Candle Business Guides · Fragrance Oil × Quantity
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA is a supplier of candle fragrance oils, not a manufacturer of them — and for most candle businesses, that is the kind of source they are actually looking for. This guide explains what separates the two, what a candle business needs from either, and gives you a checklist to judge any bulk fragrance source, with CSI scored against it, gaps included.

Quick answers — read this first
Is CSI a fragrance oil manufacturer? No. CSI is a raw-material supplier for candle makers. It stocks and sells candle fragrance oils — 106 listings, 87 in stock at 1 kg — alongside wax, wicks and jars. It does not compound fragrance oils or manufacture wax.

What is the difference? A fragrance manufacturer (a fragrance house) creates and compounds oils and can develop custom scents. A supplier selects, stocks and sells oils in pack sizes candle makers can use, and should pass on the documentation for each oil.

Which does a candle business need? Usually a supplier: sample sizes, a range across families, published prices, packs up to production quantities and one place for other materials. A manufacturer makes sense for an exclusive or custom scent, on terms set by that house.

How much can I buy in bulk from CSI? 1 kg is the largest listed fragrance pack. Several kilos at the listed price set the ceiling; recurring and larger orders are quoted on WhatsApp with GST invoicing and MSDS/IFRA documentation on request.
The short answer
Ask what the seller makes: "manufacturer" is used loosely. A straight answer to "do you compound this oil yourself?" tells you more than any label.
Judge the source, not the title: consistency between deliveries, documents per oil, a pack ladder from sample to production, published prices and a clear bulk channel matter more than who mixed the oil.
Prove it on the second delivery: keep a sample of the first kilo and compare the reorder against it before production.

The middle box is the one most candle makers deal with, whatever the seller calls itself. What matters is not the label on the box but whether it delivers what the right-hand box needs: sample sizes, production packs, the same oil each time and the paperwork to go with it.
Straight answer
Is CSI a bulk candle fragrance oil manufacturer, and should I be buying from a manufacturer or a supplier?
CSI is not a manufacturer. It is a raw-material supplier to candle makers: it stocks and sells candle fragrance oils106 listings, 87 in stock at 1 kg in September 2026 — alongside wax, wicks and jars, but it does not compound the oils. A fragrance manufacturer creates and compounds oils, can develop a custom scent, and originates the MSDS and IFRA documentation; its commercial terms are set by each house. A supplier chooses a range, holds stock and sells it in sizes candle makers can use. For most candle businesses the second is often what the search for a "manufacturer" is really after: sample sizes to test (most classic oils list 15 g and 50 g), production packs (up to 1 kg), published prices you can cost against — Jasmine is ₹3,923 a kilo, Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691 — documents per oil and a bulk channel. At CSI, anything above the listed 1 kg pack, recurring orders, GST invoicing and MSDS/IFRA documentation are handled on WhatsApp. Go to a fragrance house when you need an exclusive scent. Whichever you use, judge it on the checklist below — and on whether your second delivery matches your first.
One line: CSI supplies candle fragrance oils rather than manufacturing them; most candle businesses need a supplier's sample-to-kilo ladder, published prices and documents, and a fragrance house only for a custom scent.
Evaluating a source? Start with 15 g or 50 g samplesJasmine 50 g ₹230, Orchard Pear 50 g ₹240, Cinnamon Vanilla 50 g ₹271.40, Dark Vanilla Oud 50 g ₹320 — then scale the oils that pass to 1 kg.

Manufacturer vs supplier: what each actually does

"Manufacturer" is the most over-used word in fragrance search results. It is worth knowing what it should mean.

A fragrance manufacturer — often called a fragrance house — creates fragrance oils. Its perfumers design the accord, its production team compounds the ingredients to that formula, and it is the origin of the technical paperwork: the MSDS that sets out handling and hazard information, and the IFRA documentation that relates the oil to usage guidance by product type. Some houses build large catalogues; many also develop scents to a brand's brief. Their minimum quantities, lead times and terms are set by each house, and they vary; don't assume a figure you haven't been quoted.

