Strawberry Candle Fragrance Oil 1 Kg Price in India
शेयर करना
Is 1 kg cheaper per gram than 500 g? No. They are identical. 500 g is ₹1,770, also ₹3.54 a gram, so two bottles come to exactly ₹3,540. Buy the pair.
How many candles does 1 kg make? At an 8% load: 125 candles of 100 g, 83 of 150 g, 62 of 200 g, or 41 of 300 g. Fragrance cost per 200 g candle is ₹56.64.
Should you buy a kilogram? Only if strawberry already sells for you. It is roughly a year of one flavour — the threshold is 62 candles of 200 g, or 125 of 100 g, inside twelve months.
₹3,540 a kilogram — and where that sits
The strawberry oil CSI stocks is Fresh Strawberries, and the kilogram is ₹3,540 — ₹3.54 for every gram that goes into a candle. "Cheap" is a comparison, not a property, so fix that number against the range first.
In the CSI pricing cluster this oil belongs to, fifteen fragrances sit side by side at the 1 kg tier. Eucalyptus Spearmint is the floor at ₹3,068 a kilogram (₹3.07/g). Fresh Strawberries is next at ₹3.54. Then the gap opens: Cinnamon Vanilla ₹4,554.80 (₹4.55/g), Apple Cinnamon ₹4,743.60 (₹4.74/g), Bergamot Amber ₹5,437 (₹5.44/g), Juicy Orange ₹7,499 (₹7.50/g), Gilli Mitti ₹8,960 (₹8.96/g) and Amber Oud Royal ₹11,640 (₹11.64/g) at the top. The dearest oil in that cluster costs 3.29 times what strawberry costs per gram.
In a candle that stops being abstract. A 200 g candle at an 8% load takes 16 g of oil: ₹56.64 of Fresh Strawberries, ₹143.36 of Gilli Mitti, or ₹186.24 of Amber Oud Royal — ₹129.60 a unit of spread from the choice of scent alone, or ₹38,880 across a 300-unit run. Strawberry is one of the few oils where fragrance stops being the line you worry about on a costing sheet.
| Size | Price | Per gram | Cost of 1 kg bought at this size | Premium over the 1 kg bottle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 g | ₹113.28 | ₹7.55 | ₹7,552.00 | +₹4,012.00 |
| 50 g | ₹212.40 | ₹4.25 | ₹4,248.00 | +₹708.00 |
| 100 g | ₹377.60 | ₹3.78 | ₹3,776.00 | +₹236.00 |
| 500 g | ₹1,770.00 | ₹3.54 | ₹3,540.00 | ₹0.00 |
| 1 kg | ₹3,540.00 | ₹3.54 | ₹3,540.00 | — |
Read the last column downwards and the shape of the discount is obvious. 15 g to 50 g saves ₹3,304 on a kilogram's worth. 50 g to 100 g saves ₹472 more. 100 g to 500 g saves the last ₹236. 500 g to 1 kg saves nothing at all. The curve falls hard, then flattens — one tier earlier than most buyers assume.
That shape dictates how you should approach a scent you have not sold before. Buy 15 g at ₹113.28 to smell it, cold and hot, in your own wax. If it survives that, buy 100 g at ₹377.60 — six 200 g candles at 8%, enough to put in front of real customers and see whether they reorder. Only then move to 500 g at ₹1,770, where the per-gram rate bottoms out. The whole ladder from sample to bulk costs ₹2,260.88 and gives you evidence at every step instead of a shelf full of an oil nobody asked for.
The finding: 500 g and 1 kg cost exactly the same per gram
This is the part worth acting on. 500 g of Fresh Strawberries is ₹1,770 and 1 kg is ₹3,540. Both are ₹3.54 a gram, so two 500 g bottles come to ₹3,540 — exactly the kilogram price, to the rupee. There is no bulk discount left to capture at the kilogram tier, which means the choice between formats is not a price decision at all. It is a storage decision, and on storage the pair wins.
The duller argument is risk. A cracked cap in transit, a spill on the bench, a batch you decide you do not like — you lose 500 g, not 1 kg. Splitting a ₹3,540 order across two containers costs nothing and halves your single point of failure. It is standard practice among buyers who do this for a living, as covered in how premium brands buy fragrance wholesale.
