One ceiling, honestly derived, and a real 200 g soy candle from live stock held up against it — including the answer you may not want.
₹199.50
all your costs below the margin line at an illustrative 50% target · your ₹399.00 price · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What is my maximum raw-material cost at ₹399.00? Take your target gross margin off the price first. At an illustrative 50% target, ₹399.00 leaves ₹199.50 for everything below the line. Then subtract your own packaging and customer-acquisition figures from that — CSI does not sell either, so neither gets a number here — and what remains is your materials ceiling. At a 60% target the room is ₹159.60; at 40% it is ₹239.40.

Does a real 200 g CSI soy candle fit under it? On this combination, no. Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.00/kg, Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil at ₹2.84/g, a Green Iridescent jar with bamboo lid at ₹150.00 and an Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) at ₹5.90 come to ₹281.14 — ₹81.64 over the ₹199.50 ceiling before a box or an advert is paid for.

Which line breaks it? The vessel. Wax, fragrance and wick together are ₹131.14, which leaves ₹68.36 of the ₹199.50 for a container. The ₹150.00 jar is ₹81.64 above that. Swap to a 200ml Salsa Glass Jar at ₹29.50 each in the 50-piece pack and the stack becomes ₹160.64, which clears the ceiling with ₹38.86 to spare — before your packaging and acquisition.

What is the one number I should write down? ₹3.99 of room for every percentage point of target margin. Your ₹399.00 divided by a hundred. Move your target from 50% to 55% and the ceiling falls by ₹19.95; move it to 45% and it rises by the same. It is the fastest way to see what a margin decision costs the candle.
The short answer
₹199.50 of room at an illustrative 50% target: ₹399.00 less the margin you intend to keep. Materials, packaging and customer acquisition all come out of that one figure, so the materials ceiling is ₹199.50 minus your own two numbers.
A real 200 g CSI soy candle is ₹281.14: ₹79.80 of Eco Soy CSI 400, ₹45.44 of Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil at 8% of wax weight, ₹150.00 for the vessel and ₹5.90 for the wick — ₹81.64 over the ceiling on its own.
So the honest answer is no, and the fix is the vessel: Wax, fragrance and wick are ₹131.14 of the ₹199.50. That leaves ₹68.36 for a container, and there are containers on the store well under it.
A 399 rupee selling price with a dashed ceiling line at the room left after an illustrative 50 per cent target gross margin, and a real 200 gram CSI soy candle drawn against it, with and without inbound delivery The ceiling, and a real candle beside itOne rupee scale, 0 to your ₹399.00. The dashed line is what is left after anillustrative 50% target gross margin — your packaging and acquisition come out of it too.WaxFragranceVesselWick and deliveryceiling ₹199.50Room after the target margin₹199.50everything below the margin line: materials + your packaging + your acquisitionA real 200 g CSI candle₹281.14over the ceiling by ₹81.64 before packaging or acquisitionThe same candle, delivered to you₹309.86over by ₹110.36 once inbound delivery is carried inThe 50% target margin is illustrative. Your own target moves the dashed line by ₹3.99 a point.Packaging, labels and advertising are not drawn. They are yours and they sit inside the ceiling.
What it shows: your ₹399.00 selling price as one rupee scale, with a dashed ceiling at ₹199.50 — the room left after an illustrative 50% target gross margin. Below it, a real 200 g CSI soy candle drawn as its four material lines: ₹79.80 of Eco Soy CSI 400, ₹45.44 of Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil at 8% of wax weight, a ₹150.00 vessel and a ₹5.90 wick, totalling ₹281.14. The third bar carries inbound delivery into the same stack. Deliberately left out: your packaging, printed label, outbound courier and advertising, which are not CSI products, carry no figure here and sit inside the same ceiling. The 50% target margin is illustrative, chosen so the arithmetic can be followed; your own target moves the dashed line by ₹3.99 for every percentage point.
Straight answer
What is the most a 200 g soy candle can cost in raw materials if it has to sell at ₹399.00?
Work backwards in one direction only and the arithmetic stays honest. Start at your ₹399.00, which is your figure and is used exactly as you gave it. Take off the gross margin you intend to keep: at an illustrative 50% target that is ₹199.50 of room, and every percentage point you move the target is worth ₹3.99. That room is not the materials budget. It is the budget for materials plus your packaging and plus whatever it costs you to acquire the customer, and CSI sells neither of those, so this page gives them blank rows rather than invented numbers. Your maximum raw-material cost is therefore ₹199.50 minus your own two figures, and the discipline is to write those two figures down before you shop rather than after. Now the test the question is really asking for. A genuine 200 g soy candle from live CSI stock in September 2026 — Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.00 a kilogram, Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil at ₹2.84 a gram, a Green Iridescent jar with bamboo lid at ₹150.00 and an Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) at ₹5.90 — costs ₹281.14. That is 70.46% of your selling price, and it is ₹81.64 above the ₹199.50 ceiling before a single box, label or advert has been paid for. So the answer is no, that particular candle does not fit, and the useful part is where it fails: the wax, the fragrance and the wick together are only ₹131.14, which leaves ₹68.36 for a container against the ₹150.00 the iridescent jar costs. Put a 200ml Salsa Glass Jar at ₹29.50 each in its place and the same candle is ₹160.64, which clears the ceiling with ₹38.86 left for packaging and acquisition. One line, not the whole recipe, is what a ₹399.00 price is arguing with.
One line: ₹199.50 of room at an illustrative 50% target, ₹281.14 for a real 200 g CSI soy candle, and the vessel is the line that decides it.
₹199.50 of room at an illustrative 50% target margin — and a real 200 g CSI soy candle at ₹281.14. Priced on live stock in September 2026: Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.00/kg, Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil at ₹2.84/g in the 500 gm pack, a Green Iridescent jar with bamboo lid at ₹150.00 and an Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) at ₹5.90.