A supplier — a distributor or specialist retailer — sits between the house and the candle maker. It chooses which oils to carry, holds them in stock, sells them in pack sizes a candle business can use, and should pass on the documentation for each oil it sells. A specialist candle supplier adds something a fragrance house usually doesn't: the rest of the candle, from wax to wicks to jars, and guidance written for candle making rather than for perfumery.

Two kinds of fragrance source · general roles, with CSI's position where it applies
What a fragrance manufacturer and a candle-materials supplier each do
Question Fragrance manufacturer (fragrance house) Supplier to candle makers CSI
Makes the oil? Yes — designs and compounds it No — selects and stocks it No. Supplier.
Custom or exclusive scent? Its core capability, on its own terms Rarely; sells an existing range Not listed
Pack sizes Set by the house — ask Sample to production sizes 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg listed (not every oil has all five)
Prices Often quoted per enquiry Often published Published for every listed size
MSDS and IFRA documentation Originates it Should supply it for each oil sold On request via WhatsApp
Wax, wicks, jars Not usually Often Yes — 15 waxes in the wax collection, plus wicks and containers
Candle-specific guidance General application data Varies Stated loads and temperatures on wax pages; candle-making guides
The mistake: taking "manufacturer" at face value. In marketplace listings and search results the word is often used for any business that sells in bulk, repacks, or simply wants to sound larger. That is not always dishonest — but it tells you nothing useful. Ask a direct question instead: "Do you compound this oil yourself, or buy it in?" A source worth your production volume will answer plainly either way. What you actually need to know — whether the next delivery matches the last one, and whether the documents exist — does not depend on the answer.

Where CSI sits, stated plainly

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA is a candle-making raw-material supplier. It does not manufacture fragrance oils, and it does not manufacture wax. It does not sell finished candles. What it does is stock a range of candle fragrance oils and the materials that go around them, publish the price of every pack size, and handle bulk enquiries, GST invoicing and fragrance documentation directly. Here is the range as it stood in live stock in September 2026.

CSI fragrance range in numbers · live CSI stock, September 2026
What a buyer can verify today
Measure Figure What it tells a bulk buyer
Fragrance oil listings 106 Breadth across fresh, floral, fruity, gourmand, woody, oud and perfume-inspired families
Listings with at least one size in stock 96 10 listings are fully sold out at the moment
Oils in stock at 1 kg 87 The production pack; 18 oils currently show the 1 kg as sold out
1 kg price range ₹2,832 to ₹24,056 · median ₹6,499 Every kilo price is published; costing does not start with a quote
Listings with all five sizes (15 g–1 kg) 55 A sample-to-production ladder on the same oil
Largest listed fragrance pack 1 kg Above that, quotes on WhatsApp — not a listed rate
Published customer reviews on fragrance listings 33, across 19 listings (32 at 4★ or 5★) Real feedback exists, but most oils have none yet

Those numbers describe a supplier's offer, and they come with gaps a bulk buyer should see before relying on them. No pack larger than 1 kg is listed, so a business using many kilos a month needs a quote. Custom fragrance development is not listed. Some 1 kg packs are sold out at any given time. And the listings themselves need reading carefully: there are two separate Pomegranate Splash listings at different prices, one title still carries a past shipping date, and on Saffron Cedarwood and Sage and Cedarwood the 500 g pack lists cheaper per gram than the kilo. None of those is a reason to avoid a source; all of them are reasons to order by exact product link and confirm anything unusual on WhatsApp.

What a supplier can and can't promise
A supplier that doesn't make the oil can't tell you its formula, and shouldn't pretend to. What it can do is supply the MSDS and IFRA documentation for the oil, tell you whether the 1 kg pack is in stock, publish the price, and quote volume. At CSI all of those run through WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. Anything a seller claims beyond its documents — a certification, a lab result, a promised throw — deserves a request for the paper behind it.

What a candle business needs from either

Nobody lights a candle and asks who compounded the oil. They ask why it smells different from the last one.

Whether your source makes the oil or supplies it, a candle business has the same six needs. The table sets out each one, why it matters in production, and how to check it before you commit volume — questions you can put to any source, CSI included.

