Best Candle Fragrance Oils for Diwali Collections

Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November — about 82 days from now. That is exactly enough time to test, cure, pour, cure again and dispatch, and only if the fragrance is ordered in the next fortnight. Ten oils, real prices, and the arithmetic for a 100- and 300-candle run.
₹7,397
a three-scent Diwali set at 500g each · ≈93 candles of 200g · CSI live pricing, August 2026
Quick answers — read this first
When is the fragrance deadline for Diwali 2026? Diwali is Sunday 8 November 2026. Order 100g test sizes by 31 August, lock your three scents by 30 September, pour through the first fortnight of October, cure to late October, dispatch in the first days of November. Every week lost now comes out of the cure, and cure is what festive throw depends on.

Which oils suit a Diwali candle? Warm, resinous, spiced and sweet: Sandalwood (₹503/100g), Sacred Sandal Ember (₹799), Dark Vanilla (₹790), Dark Vanilla Oud (₹590), Woody Oud (₹453), Regal Royal Oud (₹699), Midnight Bakhoor Royale (₹799), Amber Oud Royal (₹1,299), Saffron Cedarwood (₹696) and Rajnigandha (₹500).

How much oil for 100 candles? 1,600g for 100 candles of 200g at an 8% load, or about 1,750g with allowances. For 300 candles: 4,800g, or about 5,184g with allowances.

What should you buy in kilograms? Only oils with a second season. The November–December wedding peak sits on top of Diwali and Christmas is 25 December, so sandalwood, oud, amber and saffron earn their kilo. A Diwali-only novelty does not.
The short answer
Buy: three oils on one shared base — for example Rajnigandha, Saffron Cedarwood and Sandalwood at 500g each, ₹7,397 for roughly 93 candles.
Why these registers: a Diwali candle burns beside diyas, marigold, mithai and incense. Warm woods, resins, amber and spice join that room; aquatics, mint and sharp citrus fight it.
The next step: order 100g of five or six candidates by 31 August, pour test candles in the first week of September, and judge them at day 14 and day 21.

The Diwali countdown — 82 days from mid-August to 8 November 2026 1 — By 31 Aug · order 100g of 5–6 candidate oils · this is the real deadline 2 — 1–26 Sept · pour tests, cure 14–21 days, burn-test twice 3 — By 30 Sept · lock 3 scents, place the bulk order 4 — 1–28 Oct · pour the run, cure 14 days 5 — 31 Oct–3 Nov · pack & dispatch
The ladder narrows because every stage after the first has a fixed minimum length. Testing and curing cannot be compressed, production can only be compressed by hiring, and dispatch is set by the courier. The only stage you actually control is the first one, and it closes at the end of August.
Straight answer
Which fragrance oils should a Diwali candle collection be built from — and when do they have to be ordered?
Build the collection from warm woods, resins, amber and spice, because that is the scent world the candle will actually burn in: diyas, marigold, mithai, incense and a house full of people. The ten strongest CSI options are Sandalwood (₹503/100g), Sacred Sandal Ember (₹799), Dark Vanilla (₹790), Dark Vanilla Oud (₹590), Woody Oud (₹453), Regal Royal Oud (₹699), Midnight Bakhoor Royale (₹799), Amber Oud Royal (₹1,299), Saffron Cedarwood (₹696) and Rajnigandha (₹500). The timing is the harder half of the question. Diwali 2026 is Sunday 8 November, roughly 82 days from mid-August. Test pours need 14 to 21 days of cure before you can honestly judge them, the production run needs a fortnight, the finished stock needs another 14-day cure, and dispatch has to land before Dhanteras — which falls roughly two days before Diwali. Chain those together and the 100g test order has to be placed by 31 August, with the bulk order following by 30 September. There is no version of this calendar where an October fragrance decision produces a cured festive candle.
One line: pick three warm oils from the ten below, order 100g of each by 31 August, lock and bulk-order by 30 September, pour through October, dispatch by 3 November for Diwali on 8 November.
Still deciding? Order 100g each of five candidates — Sandalwood, Woody Oud, Dark Vanilla Oud, Saffron Cedarwood and Rajnigandha comes to ₹2,742 and makes roughly 30 test candles. That is the whole festive decision de-risked for under ₹3,000.

Counting back from 8 November

A festive candle business is not judged on what it pours. It is judged on what has finished curing by the last week of October.

Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November, with Lakshmi Puja that evening. The five-day festival runs across the days either side: Dhanteras roughly two days before, Bhai Dooj roughly two days after. For a candle maker the commercially important date is not Diwali itself but Dhanteras, because that is when a large share of festive buying actually happens — and corporate gifting orders leave the office earlier still, usually in the last full week of October.

From mid-August that is 82 days. It sounds generous. It is not, because four of the intervening stages have fixed minimum durations that no amount of effort shortens. Fragrance oil has to reach you. Test candles have to cure. Production candles have to cure again. Couriers take the time they take. The only genuinely elastic stage is the pouring itself, and pouring is not where festive runs fail.

1
Now to 31 August — order 100g test sizesFive or six candidates at 100g each. Not 15g: a 15g pack makes roughly one candle, which is not enough to burn one and keep one for cold-throw reference. 100g gives you six candles of 200g at an 8% load, so you can pour two, photograph one and still have oil left for a second attempt at the load.
2
1–5 September — pour the testsTwo candles per scent, in the jar you will actually sell, at the fill weight and fragrance load you will actually use. A test poured at 150g in a different vessel tells you almost nothing about how the 200g production candle will throw.
3
5–26 September — cure and burn-test twiceJudge at day 14, then again at day 21. Heavy oud, amber, bakhoor and resin oils routinely gain between those two readings, which is precisely why a compressed September produces the wrong shortlist. Burn in a closed room of realistic size, not an open studio.
4
26–30 September — lock three and place the bulk orderFragrance, wax, wicks, jars, labels and packaging in a single order. Splitting the order across three weeks in October is the most common self-inflicted festive failure: the wax lands, the jars do not, and the pour slips a fortnight.
5
1–14 October — pour the runPour corporate and hamper orders in the first week so they carry the longest cure, then retail stock in the second. Keep one batch sheet per pour: date, scent, load, wax lot, jar, wick, number of units. When something goes wrong in week three, that sheet is the only thing that tells you why.
6
14–28 October — cure the runFourteen days, lids on, in a closed box away from sunlight. Corporate hampers poured in the first week are cured and ready for dispatch by roughly 22–24 October, which is when most company gifting actually ships.
7
28 October–3 November — label, pack, dispatchWarning labels, care cards, filler, cartons, courier. Retail stock should be with customers before Dhanteras. Anything dispatched after 4 November is a December candle wearing a Diwali label.
The one-week test
Take any stage above and delay it by seven days. If the delay lands after 30 September, it eats the second cure, and an uncured festive candle is the single fastest way to lose a repeat corporate client. If it lands before 30 September, you still have slack. That is the whole reason the August deadline matters more than the October one.

The ten Diwali oils, with prices

A Diwali candle does not burn in a neutral room. It burns beside oil lamps, marigold garlands, sweets, agarbatti and cooking. The fragrances that work are the ones that join that room rather than argue with it: sandalwood, oud, amber, bakhoor, saffron, cinnamon, vanilla and the heavy Indian white florals. The ones that fail are aquatics, cold mint and bright citrus — they read as clean and functional, which is precisely the wrong register for a festival about warmth and abundance.

All prices below are CSI live pricing, August 2026. The final column is the fragrance cost inside one 200g candle at an 8% load, which is 16g of oil, calculated at 1kg pricing.

Check 500g against 1kg before you order Saffron Cedarwood. On this oil the 500g pack works out at ₹5.17 per gram and the 1kg pack at ₹6.87. Two 500g packs cost ₹5,168 against ₹6,868 for a single kilogram — the same quantity for ₹1,700 less. That is unusual across the CSI range, where per-gram cost normally falls with size, but it is what the live pricing says today. Compare both lines on the product page before committing a festive order, and if you need more than 2kg, ask on WhatsApp rather than assuming the ladder.

Five of the ten deserve unpacking, because they do different jobs in a collection rather than being ranked versions of the same thing.

1
Woody · the default festive anchor
Sandalwood Fragrance Oil
If you buy one oil for Diwali, buy this one. Sandalwood carries cultural weight no imported gourmand can borrow — it reads as ceremonial, warm and appropriate for a house, which is exactly the brief for a festival candle, a wedding favour and a corporate hamper alike. It is also structurally forgiving: heavy molecules carry well from a low-temperature soy melt pool, so it holds hot throw where lighter oils thin out. At ₹5.03 per gram from 100g upward it is one of the cheaper serious oils in the festive set, which matters when it is going to be 50% of your run.

