CSI's largest fragrance-oil pack is 1 kg, so 10 kg is ten 1 kg bottles and the arithmetic is visible. The harder question is which oud: the same 10 kg costs ₹45,312 or ₹120,000 depending on the word after "oud".
₹45,312–₹120,000
10 kg, as ten 1 kg bottles · a ₹74,688 swing across seven oils that all say oud on the label · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Does CSI sell a 10 kg drum of oud fragrance oil? No. Across all 92 fragrance oils the variant ladder stops at 1 kg. There is no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg pack. A 10 kg order is supplied as ten separate 1 kg bottles, and the price is ten times the 1 kg price.

So what does 10 kg cost? It depends entirely on which oud. Woody Oud: 10 × ₹4,531.20 = ₹45,312. Lavender Oud: 10 × ₹12,000 = ₹120,000. The five oils in between are in the table below.

Does the price drop at 10 kg? Not automatically. The cart price stays at ten times the 1 kg price, and CSI publishes no slab, rate card, MOQ or credit term — none exists to quote. At this volume, ask on WhatsApp (+91 7397976926) for a quote rather than assume a discount is waiting.

How many candles is 10 kg? 625 candles at 200 g finished weight and an 8% fragrance load, which is 16 g of oil per candle. At 6% in a 100 g candle it is 1,666.
The short answer
Ten bottles, not one pack: 10 kg = 10 × the 1 kg variant. Woody Oud ₹45,312 · Dark Vanilla Oud ₹56,910 · Royal Oud ₹64,000 · Regal Royal Oud ₹65,000 · White Royal Oud ₹81,030 · Amber Oud Royal ₹116,400 · Lavender Oud ₹120,000.
Name the oil, not the note. "10 kg of oud" is not an order. It is a ₹74,688 question that only a product name answers.
No published discount above 1 kg. No slab, no rate, no MOQ, no credit term. Ask for a quote on WhatsApp and treat anything unwritten as not yet agreed.
The cost of exactly 10 kg, to scale — seven oils, all called oud Woody Oud ₹45,312 Dark Vanilla Oud ₹56,910 Royal Oud ₹64,000 Regal Royal Oud ₹65,000 White Royal Oud ₹81,030 Amber Oud Royal ₹116,400 Lavender Oud ₹120,000 ← everything right of this line is the ₹74,688 swing
Same weight, same word on the label, seven different oils. 10 kg computed as ten times each oil's 1 kg variant price, September 2026: Woody Oud ₹45,312 at the top, Lavender Oud ₹120,000 at the bottom. The vertical rule sits at the Woody Oud figure; everything to the right of it is the ₹74,688 you are deciding without realising it when you write "10 kg of oud" in an enquiry.
Straight answer
Can I buy 10 kg of oud fragrance oil from CSI, and what does it cost?
You can buy 10 kg, but not as a 10 kg pack — no such SKU exists. The fragrance-oil variant ladder across all 92 oils stops at 1 kg, so 10 kg is supplied as ten separate 1 kg bottles at ten times the listed 1 kg price. There are seven ouds, and that is where the real decision sits: Woody Oud at ₹4,531.20/kg makes 10 kg ₹45,312; Dark Vanilla Oud ₹56,910; Royal Oud ₹64,000; Regal Royal Oud ₹65,000; White Royal Oud ₹81,030; Amber Oud Royal ₹116,400; and Lavender Oud ₹120,000. That is a ₹74,688 spread on an identical ten kilograms. The cart price does not fall automatically at 10 kg, and CSI publishes no slab, rate card, minimum order quantity or credit term — so there is nothing for this page to promise. What a manufacturer at this volume should do is name the oil, run the per-candle arithmetic in the next section, then ask for a quote on WhatsApp. Related: buying fragrance oils in bulk in India and how much fragrance oil a candle business actually needs.
One line: 10 kg of oud is ten 1 kg bottles costing ₹45,312 to ₹120,000 — name the oil before the weight, because the weight is the cheap part of the decision.
Not ready to commit ₹45,312? Woody Oud is ₹453.12 for 100 g and every oud on this page ships in 100 g. Testing all seven at 100 g costs ₹5,750.12 — 4.8% of the dearest 10 kg order on this page.

What 10 kg of oud actually costs, oil by oil

A manufacturer who writes "I need 10 kg of oud" has not made a decision. They have made a ₹74,688 question look like a purchase order.

