CSI Wick Buying · Double-Wick Deep Pool
Two wicks gave you the width and too much depth. Before you choose between a smaller pair and one larger wick, buy the small retest for both and let three candles of each decide.
₹238.00
C1 20 + Cotton Braided 10: both options tested in one pour · CSI live pricing, October 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Should I reduce both wicks or go back to one large wick? Test both in one order rather than guessing. Pour three candles on two Eco C1 (Arm A, "reduce both") and three on one Cotton Braided (Arm B, "back to one"), beside three candles on your current pair as a control. The wicks cost ₹238.00: a C1 20-pack (₹118.00; the 10-pack is out of stock) and a Cotton Braided 10-pack (₹120.00).

Which is cheaper per candle? Almost neither. Two C2 cost ₹18.88 a candle; two C1 cost ₹11.80; one Cotton Braided ₹12.00. Two C1 save ₹7.08 a candle, one Cotton Braided ₹6.88; the two options differ by ₹0.20. Price cannot decide this; the full-life burn has to.

Is there a case for buying only one arm? Yes. If the single you abandoned was already Cotton Braided, Arm B repeats a known failure: buy the C1 20-pack alone (₹118.00). If spacing or session length has not been checked yet, buy nothing until it has.

When do I buy production wicks? Only after all three candles of the winning arm pass a full-life burn: full width by burn 3, pool depth back inside the commonly cited 0.5–1 cm band, and no flame or heat failure in the final third. CSI's C1, C2 and Cotton Braided cost the same per wick in every pack, so a bigger pack saves nothing.
The short answer
Buy: Eco C1 20 (₹118.00) for Arm A, Cotton Braided 10 (₹120.00) for Arm B, a Wick Centering Device pack (₹118.00) for the single: ₹356.00. The control pair comes from the C2 you already hold.
Pour: nine 300 g candles at 8% (24 g Autumn + 276 g CSI 464 in the worked example), three per configuration, one wax bag, one pour, one jar batch.
Per candle: two C2 ₹18.88 → two C1 ₹11.80 or one Cotton Braided ₹12.00. The wick is 4.2% of an Arm A candle's materials; the oil is 46.2%.
Approve: all three candles of one arm reach the glass by burn 3, hold the pool inside about 0.5–1 cm and finish the full life cleanly. Only then size production: candles × wicks per candle × (1 + allowance).
Same jar, three candles: what the retest compares Side sections drawn to scale (1.9 px per mm): 9.0 cm inside, your jar, not a CSI listing. Wax about 5.2 cm deep for 300 g (rough), 1.5 cm headspace. Dashed lines: the commonly cited 0.5–1 cm pool-depth band, a rule of thumb. Control: 2 × C2 (now) your existing pair, from stock 2.0 cm pool ₹18.88 a candle 3 candles · 6 C2 you own the deep pool you saw Arm A: reduce both 2 × C1, same spacing 0.5–1 cm ₹11.80 a candle 3 candles · 6 C1 · 20-pack ₹118.00 cuts heat, keeps two flames Arm B: back to one 1 × Cotton Braided, centred 0.5–1 cm ? ? ₹12.00 a candle 3 candles · 3 CB · 10-pack ₹120.00 one flame; reaching the glass is the risk 9.0 cm inside 4.5 cm apart 2.25 cm to glass Wick money per candle, drawn to scale (1 rupee = 24 px) 2 × C2 (now) ₹18.88 2 × C1 (Arm A) ₹11.80 Cotton Braided (Arm B) ₹12.00 Arm A and Arm B differ by ₹0.20 a candle. The money cannot choose between them; the burn has to. Your 300 g of oil and wax (₹270.31) dwarfs both.
One 9.0 cm inside jar drawn three times to true scale. The control keeps your two C2 at 4.5 cm apart (2.25 cm from the glass each); Arm A keeps the spacing and steps both wicks down to C1; Arm B goes back to one centred Cotton Braided, 4.5 cm from the glass all round. The dark band on the left is the 2.0 cm pool from the worked example; the dashed lines are the commonly cited 0.5–1 cm band, a rule of thumb, not a CSI test result. The bars below show why the two options cannot be chosen on price.
Straight answer
My double-wick candle creates an extremely deep melt pool after several burns. Should I reduce both wick sizes rather than return to one large wick?
Don't choose on paper; buy the retest for both and let three candles of each decide. With CSI wicks, "reduce both" means stepping your pair from two Eco C2 to two Eco C1 (there is no sized, tabbed wick between them), and "return to one large wick" means one Cotton Braided, CSI's top tabbed rung. Pour three candles of each beside three of your current pair as a control, all from one batch: six C1 from a 20-pack (₹118.00) and three Cotton Braided from a 10-pack (₹120.00). Two C1 commonly keeps the full width a pair gives you while cutting heat; one Cotton Braided cuts the flames to one and puts the risk back at the edge, which is likely why you went to two in the first place. That is a tendency, not a forecast for your jar. Per candle the two options differ by only ₹0.20, so judge them on the burn: full width by burn 3, pool depth back inside about 0.5–1 cm, and a clean final third. Before any order, rule out the free causes: sessions longer than 3–4 hours, an untrimmed wick, or a pair set too close together.
One line: ₹238.00 of wicks tests both answers at once; buying only the one you guessed costs a second lead time if the guess is wrong.
The retest wick order: Eco C1 20-pack (₹118.00; the 10-pack is out of stock on 1 October 2026) and Cotton Braided 10-pack (₹120.00), plus a Wick Centering Device pack (₹118.00) for the single. All in stock on 1 October 2026. Nothing bigger until one arm passes the full life.
Eco C1 20 — ₹118.00