2
Oriental gourmand · the bridge scent
Dark Vanilla Oud
The most useful oil in a festive range, because it converts two different customers with one candle. The vanilla makes it legible to a buyer who has never bought a scented candle — they know what it will smell like from the name — while the oud gives it the depth that stops it reading as a bakery. It sits naturally between a sweet mithai scent and a dry oud in a three-candle set, which is why it so often ends up as the middle candle. At ₹5.69 per gram it is priced closer to the entry oils than to the premium ones.

3
Resin & incense · the differentiator
Midnight Bakhoor Royale
Bakhoor is the scent Indian buyers recognise instantly from weddings, festivals and prayer rooms, and almost nobody in the small-batch candle market is selling it. That is the whole argument for including it: your Diwali range will otherwise be a sandalwood, a vanilla and an oud, exactly like everyone else's. This is smoke, resin and warm wood — the candle that makes a customer stop at a market stall and ask what it is. It is a heavy oil, so give it the full 21-day cure before you judge it. Sold in 100g, 500g and 1kg only.

Spiced wood · the modern festive
Saffron Cedarwood
Saffron is the most expensive spice in an Indian kitchen and the most legible luxury signal in an Indian gift, and over dry cedar it produces a candle that reads festive without reading traditional. This is the scent for the buyer who wants a Diwali candle for a modern apartment rather than a puja room — younger, urban, and usually willing to pay more. It also photographs well as a story: saffron and cedar is a two-ingredient description that fits on a label. Note the 500g-versus-1kg pricing quirk flagged above before you order in volume.

Indian floral · the opener
Rajnigandha (Tuberose)
Every set of three warm candles needs one that opens brightly, or the collection smells like one candle in three strengths. Rajnigandha does that job without leaving the Indian register: it is the flower of festivals, garlands and weddings, heavy and creamy rather than thin and green, so it sits comfortably on a sandalwood or amber base instead of floating above it. At ₹4.46 per gram at 1kg it is also the cheapest oil in the shortlist, which makes it a sensible choice for the tealight and votive tiers where fragrance cost per unit matters most. If you want the same job done by jasmine instead, Raat Ki Rani and Mogra are the alternatives.

What to leave out of a Diwali set
Aquatics, cold mint, eucalyptus and sharp citrus. They are excellent oils and they sell well in summer, but next to a lit diya they register as bathroom-clean rather than festive. If you want a fresh note in a festive range, use it in the packaging and the colour story, not in the wax.

Building a three-scent collection that reads as a set

Three good candles are not a collection. A collection is three candles a customer can recognise as belonging together before they read a single label, which is what converts a ₹799 single into a ₹2,199 hamper. The mechanism is simpler than it looks: share one thing, vary one thing, and hold everything else absolutely constant.

Share a base. All three candles should sit on the same foundation — sandalwood, amber or a soft vanilla-oud. When the base is shared, three quite different openings still smell like one house. Vary the lead. One floral, one spiced, one resinous is the classic Indian festive spread and it gives a customer a genuine reason to want all three rather than picking one. Hold the rest constant. Same wax, same fill weight, same jar, same lid, same label grid, one naming logic. If your three candles differ in scent and jar and label style, you have not made a collection; you have made three unrelated products that happen to be on the same table.

Three ready-made Diwali sets · 500g of each oil
Each set is 1,500g of fragrance — roughly 93 candles of 200g at an 8% load
Set Opener Middle Anchor Oil cost Reads as
The Temple set Rajnigandha ₹2,300 Saffron Cedarwood ₹2,584 Sandalwood ₹2,513 ₹7,397 Traditional, puja-room, gift-safe for any age
The Oud set Woody Oud ₹2,266 Dark Vanilla Oud ₹2,845 Regal Royal Oud ₹3,299 ₹8,410 One idea at three intensities; a clear price ladder
The Mithai set Cinnamon Vanilla ₹2,301 Dark Vanilla ₹3,840 Sacred Sandal Ember ₹3,999 ₹10,140 Sweet, edible, sells hardest to first-time candle buyers

For a premium corporate tier, the equivalent trio is Amber Oud Royal at ₹5,999, Midnight Bakhoor Royale at ₹3,999 and Sacred Sandal Ember at ₹3,999 — ₹13,997 for 1,500g. The fragrance cost per 200g candle runs ₹112 to ₹186 against ₹71 to ₹110 in the Temple set, which sounds like a lot until you notice it supports a retail price ₹300 higher per unit. Premium fragrance is one of the few places in candle making where the cost increase is smaller than the price increase it justifies.