Start with the structural fact. CSI's fragrance-oil variant ladder is at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg. There is no drum, no jerry can, no 5 kg or 10 kg pack anywhere in the catalogue. Order 10 kg and you receive ten 1 kg bottles at ten times the 1 kg price. Anyone quoting you a "10 kg pack price" from this store is quoting something that does not exist.

The second fact is the one that costs money. Seven oils in the CSI range carry the word oud, spanning ₹4,531.20 to ₹12,000 per kilogram — a 2.65× spread inside one scent name. Two of them, Royal Oud at ₹6,400/kg and Regal Royal Oud at ₹6,500/kg, sit within ₹100 of each other and are different oils; never treat them as one product in a specification.

10 kg = 10 × the 1 kg variant · September 2026
Seven ouds, the same ten kilograms, and the per-candle consequence
Oud 1 kg price Per gram 10 kg = 10 × 1 kg Fragrance in a 200 g candle @ 8% (16 g)
Woody Oud ₹4,531.20 ₹4.531 ₹45,312 ₹72.50
Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691.00 ₹5.691 ₹56,910 ₹91.06
Royal Oud ₹6,400.00 ₹6.400 ₹64,000 ₹102.40
Regal Royal Oud ₹6,500.00 ₹6.500 ₹65,000 ₹104.00
White Royal Oud ₹8,103.00 ₹8.103 ₹81,030 ₹129.65
Amber Oud Royal ₹11,640.00 ₹11.640 ₹116,400 ₹186.24
Lavender Oud ₹12,000.00 ₹12.000 ₹120,000 ₹192.00

Run the check both ways, because the two numbers turn out to be one number. At 8% in a 200 g candle you use 16 g, so Woody Oud puts ₹72.50 of fragrance in the jar and Lavender Oud puts ₹192.00 — ₹119.50 apart. Ten kilograms at 16 g a candle makes 625 candles, and 625 × ₹119.50 = ₹74,688, exactly the gap between ₹45,312 and ₹120,000. The pack swing and the production swing are the same figure viewed from two ends. If ₹119.50 a candle does not survive your retail price, the decision is already made, and it is not the ₹120,000 oil.

The attar trap — read this before you search again. CSI also lists Pure Hindi Oud Oil at ₹7,000 for 1 gram. That is an attar, a perfumer's material sold by the gram. It is not a candle fragrance oil, it belongs in no candle cost model, and it is deliberately absent from every table here and not linked. Search "10 kg oud oil", land on attar pricing and multiply, and you get ₹70,000,000 — an absurd figure with nothing to do with candle making. Check which product family you are reading before you multiply anything.
What "ask for a quote" honestly means here
CSI has published no volume slab, per-kilogram rate card, minimum order quantity or credit term for fragrance oil, so this page cannot tell you what a 10 kg enquiry will come back with, and will not pretend otherwise. What it can tell you is what to put in the message: the exact product name, the quantity in kilograms, your GST number, your delivery pin code, and whether you need MSDS and IFRA documentation, which CSI supplies on request. WhatsApp +91 7397976926. Treat anything not written back to you as not yet agreed.

The volume breaks run backwards from what you expect

The received wisdom is that the cheap oil rewards volume and the expensive one does not. In the CSI oud set it is precisely the other way round.

Before paying for 10 kg, check whether the kilogram is even the right unit. Compare each oil's 1 kg price against two of its own 500 g packs, then scale to ten kilograms. The result is not what a buyer expects.

1 kg versus 2 × 500 g, scaled to 10 kg
Where the kilogram is a discount, and where it is only a convenience
Oud 500 g 2 × 500 g 1 kg Kilogram saves Across 10 kg
Lavender Oud ₹6,200.00 ₹12,400.00 ₹12,000.00 +₹400.00 +₹4,000
Amber Oud Royal ₹5,999.00 ₹11,998.00 ₹11,640.00 +₹358.00 +₹3,580
Royal Oud ₹3,300.00 ₹6,600.00 ₹6,400.00 +₹200.00 +₹2,000
Regal Royal Oud ₹3,299.00 ₹6,598.00 ₹6,500.00 +₹98.00 +₹980
Woody Oud ₹2,265.60 ₹4,531.20 ₹4,531.20 ₹0.00 ₹0
Dark Vanilla Oud ₹2,845.00 ₹5,690.00 ₹5,691.00 −₹1.00 (kg dearer) −₹10
White Royal Oud ₹4,051.00 ₹8,102.00 ₹8,103.00 −₹1.00 (kg dearer) −₹10

