Buy 50 Kg Soy Wax for Candle Making in India

The one 50 kg pack, and what 50 kg of everything else costs

CSI lists a 50 kg variant on exactly one soy wax. For the others, 50 kg is a stack of 10 kg or 5 kg bags, and because the listed price per kilo is flat across those packs on most waxes, the stack costs what you would expect. The table shows each route and marks the cheapest listed one in bold.

The key line is the second one. Natural Soy Pearl Wax is ₹424.80 a kilo at 5 kg, 10 kg and 50 kg. The 50 kg pack is the same money as five 10 kg bags, so its advantage is format — one listing, one order — not price. The same logic runs down the table: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks is ₹45 cheaper as ten 5 kg bags than as five 10 kg bags, and the rest are identical either way. Test before 50 kg: the ₹450 rule

Natural Soy Pearl Wax is the obvious 50 kg candidate — the only listed 50 kg pack and the second-lowest price per kilo in the range. Its page describes a pearl form that makes measuring and melting easy, a pearlescent finish, and suitability for "a variety of container types and candle designs". What it does not give is any number: no fragrance load, no melt point, no add or pour temperature. At 1 kg that is a detail. At 50 kg it is the whole risk, because every one of 263 candles will be poured to a recipe that only your own test can supply.

What 263 candles really cost

Fifty kilos divided by 184g is 271.7, so the pack pours 271 candles with 136g left. At this scale, don't chase the last few candles with top-up packs — plan the count down instead. Cash tied up, and how fast it comes back

Cash leaves on the day you order and returns only as candles sell — and no candle sells until it has cured. The table below is illustrative arithmetic, not a forecast: pick the row closest to your real weekly sales and read across. It assumes the 263-candle run above, a 14–21 day cure before the first sale, and steady weekly sales after that.

Melter capacity for 50 kg

At 50 kg the melter decides how many production days the wax becomes. The Electric Wax Melter (Imported) is listed in 10 kg (₹21,240) and 20 kg (₹25,960) capacities. Its page states that it can melt 10 kg of soy wax in approximately 30 minutes at 100°C, melt 9.5 litres of candle wax at a time, and has a display from 60°C to 100°C with a ±10°C deviation; for the bigger unit it says "around 20 kgs" without a separate melt time. A customer who has used the 10 kg melter for nine months reports 10 kg melting in "20-30 minutes".

Two things are easy to miss. First, a full 20 kg melt is only useful if you can pour 108 candles before the wax needs reheating, and pour speed per candle isn't stated anywhere, so time your own team on a 10 kg melt before paying ₹4,720 more for 20 kg capacity. Splitting 50 kg across two product lines

Fifty kilos is enough to support two product lines, and many makers at this stage want one: a second size, a premium tier, or pillars alongside jars. The rule from the 10 kg stage still holds — each line needs its own tested wax and recipe — but at 50 kg each line can have enough volume to justify it. Three workable splits:

If customers asked for a smaller, cheaper candle, the one-wax, two-size split keeps the recipe and changes only the vessel and wick — the lowest-risk way to widen a range. Plan the space before the order: a clear, dry, shaded area off the floor, away from sun-facing walls, with room to reach the oldest wax first. The product pages state shelf life only for CSI 464 and CSI 468 — 60 months in cool, dry storage; Natural Soy Pearl Wax's page states none, so treat cool and dry as the rule and use stock in the order it arrived.

Once the check jar passes, open one bag or one portion at a time, reseal the rest, and label each with its delivery date and the candles poured from it.