Six needs · the same for a manufacturer or a supplier
What to require from any bulk fragrance source, and how to verify it
Need Why it matters in production How to verify before committing
Consistency between deliveries Your tested recipe is the product; a different oil is a different candle Retain a sample from delivery one; compare delivery two against it and pour a test candle
Documentation per oil Retailers, hotels and corporate buyers ask for it Request the MSDS and IFRA documentation for your shortlisted oils before the first kilo
A pack ladder Test small, produce at scale, keep slow scents in small packs Check the oil is sold in a sample size and a production size, and compare per-gram prices
Range across families One source for a whole collection simplifies reorders and records Map your planned line to in-stock oils, including the 1 kg pack
Transparent pricing You can cost a candle before you ask anyone Published prices per size; quotes for volume measured against them
A bulk channel that answers Recurring orders, invoices and stock questions need a person Send a complete enquiry and judge the reply's clarity and completeness

Notice what is not on the list: the word "manufacturer". A fragrance house that is slow to send documents, sells only large drums and changes an oil without telling you fails a candle business on three counts. A supplier that publishes prices, sells samples and kilos of the same oil, and sends the paperwork on request passes on the same three. For a broader supplier framework that covers wax, wicks and jars as well, see what to look for in one reliable supplier from startup to scale.

Which route fits your stage

The right source changes with what you are doing, not with how serious your business feels. This is a decision guide by stage; the quantities on the supplier side are CSI's listed pack sizes, and nothing on the manufacturer side is a stated figure, because those terms belong to each house.

Decision guide by stage
When a supplier fits, when a fragrance house fits, and what to buy
Stage What you need Better fit At CSI
Shortlisting scents Many oils, small amounts, low cost per trial Supplier 15 g on 50 in-stock oils; 50 g on 79
Recipe testing Enough oil for wick and cure tests in your wax Supplier 50 g or 100 g — a 100 g bottle fills six 200 g candles at 8%
Launch and first production Production packs, published cost, documents Supplier 500 g and 1 kg; MSDS/IFRA on request
Steady monthly production Several kilos of core scents, recurring orders Supplier with a bulk channel, or a house if volume and terms suit Several 1 kg packs at listed prices, or a WhatsApp quote
A scent nobody else sells Custom development and exclusivity Fragrance house Not listed
The trap: going "direct to the manufacturer" to save money before the line is proven. The logic sounds right — cut out the middle and pay less. But a candle business that has not yet proven which scents sell needs the things a supplier's range gives it: small packs, many oils and fast changes of mind. Price per kilo is only one line of the cost; the others are unused stock of scents that didn't sell, the time spent on tests, and documents for oils you drop. Compare sources per candle poured and sold, not per kilo bought. The per-kilo arithmetic for CSI's range is in candle fragrance oil 1 kg price in India.

The checklist, with CSI scored

Twelve questions to put to any bulk candle fragrance source. The last two columns score CSI against each one from its live listings in September 2026 — including where the honest answer is "partly", "ask" or "not listed". Use the same columns for any other source you are considering.

Bulk fragrance source checklist · CSI evidence from live listings, September 2026
Twelve questions, what good looks like, and how CSI measures up
# Question What good looks like CSI evidence Score
1 Is it clear what the business is? States whether it makes or supplies Raw-material supplier; does not make fragrance oils or wax Meets
2 Are prices published per size? Every size priced before you ask Prices on every listing; 1 kg from ₹2,832 Meets
3 Is there a sample-to-production ladder? Small and large packs of the same oil 55 listings in 15 g to 1 kg; others in 50 g–1 kg or 100 g–1 kg Meets
4 Can it supply above production packs? A listed bulk size or a clear quote route Largest listed pack 1 kg; above that, WhatsApp quote Partly — ask
5 Is stock continuous on core oils? Production pack reliably in stock 87 of 106 in stock at 1 kg; 18 kilos sold out currently Partly — check your oils
6 Are documents available per oil? MSDS and IFRA documentation on request On request via WhatsApp Ask per oil
7 Is there candle-specific guidance? Stated loads and temperatures for the wax Chunks 8–13% (10% recommended), CSI 468 up to 13%, CSI 464 up to 10%; some waxes state none Partly
8 Is there evidence from real buyers? Published, attributable reviews 33 Judge.me reviews on 19 fragrance listings, 32 at 4★ or 5★ Partly — most oils unreviewed
9 Are listings clean and unambiguous? One listing per oil, consistent pricing Duplicate Pomegranate Splash listings; one stale shipping date in a title; a 500 g vs 1 kg price anomaly on two oils Partly — order by link
10 Is custom development available? Brief-to-scent service, if you need one Not listed Not listed
11 Does it invoice properly? GST invoice for business purchases GST invoicing handled on WhatsApp Meets
12 Are delivery cost and timing clear for you? A delivered price for your pincode Not stated here; one reviewer says delivery was on time, another that delivery charges are high Ask for your pincode

