Quick answers — read this first
What does it cost to make 500 candles a month? At a 150 g soy fill with an 8% fragrance load, ₹1,01,852.00 of CSI materials a month — 75 kg of wax, 6 kg of fragrance oil, 500 wicks, 500 vessels and 500 of each sticker. That is ₹203.70 a candle, the same figure as at 100 candles a month. Cartons, labels, courier and your own hours are not CSI costs and carry no figure here.

Do raw materials get cheaper when you scale to 500 candles a month? Barely. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is ₹507.40 a kilo at 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg alike; Eco Candle Wicks are ₹5.90 each at every pack; Black Glossy Glass Jars are ₹70.80 each at both listed packs. The two real gains are whole-kilo fragrance buying, which removes a ₹207.20 monthly odd-lot penalty, and the larger care-label roll.

What stops most candle makers scaling past 200 a month? Working capital, not demand. Materials are paid at the start of a cycle that includes a 14 to 21 day cure, so every extra hundred candles of monthly output needs ₹20,370.40 more material cash, permanently. At 500 candles with one month of cover you are holding ₹2,03,704.00 of materials at all times.

What equipment do I need to make 500 candles a month? Melt capacity first, then accuracy. A Mini Electric Wax Melter at ₹2,360.00, a Steel Pouring Pitcher at ₹708.00, a Pen Thermometer at ₹354.00 and wick-setting tools. The full bench set on this page is ₹6,314.82 once — and none of it belongs in your cost per candle.
The short answer
The bill, not the rate: 500 candles a month is 75 kg of wax, 6 kg of fragrance and 500 vessels — ₹1,01,852.00 of CSI materials — at the same ₹203.70 a candle you were paying at 100.
The step is cash and space: ₹81,481.60 more material cash every month, paid before the candles sell, plus a cure shelf that can hold several hundred jars at once through a 14 to 21 day cure.
The honest limit: CSI can price wax, fragrance, wicks, vessels and finishing exactly. Cartons, mailers, printed labels, courier, labour and electricity are neither sold nor published here, so they stay blank rows throughout.

A 500-candle month of materials at listed CSI rates, September 2026: a 150 g fill of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 with Mango Coconut Fragrance Oil at 8% of wax weight, an Eco Candle Wick Thin (C1), a wick sticker, a Black Glossy Glass Jar and a care label — ₹203.70 a candle and ₹1,01,852.00 a month. Wax and glass together are roughly seven rupees in every ten, which is why storage and breakage matter more at this step than any rate negotiation. The dashed row is deliberately empty: outer cartons, printed labels, courier and labour are not sold or published by CSI and no figure is invented for them anywhere on this page.
Straight answer
What actually changes when a candle business goes from 100 to 500 candles a month?
Three things multiply and one thing does not. The materials multiply: 500 candles at a 150 g fill is 75 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, 6 kg of Mango Coconut Fragrance Oil at 8% of wax weight, 500 Eco Candle Wicks, 500 Black Glossy Glass Jars and 500 of each sticker — ₹1,01,852.00 a month against ₹20,370.40 at a hundred. The cash multiplies, and it is due earlier than the revenue: ₹81,481.60 more every month, held through a 14 to 21 day cure before anything is invoiced, and ₹2,03,704.00 if you also carry a month of cover. The space multiplies: eight wax packs, six kilos of fragrance in glass, fifty boxes of jars and a rolling population of curing candles that can reach several hundred when two pour days overlap — all of which in India has to be cool, dry and out of the sun. What does not change is the cost per candle. It is ₹203.70 at both outputs, because CSI 464 is ₹507.40 a kilo at 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg alike, Eco wicks are ₹5.90 each at every pack from ten to a thousand, and this jar class is ₹70.80 each at both listed packs. The only real per-unit gains at this step are whole-kilo fragrance buying, which removes an odd-lot penalty worth ₹207.20 a month at a hundred candles, and the larger care-label roll at ₹0.70 against ₹0.83. So the honest plan is not a procurement plan, it is an operations plan: consolidate into two pour days a week of 60 to 70 candles, buy melt capacity before you promise output, weigh the whole day's fragrance before the first melt, keep the cure at 14 to 21 days even when a dispatch date argues otherwise, and step the output across three months rather than one. And every figure here is a materials figure — outer cartons, printed labels, courier, electricity and your own hours are not sold or published by CSI and carry no number on this page.
One line: 500 candles a month is 75 kg of wax and ₹1,01,852.00 of materials at the same ₹203.70 a candle as 100 — the step is ₹81,481.60 of cash a month, melt capacity and cure space.
Stepping up this quarter? The candle costed here is six live lines: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 ₹507.40 a kilo, Mango Coconut Fragrance Oil ₹3.96 a gram at 1 kg, Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) ₹5.90 each, Candle Wick Stickers ₹2.50 each, Black Glossy Glass Jar ₹70.80 each at 10 and Candle Care Stickers ₹0.83 each at 500.