The solve: ₹399.00, one target margin, one ceiling

Price first, then margin, then everything below the line. The order is the method.

You have fixed the price. That is a legitimate way to build a product and it is how most Indian D2C candle brands actually work — the shelf has price points on it, ₹399.00 is one of them, and the candle has to be designed to live there. The arithmetic that follows has exactly one direction. Your price is ₹399.00. Your target gross margin is a decision only you can make. What is left after that margin is the room, and materials are one of three things competing for it.

Room = price × (1 − target margin). At a target of 50% that is ₹399.00 × 0.50 = ₹199.50. That 50% is an illustrative figure, used throughout this page so the arithmetic can be followed end to end; it is not a recommendation and it is not a CSI figure. Substitute your own and every number below moves with it. The rate to remember is ₹3.99 of room per percentage point, which is simply your price divided by a hundred.

Everything that is not gross margin lives inside the room: the wax, the fragrance, the vessel, the wick, the box, the label, the insert, the outbound courier if you absorb it, the payment or marketplace fee, and the advertising spend that found the order. Your question names two of those — packaging and customer acquisition — and asks what is left for materials once they have taken their share. The honest formula, and the only one this page will write, is below.

The ceiling · your ₹399.00
Room at six target gross margins
Target gross margin Gross margin kept Room below the line Maximum raw-material cost
40% ₹159.60 ₹239.40 ₹239.40 − your figure packaging − your figure acquisition
50% (worked on this page, illustrative) ₹199.50 ₹199.50 ₹199.50 − your figure packaging − your figure acquisition
55% ₹219.45 ₹179.55 ₹179.55 − your figure packaging − your figure acquisition
60% ₹239.40 ₹159.60 ₹159.60 − your figure packaging − your figure acquisition
65% ₹259.35 ₹139.65 ₹139.65 − your figure packaging − your figure acquisition
70% ₹279.30 ₹119.70 ₹119.70 − your figure packaging − your figure acquisition
Priced above: your own ₹399.00 selling price, used exactly as given and illustrative as a retail figure — CSI supplies raw materials and does not set retail prices. The six target margins are illustrative steps chosen to show the shape of the solve, not recommendations; the 50% row is the one worked through the rest of this page. The packaging and acquisition columns are deliberately blank and are yours to fill; never put a typical figure in them. Every figure is displayed rounded to the paisa and computed unrounded.
The CSI principle
A price you have already chosen is a budget you have already spent.
₹399.00 at a 50% target leaves ₹199.50 for materials, packaging and finding the customer — all three, not one.

Packaging and acquisition come out of the same room

Two numbers this page will not invent, and the reason it will not.

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA sells wax, fragrance oil, vessels, wicks and a small set of finishing items. It does not sell printed labels, mailer boxes, void fill, ribbon, tissue, outbound courier services or advertising, and it does not publish a figure for any of them. A guess here would be worse than useless, because it would travel straight into a materials ceiling and from there into a shopping decision. So each one gets a blank row below and stays blank.