The retest order, arm by arm

Three configurations, three candles each, one pour. The control is the cheapest candle on the bench and the one most people leave out.

The worked example: your jar measures 9.0 cm across the inside (CSI lists no jar at 9 cm; its nearest wide vessel, the Apothecary Glass Candle Jar with Dome Lid, is about 10 cm on the page). It is filled to 300 g with 8% Autumn in CSI 464, and it burns on two Eco C2 set 4.5 cm apart. The pool reached the glass by burn 2 but, a few burns later, measured about 2 cm deep at the end of a session: well past the commonly cited 0.5–1 cm. The single you started on was one C2, and it tunnelled. Your figures will differ; the structure of the order will not.

Most readers already hold the oil and wax, because they are making this candle; then the order is the three small packs, ₹356.00. From nothing, it is ₹3,235.20 before your jars. Without the control, six candles need 144 g of Autumn (100 g + 50 g, ₹814.20, leaving 6 g) and 1,656 g of wax (two bags, ₹1,014.80, leaving 344 g); we would still pour the control.

Why pour a control at all
Your deep pools happened in candles poured weeks ago, in another batch, possibly another room. If the new control candles do not go deep, the pool was never the wick: it was a pour, a draught or a long session. Without them, any arm that "improves" might just be a better day. The control costs wax, oil and wicks you already hold: ₹867.58 in materials for three candles.
Don't buy the 100-packs "to be ready": not the C1 100 (₹590.00), not the Cotton Braided 100 (₹1,200.00). Each costs exactly what the same wicks cost in the small pack, and one of the two arms is going to lose. Argued against our own interest: ₹238.00 is the whole wick spend for this question. Whichever pack you would have bought for the loser is money on a shelf.

Which arms you actually need

The cheapest arm is the one your own history has already ruled out. Read your notes before you read our list.

A deep pool in a double-wick candle has two families of cause: too much heat for the jar (both flames too big, or too many flames) and too much heat in one place (a pair set too close together, sessions run too long, a warm or draughty room). Only the first family is fixed by buying a different wick. The second is fixed with what you own, and the deep-pool-at-three-hours post owns that method: measuring depth and width together and moving the pair outward in small steps. This page owns what to buy once those are ruled out.

What to buy, by what you have already tried
Our judgement, labelled · counts are three candles per arm · CSI live pricing, 1 October 2026
Your history Arm A (2 × C1) Arm B (1 × Cotton Braided) Wick order
Spacing, session length and trim not yet checked Not yet Not yet Nothing: run the free checks first
You went to a pair after one C1 or one C2 tunnelled Yes Yes: Cotton Braided is a rung you have not tried ₹238.00
You went to a pair after one Cotton Braided tunnelled Yes No: it already failed at the edge ₹118.00
You started on the pair and never tried a single Yes Yes ₹238.00
Your pair is already 2 × C1 and still too deep Nothing below C1 is tabbed Yes, with care at the edge ₹120.00; and ask us about the gap

The last row is the honest edge of CSI's range. Below a pair of C1 there is no smaller sized, tabbed wick to step to; the Eco Candle Wicks Loose is sold untabbed and its page describes it for "2 inch diameters", a different job. If two C1 is still too hot, the next moves are spacing, load and session length, then the gap-filling options for a jar between CSI's rungs, then a message to us.

