Reviews collected and published through Judge.me on candlemakingsuppliesindia.store. Three of the six above are reviews of an oud oil — two for Woody Oud Fragrance Oil (Payal Patel, Renam Dhoundiyal) and one for Dark Vanilla Oud (Suman Bisht). The other three are for Sandalwood Fragrance Oil, Sacred Sandal Ember and Gardenia Fragrance Oil, and are shown because they are the nearest woody and concentration-related feedback on record. Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, White Royal Oud, Amber Oud Royal and Lavender Oud have no published reviews at all, so none is shown for them. One long review is shortened with an ellipsis; wording is otherwise unedited.

Fragrance Oil Buying Guides · Oud
CSI lists seven separate oud fragrance oils. The cheapest kilogram is ₹4,531.20 and the dearest is ₹12,000 — a 2.65× spread inside one scent name. This page prices all seven, shows which kilograms actually save money against two 500 g packs, and works out the fragrance cost per candle at both ends.
₹4,531.20
1 kg of Woody Oud, the cheapest of the seven · the dearest, Lavender Oud, is ₹12,000 for the same kilogram · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How much is 1 kg of oud fragrance oil? It depends entirely on which oud. Woody Oud is ₹4,531.20 per kg. Lavender Oud is ₹12,000 per kg. The other five sit between them. There is no single "oud price" — ordering by scent name instead of product name is how buyers get a ₹7,468.80 surprise.
Which oud should a candle business buy in bulk?Woody Oud at ₹4.531 per gram is the volume oud and the only one with published buyer reviews. The Royal line is the luxury tier, ₹6,400 to ₹12,000 per kg.
Is the kilogram cheaper than two 500 g packs? Sometimes. Lavender Oud's kilogram saves ₹400 and Amber Oud Royal's saves ₹358. Woody Oud's saves exactly ₹0, and White Royal Oud's kilogram is ₹1 dearer. The table is below.
Is 1 g of oud at ₹7,000 the same thing? No. That listing is an attar, a finished perfume oil, not a candle fragrance oil. Keep it out of your candle costings entirely.
The short answer
Cheapest kilogram:Woody Oud at ₹4,531.20 per kg (₹4.531/g). Dearest: Lavender Oud at ₹12,000 per kg (₹12.00/g), which is 2.65× the price for the same weight.
Do not confuse these two:Royal Oud at ₹6,400/kg and Regal Royal Oud at ₹6,500/kg are two different oils priced ₹100 apart, and at 100 g they cost exactly the same ₹699.
Test before you commit: 100 g of Woody Oud is ₹453.12 — about six 200 g candles at an 8% load. That is the sensible first order, not a kilogram of anything.
Bar lengths are drawn to scale from a common zero, so the picture is the price. Lavender Oud's bar is 2.65× Woody Oud's because ₹12.00 per gram is 2.65× ₹4.531 per gram. Every bar is a real CSI 1 kg variant price, September 2026. The ₹7,000-per-gram Hindi oud attar is deliberately absent — it is not a candle fragrance oil and would be 1,545 times the length of the Woody Oud bar.
What does 1 kg of oud fragrance oil cost in India, and which one should you buy?
There is no one answer, because oud is a scent family at CSI, not a product. Seven separate oils carry the word. Woody Oud is ₹4,531.20 per kg, Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691, Royal Oud ₹6,400, Regal Royal Oud ₹6,500, White Royal Oud ₹8,103, Amber Oud Royal ₹11,640 and Lavender Oud ₹12,000. The dearest kilogram costs ₹7,468.80 more than the cheapest for the same weight of oil. If you are building an oud candle for volume, buy Woody Oud: it is the lowest per gram, it ships in a ₹93.22 15 g trial size, and it is the only oud on the store with published buyer reviews. If you are building a gifting or wedding line where the scent name is part of the price, the Royal oils are the tier for it — but prove the scent on a 100 g pack first, because four of the seven have no 15 g or 50 g variant and 100 g is the smallest honest test. Full cost-per-candle arithmetic is in the yield table, and the volume planning guide covers how much you actually need.
One line: name the oil, not the note — Woody Oud at ₹4,531.20 and Lavender Oud at ₹12,000 are both "1 kg of oud", and the gap is ₹7,468.80.
Start with the trial size, not the kilogram. Woody Oud 15 g is ₹93.22 and 100 g is ₹453.12 — roughly six 200 g candles at an 8% load. That is enough to run a cure test and a wick test before ₹4,531.20 leaves your account.
All seven ouds, cheapest first, with every pack size
One scent name. Seven products. A 2.65× spread from top to bottom. This is the table the order form should have been built from.
Oud is the most confusing shelf in the CSI fragrance range, for a structural reason rather than a marketing one. Seven separate oils carry the word, they sit in four clearly different price tiers, and four of the seven do not ship in the small sizes the other three do. A buyer who types "1 kg oud" into a search bar and orders the first result is not choosing a price — they are accepting one. Below is every oud CSI lists, ordered by cost per gram at the kilogram.
CSI oud fragrance oils · live pricing, September 2026
Cheapest to dearest by rupees per gram at 1 kg — every variant CSI actually stocks
Read the dashes. Four of the seven — Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, Amber Oud Royal and Lavender Oud — have no 15 g and no 50 g variant; their smallest pack is 100 g. Only Woody Oud (₹93.22), Dark Vanilla Oud (₹105.02) and White Royal Oud (₹130.00) can be sampled at 15 g. If a rate card offers you "15 g of Royal Oud", that pack does not exist.
The headline number is the spread. ₹12,000 ÷ ₹4,531.20 = 2.65. Lavender Oud costs 2.65 times what Woody Oud costs for an identical kilogram, and the absolute gap is ₹7,468.80. That is not a rounding difference between two grades of the same material; it is the difference between two entirely separate compositions that happen to share a word. A maker who budgets "about five thousand for a kilo of oud" and then orders Lavender Oud is short by more than the price of a second kilogram of Woody Oud, plus change.
The one listing to keep out of your costings entirely. CSI lists a pure Hindi oud oil at ₹7,000 for 1 gram. That is an attar — a finished, wearable perfume oil — and it is not a candle fragrance oil. It surfaces in oud searches and has no business in a candle bill of materials. At ₹7,000 per gram it is roughly 1,545 times the per-gram cost of Woody Oud, and the 16 g that goes into one 200 g candle at an 8% load would cost ₹112,000. It is excluded from every comparison, average and per-candle figure on this page. If you want oud in a candle, buy one of the seven above.