Inside the room · your figures
What the ceiling has to cover besides materials
Row Why it is blank Per candle
Room at an illustrative 50% target Derived from your ₹399.00 ₹199.50
Outer box, mailer, void fill Not a CSI product − your figure
Printed label, sticker or belly band Not a CSI product − your figure
Tissue, ribbon, insert card Not a CSI product − your figure
Advertising per acquired order Not a CSI product, and the fastest-moving row on this list − your figure
Marketplace or influencer commission Not a CSI product and varies by channel − your figure
Outbound courier, if you absorb it CSI publishes rates for delivering to you, not for your outbound parcels − your figure
Maximum raw-material cost What is left of the room = your figure
Wastage and breakage allowance An assumption, not a measurement — set your own percentage after a full batch − your figure
Priced above: only the ₹199.50 room line, which is your ₹399.00 less an illustrative 50% target gross margin. Every other row is deliberately empty. Total the sheet as materials from CSI plus your own costs, and remember that a blank left as zero is a claim about your business, not a neutral gap.

Customer acquisition deserves its own warning, because it behaves unlike every other row. A box costs what a box costs. Advertising cost per order is an outcome, not a price: it is last month's spend divided by last month's orders, and it can double in a fortnight without anything on your bench changing. If you are going to reserve room for it inside a ₹399.00 price, reserve it from a measured figure across a full month, and re-measure it after every festival push. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November 2026, and the weeks before it are precisely when that number moves most.

Taking the margin off the cost instead of off the price. A 50% margin and a 50% markup are different arithmetic and the difference here is large. Half of ₹399.00 is ₹199.50, which is the margin method and the one this page uses. Adding 50% to a cost of ₹199.50 would give ₹299.25 — a price, not a ceiling, and a different number from the one you started with. Decide which end you are solving from and stay there for the whole sheet.
Treating the ceiling as a shopping target rather than a limit. A ceiling of ₹199.50 does not mean spending ₹199.50 on materials is fine; it means spending more than ₹199.50 on materials, packaging and acquisition together breaks the margin you said you wanted. Every rupee under the ceiling is a rupee of safety against a courier increase, a breakage, or a discount you end up offering in a slow month.

Does a real 200 g CSI soy candle fit under it?

A ceiling is only interesting once something real is held against it.

Here is the candle, priced from live CSI stock in September 2026. The wax is Eco Soy CSI 400, ₹399.00 for the one-kilogram pack, which is ₹399.00 a kilogram; its product page describes it as an all-natural container wax in chunk form, produced in India, needing no additional additives, with fragrance added at 85°C within an 80 to 90°C window and stirred gently for two minutes before pouring, and it recommends Eco Wicks. The fragrance is Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil, ₹1,420.00 for the 500 gm pack, which is ₹2.84 a gram; the page gives a candle usage range of 6–10% of total wax weight for soy and approximately 0% vanillin. The vessel is a Green Iridescent jar with bamboo lid at ₹150.00, and the wick is an Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) at ₹5.90 each.

One note on the load before the money. Eco Soy CSI 400 does not publish a maximum fragrance load — that figure is not on the product page, and rather than estimate it, ask on WhatsApp. The oil page does publish a range, so on this pairing the Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil figure of 6–10% of total wax weight is the only published limit, and 8% sits inside it. Burn test before you commit a batch, as you would at any load.

Which 200 g, and what it is worth

"200 g candle" can mean 200 g of wax or 200 g of finished fill, and a fragrance load is a percentage of wax weight, so the two readings are different candles. This page carries 200 g of wax at 8%, which is 16 g of oil and 216 g in the jar. Read as 200 g of total fill, the wax falls to 185.19 g and the oil to 14.81 g, and the candle costs ₹271.86 instead of ₹281.14 — a difference of ₹9.28, which changes the overshoot from ₹81.64 to ₹72.36 and changes the answer to your question not at all. Say which reading you mean at the top of your own sheet and keep it there.

Live CSI pricing, September 2026, taxes included. Your ₹399.00 selling price is your own figure and the 50% target margin is illustrative. Zero wastage is assumed, which is an assumption rather than a measurement — wax stays in the jug, and your real figure sits above this one.

So: no. On this combination the candle is ₹81.64 over the ceiling, and it is over before packaging and acquisition have taken anything at all. Sold at ₹399.00 it would leave a gross margin of 29.54%, not the 50% the ceiling was built on. Nothing here is wrong with the materials; they are simply a richer specification than a ₹399.00 price supports once you have reserved room for the rest of the business.

A ceiling does not tell you the candle is bad. It tells you which candle the price was expecting.