The free checks, before any purchase

Four things make a pool deep without the wick being wrong: session length (test sessions of 3–4 hours; a very rough rule of thumb of an hour per 2.5 cm puts a 9 cm first burn near 3.6 hours), trim (about 5–6 mm; one CSI trimmer page says "Trim your wick to 1/4 inch before every burn"), spacing (a pair 4.5 cm apart sits 2.25 cm from the glass; set closer, two flames heat the centre as one) and depth in the jar. That last one is the "after several burns" in your question: heat commonly builds as a candle burns lower, so a pool that was fine at the top can deepen in the lower half (why wick behaviour changes as the candle burns lower). That does not excuse it, but it tells you the retest must go to the bottom too.

Mistake: buying a smaller wick because the pool was deep on one long Sunday burn. Why it fails: a six-hour session deepens almost any pool; the wick is then sized for a habit, not the candle. Fix: log depth at the end of standard 3–4 hour sessions on two or three candles; buy only if the deep pool repeats under those conditions.

Per-candle money: why it cannot decide this

Both options save you about seven rupees a candle. That is the least important number on this page.

CSI's C1, C2 and Cotton Braided are each flat per wick across every pack, so the per-candle wick cost is fixed by the configuration alone:

Wick cost per candle · the three configurations
Flat per-wick prices at every pack · 300 g candle materials at the 100 g oil and 1 kg wax prices · jars excluded · all figures declared
Configuration Wicks Wick cost per candle Saving vs now Materials per 300 g candle
Control: 2 × C2 (now) 2 ₹18.88 — ₹289.19
Arm A: 2 × C1 2 ₹11.80 ₹7.08 ₹282.11
Arm B: 1 × Cotton Braided 1 ₹12.00 ₹6.88 ₹282.31

Each candle is ₹130.27 of oil plus ₹140.04 of wax plus its wicks: worked examples that exclude your jar, labour, freight, packaging and GST. Two C1 cost ₹0.20 less than one Cotton Braided per candle. Over a production month the gap stays small (see the production table below), and it can be overturned by things this page does not price: placing two wicks takes longer than placing one, and pairs need a holder that spans the jar. That labour and fixture cost at the design stage is the two-small versus one-big costing post; here it is enough to know that price is a tie-breaker, never the decider.

The number that does matter is the candle. A wrong arm costs three candles of ₹282.11 in materials; a wrong production order costs a month of them. The arm with the safer burn wins even if it costs a few paise more.

Argued against our own interest: if two C1 and one Cotton Braided both pass, the cheaper wick spend is two C1 at ₹11.80, but if your time is short, one Cotton Braided at ₹12.00 is one wick to centre instead of two. Neither earns us much more than the other. Choose on the burn and your bench, not on our price list.

Pouring the nine candles

Change the wicks. Hold everything else still, including the spacing, or the test answers a different question.
1
Measure and label nine jars from one batchInside diameter at the rim and halfway down, and the weight of water to your fill line. Label the bases CTL-a to c, A-a to c, B-a to c. Mass-produced glass varies; three measured jars beat one assumed size.
2
Mix once, pour all nine2,484 g of CSI 464 and 216 g of Autumn in one pot (24 g + 276 g per candle). The wax page states "Pour Temperature 80°C – 90°C"; if your jar states a lower hot-pour limit, the lower figure governs. 8% of total weight is 8.70% of wax weight, inside CSI 464's 10% on either reading.
3
Same spacing for both pairsArm A uses the same holder and the same 4.5 cm as the control. If you move the C1 pair outward as well, you have changed two things and will not know which one fixed the depth.
4
Centre the singleA centering device per Arm B jar; trim the 10.16 cm Cotton Braided to about 5–6 mm above the wax once set.
5
Cure, then burn 3–4 hour sessions in still airThe Autumn page states no cure time in the text we captured; many makers wait about a week for soy. Burn all nine together, away from fans and AC vents, within sight, with full cool-downs between sessions.
6
Log depth, width and flame every sessionPool depth with a marked skewer at the end of each session, the ring at four points, the trimmed flame height, soot and mushrooming; near the bottom, how close the flames sit to the glass, judged by eye, never by touch. How to read a depth curve is the 1 cm deep pool post.