Woody Oud Fragrance Oil
The oud to build a sellable range on. It is the cheapest of the seven at every size, it is the only oud in the catalogue with published buyer reviews, and it carries the resinous, low-volatility character that makes oud candles read as strong in soy. It is also the only oud that ships in all five pack sizes, which matters more than it sounds: you can test at ₹93.22 and scale to ₹4,531.20 without changing product.

Royal Oud — The Epitome of Refined Luxury
The first step into the Royal line, and the oud whose name most often gets typed when someone means something else. Its ladder starts at 100 g, so ₹699 is the cheapest possible way to hold it in your hand. Note that the per-gram price falls as the pack grows here, which is not true of Woody Oud — ₹6.99 at 100 g, ₹6.60 at 500 g, ₹6.40 at 1 kg.

Lavender Oud — Calm Meets Kingdom
The dearest oud CSI stocks, and the one that makes the case for reading a variant table before ordering. Its 500 g pack is ₹12.40 per gram — dearer per gram than both the 100 g pack and the kilogram, which are each ₹12.00. Five 100 g packs come to ₹6,000 for the same 500 g the single pack charges ₹6,200 for. That is a genuine ₹200 saving for buying the smaller unit, and we would rather you knew.

Royal Oud is not Regal Royal Oud, and at 100 g the price cannot tell them apart
These are the two most easily confused products in the cluster. Royal Oud and Regal Royal Oud are separate oils — not two names for one product, and not two grades of one product. Their prices sit ₹100 apart at the kilogram, ₹6,400 against ₹6,500, and at every smaller size they are within a rupee of each other.