The CSI principle
A collection is one idea told three times. Three ideas told once each is a shelf.
Share the base note, vary only the lead, and keep the wax, fill weight, jar and label identical across all three. The customer who buys a set is not buying three scents; they are buying the confidence that someone designed them together.
Name the set before you pour it. Three candles called Sandalwood, Saffron Cedarwood and Rajnigandha are three ingredients. Three called by one naming logic — an evening, a ritual, a time of night — are a collection, and they justify a set price. Do this in September while the test candles are curing, not in the last week of October when you are packing. Naming late is why so many festive ranges ship with ingredient labels and set-price ambitions.

Jars, hampers and tealights: choosing the gifting format

Diwali is a gifting festival before it is a home-fragrance festival, so the format question is not decorative — it decides your average order value. The workable answer is three price points built from the same three oils, so that one production run serves a ₹699 impulse buy, a ₹1,299 considered gift and a ₹2,199 hamper without a single extra scent being tested.

Format economics · Sandalwood at 1kg pricing, 8% load
What each Diwali format actually costs to make
Format Build Oil per unit Materials Indicative retail
Single 200g jar 184g wax ₹110.20 · wick ₹5.90 · jar ₹47.20 16g / ₹80.43 ₹243.73 ₹699–₹799
Box of 12 big tealights 20g wax ₹12 · cup ₹11.80 · wick ₹7.07 each 1.6g / ₹8.04 ≈₹490 ₹1,299–₹1,499
Three-jar hamper 3 × 200g jars · carton ₹26.72 · filler & tissue ≈₹15 48g / ₹241.29 ≈₹773 ₹2,199–₹2,499
70g votive trio 3 × (64.4g wax ₹38.64 · votive ₹31.90 · wick ₹5.90) 5.6g / ₹28.15 each ≈₹314 ₹899–₹999

The tealight tier is the one most makers skip and should not. Big Tealights run to roughly nine hours of burn and cost ₹11.80 each in a pack of 100 (₹1,180), or ₹118 for a pack of 10 while you are testing. At a 20g fill and an 8% load each takes just 1.6g of oil, so 100g of fragrance makes about 62 tealights and 1kg makes about 620. A box of twelve is the single easiest Diwali gift to sell: it is the format people already buy for diya-adjacent lighting, it needs no explanation, and it absorbs the wax left at the bottom of a production run instead of wasting it. The cheaper Tea Lights Aluminium cups at ₹6.49 each in a pack of 100 bring the box cost down further if you are pricing aggressively.

For jars, the festive decision is colour. The 200ml Salsa Glass Jar with golden lug cap is ₹2,950 for 100 — ₹29.50 a jar, the cheapest serious vessel in the range and the one that makes the hamper maths work. The coloured versions in red, amber, green, purple and pink are ₹6,200 for 100 (₹62 each) and photograph far better against Diwali lighting. If you want gold-lidded shine at small volumes, the Red Shiny Glass Jar with Golden Lid is ₹50 and the Amber Shiny Glass Jar is ₹236 per pack of 5. The full range is in glass jars for candle making.

Hampers live or die on the packaging line, and it is cheaper than most makers assume: a corrugated candle box at ₹2,242 per 100, red crinkle paper filler at ₹300 for 500g, tissue paper at ₹650 per 100 sheets and a candle care sticker roll at ₹413 per 500. Budget ₹40–₹60 of packaging per hamper and price accordingly. Everything is in packaging materials.

The mithai candle route
If you want a genuinely Diwali-specific novelty tier, the Ladoo mould (₹472), the Kaju Katli mould (₹390) and the Lotus mould (₹471) turn the same three fragrances into a boxed sweet-shop set. These are moulded candles, so pour them in Soy Pillar Wax (₹300/500g), not container wax — container soy will not release cleanly from a detailed mould.
Festive bulk is exactly what the WhatsApp desk is for. Jars by the hundred, wax by the 10kg, oil by the kilogram, GST invoice and documentation — quoted in one thread, in one order, so nothing part-ships in October.

How much oil a 100-candle and a 300-candle run needs

This is the arithmetic that decides whether your festive run finishes or stalls in the third week of October. The base figures are fixed: a 200g candle at an 8% fragrance load takes 16g of oil and 184g of wax. Everything else is multiplication plus an honest allowance for what you lose in the jug.