Materials consumed: Arm A ₹846.34, Arm B ₹846.94, control ₹867.58; ₹2,560.87 for all nine, excluding jars. Each configuration's three candles must all burn to about 1 cm left; how far down a test candle must go before it counts is the acceptance-depth post.

Reading the arms: five outcomes, five purchases

Each result names one purchase, or no purchase at all. None of them names a 1,000-pack.

The thresholds are our judgement, readable from a log and a photo: "full width" means the ring has gone by burn 3; "back in the band" means end-of-session depth at or under about 1 cm on the standard session, through the final third.

Outcome → purchase · three candles per configuration · our judgement, labelled
Only an all-three, full-life pass releases a production order
What the candles show Reading What to buy next
The control does not go deep this time The earlier pools came from the pour, room or sessions, not the wick Nothing. Keep two C2; tighten the session wording and re-check the old batch
Arm A full width and back in the band; Arm B leaves a ring Your jar wants two flames, smaller ones C1 for production (formula below); no more Cotton Braided
Arm B full width and in the band, whether or not Arm A passes One centred wick is enough once the pair's extra heat is gone Cotton Braided for production if Arm A failed; if both passed, choose on labour, fixture and the final third, and keep the loser's spares as test stock
Arm A full width but still deep; Arm B leaves a ring Two C1 still over-heats; one large wick is under-powered: a gap between CSI's rungs No new wick yet: test spacing outward, then the options in the gap-filling post; ask us
Arm A leaves a ring; the control is deep The right pair sits between 2 × C1 and 2 × C2 Spacing first; a mixed C1 + C2 pair is experimental (5508); ask us before buying anything sized

Whichever arm wins, run all three of its candles to the bottom before ordering. A pair that holds the band at the top and then runs hot in the last third has not passed; the jar-heat side of that is the late-heat post. And once a winner is approved for Autumn in this jar, the approval is for that configuration: a different oil, load or wax is a new question.

Don't buy yet: a "between rungs" result is not a reason to buy a third CSI wick size, because there isn't one between C1 and C2. Buying the C2 20-pack again, or a Cotton Braided 50, will not fill that gap. Argued against our own interest: tell us your jar and results on WhatsApp first; if what you need is a finer step than CSI stocks, we will say so rather than sell you a pack that cannot help.

From the winning arm to production

The arm buys a decision. The decision sets the order, and the formula sets its size.

Once one arm passes the full life, size the wick order from your production: wicks = candles × wicks per candle × (1 + allowance). The allowance (5% in this worked example) covers rejects and retests. Because the three tabbed rungs are flat per wick, pick packs that add up to the number and stop.

Production exposure · worked example: 150 candles a month in your 9 cm jar
Wicks = 150 × wicks per candle × 1.05 · flat per-wick pricing · oil line for scale · all figures declared
Configuration Wicks a month Wick cost a month Saving vs 2 × C2 Packs that cover it
2 × C2 (today) 315 ₹2,973.60 — —
2 × C1 (Arm A wins) 315 ₹1,858.50 ₹1,115.10 three 100-packs + one 20-pack = ₹1,888.00
1 × Cotton Braided (Arm B wins) 158 ₹1,896.00 ₹1,077.60 100 + 50 + 10 = ₹1,920.00
For scale: Autumn, 3,600 g — ₹19,540.80 at the 1 kg price — 3 × 1 kg + 500 g + 100 g

Either win saves roughly a thousand rupees a month on wicks here, against ₹19,540.80 of oil. The saving is real, and it is the smaller benefit: the bigger one is a candle that no longer runs a 2 cm pool in a customer's home.

The bridge: the C1 50-pack

If Arm A wins, you already hold 14 C1 from the test pack. Add one C1 50-pack (₹295.00) and you have 64 wicks: 32 candles on two C1, enough for a first production run while you set the standing order. That is the one place a bigger C1 pack makes sense on this page, and it saves nothing per wick: the 50-pack is ₹5.90 a wick, like the 20.