What 500 a month actually is, in kilos and rupees

Five times the candles is five times the shopping list and none of the discount most makers are expecting.

Start with the physical facts, because they are the ones that decide whether the step is possible. Five hundred candles at a 150 g fill is 75 kg of wax a month. At 8% of wax weight that is 6 kg of fragrance oil. It is 500 wicks, 500 wick stickers, 500 vessels and 500 care labels. At listed CSI rates that comes to ₹1,01,852.00 of materials a month, against ₹20,370.40 at a hundred candles.

Now the part that surprises people: the cost per candle does not move. It is ₹203.70 at a hundred candles and ₹203.70 at five hundred, because the lines that matter most do not step with pack size. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is ₹507.40 a kilo at 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg alike. Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) are ₹5.90 each whether you buy ten or a thousand. Black Glossy Glass Jars are ₹70.80 each at both listed packs. The only genuine per-unit improvements available at this step are on fragrance, where buying whole kilos ends the odd-lot penalty, and on care labels, where the larger roll is ₹0.70 each against ₹0.83.

So the step from 100 to 500 is not a cost-reduction exercise. It is a cash, capacity and space exercise. The bill rises by ₹81,481.60 a month and every rupee of it leaves your account before a single one of those candles is sold. That is the real subject of this page.

Pack quantities round up to whole packs and make no allowance for residue or rejects. Outer packaging, courier, labour and electricity are not CSI costs and carry no figure.

Cash is what stops most makers at 200

Capacity is a solvable problem. Working capital is the one that quietly decides the ceiling.

The reason most Indian home candle brands plateau somewhere between 150 and 250 candles a month is rarely skill and rarely demand. It is that materials are paid for at the start of the cycle and revenue arrives at the end of it, and a soy candle adds a 14 to 21 day cure between the two. At 500 candles a month you are holding ₹1,01,852.00 of materials in some form at all times, and if you also hold a month of cover — which is the minimum that stops a festive run collapsing — you are holding ₹2,03,704.00.

100 to 500 +60 kg +4.8 kg +₹81,481.60 +₹1,62,963.20 The whole step
Basis: ₹203.70 of CSI materials per 150 g candle at the prices listed above, September 2026. "One month of cover" means a second month's materials on the shelf, which is an assumption about how deep you choose to buy and not a CSI recommendation. Labour, packaging, courier and every other cost outside the six material lines is excluded and carries no figure, so treat these as materials cash, not as the working capital the business actually needs.

Read the last column. Each hundred candles of extra monthly output costs ₹20,370.40 of additional material cash, every month, permanently. That is the number to test a growth plan against before you test it against demand. If a maker at 200 candles wants 500 by Diwali, the honest question is not whether they can pour 500 — it is whether ₹61,111.20 of extra material cash exists, on top of the stock they already hold, in the eight weeks before the pour date.

Buying three months deep in the month you step up. The advice to buy in bulk and the advice to scale output arrive at the same time, and a maker does both at once: 500 candles of output plus three months of cover is ₹3,05,556.00 of materials in a single fortnight. The cash runs out somewhere around the jars, the order goes in short, and the month is poured with a scent missing. The fix is to separate the two decisions. Step the output first at one month of cover, run it for a full cycle, and only then decide whether deeper buying is worth the cash — and remember that on wax, wicks and this jar class the per-unit rate does not improve with depth anyway.

The purchase changes, line by line

Four lines change how you buy them at 500. Two do not change at all, and it is worth knowing which.

Wax: bigger packs, same rate

Seventy-five kilos a month is seven 10 kg packs plus a 5 kg, and that costs exactly the same as seventy-five separate kilos would: ₹38,055.00. What the bigger packs buy you is fewer things to open, fewer part-bags to reseal and fewer chances to run out mid-pour. The CSI 464 page states a 60-month shelf life in cool, dry storage and asks that the wax be kept away from sunlight and moisture, which in an Indian summer is a real instruction rather than a formality. Quantities beyond the largest listed pack are quoted on WhatsApp; nothing above 10 kg is published.