The lines that do fit: ₹131.14 of wax, fragrance and wick. Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.00/kg · Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil 500 gm ₹1,420.00 (₹2.84/g, page states 6–10% of total wax weight for soy) · Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) ₹5.90 each. That leaves ₹68.36 of the ₹199.50 ceiling for a container.
Shop containers

What would have to change for it to fit

One line is doing most of the damage, and it is not the one people cut first.

Subtract the three lines that are not in dispute. Wax at ₹79.80, fragrance at ₹45.44 and wick at ₹5.90 come to ₹131.14, which against a ₹199.50 ceiling leaves ₹68.36 for a container — and that ₹68.36 is itself before your packaging and acquisition rows take their share. The ₹150.00 vessel is ₹81.64 above it. That is the whole of the problem, stated in one line.

There are containers on the store well under that figure. A 200ml Salsa Glass Jar is ₹29.50 each in the 50-piece pack at ₹1,475.00, against ₹40.12 each in the 5-piece pack — a genuine per-piece step of ₹10.62 between those two packs. Its product page gives a capacity in millilitres rather than grams, so this page will not convert it into a wax weight; fill one with water to your intended wax line, weigh it and multiply by about 0.9 for soy, and you will have your own figure rather than an assumed one. With that vessel in place the same candle is ₹160.64, which clears the ceiling by ₹38.86.

Four ways to close a ₹81.64 gap
What each move is worth, and what it costs you elsewhere
Move Worth per candle Stack becomes The honest catch
Change the vessel to a 200ml Salsa Glass Jar at ₹29.50 ₹120.50 ₹160.64 A different look, and a capacity you must measure yourself
Pour a smaller candle — 150 g of wax instead of 200 g ₹31.31 ₹249.83 A 150 g candle is a different product at ₹399.00, not a cheaper one
Drop the load from 8% to 6% ₹11.36 ₹269.78 6% is the bottom of the range the Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil page publishes for soy; throw is the thing you are spending
Accept a lower target margin ₹3.99 of ceiling per point ₹281.14 unchanged The candle does not get cheaper; you simply decided to keep less
Priced above: Green Iridescent jar with bamboo lid ₹150.00 against 200ml Salsa Glass Jar 50 Pcs ₹1,475.00 (₹29.50 each) and 5 Pcs ₹200.60 (₹40.12 each); Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.00/kg; Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil at ₹2.84/g. Live CSI pricing, September 2026. The 150 g wax weight and the 6% load are illustrative alternatives shown to compare magnitudes, not recommendations, and the scented-wax rate used for the smaller pour is ₹0.63 per gram of wax including its 8% of oil.

Rank those four honestly and the vessel wins by a distance. It is worth ₹120.50 a candle on its own — more than the other three moves combined — and it is the only one that does not change what the customer receives in the burn. Dropping the fragrance load saves ₹11.36 and spends your hot throw, which is the thing a ₹399.00 candle is actually selling. Pouring less wax saves ₹31.31 and quietly makes it a smaller product. Lowering your target margin saves nothing at all; it just moves the line.

MEASURE THE VESSEL BEFORE YOU COST THE CANDLE
Vessel pages differ in what they publish: some give a capacity in grams, some in millilitres, some publish none at all. Never convert millilitres into grams as though it were a published figure, and never assume a candle fits a jar because the numbers look close. Fill the jar with water to the wax line you actually intend, weigh it, multiply by about 0.9 for soy, and cost from that. At ₹0.63 per gram of wax including its 8% of Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil, a 20 g error in your assumed fill is ₹12.52 a candle, in whichever direction you were wrong.

Inbound delivery belongs inside the ceiling test

Materials cost what they cost on your bench, not what they cost on the listing.

A ceiling test that compares a price to a listing price flatters itself. What matters is the landed cost — what the wax and oil cost once they have reached you. CSI charges delivery as published flat rates by weight band, and the weight that bills is the stored packed weight of the variant, not the number on the label. The 5 kg pack of Eco Soy CSI 400 stores 6.0 kg and the 500 gm pack of Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil stores 0.8 kg. As at September 2026 the cheapest published band covering 6.0 kg is ₹630.00 on Standard Shipping, and the cheapest covering 0.8 kg is ₹110.00 on Standard Shipping.

Priced above: Eco Soy CSI 400 5 kg ₹1,996.00 (₹399.20/kg) and Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil 500 gm ₹1,420.00. Delivery figures are the published flat weight bands as at September 2026 and can change; the per-candle shares are derived by dividing a band by the number of candles the pack pours at 200 g of wax and 16 g of oil. Your ₹399.00 and the illustrative 50% target are unchanged.

