Your mould count, not your wax order, sets pillar output
Wax is the easy part of a 1,000-pillar run. You can order it in an afternoon. What limits you is how many moulds you own, how long each pillar sits before release, and how many hands are free for top-up pours. Plan those first, then order wax to match.
Work backwards from the moulds
Say you own 20 moulds of one size and each produces one pillar per pouring day once you include setting, top-up and release. That is 20 pillars a day, and 1,000 pillars take 50 pouring days. Double the moulds and you halve the days. No quantity of wax changes that arithmetic.
Now set it against the calendar. Diwali falls on 8 November 2026 and Dhanteras on 6 November. If your pillars must reach shops before then, count back your pouring days, add packing and dispatch, and add CSI's 10% festive buffer to the pillar count for breakages and late orders.
Ordering wax in step with pouring
Soy Pillar Wax costs the same per kilogram at every pack, so there is no reason to take 100 kg in one delivery unless you have the dry storage for it. Two lots of 50 kg at ₹30,000.00 each cost the same as 100 kg at ₹60,000.00. For quantities above the listed 10 kg pack, ask CSI for a quote on WhatsApp, and ask about timing, since delivery times are not published.
Microcrystalline Wax Slab is listed only to 1 kg, at ₹299.00. At 5% micro, 100 kg of pillar wax needs 5 kg of micro, which is five slabs. Order them with the first wax delivery, not the second.
Changing the recipe halfway through the run. A different micro percentage or oil in week three gives you two slightly different pillars on the same shelf. Fix the recipe on your trial batch and hold it for the whole run.
Keep a batch sheet
For every pouring day, write the wax bag used, micro and oil weights, room conditions and the number of pillars released without fault. When a problem appears, the sheet shows you which day it started. At this scale, a fault found at pillar 600 that began at pillar 200 is expensive.
Buy moulds before wax