Fragrance: the odd lot disappears

This is the one line where the step genuinely improves your rate, and it does so indirectly. At a hundred candles you need 1.2 kg of oil a month — a kilo plus two 100 gm packs, which is ₹4,964.00 at an effective ₹4.14 a gram against the kilo rate of ₹3.96. That odd lot costs ₹207.20 a month for no benefit. At five hundred candles you need six whole kilos, ₹23,784.00, and the effective rate and the listed rate are the same number. The discipline that comes with it: at 500 candles a month, a scent that cannot justify a whole kilo across a season probably should not be in the permanent range at all.

Wicks and vessels: no step, so buy for cover

Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) are ₹5.90 each at ten, at a hundred, at five hundred and at a thousand. Black Glossy Glass Jars are ₹70.80 each at both listed packs, and the same is true across most of CSI's 150 g glass class — the White Matte Glass Jar and the Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid at ₹94.40 each are listed at one rate across their packs too. Buying the larger pack here does not save you a rupee. It saves you a stockout, which at 500 candles a month is worth considerably more than a rupee — but call it what it is, and do not put it in the cost column.

Finishing: the one small win to take

Care labels are the only finishing line with a published step. The 500 roll is ₹0.83 each and the 1,000 roll is ₹0.70 — ₹0.13 a candle, ₹63.50 a month at 500 candles, and a roll that now lasts two months rather than five. It is small money. It is also one line on one order, and at this output it makes sense to take every one of those before doing anything harder.

The CSI principle
Scaling does not make materials cheaper. It makes them heavier, and it makes them due earlier.
The same candle costs ₹203.70 at 100 a month and ₹203.70 at 500. What changes is ₹81,481.60 more cash a month, 60 kg more wax to store and a cure shelf that has to hold five times as many jars.

Batch rhythm: from pouring when you feel like it to pour days

A hundred candles fits around a life. Five hundred needs a timetable.

At a hundred candles a month you can pour when there is an hour free. At five hundred that habit fails for a reason that has nothing to do with effort: every changeover between scents costs a clean-down and leaves scented wax behind, and a bench that is being set up and packed away four times a week never produces a full day's output. The change is to consolidate into pour days, with one scent per melt and as many melts in a session as your capacity allows.

1
Fix the day, then fix the scent order. Two pour days a week, each carrying 60 to 70 candles, gets you to 500 in a month with a week of slack for the things that go wrong. Order the scents lightest to heaviest within a day — citrus and floral before gourmand and oud — so that the clean-down between them is a rinse rather than a scrub. The heavy scent last also means the lingering smell in the room is the one you finish on, which matters when you are judging cold throw at the end of the day.
2
Weigh everything for the whole day before you heat anything. Wax into labelled batches, oil weighed into separate containers at 8% of each batch's wax weight, wicks and stickers counted out per scent. At 500 candles a month the weighing is the step that goes wrong, not the pouring, because it is the step that gets rushed. A scale that reads to 1 g is not optional at this volume; CSI lists a Candle Making Weighing Scale at ₹354.00, thinly stocked at the moment, so check the page before planning around it.
3
Wick and set the jars the day before. Sticker and centre 70 jars in a single sitting while you are watching something, not while wax is cooling in a pitcher. A Wick Centering Device is ₹118.00 and a Steel Wick Holder is ₹50.00 each at ten. Five of those at 100 candles is a convenience; ten of them at 500 is the difference between a pour day that ends at six and one that ends at ten.
4
Label the batch, not the candle. Every melt gets a number, and the number records the scent, the grade, the load, the pour temperature, the room temperature and the date. Write it on a sheet and on a slip that stays with the candles through the cure. When a customer reports a problem three weeks later, the batch number is the difference between fixing one fault and re-testing your whole range.

The arithmetic that makes this work is capacity per melt. The Mini Electric Wax Melter is published as a 1 litre unit with 300 W and 600 W modes, so the only reliable way to turn it into a batch size is to weigh what your own vessel actually holds of your own wax and divide 75 kg by it. Do that before you promise anyone a 500-candle month: if the answer is a large number of small melts, the ceiling is the machine and no amount of scheduling will move it.