Three consequences follow. First, price cannot identify which one you are looking at — at 100 g they are the same ₹699 to the rupee. Check the product title and the URL handle, royal-oud-the-epitome-of-refined-luxury and regal-royal-oud. Second, if you have already built a candle on one, reorder from your invoice, not from memory: a substituted oil will not match the candle your customer bought last month. Third, the cheapest way to try either is 100 g at ₹699, since neither has a 15 g or 50 g variant. Buy both, pour them side by side in identical jars, and decide on evidence — ₹1,398 is the cheapest insurance on this page.
There is no pack above 1 kg
CSI's fragrance-oil variant ladder tops out at 1 kg. There is no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg oud pack anywhere in the catalogue, and anyone quoting you one is not quoting a CSI SKU. If you need 5 kg of Woody Oud the honest arithmetic is 5 × ₹4,531.20 = ₹22,656, and 10 kg is ₹45,312. The website price does not fall automatically above a kilogram. At that volume, message the number at the foot of this page and ask for a quote rather than assuming a slab exists — CSI has published no discount, rate or minimum order quantity above 1 kg.
Which oud kilograms actually save money, and which save nothing at all
The dearer Royal-line ouds have real volume breaks. The cheap volume oud has none. That is the opposite of what most buyers assume, and it is worth knowing before you round up your order.
A kilogram is not automatically a discount. On CSI's oud range it is sometimes a genuine saving, sometimes exactly nothing, and on one oil it is a rupee worse than buying twice as small. The only way to know is to multiply the smaller pack out and compare, which is what the next table does for all seven.
Look at the shape of that. The four oils where the kilogram genuinely saves money are the four dearest in the Royal line. The volume oud — Woody Oud, the one a business would actually buy by the kilo — saves nothing, and White Royal Oud's kilogram is a rupee worse than two 500 g packs. The largest saving in the set, Lavender Oud's ₹400, is 3.2% of the ₹12,400 you would otherwise pay. On Woody Oud it is 0%. That is the opposite of the "buy bigger, pay less" instinct most buyers bring to a supplier's website.

Two results here are worth acting on.Woody Oud is flat at ₹4.5312 per gram from 100 g upwards — the 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg packs are all the same rate, so there is no price reason to commit to the kilogram. Buy it so you do not run out mid-batch, not because it is cheaper, because it is not. And Lavender Oud at 100 g is ₹12.00 per gram against ₹12.40 at 500 g: five 100 g packs cost ₹6,000 against ₹6,200 for a single 500 g pack. On this one oil the small pack is the better buy by ₹200.
The CSI principle
Multiply the small pack out before you buy the big one. On four of our seven ouds that arithmetic tells you to stay small.
A kilogram is a stock-cover decision far more often than it is a pricing decision. Buy it when running out mid-pour would cost you a delivery date, not because the word "bulk" implies a discount that the variant table does not contain.
What a kilogram of oud actually makes, and what it costs per candle
Fragrance load at CSI is a percentage of total finished candle weight, not of the wax: a 200 g candle at 8% is 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax. Get that convention wrong and every number below moves, which is why the volume planning guide labours it. The table runs four candle weights against three loads, then prices the fragrance line at both ends of the oud range.

