₹4,399.00 ₹8,599.00 ₹8.599

Now do the subtraction that matters. ₹8,599 − ₹4,554.80 = ₹4,044.20. Expressed against the cheaper oil's own price, that is 88.8%. The dearest vanilla kilogram costs 1.888 times the cheapest. Set that beside whatever trade discount you were hoping to be offered when you searched for a wholesale price. A 5% concession on Vanilla Bean would be ₹382.30 on the kilogram; a 10% concession would be ₹764.60. Choosing Cinnamon Vanilla instead of Vanilla Bean saves ₹3,091.20 on the same kilogram — four times what a 10% discount would give you, and it is available right now, at the published price, without a phone call.

Stated plainly, so nobody wastes an afternoon on it. CSI has published no wholesale rate card, no slab table, no trade tier, no quantity-break schedule, no minimum order quantity and no credit terms. The website ladder is the price. If your requirement is large and recurring, you are welcome to message +91 7397976926 and ask for a quote, and that conversation is a normal part of supplying a business. But this page will not tell you a better number is waiting, because CSI has not published one. Everything else on this page is money you can save without permission.
The second finding: two of these oils are the same price at every single size
Vanilla Bean and Dark Vanilla are priced identically at all five pack sizes — ₹130 / ₹410 / ₹790 / ₹3,840 / ₹7,646. If you have been comparing those two looking for the better rate, there is no better rate to find. The decision between them is entirely scent profile, so decide it with a 15 g bottle of each (₹260 for the pair) and a burn test, not with a price list.

Is the kilogram a wholesale tier? On most vanillas, no — and on one it costs you a rupee

This is the part of the page that argues against its own title. A buyer searching for a 1 kg wholesale price generally assumes the kilogram is the wholesale tier: that stepping up from 500 g to 1 kg is where the trade rate begins. On CSI's vanillas, that assumption does not survive contact with the numbers. Here is the kilogram set against two 500 g packs of the same oil — the honest test of whether the bigger bottle is a discount or just a bigger bottle.

1 kg against 2 × 500 g · the five vanillas that can be tested
A positive number means the kilogram is cheaper. A negative number means it is dearer.
Vanilla oil 2 × 500 g 1 kg Kilogram saves As % of 2 × 500 g
Tobacco Vanilla ₹7,998.00 ₹7,499.00 +₹499.00 6.24% — the best in the set
Coffee Vanilla Tobacco ₹8,798.00 ₹8,599.00 +₹199.00 2.26%
Cinnamon Vanilla ₹4,602.00 ₹4,554.80 +₹47.20 1.03%
Vanilla Bean / Dark Vanilla ₹7,680.00 ₹7,646.00 +₹34.00 0.44%
Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,690.00 ₹5,691.00 −₹1.00 (dearer) the kilogram is a ₹1 penalty
Vanilla Orange Blossom no 500 g variant ₹8,294.00 cannot be tested ladder is 50 g / 100 g / 1 kg only

So across the vanilla family the kilogram saves somewhere between −₹1 and +₹499. On Vanilla Bean, the oil most people actually mean when they type "vanilla fragrance oil", the kilogram saves ₹34 — 0.44%, which is not a wholesale tier by any definition. On Dark Vanilla Oud the kilogram is one rupee more expensive than buying two 500 g bottles. That is not a misprint and it is not a trap; it is what happens when a catalogue is priced per product rather than by a quantity-break formula.

So why buy the kilogram at all?
Three reasons, none of them price. One bottle instead of two means one lot, one shipment and one set of paperwork. One batch of oil across a production run removes a variable from your recipe, which matters when you are matching a scent across a 200-candle order. And stock in hand is stock you are not waiting for. "It is the wholesale tier" is not one of them, at these prices.

There is also a ceiling on the ladder itself. CSI's fragrance-oil ladder stops at 1 kg. There is no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance-oil pack anywhere in the catalogue — not for vanilla, not for anything. If you need 5 kg of Vanilla Bean, that is 5 × ₹7,646 = ₹38,230, supplied as five separate 1 kg bottles. Ten kilograms is 10 × ₹7,646 = ₹76,460, as ten bottles. The cart price does not drop automatically above a kilogram, because there is nothing above a kilogram for it to drop to. At that volume, ask for a quote rather than assuming one exists — and read buying fragrance oils in bulk in India alongside it.