POUR 10% MORE OF YOUR TOP SCENT THAN YOU PLANNED
At 500 candles a month, the scent that sells out is always the one you poured to plan, and re-running a single scent costs you a whole changeover for a handful of candles. Carry a deliberate overage on your best seller and let it absorb the rejects and the samples. It costs ₹10,185.20 of materials on 50 extra candles at this build, and it removes the most common reason a small brand runs an emergency pour in the third week of October.
Scaling into Diwali? Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November 2026, and with a 14 to 21 day cure plus courier time a 500-candle festive run belongs in the pour diary by mid-October — which puts the 75 kg of wax and 6 kg of fragrance on an order in early October at the latest. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 runs 500 g to 10 kg, Mango Coconut Fragrance Oil 15 gm to 1 kg, and quantities beyond the listed packs are quoted on WhatsApp.

The equipment that buys back the month

None of this is a cost of goods. All of it is hours, and hours are what run out at 500.

Equipment does not belong in your per-candle cost, and putting it there is how a maker convinces themselves that their first fifty candles were a disaster and their five hundredth was a miracle. Judge these purchases on two things instead: hours saved per pour day, and wax not left behind. The full list below is ₹6,314.82 once — less than 6% of a single month's materials at 500 candles, and it is bought once rather than every month.

Mini Electric Wax Melter
The purchase that decides your batch size, and therefore your pour-day output. The page publishes it as a 1 litre unit with 300 W and 600 W modes. Mohabatti Ki Dukaan, reviewing it, calls it "Highly recommended for candle making. Convenient to use." What it changes at this volume is not comfort but arithmetic: a melt you can hold at temperature while you pour is a melt that fills more jars before the wax gets too cool, and it is the difference between 20 candles a session and 60. Weigh what it holds of your own wax before you plan a month around it.

Steel Pouring Pitcher
A 600 ML steel pitcher with a spout that stops is worth more at 500 candles a month than at 100, for an unglamorous reason: the wax you dribble down the outside of a jar is wax you paid for and then had to clean off. Pair it with a Pen Thermometer at ₹354.00 so that the pour temperature is a number rather than a guess — at five pour days a month the drift between a hot pour and a cool one is what makes a range look inconsistent. A Steel Scraper at ₹236.00 and a Silicone Spatula at ₹175.82 finish the set and get the residue out of the vessel.

Eco Candle Wicks
Included here as the honest counterweight to everything else on the page. Eco Candle Wicks are cotton and paper fibres, made for natural waxes, and the Thin (C1) is ₹5.90 each at every single pack size CSI lists. There is no volume rate to chase and this page will not invent one. What the bigger pack buys at 500 candles a month is cover: 500 wicks is exactly one month with nothing spare, so the pack you want is the one that carries you past the month you are pouring. Ashwini's review reads simply "Quality wick, works very well"; Subhankar Roy's, at four stars, adds "if possible delivery date would be try little bit quick please", which is a fair reminder to order before you are empty rather than after.

Two more things belong on the bench at this volume and neither is glamorous. A Wick Setting Tool at ₹399.00 and a pack of Bamboo Stirring Sticks at ₹1,062.00 for fifty — Lalitha Jagan's review of the sticks says they are "quite helpful In mixing the colours and stirring the wax", which at fifty melts a month is fifty stirs you are not doing with a spoon. A heat gun is genuinely useful for surface defects; CSI lists a Hot Air Gun at ₹531.00 but it is down to a single unit, so treat it as something to check rather than to plan around.

Where 75 kg of wax and 500 jars are going to live

The constraint nobody budgets for is floor area, and in India it is floor area at a controlled temperature.

At a hundred candles a month, materials live in a cupboard and curing candles live on the dining table. At five hundred, neither is true. You are storing eight wax packs, six kilos of fragrance in glass, fifty packs of jars and a rolling population of curing candles that can reach several hundred at once when a 14 to 21 day cure overlaps two pour days. That is a room, or at minimum a wall of shelving, and it has to be a cool one.

The Indian specifics matter here more than anywhere else on this page. A store room that reaches 40°C in a Delhi or Nagpur May will soften soy in the pack and can distort a cured candle's surface; a Mumbai or Kochi monsoon puts moisture into anything left open. The CSI 464 page states a 60-month shelf life in cool, dry storage and asks for the wax to be kept away from sunlight and moisture, and the CSI 468 page asks for the pack to be kept sealed. Fragrance oil in glass is the most sensitive line you hold and also the most valuable per kilo — ₹23,784.00 of it a month at this output — so it belongs in the darkest, coolest place you have.