Before you use the 13% rows: 13% is the stated maximum for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks only. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is rated up to 10%, so those rows do not apply to it. These are formulation limits set by the wax manufacturer — the most oil that wax is made to hold in solution — not regulatory limits. Work to the figure on the wax you bought.
Take the middle row. On a 200 g candle at 8% the fragrance line is ₹72.50 with Woody Oud and ₹192.00 with Lavender Oud — a difference of ₹119.50 on every candle. Across the 62 candles a kilogram makes, that is ₹7,409, almost the whole ₹7,468.80 gap between the two kilograms. The arithmetic closes: the difference at the top of the invoice reappears, spread across the units. Nothing absorbs it. If your retail price does not move, your margin does.
1
How many candles a month justify a kilogram of Woody Oud?Set the rule as: a kilogram should turn over inside three months, because oil on a shelf is money not working. At a 200 g candle and an 8% load — 16 g a candle — one kilogram is 62 candles. Divide by three and the threshold is 21 oud candles a month. Below that, buy 100 g packs at ₹453.12; the per-gram rate is identical, so you lose nothing.
2
And a kilogram of Lavender Oud?A kilogram is still 62 candles — weight does not care about price. What changes is the cash standing still: ₹12,000 instead of ₹4,531.20 for the same number of pours. To tie up no more money-months of stock than the Woody Oud kilogram, it has to clear in 4,531.20 ÷ 12,000 × 3 = 1.13 months, which means about 55 oud candles a month. Under that, buy 100 g at ₹1,200 — the same ₹12.00 per gram as the kilogram.
3
What the two numbers mean together21 candles a month against 55. The dearer oud needs roughly two and a half times the throughput before a kilogram of it makes commercial sense, and that is a consequence of the price, not the scent. Most Indian candle businesses pouring an oud line for Diwali and wedding season are past 21 a month and short of 55. That is the practical reason the volume oud is Woody Oud.
Working back from Diwali on 8 November 2026, an oud line needs its fragrance decided early enough to pour, cure and pack without compressing the cure. Bulk quotes, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation are all handled directly on WhatsApp.
A full 200 g candle bill of materials, on two different ouds
Fragrance cost per candle is only meaningful next to everything else in the jar. Below is a complete 200 g container candle costed from live CSI pricing — wax, jar, wick, wick sticker and care sticker — built twice: once on Woody Oud and once on Amber Oud Royal. Same jar, same wax, same wick, same labour. Only the fragrance line changes.
200 g container candle at 8% load · 16 g oil, 184 g wax
Every non-fragrance line is identical. Watch the fragrance percentage move.
That is the whole argument of this page in two columns. On Build A, fragrance is 32.2% of materials and the wax is still the largest line at ₹110.22 — a normal costing where no ingredient dominates. On Build B, fragrance is 55.0%: 16 g of Amber Oud Royal costs ₹186.24, more than the wax, jar, wick and both stickers put together (₹152.49) by ₹33.75. The oil has stopped being an ingredient and become the product. Across a 100-unit batch the swap adds ₹11,374 and changes nothing else about the candle.
The advice that costs us money, and is still correct. If you are launching an oud candle, buy 100 g of Woody Oud for ₹453.12. Pour six 200 g candles at 8%, cure them properly, and put them in front of paying customers before you commit ₹12,000 to a kilogram of Lavender Oud. We would rather sell you the kilogram. We are telling you not to buy it yet, for three reasons. One: nothing about an oud's price predicts how it sells, and the only oud here with published buyer reviews is the cheapest one. Two: a candle costing ₹338.73 in materials needs a retail price that supports it, which is a decision for sales data rather than optimism — the 2026 pricing guide works it through. Three: a kilogram is 62 units at 8% in a 200 g candle, so an unproven kilogram is 62 candles of committed inventory in one scent. ₹453.12 buys the answer for 3.8% of the ₹12,000 outlay.
Nobody has ever proved a fragrance sells by paying more for it. They proved it by pouring six candles and watching what happened.
— CandleMakingSuppliesIndia
One more point, because it gets assumed rather than tested: the dearest oud is not automatically the one that sells best, and there is no evidence on this store that it is. What an oil's price does reliably set is your cost floor, and therefore the retail price you must defend. A candle at ₹224.99 of materials and one at ₹338.73 compete in different brackets whether you intended that or not. Decide the bracket first, then pick the oil — premium versus cheap fragrance oils and how premium brands buy fragrance wholesale both cover the trade-off.
Storage, shelf life, documentation and how to order
Buying a kilogram changes how you have to look after it, and oud oils are heavy, resinous compositions that reward decent storage. CSI publishes no shelf-life figure for its fragrance oils, so this page does not invent one. If you need a batch-specific date or specification for a wholesale customer, ask on WhatsApp and it will be supplied where it exists. What follows is ordinary good practice, not a manufacturer claim.
1
Keep it closed, cool and darkFragrance oils degrade through contact with air, heat and light, roughly in that order. Keep the bottle tightly capped, out of direct sunlight and away from a window that catches the afternoon sun, and do not leave it standing next to a wax melter. An Indian summer storeroom at 40°C is a harder environment than the oil needs.
2
Decant, do not dipPour what you need into a weighing container and cap the bottle immediately, rather than leaving a kilogram open across a two-hour pouring session. A weighing scale at ₹354 makes that practical, and it is the only way to hit a load percentage repeatably — load is a weight percentage and oils differ in density, so millilitres will not give you the same candle twice.
3