That is not a perfect score, and it isn't meant to be. It is a published price list, a real pack ladder, a range of 87 oils at production size and a documented bulk channel, with the gaps named: no listed pack above 1 kg, no listed custom development, some kilos out of stock, a few listings to read carefully, and delivery terms you should confirm for your location. Score any other source on the same twelve lines before deciding. Where professional brands tend to look for fragrance, and the red flags to watch, is covered in where professional candle brands buy fragrance oils in India.

Trialling a bulk fragrance source before you commit

A checklist tells you what a source says. A trial tells you what it does. This sequence costs a few hundred rupees per oil at the start and answers the one question no listing can: whether the oil you reorder is the oil you tested.

1
Shortlist on small sizesBuy 15 g or 50 g of each candidate — Jasmine's 50 g is ₹230 — and narrow the list by smell before anything touches wax.
2
Test in your own wax, at your own loadPour the survivors at 50 g or 100 g in the wax and vessel you will sell, within the wax's stated load, and cure before burning. Use a controlled burn test to compare.
3
Request the documents before the first kiloAsk for the MSDS and IFRA documentation for each oil that passed. How quickly and completely a source answers is itself part of the evaluation.
4
Buy the first production pack and retain a sampleOrder by exact product link. Before pouring, set aside a small sealed sample labelled with the invoice date and store it cool and dark.
5
Judge the second delivery against the firstWhen you reorder, smell the new oil beside the retained sample and pour one test candle before full production. This is the consistency test that matters.
6
Only then ask for volume termsWith proven oils and two good deliveries, send oils, monthly kilos, frequency, GST number and pincode for a recurring quote, and compare it against the listed 1 kg prices.
The CSI principle
Judge a fragrance source by its second delivery, not its first sample.
Anyone can send a good 15 g bottle. The source worth your production volume is the one whose reorder smells like your retained sample, arrives with its paperwork, and tells you plainly what it makes and what it doesn't.

Four oils with repeat-buyer evidence

If a supplier's value is in consistency and reorders, the most relevant reviews are the ones that talk about buying again or selling on. These four oils carry exactly that kind of feedback. Each card lists every pack size, the price per kilo at that size, and how many 200 g candles at 8% the pack fills.

1
Gourmand-woody · "I ll definitely shop again"
Dark Vanilla Oud
A reviewer writes of being "obsessed with the vanilla fragrance" and says "I ll definitely shop again" — the repeat intent a supplier relationship is built on. At ₹5,691 a kilo the per-gram price falls from ₹7.00 at 15 g to ₹5.69 at 500 g and 1 kg, so the kilo and the 500 g pack cost the same per gram. Vanilla notes can discolour pale wax; test a white candle through cure.

50 gm ₹320 ₹6,400 ≈3

2
Spiced gourmand · "Will buy more"
Cinnamon Vanilla
Two reviews, one a four-star "Will buy more.. wonderful" and one calling the fragrance "sooo good". Its ladder keeps paying all the way up — ₹5.43 a gram at 50 g, ₹4.84 at 100 g, ₹4.60 at 500 g and ₹4.55 at 1 kg — which makes it a reasonable candidate for a festive production kilo once tested. CSI has a dedicated guide to cinnamon vanilla fragrance oil for candle making.

