Every wax in the range, with the limitations stated

There were fifteen waxes plus one additive on the CSI wax list at the September 2026 pricing pull, and fourteen of the fifteen were in stock — the exception was Soy Wax 464 Pellets, which is therefore not offered as buyable anywhere on this page. The Candle Wax collection lists fifteen products. The per-kilo figure below is the best published rate for that wax, which is not always the largest pack. Read the last column first.

Cost per kilogram, ranked — and why it is the wrong number

The "best size" column is the pack that gives the lowest per-kilo rate — and in two cases that is not the biggest bag. CSI live pricing, September 2026; the linked product page is authoritative.

Cheapest per kilo is not cheapest per candle

Take a 200 g jar candle: 180 g of wax and 16 g of oil, in a ₹70.80 White Matte Glass Jar, on a ₹5.90 Eco Candle Wick, scented at 8% with Sandalwood Fragrance Oil at 1 kg pricing (₹5,026.80, or ₹5.03/g) — ₹80.43 of oil.

On Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹599.00/kg, 180 g of wax is ₹107.82 and the material cost of the candle is ₹264.95. On Semi Refined Paraffin at ₹220.00/kg, the same 180 g is ₹39.60 and the candle is ₹196.73. The paraffin candle is ₹68.22 cheaper. That is a real saving and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

But look at what the wax is inside those numbers: 40.7% of the soy candle and 20.1% of the paraffin one. A change of ±₹100/kg on your wax moves the candle by ₹18; a change in how much fragrance you need to hit target throw moves it by more. If a fuller-releasing wax lets you drop from a 10% load to 8% on that Sandalwood, you save 4 g of oil — ₹20.11 a candle — nearly three times the ₹6.84 that Coconut Soy CSI 468 at ₹637.00/kg costs over the Chunks on 180 g. That is conditional on your own burn tests, not a promise — but it is the arithmetic that decides the answer, and it is not the per-kilo table.

Which wax for which product

This is the decision most makers get wrong, and it is not a quality question. A container wax is formulated to stick to glass; a pillar wax is formulated to shrink away from a mould. Put the first in a mould and it will not release; put the second in a jar and it pulls away from the wall and looks like a fault. Both are working exactly as designed.

One piece of the decision belongs to the wick, not the wax: every wax swap changes the melt pool, so a wick that was correct in CSI 464 will not automatically be correct in CSI 468 or Soy Pillar Wax. Paraffin vs soy, handled straight

This argument is usually conducted as a morality play. It is not one. Paraffin and soy are two materials with different properties, costs and market positions, and CSI stocks both because both are legitimate for different products. Four trade-offs decide it.

Two things CSI does not publish, stated plainly: there is no published fragrance ceiling for the paraffin, gel, beeswax or coconut grades, only for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks (up to 13%) and CSI 464 (up to 10%); and the paraffin grades are listed at 500 g and 1 kg only, with no bulk pack. If your plan needs either, ask on WhatsApp before costing around an assumption. A supplier who answers that with a number is worth more than one who answers it with reassurance.

Additives: what they do, and when you are being sold a problem you do not have

What separates a wax supplier worth staying with

Anyone can sell you a kilogram of wax once. The cost of a bad wax supplier is not the wax — it is re-testing every wick and every scent when the grade changes underneath you.