Wax 75 kg Seven 10 kg and one 5 kg Off the floor, out of sunlight, sealed; cool and dry as the page asks ₹38,055.00
Fragrance oil 6 kg Six 1 kg Dark, cool, upright, away from heat; the smallest volume and a high value per kilo ₹23,784.00
Vessels 500 jars Fifty Pack of 10 The bulkiest and most fragile line; boxed, low shelves, never stacked more than the carton allows ₹35,400.00
Wicks and stickers 500 of each One 500 wick pack, 13 sticker sheets, one label roll A drawer; keep stickers flat and dry or they stop sticking ₹4,613.00
Curing candles Up to 500 at once — Shelving at a stable temperature, lids off, dust covered, labelled by batch and pour date work in progress
Shelving, racks, crates, a cool room — — Whatever your space needs your figure
Five hundred candles a month is not a bigger hobby. It is a small warehouse with a pouring bench in it.

Where quality slips between 100 and 500

Nothing about the recipe changes. Everything about the number of chances to get it wrong does.

A hundred candles a month is made by a person paying attention to each one. Five hundred is made by a process, and a process fails differently. The three failures that appear at exactly this step are always the same: the load drifts because oil is being weighed in a hurry, the pour temperature drifts because nobody is measuring it on the fourth melt of the day, and the cure gets shortened because an order is late. Each one is invisible in a spreadsheet and obvious in a customer's living room.

Shortening the cure to catch a dispatch date. This is the single most common quality failure at the 500-candle step, because it is the one that feels like a scheduling decision rather than a product decision. A soy container candle's throw keeps developing well past the point where it looks finished — the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page asks for at least 48 hours and says one to two weeks is better, and 14 to 21 days is standard practice for soy container candles. The fix is calendar, not chemistry: move the pour date earlier, and if that is impossible, ship fewer candles rather than younger ones.
Letting the fragrance load drift because the weighing got rushed. At 8% of wax weight, a 150 g fill needs 12 g of oil, and on a fifty-melt month a habit of eyeballing it costs you consistency in both directions — under-scented candles that do not get reordered and over-scented ones that sweat. Weigh the oil for the whole day before the first melt goes on, in labelled containers, one per batch. Both the CSI 464 page and the Mango Coconut page put the ceiling at 10% of total wax weight, and the lower published figure always governs, so there is no headroom to absorb a careless pour.

Three controls handle all of this and none of them costs anything. Write the formula down as grams rather than percentages so nobody has to do arithmetic at the bench. Record the pour temperature for every melt, not every batch. And burn-test one candle from every scent every month, at full cure, in the same room, with the previous month's candle next to it. That last one is the only real defence against slow drift, and it is the first thing a growing brand stops doing.

Walkthrough: the three months you step up

Do not do it in one month. Nobody who has done it successfully did it in one month.
90 days
A three-month step from 100 to 500 candles a month
Month Output Materials to buy What to change What to prove
Month 1 200 candles ₹40,740.80 Move to pour days. Buy the melter (₹2,360.00) and the pitcher (₹708.00). Weigh the day's oil before the first melt. How many candles one pour session actually produces, and how much wax your vessel holds
Month 2 350 candles ₹71,296.40 Two pour days a week. Whole kilos of fragrance only. Cut the range to the scents that can justify a kilo across the season. Whether the cure shelf holds two overlapping pour days without candles being moved while soft
Month 3 500 candles ₹1,01,852.00 Full output, one month of cover behind it (₹2,03,704.00 on the shelf). Care labels on the 1,000 roll. That the candle burning at month three is the same candle as the one from month one
Every month — your figure Cartons, mailers, printed labels, courier and your own hours rise with volume and are not CSI costs That the price you sell at still works once those rise
Basis: ₹203.70 of CSI materials per candle throughout, at the prices listed on this page, September 2026. The 200, 350 and 500 output levels and the one month of cover are an illustrative plan, not a CSI recommendation. Equipment is listed at its live price and is a one-off purchase, not a cost of goods. Cartons, labels, courier and labour are not sold or published by CSI and carry no figure.

