Holding 25 to 100 kg of soy wax through an Indian year
The costed orders on this page are ceilings for the wax itself. The cost nobody prices is keeping a bulk order in good condition from the day it arrives until the last bag is poured. At 100 kg that can take months, and in India those months often include a summer and a monsoon.
Know which waxes have a published shelf life
CSI states a 60-month shelf life for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 and Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468, with cool, dry storage specified for CSI 464. Natural Soy Pearl Wax, Eco Soy CSI 400, Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and Soy Pillar Wax carry no shelf life in the specifications we publish. That does not mean they spoil. It means you should ask before you commit to holding a large quantity of them.
April to June
North and west Indian rooms routinely see 40–45°C in these months. Keep bulk wax in the coolest room you have, away from sunlit walls and windows, and never in the room where you melt. Soy is a natural vegetable wax; treat it like a stored ingredient, not like hardware.
June to September
Monsoon humidity attacks cartons and paper labels before it troubles the wax. Keep bags off the floor and away from damp walls, keep them sealed, and reseal an opened bag the same day.
Buy the bulk order in stages
A costed bulk order does not have to arrive at once. 100 kg of CSI 464 is ten 10 kg bags, ₹50,740.00 in total, and the listed price per bag is the same whether you buy four now and six later or all ten together. The same holds for Pearl, whose rate is ₹424.80 from 5 kg upwards. Staging costs nothing on the listed wax price and keeps less wax sitting through a hot season. Delivery may differ, so ask.
Oldest bag first
Mark each bag with the month it arrived, shelve one wax per shelf, and pour the oldest bag first. A bulk order that is rotated stays one known quantity rather than a pile of unknown ages.
Mistake: storing bulk wax beside the melting pot. Every pour warms the room, and the bags nearest the heat get it first. Keep stock and production in separate spaces if you possibly can.