The pattern is the opposite of the assumption. The two dearest ouds have the only breaks worth the name: Lavender Oud's kilogram saves ₹400 against two 500 g packs — ₹4,000 across ten kilograms — and Amber Oud Royal's saves ₹358, or ₹3,580. Royal Oud and Regal Royal Oud manage ₹2,000 and ₹980. Then it stops. Woody Oud — the volume oud, the one you would actually buy ten kilograms of — saves exactly ₹0: its 500 g pack is precisely half its kilogram. And on two oils the kilogram is ₹1 dearer, so 10 kg of White Royal Oud costs about ₹10 more than twenty 500 g packs, and Dark Vanilla Oud the same ₹10.

What that means for a purchase order, said plainly. On Woody Oud, buying kilograms rather than 500 g packs is a handling decision, not a pricing one. Ten 1 kg bottles mean fewer caps, fewer decants and fewer batch codes than twenty 500 g bottles — real operational savings, and the actual reason to do it. They are not a discount. If anyone tells you the kilogram is cheaper on Woody Oud, the arithmetic above says otherwise.

Note the ten-rupee cases rather than acting on them. ₹10 across a ₹81,030 order is 0.01%, and the extra handling of twenty bottles costs more than that in bench time. It is quoted because it is true, and because it is the clearest evidence that there is no automatic volume logic in this catalogue to lean on. Every line has to be checked. Wider version of the argument: the wholesale fragrance oils buyer's guide and how premium brands buy fragrance wholesale.

625 candles: the whole bill, not just the oil

Ten kilograms of oud is one line on a bill of materials — the line everybody plans, and rarely the one that decides the cost of the candle.

Fragrance percentage on CSI pages is a proportion of total finished candle weight, not of the wax: a 200 g candle at 8% is 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax. On that basis, 10 kg converts into production as follows. Figures are whole candles.

10 kg of fragrance oil → finished candles
Candle weight × fragrance load · whole candles from exactly 10,000 g of oil
Candle @ 6% @ 8% @ 10% @ 13%
100 g 6 g oil · 1,666 candles 8 g · 1,250 10 g · 1,000 13 g · 769
150 g 9 g · 1,111 12 g · 833 15 g · 666 19.5 g · 512
200 g 12 g · 833 16 g · 625 20 g · 500 26 g · 384
300 g 18 g · 555 24 g · 416 30 g · 333 39 g · 256
The 13% column does not apply to every wax
Fragrance ceilings are formulation limits set by the wax manufacturer — the maximum oil that wax will hold in solution — not regulatory limits. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks are rated up to 13%. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is rated up to 10%, so the 13% column above is simply unavailable if CSI 464 is your wax. Work to the figure stated on the wax you actually bought, before you commit to a load that fixes your oil consumption for a year.

Take the 200 g at 8% line as the reference build: 625 candles, 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax each, so 115 kg of wax (625 × 184 g = 115,000 g). Wax has to be bought in real pack sizes, and 115 kg on Luxury Soy Wax Chunks is eleven 10 kg packs at ₹5,999 plus one 5 kg pack at ₹2,995 — ₹68,984, or ₹110.37 of wax per candle. That is already more per candle than the ₹72.50 of Woody Oud sitting in it. If you would rather hold the wax cost down, the same 115 kg on CSI 464 flakes is eleven 10 kg packs at ₹5,074 plus one 5 kg at ₹2,537 = ₹58,351, or ₹93.36 per candle — remembering that CSI 464 caps at 10%, not 13%.

Now the vessel, where an oud line differs from a starter line. An oud candle almost never ships in the cheapest glass on the store, so pricing it from the cheapest votive gives a number you will never pay. The premium option that fits a 200 g fill is the 200 ml Salsa Amber Glass Jar with a 63 mm lug cap and golden lid at ₹62.00 each — amber glass and a metal lid, the right visual register for oud. 625 jars is six 100-piece packs at ₹6,200 plus five 5-piece packs at ₹310: ₹38,750, exactly ₹62.00 a candle. Add Eco Candle Wicks Thick (C2) at ₹9.44 each: 625 wicks is ₹5,900 of wick, but packs come in 500, 100 and 20, so the nearest combination covering the run is 500 + 100 + 2 × 20 = 640 wicks for ₹6,041.60. Then 16 sheets of 40 Candle Wick Stickers at ₹100 = ₹1,600, and one pack of 1,000 Candle Care Stickers at ₹699.