What actually cuts the cost of a vanilla candle, ranked by how much money it moves

The fragrance oil is one line on a bill of materials with at least five lines. Most people arguing about the oil price have never written the other four down.

Here is a complete 200 g soy container candle at an 8% fragrance load, built entirely from in-stock CSI items at published prices. One clarification first, because it is the commonest cause of a wrong order: on CSI's pages the fragrance percentage is a share of the finished candle's total weight. A 200 g candle at 8% is therefore 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax, not 200 g of wax plus 16 g of oil. For a batch, 10 kg of wax at that convention takes 0.870 kg of oil; if you instead mean 8% of the wax weight, it is 0.8 kg. Decide which you mean before you order, and write it on the recipe card.

One 200 g vanilla candle · 8% load · all lines at CSI published prices
Vanilla Bean in CSI 464, a matte glass jar, an Eco wick and two stickers
Line Item and price basis Quantity Cost Share of bill
Fragrance Vanilla Bean at ₹7,646 / 1 kg = ₹7.646/g 16 g ₹122.34 41.4%
Wax Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40 / 1 kg = ₹0.5074/g 184 g ₹93.36 31.6%
Vessel Black Matte Glass Jar at ₹708 per pack of 10 1 ₹70.80 23.9%
Wick Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) at ₹590 per 100 1 ₹5.90 2.0%
Wick sticker Candle Wick Stickers at ₹100 per sheet of 40 1 ₹2.50 0.8%
Care sticker Candle Care Stickers Roll at ₹413 per 500 1 ₹0.83 0.3%
Total Materials only — no labour, packaging, shipping or overhead — ₹295.72 100%

The oil is 41.4% of the materials bill — the largest single line, which is why it attracts the attention. But note what a hypothetical 10% discount on the oil would be worth: ₹12.23 on a ₹295.72 candle, or 4.1% of the bill. Now look at what you can do today without asking anyone.

1
Change the oil — ₹49.46 per candle, 16.7% off the whole billSwap Vanilla Bean at ₹7.646/g for Cinnamon Vanilla at ₹4.555/g and the fragrance line falls from ₹122.34 to ₹72.88. That is ₹49.46 saved per candle, the bill drops from ₹295.72 to ₹246.26, and per gram Cinnamon Vanilla is 40.4% cheaper. Across 62 candles — one kilogram's worth — that is ₹3,066.52. It is also the lever a customer cannot see on the shelf. What changes is the scent: Cinnamon Vanilla is a spiced vanilla, not a straight one, so it is a product decision as much as a costing one. Test it before you commit.
2
Change the load — ₹28.55 per candle for every two percentage pointsCSI 464 is formulated to hold fragrance up to 10%, a limit set by the wax maker, not a regulation. Inside that limit, with Vanilla Bean: at 6% the candle is 12 g of oil and 188 g of wax and the bill is ₹267.17; at 8% it is 16 g and 184 g at ₹295.72; at 10% — the ceiling — it is 20 g and 180 g at ₹324.28. Each two-point step is ₹28.55, and the full 6%-to-10% swing is ₹57.11. Note that the saving is smaller than the oil saving alone (₹30.58), because every gram of oil you remove is replaced by a gram of wax you have to pay for. If you are pouring Luxury Soy Wax Chunks instead, its stated ceiling is up to 13% — a different wax, a different number, and 13% does not apply to CSI 464.
3
Change the vessel — ₹41.30 like-for-like, and up to ₹182.90 if you change the productThe jar is 23.9% of this bill and the range CSI publishes is wide. A 200 ml Salsa Glass Jar with golden lid is ₹29.50 each in packs of 50 or 100 (₹1,475 and ₹2,950), against ₹70.80 for the matte glass jar above — ₹41.30 off every candle, which is ₹2,560.60 across 62. Go the other way and an Apothecary Glass Candle Jar with Dome Lid is ₹212.40 — a swing of ₹182.90 against the salsa jar. Before you swap, check the stated capacity against your pour weight. The salsa jar's stated capacity is a volume, 200 ml, and the matte glass jar's fill capacity is not stated in this data, so verify it on the product page rather than assuming a 200 g pour fits.
The CSI principle
You cannot negotiate your way to a cheaper candle. You can specify your way there.
Ranked honestly: the vessel is the widest lever in raw rupees, because the published range runs from ₹29.50 to ₹354.00 for a single container — but it changes what the customer holds, so it is a brand decision first. The oil is the biggest lever that leaves the product recognisable, at ₹49.46. The load is the smallest of the three, at ₹28.55 per two points, and it changes how the candle performs, so it is the one to touch last. Pull all three — Cinnamon Vanilla at 6% in a salsa jar — and the bill falls from ₹295.72 to ₹188.77: a saving of ₹106.95, or 36.2%. No discount conversation in this industry ends at 36.2%.
Working back from Diwali on 8 November 2026, a gourmand candle wants a long cure, so the oil decision needs settling well before the pour. GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation are handled on WhatsApp — as are quotes for large recurring requirements, with no published rate card behind them.

