Who is the best candle wax supplier for commercial candle production in India?
The best supplier is the one that scores highest on the wax you will reorder, so score before you choose. Rate each supplier 0–5 on wax range, published specifications, pack ladder, bulk channel, documentation and one-stop consumables, and weight the ones your line depends on. On that sheet CSI scores 20 out of 30. It is strongest on breadth: 14 waxes available across soy, coconut-soy, pillar, paraffin, beeswax and gel, with wicks from ₹5.90, jars, moulds, fragrance oils and an electric wax melter up to 20 kg capacity on the same order. It is weaker on published numbers: only Luxury Soy Wax Chunks (up to 13%), CSI 464 (up to 10%) and CSI 468 (up to 13%) state both a load and temperatures. Six waxes are listed at 10 kg, Natural Soy Pearl Wax at 50 kg for ₹21,240, but nothing at 25 kg or 100 kg, and paraffin stops at 1 kg. Why "best supplier" needs a scoresheet, not a list
A ranking tells you who wrote it. A scoresheet tells you what to check — and works on the supplier who wrote it too.
Commercial production changes what "good" means in a wax supplier. A hobbyist wants a nice kilo. A production buyer wants the same wax, described by the same numbers, in pack sizes that match the melter, restocked without surprises, with the paperwork a retailer or marketplace will ask for. None of that shows up in a "top suppliers" list. It shows up on product pages, in pack variants and in how a quote request is answered.
The sheet below turns those into six criteria, each scored 0–5 against anchors you can verify. Score only the waxes you will buy; a supplier with forty waxes you don't use is not better than one with the three you do.

The mistake: scoring the catalogue instead of your line. A supplier with a strong soy container range and weak pillar data will look like a 4 to a jar maker and a 2 to a pillar maker. Both are right. Before you score, write down the two or three waxes you will reorder every month and score criteria 2 and 3 on those waxes alone. A generic score is the same trap as a generic ranking.

One thing the sheet deliberately does not score is logistics — delivery charges and delivery time depend on your pincode and order, and we don't publish figures for either. Published CSI reviews are mixed on this: some customers praise secure packing and on-time delivery, and others ask for lower delivery charges or quicker timelines. Ask for a pincode-specific answer in your quote request and score it yourself.
Weight the sheet for your line
A container soy line lives or dies on criteria 2 and 3, so double them: CSI then scores 26 out of 40 (65%) — specifications 3 × 2, pack ladder 3 × 2, plus 4 + 3 + 3 + 4. A pillar line scored on Soy Pillar Wax, whose page states no load or temperatures, would fairly drop specifications to 2 and land on 24 out of 40 (60%). A wax without published numbers is not a bad wax. It is a wax you will have to characterise yourself before your first production batch.
For commercial production, specifications are not decoration. A stated fragrance load sets your recipe ceiling; a stated pour temperature sets your process; both let a second person on your team repeat the first person's candle. The table shows exactly what each available CSI wax publishes.

Two conclusions for a production buyer. First, if your line is container candles, the three fully specified waxes cover volume (CSI 464), fragrance headroom (Luxury Soy Chunks) and premium coconut-soy (CSI 468), so for your line criterion 2 is closer to a 4. Second, if your line depends on Soy Pillar Wax, Natural Soy Pearl or beeswax, build a qualification step into your plan: one kilo, a controlled test, and your own recipe card before any 10 kg order.
The mistake: treating a spec inconsistency as a reason to guess. Luxury Soy Chunks give a pour of 70–80°C in the method and 75–80°C in the specification table; CSI 464 states the same 80–90°C for melting point and pour temperature. Neither is a reason to ignore the page. Pour Chunks inside the overlap (75–80°C), run CSI 464 at the page's range while respecting any vessel's hot-pour limit, and record the temperature you actually used on the batch card. If a number matters to a production decision, ask on WhatsApp and file the answer with your recipe.
Criterion 3 up close: the pack ladder
A good pack ladder lets you test on the same wax you will produce with, step up without re-qualifying, and buy production volume in bags your melter can use. The table counts the rungs on each CSI wax and shows whether the price per kilo moves.