3
Fruity · evidence from a seller's customer
Orchard Pear
The reviewer used it in a champagne candle and "received a very positive review from my customer" — feedback that reaches past the maker to the end buyer. At ₹3,738 a kilo it is one of the lower-cost kilos in the range, and its per-gram price is effectively flat from 100 g (₹3.80) to 1 kg (₹3.74), so slow months can run on 100 g or 500 g packs.
Size Price Per kg 200g candles @ 8%

4
Indian floral · "A must buy item"
Jasmine Fragrance Oil
A four-star review calls it "so nice" and "A must buy item!!". Jasmine is a staple of Indian festive and wedding lines, and at ₹3,923 a kilo it is the lowest-priced jasmine in the range. The per-gram price falls from ₹6.87 at 15 g to ₹3.92 at 500 g and 1 kg. For jasmine and mogra choices, see jasmine and mogra fragrance oils for candles.

On bulk volume, the arithmetic is the same whatever the source calls itself. At CSI, several kilos at listed prices set the ceiling — four kilos of Jasmine is 4 × ₹3,923 = ₹15,692 — and anything larger or recurring is a quote this guide will not guess. How to write that request and judge the reply per candle is in candle fragrance oil 5 kg wholesale price; planning monthly kilos and a scent library is in wholesale fragrance oil for candle manufacturers.

A manufacturer makes the oil. A supplier makes it available in the size you can use. A candle business needs to know which one it is talking to — and needs the same oil either way.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials; it does not manufacture fragrance oils or wax, and it does not sell finished candles. This page ranks for a search containing the word "manufacturer", and the easy move would be to blur that line. We have done the opposite: said plainly what we are, scored ourselves on a checklist that includes the gaps, and told you when a fragrance house would suit you better.

Every figure about CSI's range — listings, stock at 1 kg, pack ladders, prices and review counts — comes from live CSI stock in September 2026, and every product links to its page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Descriptions of what fragrance manufacturers do are general and carry no figures, because their terms are set by each house. Wax loads are quoted as their product pages state them and are formulation limits, not regulatory limits.

Frequently asked questions

Is CandleMakingSuppliesIndia a candle fragrance oil manufacturer?
No. CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA is a raw-material supplier for candle makers. It stocks and sells candle fragrance oils — 106 listings, 87 in stock at 1 kg in September 2026 — together with wax, wicks and jars, but it does not compound fragrance oils or manufacture wax. It supplies MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, and handles bulk quotes and GST invoicing on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.
Should a candle business buy fragrance oil from a manufacturer or a supplier?
Most candle businesses are best served by a supplier while they test, launch and grow: small sample sizes, a range across families, published prices, production packs and documents per oil. A fragrance manufacturer fits when you need a custom or exclusive scent, on terms each house sets. Whichever you choose, compare sources per candle poured and sold, and check the second delivery against the first.
What is the largest pack of candle fragrance oil CSI sells?
1 kg is the largest listed fragrance pack, and 87 candle fragrance oils are in stock at that size, from ₹2,832 to ₹24,056 a kilo. You can order several 1 kg packs at the listed price — four kilos of Jasmine is ₹15,692 — and that total is the ceiling. Larger and recurring volumes are quoted on WhatsApp with your oils, kilos, frequency, GST number and pincode.
What documents should a bulk fragrance oil supplier provide?
At minimum, the MSDS (material safety data sheet) for handling and hazard information, and IFRA documentation relating the oil to usage guidance by product type, for every oil you buy. A supplier that doesn't make the oil should still be able to pass these on. At CSI they are available on request via WhatsApp. Treat any certification or performance claim without a document behind it as a prompt to ask for the paper.
Can CSI create a custom fragrance oil for my candle brand?
Custom fragrance development is not listed in CSI's catalogue. CSI sells an existing range of 106 fragrance oil listings in pack sizes from 15 g to 1 kg. If an exclusive scent is essential to your brand, a fragrance house is the usual route; if you want to know whether anything beyond the listed range is possible, ask on WhatsApp rather than assuming either way.
How can I tell whether a fragrance seller is really a manufacturer?
Ask directly: "Do you compound this oil yourself, or buy it in?" A trustworthy source answers plainly. Then look past the label to what matters for production — published prices, a sample-to-production pack ladder, MSDS and IFRA documentation per oil, clean listings and a bulk channel that replies clearly. Finally, retain a sample from your first order and compare the second delivery against it.