Where vanilla sits in CSI's price range — and who should not buy it

Vanilla is not a mid-priced fragrance family at CSI. It is near the top. The whole catalogue of 92 oils runs from Citrus Lemon at ₹2,832 per kilogram (₹2.832/g) to Club De Nuit Intense inspired at ₹24,056 per kilogram (₹24.056/g). Vanilla occupies the ₹4.555 to ₹8.599 band — and even the cheapest vanilla kilogram is ₹1,722.80 more than the cheapest oil in the catalogue, 1.608 times the price.

Vanilla's band against the catalogue extremes
Fragrance cost only, for one 200 g candle at an 8% load — 16 g of oil. No wax, jar or wick.
Oil 1 kg ₹/g Fragrance in a 200 g candle @ 8%
Citrus Lemon — cheapest oil in the catalogue ₹2,832.00 ₹2.832 ₹45.31
Cinnamon Vanilla — cheapest vanilla ₹4,554.80 ₹4.555 ₹72.88
Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691.00 ₹5.691 ₹91.06
Tobacco Vanilla ₹7,499.00 ₹7.499 ₹119.98
Vanilla Bean / Dark Vanilla ₹7,646.00 ₹7.646 ₹122.34
Vanilla Orange Blossom ₹8,294.00 ₹8.294 ₹132.70
Coffee Vanilla Tobacco — dearest vanilla ₹8,599.00 ₹8.599 ₹137.58
Club De Nuit Intense inspired — dearest in the catalogue ₹24,056.00 ₹24.056 ₹384.90
If your brief is "the cheapest scented candle I can make", you should not be buying vanilla. Vanilla Bean puts ₹122.34 of oil into a 200 g candle; Citrus Lemon puts in ₹45.31. That is ₹77.03 of difference per candle and ₹4,814 on the kilogram, and no amount of asking about wholesale rates closes a gap that large. Buy vanilla because vanilla sells — it is legible on a label, it reads as warm and expensive, and it carries well in soy — and then price the candle to carry the oil. If the retail price cannot carry it, change the oil, not the supplier. Premium versus cheap fragrance oils sets out what you are actually paying for, and how to price candles in India in 2026 works the retail side.

Which brings us to how much to buy. At 200 g and 8%, 1 kg makes 62 candles, 500 g makes 31, 100 g makes 6, and 50 g makes 3 — a 15 g bottle does not quite make one. So the kilogram is only the right tier when a single scent is moving at a real rate. A workable rule: buy the kilogram when that one scent consumes 500 g inside about two months — roughly 15 or more 200 g candles a month — because at that rate the kilogram is about four months of stock rather than a year of it. And the threshold is higher for a dear oil than a cheap one: a Vanilla Bean kilogram is ₹7,646 of cash sitting on a shelf, about ₹1,911 a month across those four months, against ₹4,554.80 and about ₹1,139 a month for Cinnamon Vanilla. Same 62 candles, two-thirds more working capital tied up. If you are still sizing a first order, how much fragrance oil a candle business needs does the volume arithmetic in full.

The one thing a kilogram buyer must plan for: vanillin darkens wax

This is the technical point that matters more to a kilogram buyer than to a 100 g buyer, and it is rarely mentioned on a wholesale-price page. Fragrance oils containing vanillin are known to darken wax over time. It is formulation chemistry — vanillin is a phenolic aldehyde and it discolours on exposure to air, light and heat — and it is not a defect, not contamination, and not a sign that the oil was wrongly stored. It bites harder at a kilogram for a simple reason: a kilogram is stock you hold for longer. Sixty-two candles' worth of oil is poured across weeks or months, so the candles you pour first will have been sitting longer than the ones you pour last by the time a customer sees them side by side.