Buy to a pouring schedule, not to a budgetA kilogram you will pour across six weeks is a sensible purchase. A kilogram bought because it looked like the bulk option, then opened four times a year, is a depreciating asset. Work your monthly oud volume out of the yield table and buy the pack that matches — 21 candles a month for Woody Oud, about 55 for Lavender Oud.
4
Get the paperwork with the first order, not the fifthCSI issues a GST invoice on every order, and MSDS and IFRA documentation is available on request. Ask for it when you place the order that goes into a retail range, not when a stockist asks you for it three months later. Message +91 7397976926 on WhatsApp with the product names you are buying.
Ordering above a kilogram
The largest fragrance-oil pack CSI sells is 1 kg. Above that you are buying multiples — 3 kg of Woody Oud is 3 × ₹4,531.20 = ₹13,593.60 at website pricing, and the cart does not discount it automatically. If you are ordering at that level, send the product names and quantities to +91 7397976926 and ask what is possible. No rate, slab, minimum or credit term is published, so treat anything you have been told elsewhere as unverified until it is in writing from CSI.
Why trust this guide
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA sells raw materials, not finished candles. On a page about oud that matters, because the commercially attractive move would be to point every reader at Amber Oud Royal and Lavender Oud, where the kilogram invoice is 2.57 to 2.65 times larger. Instead this page names Woody Oud as the volume oud, says plainly that its kilogram carries no discount, and recommends a ₹453.12 test order before any kilogram. A maker who over-commits on an unproven fragrance stops reordering, and that costs us more than a larger first invoice earns.
Every price here is a live CSI variant price pulled in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing and specification take precedence. All seven ouds are listed with their full stocked ladder, gaps included: four have no 15 g and no 50 g variant, and no price is quoted for a pack CSI does not sell. The load figures of up to 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and up to 10% for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 are the wax manufacturer's stated formulation limits — how much oil that wax is made to hold — not regulatory limits.
No shelf-life period, certification, test result or delivery time is claimed anywhere on this page, because CSI has published none for these oils. For bulk quotes, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation, or help matching an oud to a wax and a jar size, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.
Frequently asked questions
How much does 1 kg of oud fragrance oil cost in India?
Which oud fragrance oil is best for a candle business buying in bulk?
Woody Oud, on the evidence available. It is the cheapest of the seven at every pack size (₹4.531 per gram at 1 kg), the only oud that ships in all five sizes from 15 g to 1 kg, and the only oud on the store with published buyer reviews — two of them, both recorded as verified. That does not make it the best-smelling oud for your range; it makes it the one you can test cheaply and scale without switching product. Prove it on 100 g at ₹453.12 first.
Is buying 1 kg cheaper than buying two 500 g packs?
Only on four of the seven, and never by much. Lavender Oud's kilogram saves ₹400 against two 500 g packs, Amber Oud Royal's ₹358, Royal Oud's ₹200 and Regal Royal Oud's ₹98. Woody Oud's saves exactly ₹0, and the kilograms of Dark Vanilla Oud and White Royal Oud are each ₹1 dearer. The biggest saving in the set, ₹400, is 3.2% of the ₹12,400 alternative. Buy the kilogram for stock cover, not for a discount that mostly is not there.
What is the difference between Royal Oud and Regal Royal Oud?
They are two separate oils, not two names for one product. At 100 g they cost exactly the same — ₹699 each — so price cannot tell them apart. At 500 g Regal Royal Oud is ₹1 cheaper (₹3,299 against ₹3,300); at 1 kg it is ₹100 dearer (₹6,500 against ₹6,400). Neither has a 15 g or 50 g variant, so compare them by buying 100 g of each for ₹1,398. Reorder from the product title and URL handle, not the price.
Why is there a 1 g oud oil listed at ₹7,000? Can I use it in candles?
No. That listing is a pure Hindi oud attar — a finished perfume oil meant to be worn — and it is not a candle fragrance oil. At ₹7,000 per gram it is roughly 1,545 times the per-gram cost of Woody Oud, and the 16 g a 200 g candle needs at an 8% load would cost ₹112,000 of material. It is excluded from every comparison, average and per-candle figure on this page. For candles, buy one of the seven candle fragrance oils listed above.
How many candles does 1 kg of oud fragrance oil make?
Load is a percentage of total finished candle weight, so a 200 g candle at 8% takes 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax. One kilogram therefore makes 62 candles of 200 g at 8%, 50 at 10% and 38 at 13%. Smaller candles go further: 125 of 100 g at 8%, or 83 of 150 g at 8%. Note that 13% is the stated ceiling for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks only — CSI 464 is rated up to 10%. Both are formulation limits set by the wax maker, not regulatory limits.
Does CSI sell a 5 kg or 10 kg pack of oud fragrance oil?
No. The largest fragrance-oil pack in the catalogue is 1 kg, across all 92 oils. Above that you are buying multiples of the kilogram: 5 kg of Woody Oud is 5 × ₹4,531.20 = ₹22,656 and 10 kg is ₹45,312 at website pricing, which does not fall automatically with quantity. If you are ordering at that volume, send your product names and quantities to +91 7397976926 on WhatsApp and ask for a quote. No discount, rate, slab, minimum order quantity or credit term is published.

The remaining three are Reena Bagal (5★, October 2025) on Sandalwood Fragrance Oil, Urvashi Patel (4★, August 2026) on Sacred Sandal Ember and Sraddha (5★, March 2025) on Gardenia Fragrance Oil — all verified buyers, none of them oud reviews, included as the nearest woody and concentration-related feedback on record. Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, White Royal Oud, Amber Oud Royal and Lavender Oud have no published reviews, and none has been written for them. Sraddha's review is shortened with an ellipsis; all other wording is unedited. No city or location is shown, because Judge.me does not store one.