The reason for three months rather than one is that every constraint on this page reveals itself at a different output. Cash bites at the order. Melt capacity bites on the first full pour day. Cure space bites in week three, when two pour days overlap and there is nowhere to put the second one. Storage bites when 75 kg of wax and fifty boxes of jars arrive on the same afternoon. Meet them one at a time and each is a solvable afternoon; meet them together in the last week of October and the month is lost. The candle itself does not change: ₹203.70 of materials, the same grade, the same 8% load, the same wick in the same jar. Everything else about the business does.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and the most useful thing this page can tell a maker planning this step is that buying five times as much will not make any of it cheaper. The wax, the wicks and this glass jar class all carry the same published per-unit rate at every listed pack size, and the page says so in three separate places rather than implying a volume saving that does not exist. Where a real step does exist — whole kilos of fragrance instead of odd lots, and the larger care-label roll — it is priced exactly. Equipment is listed at its live price and kept out of the per-candle cost, because putting it there flatters big months and punishes small ones.

Every price is from live CSI stock in September 2026 and the linked product pages are always authoritative. Per-gram, per-kilo and per-unit rates are calculated from the pack variants named beside each figure. Fragrance load is expressed as a percentage of wax weight, the convention CSI's wax pages use: the Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 page states up to 10% of total wax weight and the Mango Coconut page states a candle usage of 6 to 10%, so the two agree at 10% and the 8% used throughout is a working load. The output levels of 100, 200, 300, 350, 400 and 500 candles a month, the one-month cover target, the two pour days a week and the three-month plan are illustrative arithmetic, not CSI recommendations, and no allowance for wastage or rejects is built into the pack quantities. CSI does not publish delivery times, freight rates, minimum orders or bulk discounts, and none is estimated here; quantities beyond the listed packs are quoted on WhatsApp. Store prices are inclusive of tax as stated on the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page, GST invoicing is available, and your own tax position is a question for your adviser rather than for a supplier's blog.

WhatsApp +91 7397976926 with the quantities and dates for a 500-candle month — 75 kg of wax, 6 kg of fragrance, 500 wicks and 500 vessels — for bulk pricing, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation, or to check stock depth on a specific jar or wick before you build a festive run around it.

Frequently asked questions

How much wax do I need for 500 candles a month?
At a 150 g fill, 75 kg a month, which is seven 10 kg packs and a 5 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹38,055.00. Add your own wastage allowance on top — this page builds none into the quantity, because a wastage rate is something you measure rather than something a supplier publishes.
Is it cheaper per candle to make 500 instead of 100?
No, on these lines. The same candle is ₹203.70 of materials at both outputs. CSI 464 is ₹507.40 a kilo from 1 kg upwards, Eco Candle Wicks are ₹5.90 each at every pack size and this jar class is ₹70.80 each at both listed packs. What improves is fragrance, where six whole kilos avoids a ₹207.20 odd-lot penalty, and the care label roll.
How much money do I need to scale a candle business to 500 a month?
For materials alone, ₹1,01,852.00 a month, and ₹2,03,704.00 if you hold a month of cover. That is ₹81,481.60 more than a hundred-candle month and it is committed before the candles are sold. Equipment adds ₹6,314.82 once for the bench set on this page. Packaging, courier, marketing and labour are your own figures and are not included in any of those numbers.
How many pour days does 500 candles a month need?
Two a week carrying 60 to 70 candles each gets you there with a week of slack, but the honest answer depends entirely on your melt capacity. The Mini Electric Wax Melter is published as a 1 litre unit, so weigh what your own vessel holds of your own wax and divide 75 kg by it before you promise anyone a month's output.
Should I buy three months of stock when I scale up?
Not in the same month you raise output. Five hundred candles plus three months of cover is ₹3,05,556.00 of materials in one fortnight, and the cash usually runs out somewhere around the jars. Step the output at one month of cover, run a full cycle, then decide — and remember the per-unit rate on wax, wicks and jars does not improve with depth anyway.
What breaks first when you scale from 100 to 500 candles a month?
Cure space, usually, and it breaks in week three when two pour days overlap and several hundred candles need somewhere stable and cool to sit for 14 to 21 days. Cash bites at the order, melt capacity bites on the first full pour day, and storage bites the afternoon 75 kg of wax and fifty boxes of jars arrive together. Stepping across three months meets them one at a time.