What to actually do about it
One: pour a test candle from every bottle you open, before the production run, and keep it. Two: write the pour date on that test candle in marker and keep it as a dated reference alongside the batch, so you can see for yourself how a shade moves rather than guessing. Three: decide dyed or undyed early, because it is the decision that makes the question moot. An undyed cream candle shows a shift; a candle deliberately dyed a warm amber or brown with a liquid candle dye from ₹236 per 15 ml does not read as having changed at all. Four: store the oil closed, cool and out of sunlight, and keep your own written record — a weighing scale at ₹354 and a dated notebook are the whole quality system.

And here is the part that most pages skip. CSI publishes no discolouration test, no shade chart, no timescale and no shelf-life figure for these oils, and this page invents none. Anyone quoting you "turns cream in 30 days" or "stable for 24 months" for a CSI vanilla is telling you something CSI has not published. What CSI does supply, on request, is MSDS and IFRA documentation for the oil you are buying, which is the paperwork that actually tells you what is in the bottle. Ask for it on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926, and test the rest yourself in your own wax, in your own jars, in your own conditions. That is the only discolouration data that will ever apply to your product.

A supplier who will not publish a number is being honest. A supplier who invents one is not.

What to ask a supplier instead of "what's your wholesale price"

If you are buying a kilogram at a time, the price is the easiest thing to find out and the least likely to hurt you. These five questions decide whether the oil costs you money after the invoice — and each of them is a cost question, not a paperwork question.

Five questions that change your cost per candle
Ask these before you ask about the rate
Ask this Why it is a cost question
Will this bottle smell like the last one? Batch consistency, and whether the oil is reformulated between batches. A shifted scent means re-testing the wick, re-curing, and in the worst case a customer who says your candle changed. That is scrapped stock and lost reorders, and either one costs more than the ₹499 the kilogram saves you on Tobacco Vanilla.
Can I have the IFRA and MSDS documentation? CSI supplies both on request. IFRA usage guidance tells you the maximum this material is documented for in your application; MSDS governs storage, handling and transport. Without them you are guessing at your own compliance, and guessing gets expensive once you sell through a retailer or export.
Do I get a GST invoice? CSI invoices with GST. A GST invoice is input credit. Buying the same kilogram without one makes the oil genuinely more expensive to a registered business, which is a bigger difference than most discounts being dangled at you.
Will this exact oil still be listed in three months? A scent you build a product line around and then cannot buy again is the most expensive thing on this list. You lose the SKU, the photography, the listing and the repeat customer.
What pack sizes exist, and where does the ladder stop? It decides how you buy. CSI's ladder is at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg and stops there — so a 5 kg requirement is five bottles at 5 × the 1 kg price, and you should plan storage and cash flow around that rather than around a drum that does not exist.

Notice what is missing from that list: the discount. Not because asking is rude, but because on a published single-ladder catalogue the answer is already on the product page, and the five questions above are where the money actually is. The complete fragrance-oil wholesale buyer's guide and how premium brands buy fragrance wholesale cover the ground this page does not.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA sells the oil this page tells you to buy less of. The commercially convenient version of a wholesale-price page hints at a trade rate, collects an enquiry and sorts it out later. We have instead told you that there is one ladder, that it is the same for everyone, that the kilogram saves ₹34 on Vanilla Bean and costs ₹1 extra on Dark Vanilla Oud, and that if your brief is a cheap scented candle you should be buying Citrus Lemon rather than any vanilla we stock.

Every price on this page is a live CSI variant price at September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing and specification always take precedence. Fragrance ceilings quoted — up to 10% for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 and up to 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks — are formulation limits stated by the wax maker, not regulatory limits, and they are not interchangeable between waxes. CSI stocks 92 fragrance oils, seven of them in the vanilla family. No slab, rate card, trade tier, minimum order quantity, credit term, discolouration test, shade chart or shelf-life figure has been published by CSI, and none has been invented here.

