Pillar Wax Supplier in India
For pillars, use a hard wax: beeswax, fully refined paraffin, or Soy Pillar Wax hardened with 3–7% microcrystalline. Container soy waxes are too soft to stand alone.
One line: what to demand from a pillar wax supplier — hardness, release, pack range.

Where our pillar page is thin. Soy Pillar Wax does not publish a melt point or fragrance load. Test release and hardness with one mould before a production run, and ask on WhatsApp for anything you need in writing.

What to ask CSI on WhatsApp before a first pillar order, and what to test yourself

A good pillar wax supplier answers specific questions. A good buyer asks them in writing. CSI's Soy Pillar Wax page does not publish a melt point or a fragrance load, so the questions matter more here than they would for a wax with a full data sheet.

The questions worth sending

Send them to +91 7397976926 as one message, so the answers come back together. Ask whether a melt point for Soy Pillar Wax can be stated in writing. Ask whether CSI recommends a maximum fragrance load for it. Ask whether it can be blended with the Microcrystalline Wax Slab at the stated 3–7% for pillars, and whether the chunks from one order come from one batch. If you need a GST invoice, say so now; CSI provides one on request. If you plan to order above 10 kg, ask for a quote, because larger quantities are quoted on WhatsApp rather than listed.

A supplier who says "we do not have that figure" is being more useful than one who guesses. Write down what you are told and the date.

The tests that stand in for a data sheet

Where a figure is not published, you create your own. Set test: pour one pillar and note how long before it pulls away from the mould walls on its own. Hardness test: a day after pouring, press a thumbnail into the base. Do the same on a paraffin pillar for comparison. Release test: count how many pours a mould gives before the surface starts to drag. Load test: pour at 6%, 8% and 10% of candle weight and look for oil beading on the surface after a week.

Treating a missing spec as a bad wax. An unpublished melt point is a gap in the product page, not a fault in the wax. Test it properly and you will know more about how it behaves in your moulds than a single number would tell you.

Judging the supplier, not only the wax

Pack range tells you something too. Soy Pillar Wax is listed from 500 g to 10 kg, which lets you trial small and scale without changing supplier. Paraffin pellets are listed only to 1 kg, so if a trial pushes you towards paraffin, ask about larger quantities before you plan around it. CSI does not quote delivery times on the store, so ask for that on WhatsApp too, for your pincode.

One folder
Keep the supplier's replies, your test notes and a photo of each test pillar in one place. That folder is your specification.

Argue against interest
Buy the wax your candle needs, not the bag that looks professional.
We would sell more by telling you to buy 10 kg. On most of our waxes it is not cheaper per kilogram, and wax you cannot use before summer is a storage problem.
Price the candle, not the kilogram.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. We publish every pack price, so every per-kilogram and per-candle figure here can be checked against the product pages — including the ones that show a bigger bag is not cheaper.

Prices are taken from live CSI stock in September 2026. Where a product page does not publish a specification, this guide says so rather than filling the gap.

Figures verified September 2026 (CSI live pricing): Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (flakes): ₹260.00 / 500 g, ₹507.40 / 1 kg, ₹2,537.00 / 5 kg, ₹5,074.00 / 10 kg; Soy Pillar Wax: ₹300.00 / 500 g, ₹600.00 / 1 kg, ₹3,000.00 / 5 kg, ₹6,000.00 / 10 kg; Beeswax Pellets (white or yellow): ₹800.00 / 1 kg, ₹4,000.00 / 5 kg, ₹8,000.00 / 10 kg; Fully Refined Paraffin Wax Pellets: ₹177.00 / 500 g, ₹354.00 / 1 kg; Semi Refined Paraffin Wax: ₹220.00 / 1 kg; Microcrystalline Wax Slab: ₹149.00 / 500 g, ₹299.00 / 1 kg. Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) ₹5.90 each; Thick (C2) ₹9.44 each. Microcrystalline and Vybar usage rates are as stated on their product pages. Collection counts: Candle Wax 15, Fragrance Oils 93, Candle Wicks 7, Containers 81, Moulds 62, Dyes 25.

Assumptions: Fragrance load 8% of total candle weight, so wax is 92% of the fill (a 200 g candle = 184 g wax + 16 g oil). Order plans add a 5% wastage allowance (10% where stated for festive buffers). "Cheapest listed packs" is the lowest-cost combination of listed pack sizes, preferring fewer bags when prices tie within a few rupees. Candle counts are rounded down. Costs are core materials only and exclude jar, label, packaging, labour, freight and GST unless stated. Wax stated fragrance maximums are the wax maker's formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Pack sizes not listed on the store (2, 20, 25, 100 kg) are shown as combinations of listed packs; larger quantities are quoted on WhatsApp. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November.