There is a real saving available here and it is worth naming precisely, because it is not the one people expect. Ordering the wax and the oil in one consignment puts 6.8 kg into a single band. The two parcels separately come to ₹740.00; together they fall in the ₹630.00 band on Standard Shipping, a difference of ₹110.00 for identical contents. Per candle that takes the delivery line from ₹28.72 to ₹25.20. Two reviews on the store say plainly that delivery charges are high, and one of them puts it politely as feeling costly at checkout once the weight is calculated. That is a fair criticism, and consolidating is the answer to it rather than pretending the cost is not there.

What is not available is a quantity discount on the rate per kilogram. Run on the two products this page names: Eco Soy CSI 400 is ₹399.00 a kilogram in the one-kilogram pack and ₹399.20 in the 5 kg pack, so the larger pack is fractionally the dearer per kilogram rather than the cheaper. Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil does fall as the packs get bigger — ₹5.43 a gram at 15 gm, ₹3.40 at 50 gm, ₹3.00 at 100 gm and ₹2.84 at 500 gm — and its largest pack sits within a paisa a gram of the 500 gm rate. CSI publishes no quantity-discount ladder. What it does publish are order-value codes: HAPPY5 at 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 at 8% over ₹12,000 and YAY10 at 10% over ₹20,000, which turn on the basket total rather than on the pack you choose.

Building a ceiling on the listing price and buying on the landed one. The gap between them on this candle is ₹28.72, which is 14.40% of the whole ₹199.50 of room. If the ceiling is the number you shop against, put delivery inside it before you shop, not after the parcel arrives. Published rates as at September 2026; they are flat bands by weight and can change.

Doing it on your own figures, step by step

Four steps, and the third one is the only one that takes a week.
1
1. Write the price and the target margin at the top₹399.00 and a target gross margin you are prepared to defend. Multiply the price by one minus the margin. At an illustrative 50% that is ₹199.50; at 60% it is ₹159.60; at 40% it is ₹239.40. Write the figure down before you look at a single product page, because a ceiling chosen after shopping is not a ceiling.
2
2. Take out your packaging and your acquisition, from recordsAdd up what you actually spent last month on boxes, labels, inserts and any packaging extras, and divide by the candles you shipped. Do the same with advertising divided by acquired orders. Subtract both from the room. What is left is your maximum raw-material cost, and it is the only number in this exercise that is genuinely yours.
3
3. Cost the candle you want in four linesWax, fragrance, vessel, wick — in that order, every time. Decide whether your 200 g is wax or total fill and keep it consistent: 200 g of wax at 8% is 16 g of oil and 216 g in the jar, while 200 g of total fill at 8% is 185.19 g of wax and 14.81 g of oil. Carry inbound delivery in as its own line so you are comparing landed cost with the ceiling.
4
4. Compare, then change exactly one lineIf the stack is over, do not shave a little off everything. Find the single line with the largest gap to the ceiling and change that one — on the candle costed here it is the vessel, worth ₹120.50 a candle on its own. Then re-cost and re-test. Changing four lines at once means you never learn which one mattered.

How much one point of target margin is worth

Before you argue about the wax, see what a single percentage point buys.

The ceiling moves in a straight line with your target, at ₹3.99 a point. That makes it easy to see what any margin decision is worth in material terms. Five points is ₹19.95 — more than the whole wick line and about 44% of the fragrance line on the candle costed above. Ten points is ₹39.90, which is roughly the difference between the ₹150.00 vessel and one at about ₹110.10.

Priced above: your ₹399.00 against the ₹281.14 CSI stack and the ₹309.86 landed version of it, both built from Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.00/kg, Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil at ₹2.84/g, Green Iridescent jar with bamboo lid at ₹150.00 and Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) at ₹5.90, live CSI pricing September 2026. The six target margins are illustrative steps, not recommendations. Every row is before your own packaging and acquisition figures, which reduce the ceiling further.

Read the whole column and the point lands: this stack is over the ceiling at every target margin in the table, including the lowest. That is not a verdict on the materials and it is certainly not a reason to abandon a ₹399.00 price point. It is a statement that the specification and the price are describing two different candles, and that the cheapest correction available to you is on the vessel line. With a ₹29.50 container in place the same stack is ₹160.64 and clears a 50% target with ₹38.86 in hand — which is where your packaging and acquisition rows then have to live.