Reorder point

At 315 C1 a month you use about 10.5 a day. With a 10-day order-to-bench time and a week of safety stock, reorder when you are down to about 178 wicks. The lead time is your figure: CSI dispatches from Pune and publishes no lead times or stock depth, so confirm dispatch on WhatsApp before a big run. The full reorder method is in the hub post on the 8 cm vanilla ladder.

Don't empty the C2 shelf the day Arm A wins: C2 you already hold is not dead stock. It is the control for your next retest and may be the right wick for a narrower jar or a lighter oil in your range. What to do with stock of the bigger wick when you wick down is the transition-inventory post; the short version is: move it, test with it, then write off only what is left.

What to buy, and what to skip

Five items, in the order the retest needs them, chosen on page statements, price and stock on 1 October 2026. CSI publishes no wick-performance data, so nothing here is ranked on burn results. Oil candle counts use 24 g per 300 g candle and the standard 12 g per 150 g candle.

Eco Candle Wicks — Thin (C1)
The smaller of CSI's two pre-tabbed Eco rungs, and the only way to "reduce both" with CSI wicks: there is no sized, tabbed wick between C1 and C2. The page describes "natural fibers like cotton and paper" and, in the text we captured, states no length, width or jar range, so two C1 in a 9 cm jar is a test, not a recommendation. Stock on 1 October 2026: the 10-pack is out of stock; 20 is the smallest buyable pack and covers the arm with 14 spare. Per wick it is ₹5.90 in every pack. Limitation: if two C1 is too cold and two C2 too hot, CSI has nothing in between to sell you.

Cotton Braided Wicks Ready Made
CSI's top tabbed rung and the only "one large wick" option above C2. The page says it is "engineered for large-diameter candles exceeding 8 cm" and claims "preventing tunneling"; your 9 cm inside jar is past that line, which is why it earns an arm, not a verdict. It also states "Height of the wick is 10.16 cm", taller than the roughly 5.2 cm of wax in the worked example, so trim before the first burn. Limitation: there is no bigger single tabbed wick at CSI. If Cotton Braided cannot reach the glass, the single route is closed and the answer is a pair.

The oil the arms are costed on. The page lists "crisp red apple, cinnamon leaf, and orange zest top notes, golden maple, clove bud, and nutmeg middle notes, and warm oak, amber, and vanilla base", calls it "Medium to strong throw", and states "Recommended fragrance load 7-11% for candles". In CSI 464 the wax page's "Up to 10%" is the lower ceiling and governs, so 8% sits inside both. The text we captured states no cure time or vanillin figure. Per gram it is flat from 50 g to 1 kg (₹5.43), so the 500 g saves nothing: buy grams for the test, not stock. If your oil is different, swap it in: the arms and counts do not change, the oil line does.

tool · centres the single wick in Arm B
Wick Centering Device (Pack of 5)
Arm B is a single centred wick, and your pair holder may not centre one. The page describes wooden holders for "centering and holding wicks straight in the container while the wax sets", "Hole Dia 0,15" (4mm)", for openings "less than 4"" (about 10.16 cm), so a 9.0 cm opening is inside its range. For Arm A and the control, keep whatever already holds your pairs: changing the fixture changes the spacing, and spacing is not what this test asks. Honest note: the Steel Wick Holder page says it fits jars "up to 9 cm wide"; a 9 cm inside jar is about 9.7 cm outside on our 0.35 cm wall assumption, so measure before buying one.

Skip for this retest: Performance Wooden Wicks (₹590.00 for 10): one listing, no widths, and a different construction; it would add a third variable. Eco Braided Wicks (₹472.00 for 5 m) and the Braided Wick Roll (₹706.82): unsized, cut to length, worth a look only if the arms land between rungs. A larger Steel Wick Holder order: your existing pair fixture holds the control and Arm A.

Diwali is 8 November 2026. A retest poured this week can show full width and depth by mid-October; the full-life burns to the bottom take the weeks after. Pour festive production on the winning arm only after it passes, and send us the configuration and candle count: we will quote C1 or Cotton Braided, Autumn and CSI 464 with a GST invoice and a dispatch date.

The CSI principle
Test both answers in one pour.
Two small packs, ₹238.00, settle "smaller pair or one larger wick" side by side. The two options differ by ₹0.20 a candle; the burn decides, the formula sizes the order.
"A deep pool is a heat question. Two wicks or one is a geometry question. Don't answer the second until the control has answered the first."

