"Luxury" is part of both product names; it is not a certification or a separate grade. What makes either wax suitable for a luxury range is what its page commits to in numbers, and here the two differ in ways that matter for large, expensive candles. The table sets every stated figure side by side, followed by the descriptive claims each page makes, which are worth testing rather than taking on trust.

Read the table as two different design philosophies. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks come with a method: a load range with a recommendation and a maximum, an add temperature, a pour, a stir time and a cure. A luxury brand can write its SOP almost directly from that page. CSI 464 comes with a technical sheet instead: a load ceiling, melt and pour figures and a shelf life, in an easier-to-weigh flake. The 85°C question: luxury glass and pour temperature

Luxury candles live in heavier, more decorative glass, and CSI's pages for two of its most luxury-styled vessels state a limit. The Apothecary Glass Candle Jar with Dome Lid (≈10 cm diameter, 13.2 cm tall with lid, 500 gm and 700 gm sizes) is stated safe for hot-pour up to 85°C, and so is the Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid. That single figure changes how the two Luxury waxes behave in practice.

Neither result rules a wax out. It means CSI 464 in 85°C-rated luxury glass needs a tighter working window — a thermometer in the pitcher, not a guess — while Luxury Soy Chunks give an operator more room for error. On a production day pouring twenty large apothecary jars, that margin is worth something. For other luxury vessels, such as the Borosilicate Glass Jar with golden lid ("ideal for 500–600g wax fill", ₹200) or the Candle Jar with Dome Lid (₹354), the pages do not state a hot-pour limit, so ask before pouring at the top of any range.

Which luxury formats each wax suits

Luxury ranges tend to go large: a statement 500g or 700g apothecary candle, a 600g borosilicate jar, and a smaller 150g "discovery" size. And the oil column is larger than either wax column in every row; in the 700g apothecary, White Royal Oud at ₹567.21 costs almost as much as the CSI 464 wax and the jar combined (₹569.66). Large luxury candles at 13% become an oil budget question before they are a wax question.

The luxury candle cost stack

Both cards count 500g apothecary candles at 10% (450g of wax each) per pack, so a luxury brand can read off how many statement candles each size makes before any spill allowance.

Many luxury brands will end up using both: Chunks for the two or three heavy signature scents that need headroom, CSI 464 for the rest of the line. That is two waxes, two recipe cards and two reorder points, which is manageable — as long as no candle ever switches wax without a test. One 10 kg bag at 450g per candle is 22 candles on paper; allowing about 5% for spills, top-ups and the test jar, plan on 21 × 500g apothecary candles (21 × 450g = 9,450g, plus 5% = 9,922.5g).
