The net order: 460 kg of wax

The calculation starts where every order in this series starts: with the finished candle. A 100 g candle at 8% holds 8 g of oil and 92 g of wax, because the load is a share of the finished weight. Five thousand of them hold 40 kg of oil and 460 kg of wax. Buying 500 kg of wax because the candles weigh 500 kg over-buys by exactly the weight of the oil, 40 kg, which in beeswax is ₹32,000.00 of stock the order never needed. Per candle that is ₹73.60 of wax, ₹40.21 of oil at Sandalwood's 1 kg rate, ₹9.44 for a Thick C2 wick and ₹47.20 for a Yankee 130 ml jar: ₹170.45 in raw materials, excluding labour, labels, boxes, freight and GST. The jar's 130 ml is its brim volume, not a fill weight; weigh a test pour to confirm 100 g sits where you want it. The Thick C2 wick is an assumption for pricing only. CSI does not publish a wick size per jar diameter, and beeswax is commonly described as needing a different wick from soy in general practice, so the wick has to be tested in this wax and this jar.

What the 5% is 5% of

"Five per cent extra" sounds precise until someone asks: five per cent of what? There are four reasonable readings, and a corporate order is exactly where the difference shows up as a disagreement between the person who quoted and the person who ordered. The table works each one for the wax.

The spread is under a kilogram, so why fuss? Because the reading you choose decides how the safety stock is used. If it is meant to produce 250 replacement candles, it has to survive its own pour: the replacement batch will lose 3% like every other batch. The fourth reading does that automatically and scales with the tests as well. It is also the easiest to audit: one multiplier, 1.05, applied to one number. Where safety stock sits in the stack

Rounding happens to add a little here, 0.525 kg of wax and 80 g of oil, but it must never be counted as part of the safety stock. On another order the rounding could be zero, and a safety stock that depends on how the bags happen to fall is not a policy. Decide the 5% on purpose, calculate it, and let the rounding be whatever it is.

Safety stock for every material, priced

The safety stock adds 5.0% to the raw-material bill, ₹8.82 per delivered candle. On a corporate order that is usually worth it: a single failed batch of 250 candles, rerun from scratch at the last minute, would cost about the same in materials and a great deal more in time. The same kilograms in other CSI waxes

Beeswax is the premium choice here, and it is priced accordingly. A corporate buyer comparing quotes will want to see what the same 500.47 kg costs in CSI's other container waxes. The kilograms do not change with the wax; only the price line and the bag sizes do. Load ceilings differ, though: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks are rated up to 13%, CSI 464 up to 10%, and the others have no ceiling published in this data.

The spread is wide: beeswax costs nearly twice what Natural Soy Pearl Wax costs for the same kilograms, and Natural Soy Pearl is the only CSI wax listed in a 50 kg bag, which makes ten bags instead of fifty. That is a pricing fact, not a performance ranking; each wax behaves differently and needs its own wick and burn tests. If the client has specified beeswax, quote beeswax. Once the run is complete, record the rerun rate you actually needed. If it was 1%, the next corporate order can carry less.