One last honest caution. CSI supplies raw materials and does not set or suggest retail prices, and nothing on this page tells you what to charge — ₹399.00 is your figure and the target margin is your decision. Store prices are inclusive of applicable taxes and GST invoicing is available; how your own tax position affects any of these figures is a question for your adviser rather than for a supplier's blog.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA sells the wax, the fragrance, the vessel and the wick in this costing, and the page still tells you plainly that the four of them together do not fit under a ₹199.50 ceiling — ₹281.14 against it, and ₹309.86 once inbound delivery is carried in. It also tells you that the line to change is the vessel rather than the wax, because the wax, fragrance and wick together are only ₹131.14 and a container under ₹68.36 is available on the same store. Where a figure is not published — the maximum fragrance load for Eco Soy CSI 400, the fill weight in grams of a vessel priced in millilitres — this page says so rather than estimating it.

Every CSI price here is live stock in September 2026, taxes included, and the linked product pages are authoritative if anything changes. Your ₹399.00 selling price is your own figure, carried unrounded and never presented as a CSI price; it is an illustrative retail figure, and CSI supplies raw materials rather than finished candles. The target gross margins of 40 to 70%, the 50% worked through the page, the 150 g alternative pour and the 6% alternative load are illustrative figures shown to compare magnitudes, not recommendations and not measured data. Fragrance load is a percentage of wax weight; the reading carried throughout is 200 g of wax plus 16 g of oil, 216 g poured, with the 200 g total-fill reading shown alongside. Zero wastage is assumed, which is an assumption rather than a measurement. Packaging, labels, inserts, outbound courier, marketplace fees, advertising, labour, electricity and rent are not CSI products and are left blank throughout. Delivery figures are the published flat weight bands as at September 2026, applied to stored packed weights.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum I can spend on materials for a ₹399.00 candle?
₹199.50 minus your own packaging and customer-acquisition figures, at an illustrative 50% target gross margin. The ₹199.50 is your ₹399.00 less the margin you intend to keep; at a 60% target it is ₹159.60 and at 40% it is ₹239.40. CSI sells neither packaging nor advertising, so those two subtractions are yours to make and this page leaves them blank.
Does a 200 g CSI soy candle fit under that ceiling?
Not on the combination costed here. Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.00/kg, Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil at ₹2.84/g, a Green Iridescent jar with bamboo lid at ₹150.00 and a ₹5.90 wick total ₹281.14, which is ₹81.64 over a ₹199.50 ceiling and ₹110.36 over once inbound delivery is carried in. Change the vessel to a 200ml Salsa Glass Jar at ₹29.50 each and the stack becomes ₹160.64, which clears it.
Should the 200 g be wax or the finished candle?
Decide and stay with it. This page uses 200 g of wax, because fragrance load is a percentage of wax weight, so 8% is 16 g of oil and 216 g goes into the jar. Read as 200 g of total fill, the split is 185.19 g of wax and 14.81 g of oil and the candle costs ₹271.86 instead of ₹281.14 — ₹9.28 less, which is not enough to change the answer here.
What fragrance load can I use with Eco Soy CSI 400?
The Eco Soy CSI 400 product page does not publish a maximum fragrance load, so this page does not estimate one — ask on WhatsApp +91 7397976926. The Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil page does publish a range of 6–10% of total wax weight for soy, so on this pairing that is the only published limit. The costing here uses 8%, which is 16 g on 200 g of wax and ₹45.44 at the 500 gm pack rate.
Can I get the wax cheaper by buying a bigger pack?
Not on this grade. Eco Soy CSI 400 is ₹399.00 a kilogram in the one-kilogram pack and ₹399.20 in the five-kilogram pack, so the larger pack is fractionally dearer per kilogram rather than cheaper. Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil does step down with pack size — ₹5.43 a gram at 15 gm through to ₹2.84 at 500 gm. CSI publishes no quantity-discount ladder; HAPPY5, BIZWIZ8 and YAY10 are order-value discounts on the basket total. The computable saving from a bigger order is consolidation: one 6.8 kg parcel instead of two costs ₹110.00 less than sending them apart, on the published bands as at September 2026.
Is the ceiling before or after GST?
This page does not calculate your tax position. Store prices are inclusive of applicable taxes and GST invoicing is available on request, so the CSI figures here are the amounts you pay. Whether your ₹399.00 is inclusive or exclusive of your own output tax, and how input credit affects the ₹199.50 ceiling, depends on your registration and turnover and is a question for your own adviser. Ask on WhatsApp for invoicing and documentation.