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the wicks, oil, wax and holders named here, and does not sell finished candles. This page still tells you to buy two small packs rather than one big one, that bigger packs save nothing per wick, that CSI has no sized wick between C1 and C2, and that we list no 9 cm jar.

Every price was verified on CSI's live store on 1 October 2026. Stock was checked per size: the Eco C1 10-pack is out of stock on that date and is flagged wherever it appears; every other size shown is in stock. Wick, oil, wax and holder wording is quoted from the product pages; where a page is silent in the text we captured, we say so.

The 9.0 cm jar, the 300 g fill, the 4.5 cm spacing, the 2 cm pool, the arms, the outcome readings, the 5% allowance and the production figures are our judgement or worked examples; pool depth (about 0.5–1 cm), session length (3–4 hours) and the hour-per-2.5 cm guide are commonly cited rules of thumb, not CSI data. Frequently asked questions

Is it better to use two small wicks or one big wick in a wide candle?
It depends on the jar, wax, oil and load, so test both. Two smaller wicks usually spread heat across a wide pool; one larger wick is simpler to place but may not reach the glass. With CSI wicks, compare two Eco C1 with one Cotton Braided, three candles each, beside your current pair.
Why is the melt pool so deep in my double wick candle?
Commonly: wicks too large for the jar, a pair set too close together, sessions longer than 3–4 hours, an untrimmed wick, a warm or draughty room, or the candle burning low in the jar where heat builds. Rule out the free causes first; buy a smaller pair only if the deep pool repeats under standard sessions.
How deep should a candle melt pool be?
A commonly cited rule of thumb is about 0.5–1 cm at the end of a normal session. It is a guide, not a CSI test figure: judge depth together with full width, flame height and how the candle behaves in its final third.
Are two C1 wicks cheaper than one Cotton Braided wick?
Slightly: two Eco C1 cost ₹11.80 a candle and one Cotton Braided ₹12.00, a difference of ₹0.20. They are ₹7.08 and ₹6.88 cheaper than two Eco C2 (₹18.88). The difference is too small to choose on; the burn decides.
How many wicks do I need to retest a double wick candle?
Three candles per option: six C1 for a 2 × C1 arm, three Cotton Braided for a single arm, and six of your current wick for a control. CSI's C1 20-pack (₹118.00) and Cotton Braided 10-pack (₹120.00) cover both arms.
Can I use one C1 and one C2 in the same candle?
You can test it, but treat it as experimental: two different flames in one pool can melt unevenly. Try it only after spacing has been ruled out and if 2 × C1 is too cold while 2 × C2 is too hot.
Retest a double-wick candle that runs deep
C1 20 + Cotton Braided 10 = ₹238.00: both answers, one pour.
Rule out session length, trim and spacing first. Then pour three candles on two C1, three on one Cotton Braided and three on your current pair, burn them to the bottom in 3–4 hour sessions, and order production only for the arm that passes the full life. Send us your jar and pair on WhatsApp and we will check the order before you pay.

About this guide: part of CSI's cluster on tunnelling, flame, soot and melt-pool symptoms and what they justify buying (5541–5560). It owns the retest purchase for a double-wick candle with a very deep pool: both options (two smaller wicks, or one larger wick) bought and poured together with a control, per-candle wick cost, counts per arm, outcome readings and the step to production.

Non-price figures: load is a percentage of total candle weight (300 g at 8% = 24 g oil + 276 g wax; the standard 150 g candle at 8% = 12 g oil + 138 g wax). The 9.0 cm inside diameter, the 0.35 cm wall, the 300 g fill, the 4.5 cm spacing and the 2 cm pool are labelled worked-example inputs; pool area = π r² on the inside radius (63.62 cm², 31.81 cm² per wick for two); the wax depth of about 5.2 cm uses the 0.9 rule of thumb for wax against water weight and should be confirmed by a weighed pour. Ceilings are as the pages state (CSI 464 up to 10%, pour 80–90°C; Autumn 7–11% for candles; the lower governs): formulation limits, not regulatory ones. Pool depth, session length and hours-per-width are commonly cited rules of thumb. The arm choices, outcome readings, 5% allowance, 150-candle month and 10-day lead time are editorial judgement and worked examples. Costs exclude jars, labour, freight, packaging and GST. Diwali 8 November 2026 is a calendar fact.