What a kilogram of strawberry actually makes
A kilogram is 1,000 g of oil. What that becomes depends on fill weight and fragrance load — and the load ceiling is not yours to choose freely. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks are rated to hold up to 13%; Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 flakes to up to 10%. Those are the wax manufacturers' formulation limits — what each wax will hold in solution — not regulatory limits, and not interchangeable. Work to the number on the wax you bought.
| Fill weight | @ 8% — candles | @ 8% — oil per candle | @ 10% — candles | @ 10% — oil per candle | @ 13% — candles | @ 13% — oil per candle |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 g | 125 | ₹28.32 | 100 | ₹35.40 | 76 | ₹46.02 |
| 150 g | 83 | ₹42.48 | 66 | ₹53.10 | 51 | ₹69.03 |
| 200 g | 62 | ₹56.64 | 50 | ₹70.80 | 38 | ₹92.04 |
| 300 g | 41 | ₹84.96 | 33 | ₹106.20 | 25 | ₹138.06 |
That table is the commercial point of this page. At ₹3.54 a gram the fragrance line on a 100 g candle is ₹28.32 at 8%, and ₹46.02 poured at 13% in Luxury Soy Chunks. Set that against the ₹143.36 of Gilli Mitti in a 200 g candle at the same 8% and you can see why a strawberry line survives a price point a patchouli line cannot. It frees the money to go into glass, where the customer can see it.
Which wax you pair it with moves more money than the oil does. On the same 184 g of wax in a 200 g candle: Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399/kg is ₹73.42, CSI 464 flakes at ₹507.40/kg is ₹93.36, Luxury Soy Chunks at ₹599/kg is ₹110.22, and Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 at ₹650/kg is ₹119.60. That is a ₹46.18 spread — nearly the entire ₹56.64 fragrance line — decided by a material the customer never reads on the label.
| Size | Price | Per gram | 200g candles @ 8% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15g | ₹113.28 | ₹7.55 | ≈1 |
| 50g | ₹212.40 | ₹4.25 | ≈3 |
| 100g | ₹377.60 | ₹3.78 | ≈6 |
| 500g | ₹1,770.00 | ₹3.54 | ≈31 |
| 1kg | ₹3,540.00 | ₹3.54 | ≈62 |
The 200 g bill of materials, line by line
Fragrance cost per candle only means something next to the rest of the build. Here is a complete 200 g container candle at 8% — 184 g of wax, 16 g of oil — at CSI live pricing, September 2026.
| Line | Product | Rate | Cost | Share |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jar | Premium Glass Clip-Top Airtight Container | ₹229.00 each | ₹229.00 | 56.2% |
| Wax | Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, 184 g | ₹599.00 / kg | ₹110.22 | 27.0% |
| Fragrance | Fresh Strawberries, 16 g | ₹3.54 / g | ₹56.64 | 13.9% |
| Wick | Eco Candle Wick, Thick (C2) | ₹944.00 / 100 | ₹9.44 | 2.3% |
| Sticker | Candle Wick Sticker | ₹100.00 / 40 | ₹2.50 | 0.6% |
| Total | Materials, before labour, packaging and shipping | — | ₹407.80 | 100% |
The share column is blunt. The glass is the biggest cost at 56.2% of the build; the fragrance is 13.9%. The scent is what the customer buys, talks about and reorders for, and it is the third line on the sheet by value. Makers spend hours shaving rupees off the oil, then put the candle in a ₹229 vessel without blinking.
Two warnings about reading a bill of materials. It is materials only — no labour, no outer box, no label, no courier, no marketplace commission, no failed pours — so it is a floor, not a cost of goods. And it is a per-unit figure at bulk rates: the ₹110.22 of wax assumes you bought a kilogram or more, and the ₹9.44 wick assumes a pack of 100. Build the sheet at the quantities you actually order, then add the rest before you set a retail price.
Where a kilogram of strawberry actually goes
Strawberry is a volume scent, not a range-topper. It does not sell into the quiet, expensive, single-candle purchase the way Gilli Mitti or Amber Oud Royal do. It sells where the unit is small, the quantity is large and nobody is agonising — which is exactly the shape of order that eats a kilogram of oil.
| Channel | Format | Units from 1 kg | Materials per unit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wax melts | 50 g in Wax Melts Containers at ₹29.50 | 250 | ₹71.21 |
| Party & birthday volume | 70 g in a Clear Glass Votive Jar at ₹31.86 | 178 | ₹98.66 |
| Children's & teen gifting | 50 g in a Heart Cutout Velvet Jar at ₹45.00 | 250 | ₹95.11 |
| Dessert & novelty candles | 100 g moulded in Soy Pillar Wax at ₹600/kg | 125 | from ₹83.52 |
| Corporate gifting at a price point | 150 g in a Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid at ₹94.40 | 83 | ₹231.48 |
Wax melts are the quietest of the five and often the largest. No wick, no burn test, no wick-size argument — scent, wax and a ₹29.50 clamshell. Fruit accords do well in melts because no flame is overheating the top notes, and a 250-unit melt line is a realistic way to move a kilogram inside a season.