Frequently asked questions

What is the wholesale price of 1 kg of vanilla fragrance oil in India?
At CSI there is no separate wholesale price — one published ladder applies to every buyer. Across the seven vanilla oils, 1 kg costs ₹4,554.80 (Cinnamon Vanilla), ₹5,691 (Dark Vanilla Oud), ₹7,499 (Tobacco Vanilla), ₹7,646 (Vanilla Bean and Dark Vanilla), ₹8,294 (Vanilla Orange Blossom) and ₹8,599 (Coffee Vanilla Tobacco). The ₹4,044.20 spread between cheapest and dearest is 88.8% of the cheapest oil's price, which is why naming the oil matters more than naming a quantity.
Does CSI offer a trade account, bulk discount or wholesale rate card?
CSI has published no rate card, no slab table, no trade tier, no quantity-break schedule, no minimum order quantity and no credit terms. The website ladder is the price, for a first order and a repeat order alike. If your requirement is large and recurring you are welcome to ask for a quote on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926, and CSI will answer you directly — but nothing on this page should be read as a promise that a lower number exists. What is certain is that choosing a different vanilla can cut your fragrance cost by 40.4% per gram today.
Is 1 kg cheaper than buying two 500 g bottles?
Only slightly, and not always. Tobacco Vanilla's kilogram saves ₹499 against two 500 g packs (₹7,499 against ₹7,998), the best in the family at 6.24%. Coffee Vanilla Tobacco saves ₹199, Cinnamon Vanilla ₹47.20, and Vanilla Bean just ₹34 — 0.44%. Dark Vanilla Oud's kilogram is ₹1 dearer than two 500 g bottles (₹5,691 against ₹5,690). Vanilla Orange Blossom has no 500 g variant at all, so it cannot be tested this way. Buy the kilogram for one bottle, one batch and one shipment — not for a discount that mostly is not there.
How many candles will 1 kg of vanilla fragrance oil make?
62 candles of 200 g at an 8% fragrance load — 16 g of oil each, leaving 8 g over. On the same basis 500 g makes 31 candles, 100 g makes 6 and 50 g makes 3. CSI treats the fragrance percentage as a share of total candle weight, so a 200 g candle at 8% is 16 g of oil plus 184 g of wax. If you work in batches: 10 kg of wax at 8% of total weight takes 0.870 kg of oil, while 8% of the wax would be 0.8 kg. State which convention you are using before you order.
Can I buy 5 kg or 10 kg of vanilla fragrance oil?
Not as a single pack. CSI's fragrance-oil ladder stops at 1 kg — there is no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance-oil pack in the catalogue. Five kilograms of Vanilla Bean is 5 × ₹7,646 = ₹38,230, supplied as five 1 kg bottles; ten kilograms is 10 × ₹7,646 = ₹76,460, as ten bottles. The price does not fall automatically above a kilogram. At that volume, ask for a quote rather than assuming a tier exists.
Will a vanilla fragrance oil turn my candles yellow or brown?
Fragrances containing vanillin are known to darken wax over time. That is formulation chemistry, not a fault in the oil or the wax, and it applies to vanilla and gourmand oils generally. It matters more if you are buying a kilogram, because you will be holding and pouring that oil over a longer period. Handle it by pouring a dated test candle from each bottle you open, keeping it as a reference, and deciding early whether the range is dyed or undyed — a warm amber or brown liquid dye from ₹236 per 15 ml makes the question largely irrelevant. CSI publishes no discolouration test, shade chart, timescale or shelf-life figure, and this page does not invent one. MSDS and IFRA documentation is available on request.

About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. Product recommendations reflect the CSI range; the per-gram arithmetic, the bill-of-materials method and the kilogram-versus-500 g test apply to any supplier.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left on CSI product pages. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me; "Verified buyer" appears only where Judge.me recorded the review as verified. Four are vanilla-family oils — Cinnamon Vanilla (Sneha Tamang, Punam Sarma), Dark Vanilla Oud (Suman Bisht) and Dark Vanilla Fragrance (Anonymous) — and two are oils and waxes priced on this page: Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil (Avanthi Cheeli) and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (Jaya Sawlani). None is a Vanilla Bean review; the CSI review bank contains none, and none has been fabricated to fill the gap. None of the six mentions a wholesale rate, a trade account or a discount. Two longer reviews are shortened with an ellipsis and are otherwise unedited, original spelling included.