The components priced above: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹5,999/10kg (≈₹0.60/g) · Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) at ₹590 per 100 · Amber Shiny Glass Jar with Black Lid at ₹236 per pack of 5 (₹47.20 each) and the 200ml Salsa Glass Jar at ₹2,950 per 100 (₹29.50 each). The jar is always the easiest line to move: switching the 300-candle run from amber packs of 5 to Salsa hundreds saves ₹5,310.

Two things fall out of that table. The first is that the 300-candle run is ₹20 per candle cheaper than the 100-candle run, almost entirely because of jar and fragrance pack sizing — which is the real argument for consolidating a festive order rather than reordering three times through October. The second is that at ₹252–₹272 in materials, both runs support a ₹749–₹899 retail price on the standard 30–35% materials rule, which is exactly where well-made Indian 200g soy candles sit.

If you run at a 10% load instead of 8% — which Luxury Soy Chunks comfortably permit, being rated to 13% — each 200g candle takes 20g of oil and 180g of wax. That moves 100 candles to 2,000g of fragrance and 300 candles to 6,000g, and it adds roughly ₹20 of oil per candle on Sandalwood. For a gifting candle that will be lit once, briefly, in a crowded room, the extra load is often worth it. For a 500-unit corporate order priced to a budget, it usually is not.

Do not buy fragrance to the exact gram. The 8% allowance in the table above is not padding. It covers residue in the pouring jug, the two or three candles you will reject on finish, the top-up on a sinkhole, and the sample you send a corporate client in week two. Makers who order 1,600g for 100 candles finish 94 candles and place a panicked reorder in the third week of October, which is the one week of the year when nobody wants to be waiting on a courier.
Festive runs are not lost in the pouring. They are lost in the week you spent waiting for the second order of oil.

Why a Diwali kilogram should also be a December kilogram

The single most expensive festive mistake is buying a kilogram of something that only works for one week in November. Indian wedding season runs broadly November to February and again April to June, and its November–December peak sits directly on top of Diwali. Christmas is 25 December, about six weeks after Diwali. That means the same stock room has to serve three occasions in eight weeks, and the oils that do it are precisely the ones on the shortlist above.

Sandalwood, Regal Royal Oud, Amber Oud Royal and Saffron Cedarwood move straight from Diwali jars into wedding favours in December and January with nothing changed but the label. Cinnamon, Cinnamon Vanilla and Pumpkin Spice cross into Christmas without effort. The leftover 272g from the 100-candle run above is not waste — it is seventeen more candles, which is a small wedding favour order sitting in a bottle.

The kilogram test
Before you buy 1kg of anything for Diwali, name the December order it will also serve. If you cannot name one, buy 500g. A kilogram of a genuinely Diwali-only scent is not a bulk discount; it is eleven months of storage.

Wax, fragrance load and cure

Festive oils are heavy oils, and heavy oils have specific needs. The wax you choose sets your maximum fragrance load, and the load together with the cure is what actually determines whether a Diwali candle fills a room full of people or disappears into it.

Wax selection for a festive run
Match the wax to the format you are pouring
Wax Best for Load From
Luxury Soy Wax Chunks Jar and container candles; the festive default, and the highest load ceiling in the range Up to 13% ₹299 / 500g
Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (flakes) Single-pour containers, low frosting, strong glass adhesion; melt and pour 80–90°C, 60-month shelf life Up to 10% ₹260 / 500g
Eco Soy CSI 400 Beginners and small festive batches; creamy one-pour finish, no additives Standard ₹399 / 1kg
Soy Pillar Wax Ladoo, kaju katli, lotus and diya-style moulded candles that must release cleanly Standard ₹300 / 500g
Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 The premium hamper tier; smoother finish and a softer, fuller throw Standard ₹325 / 500g

There is no single universal fragrance ceiling and you should not treat one as though there were: Luxury Soy Chunks are rated up to 13% and CSI 464 up to 10%, so the same recipe poured into the wrong wax will either underperform or sweat. Overshooting the ceiling never produces a stronger candle — it produces an oily surface, a poor melt pool and unpredictable burning. Always work to the figure stated on the wax you actually bought.

Give festive oils the full 21 days. Oud, bakhoor, amber and resin oils are the category most likely to be wrongly rejected at day 14, because they are still binding into the wax. If your production pour finishes on 14 October and your first honest reading is 28 October, that is not a delay you can absorb in November — it is the reason the whole calendar starts in August. When you add fragrance, follow the wax: Eco Soy CSI 400 specifies addition at 80–90°C with a full two minutes of stirring. Under-stirred oil sits in the wax rather than dissolving into it, and no amount of curing fixes that.