The ladder's strength is that the trial kilo is the production wax: on most rungs the price per kilo is flat, so your 1 kg test candle costs almost exactly what a 10 kg production candle does, and nothing has to be re-qualified when you step up. Its weakness is the top: above 10 kg you are combining bags — 25 kg of CSI 464 is 2 × 10 kg + 1 × 5 kg at ₹12,685, 100 kg is 10 × 10 kg at ₹50,740 — and treating those listed per-kilo prices as the ceiling while you ask for a quote.

Fourteen waxes are useful to know about. Three waxes with published numbers and a clean pack ladder are what a production schedule actually runs on — and the right supplier for you is the one that does those three well.

The picture is a supplier that covers the full consumables side of a manual or semi-manual production line — wax to wick to jar to melter — in production pack sizes up to 1,000 wicks and 100 jars, with gaps at the automation end and at very large single packs. The mistake: letting the cheapest per-kilo price decide criterion 3. Per-kilo price is an input, not a criterion. A wax at ₹424.80/kg with no stated load and a wax at ₹507.40/kg with a stated 10% ceiling are ₹15.20 apart in a 200 g candle — and the cheaper one needs a qualification run the dearer one doesn't. Put the price in your per-candle maths, and keep the scoresheet for the things that decide whether a production batch works first time.

Who is the best candle wax supplier in India for commercial production?
The one that scores best on the wax you will reorder. Score suppliers 0–5 on wax range, published specifications, pack ladder, bulk channel, documentation and one-stop consumables, weighting what your line depends on. On that sheet CSI scores 20 out of 30: strong on range and consumables, with full published specs on three container waxes, packs to 10 kg (50 kg on Natural Soy Pearl), and quotes and documents on WhatsApp rather than published.
What specifications should a candle wax supplier publish?
At minimum, a maximum fragrance load and the temperatures to work to — melt or add, and pour. At CSI, Luxury Soy Wax Chunks (8–13%, add 80–90°C, pour 70–80°C), CSI 464 (up to 10%, melt and pour 80–90°C) and CSI 468 (up to 13%, melt 50–53°C, pour 58–60°C) state both. Eight of the 14 available waxes state no numeric load or temperature, so qualify those on a kilo first.
Can I buy 25 kg, 50 kg or 100 kg of candle wax from CSI?
Natural Soy Pearl Wax is listed at 50 kg for ₹21,240. No wax is listed at 25 kg or 100 kg, so larger orders combine listed packs — 25 kg of CSI 464 is ₹12,685 and 100 kg is ₹50,740 as 10 kg packs — and those listed per-kilo prices are the ceiling. Paraffin, gel and two coconut waxes stop at 1 kg. Recurring and larger volumes are quoted on WhatsApp.
Does CSI offer bulk discounts on wax?
Listed prices show what is published: on most waxes the price per kilo is flat from 1 kg to 10 kg (Luxury Soy Chunks ₹599, CSI 464 ₹507.40, Soy Pillar Wax ₹600). Two step down at 5 kg — CSI 468 from ₹650 to ₹637 and Natural Soy Pearl from ₹450 to ₹424.80. Recurring and larger volumes are quoted individually on WhatsApp; no discount is promised in advance.
What documents should I ask a wax and fragrance supplier for?
For production, ask for a GST invoice for every order, the stated specifications for each wax you use, and MSDS and IFRA documentation for your fragrance oils if a retailer or marketplace requires them. At CSI, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation are handled on request via WhatsApp rather than downloaded from product pages, so name the exact products in your request.
Can one supplier cover everything for candle production?
For consumables, largely yes. CSI lists waxes, wicks in packs up to 1,000, jars in packs up to 100, moulds, dyes, fragrance oils from 15 g to 1 kg and electric wax melters of 10 kg and 20 kg capacity. It does not list candle-making machines, a UV inhibitor or a wick described as pre-tabbed, and fragrance oils stop at 1 kg. Plan a second source for those items, or quote larger fragrance volumes on WhatsApp.