Party and birthday volume is where the votive earns its place. A 70 g Clear Glass Votive Jar at ₹31.86 carries ₹98.66 of materials, which supports a return-gift price a 200 g jar candle cannot. One order of 60 return gifts consumes 336 g of oil — a third of the kilogram on a single invoice. That is the order that makes a bulk buy rational, and the case is made in best fragrance oils for festive bulk candle orders.
Children's and teen gifting is strawberry's home ground — one of a handful of scents a twelve-year-old will recognise, name and choose unprompted, and it photographs as well as it smells. Dessert and novelty candles extend that into moulds: strawberry over Soy Pillar Wax at ₹600 a kilogram gives cake slices, sundaes and fruit forms that sell on appearance and are confirmed by the smell.
Corporate gifting is the fifth and the most forgiving of fragrance cost. A lidded 150 g candle in a Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid at ₹94.40 in packs of 10 or 20 costs ₹231.48 in materials, of which only ₹42.48 is oil. Corporate buyers order in hundreds against a budget line and do not haggle over scent sophistication. The real question is whether you can deliver 300 identical candles in three weeks — a capacity problem, covered in scaling to 1,000 orders a month.
The honest risk, and the consumption threshold
Here is the argument against the thing we are selling. Strawberry is a narrow scent. Fruity, sweet, literal, instantly legible — and that legibility is its commercial strength, but it also means the oil has almost no lateral movement. A kilogram of Bergamot Amber or Cinnamon Vanilla can be pushed into a festive range, a wedding hamper and a home-fragrance line. Strawberry goes into strawberry products. If the line stops selling, the remaining oil has nowhere to go.
So set a threshold. Buy the kilogram only when you are already moving about 62 candles of 200 g, or 125 of 100 g, of strawberry in twelve months — five medium or ten small candles a month, every month, with orders to prove it. Not a hope, not a planned launch, not "it should do well at Christmas". A channel you already sell into. If you cannot point at last year's numbers or a confirmed order, the right buy is one 500 g bottle at ₹1,770 — the identical ₹3.54 a gram with half the exposure. Starting small costs you nothing per gram, which is the unusual and useful feature of this price ladder.
Storage, documentation and invoicing
Storage. Keep both bottles closed, upright, out of direct sunlight and away from heat — the coolest room you have, not the shelf beside the melter. Indian ambient temperature is the main variable: a store room that reaches 40°C through a Chennai summer ages oil faster than the same bottle in a Bengaluru cupboard. Cap tightly every time, because a loosely closed bottle loses top notes continuously rather than occasionally, and do not leave oil standing in an open pouring jug between batches.
Documentation. CSI supplies MSDS and IFRA documentation on request. Ask for it when you place a bulk order, not when a customer, a marketplace or an insurer asks you. IFRA documentation states usage guidance by application, which is a separate question from the wax's stated load: the wax number tells you what the wax will hold, the fragrance documentation tells you what the oil is cleared for in a given product type. Have both on file before you scale a line. The gap between a documented oil and an undocumented one is invisible until it matters.
Invoicing. Every CSI order carries GST invoicing — what lets a registered business claim input credit on raw materials, and what a corporate client's accounts department wants before releasing a purchase order. At a kilogram of oil you are past the point where this is optional bookkeeping; it is part of the margin. Put fragrance, wax, jars and wicks on one invoice where you can: cleaner books, cheaper shipping. The wholesale buyer's guide covers consolidated orders, and the profitability guide shows where input costs land once the candle is priced.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. The commercially convenient version of this page would tell you to buy the kilogram. Instead it tells you that two 500 g bottles cost the identical ₹3,540 and store better, and that if you cannot name the channel the oil is going into, the right order is one 500 g bottle at ₹1,770 at the same rate. We would rather sell 500 g twice than have a kilogram sit on your shelf.
Every price here is taken from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing and specification always take precedence. Fragrance figures are the listed variant prices for Fresh Strawberries: ₹113.28 / 15 g, ₹212.40 / 50 g, ₹377.60 / 100 g, ₹1,770 / 500 g and ₹3,540 / 1 kg. The 13% and 10% loads are the wax manufacturers' stated maximums for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 — formulation limits, not regulatory limits, and not interchangeable between waxes.