Wick to the jar diameter, not to the scent, and pair the soy range with Eco Candle Wicks — Thin (C1) at ₹590 per 100 or Thick (C2) at ₹944 per 100, with 500 and 1,000 packs for a large run. An undersized wick will make every oil on this shortlist read as weak, which is the most commonly misdiagnosed problem in candle making and a genuinely expensive one to discover in late October. If a test candle disappoints, work through the weak throw diagnosis guide before you change the fragrance.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. We are not competing with your Diwali range, and we have no reason to steer you toward an expensive oil — the shortlist above runs from ₹453 to ₹1,299 per 100g and the cheapest oil in it is one we recommend for the tealight tier. What we do have is festive order data: which sizes get reordered in September, which scents move from 500g to 1kg in the first week of October, and which makers call in a panic in the third.

Every price, size and product link here is live CSI stock in August 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Cost-per-candle and run-sizing figures are calculated, not estimated, and every input is named so you can rerun the arithmetic against your own jar, wick and load. Festival dates are the verified 2026 calendar: Diwali on Sunday 8 November 2026, with Lakshmi Puja that evening and Dhanteras roughly two days before.

Festive bulk is exactly what that line is for, and September is when it is busiest.

Frequently asked questions

Which fragrance oils are best for Diwali candles?
Warm, resinous, spiced and sweet oils that sit beside diyas, marigold, mithai and incense rather than competing with them. The ten strongest CSI options are Sandalwood (₹503 per 100g), Sacred Sandal Ember (₹799), Dark Vanilla (₹790), Dark Vanilla Oud (₹590), Woody Oud (₹453), Regal Royal Oud (₹699), Midnight Bakhoor Royale (₹799), Amber Oud Royal (₹1,299), Saffron Cedarwood (₹696) and Rajnigandha (₹500). Avoid sharp aquatics, cold mint and bright citrus for a Diwali set — they read as bathroom cleaner next to a lit diya.
When should I order fragrance oil for Diwali 2026?
By the end of August or the first days of September at the latest. Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November, roughly 82 days from mid-August. Working backwards: dispatch in the first days of November, a 14-day cure before that, a fortnight of production before that, a bulk order placed by 30 September, and 14 to 21 days of testing and curing before that. That chain consumes the whole of September, so the 100g test order has to be placed now.
How much fragrance oil do I need for 100 Diwali candles?
1,600g for 100 candles of 200g at an 8% fragrance load, since each candle takes 16g. Add roughly 8% for jug residue, test pours and the odd failed pour and you should hold about 1,750g. Split across three scents at 50/30/20 that is 864g, 518g and 346g, which you buy as 1kg plus 500g plus 500g. For 300 candles the figure is 4,800g, or about 5,184g with the same allowance — buy 3kg, 1.5kg and 1kg.
How do I make three candles feel like one Diwali collection?
Share one base note across all three and vary only the lead. A set built on sandalwood or amber can open with a floral, a spice and a resin and still smell like one house. Then hold every other variable constant: the same wax, the same fill weight, the same jar, the same label system and one naming logic. If a customer can tell the three apart by scent but not by design, you have a collection. If they differ in jar and label as well as scent, you have three unrelated candles on one table.
Should Diwali candles be jars, tealights or hampers?
All three, at three price points, built from the same three oils. A single 200g jar costs roughly ₹234 to ₹350 in materials depending on the oil and retails around ₹699 to ₹999. A box of twelve big tealights costs about ₹490 in materials and retails around ₹1,299. A three-jar hamper costs roughly ₹773 in materials and retails around ₹2,199. Corporate Diwali buyers almost always take the hamper, so build it first and let the jar and tealight box be its offcuts.
Will a Diwali fragrance still sell in December?
The right ones will, and that should decide what you buy in kilograms. The Indian wedding season runs broadly November to February and again April to June, and its November–December peak sits directly on top of Diwali. Sandalwood, oud, amber and saffron carry straight into wedding favours, while cinnamon and spiced gourmands carry into Christmas on 25 December. Buy 1kg only of oils with a second season; keep anything Diwali-specific at 100g or 500g.
Diwali is 8 November · order by 31 August
Three oils, ₹7,397, roughly ninety-three candles — and a calendar that still has slack in it.
Every CSI fragrance oil ships in 100g, 500g and 1kg, with 15g and 50g trial sizes on most. Pair with Luxury Soy Wax Chunks from ₹299, Eco Candle Wicks from ₹590 per 100 and Big Tealights at ₹1,180 per 100.