Total materials — ₹161,386.60 ₹232,474.60 ₹258.22 / ₹371.96
Fragrance as a share of materials — 28.1% 50.1% —

Two numbers there are worth sitting with. On the Woody Oud build the fragrance is 28.1% of materials, and the wax alone is a larger line than the oil. On the Amber Oud Royal build it is 50.1% — the oil costs marginally more than everything else put together, because the non-fragrance lines come to ₹116,074.60 against ₹116,400 of oil, ₹325.40 apart across 625 candles. That is what the Royal line does to a cost structure: it stops being an ingredient and becomes half the product. Labour, further packaging, shipping, wastage and GST sit outside this table, so treat ₹258.22 and ₹371.96 as materials floors, not landed costs. The pricing guide works upwards from that floor.

Be honest about which line is biggest, because it moves with the jar. On the build above, Woody Oud at ₹72.50 is ₹10.50 dearer per candle than the ₹62.00 jar — but only just, and only with that jar. Move to a Black Glass Jar with Black Lid at ₹107.00 in a 150 g format and Woody Oud at 8% is 12 g, ₹54.37, so the vessel is 1.97× the fragrance. Move to a Premium Glass Clip-Top container at ₹229 or an Apothecary Jar with Dome Lid at ₹212.40 and the glass is the largest single line by a distance. Spending ₹120,000 on fragrance before the vessel and the label are settled is spending it in the wrong order.
Priced above: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks ₹5,999/10 kg and ₹2,995/5 kg · CSI 464 flakes ₹5,074/10 kg and ₹2,537/5 kg · 200 ml Salsa Amber Glass Jar ₹6,200/100 pcs and ₹310/5 pcs (₹62.00 each) · Eco Candle Wicks Thick C2 ₹4,720/500, ₹944/100, ₹188.80/20 (₹9.44 each) · Candle Wick Stickers ₹100 per 40-sticker sheet · Candle Care Stickers Roll ₹699 per 1,000. Premium is earned by the candle, not bought in the bottle

The most expensive thing you can do with ₹120,000 is buy a luxury fragrance and put it in a candle that does not look like it cost that much.

This is the part a supplier has every incentive to stay quiet about, so it will be said clearly. An oud candle sells on its vessel, finish, label and story at least as much as on the oil inside it. A customer at a retail counter cannot smell the difference between a ₹4,531.20/kg oud and an ₹11,640/kg oud through closed glass. What they can see is the weight of the jar, the fit of the lid, the print quality of the label and the price you have had the confidence to put on it. None of that is in the fragrance bottle.

Woody Oud at ₹4.531 per gram makes a genuinely good oud candle: it is the volume oud in the range, it carries the resinous weight that makes oud read as oud in a soy pool, and it has published customer reviews saying so. The Royal line — Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, White Royal Oud, Amber Oud Royal and Lavender Oud — is a positioning choice, not a quality guarantee. A higher per-gram figure tells you where an oil sits in a range. It does not tell you it will outperform in your wax, your jar and your wick.

What this page cannot tell you, and will not invent
CSI publishes no comparative performance test across these seven ouds. There is no side-by-side throw measurement, no burn-test data set and no ranking — so this page claims none, and any ranking you see elsewhere is not coming from CSI. The only test that settles it is yours: same wax, same jar, same wick, same cure, one oil per batch. It is also the only test that matters, because it runs on your product rather than someone else's.

There is a cheap way to run it. Four of the seven — Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, Amber Oud Royal and Lavender Oud — have no 15 g and no 50 g variant, so 100 g is the cheapest way into them. All seven at 100 g costs ₹5,750.12: Woody Oud ₹453.12, Dark Vanilla Oud ₹590, Royal Oud ₹699, Regal Royal Oud ₹699, White Royal Oud ₹810, Amber Oud Royal ₹1,299, Lavender Oud ₹1,200. That is 4.8% of the dearest 10 kg order on this page, and it gives roughly six 200 g candles of each at 8% — enough for a full cure and a blind test with real customers.

Volume tier · the 10 kg oud
Woody Oud Fragrance Oil
The oud to build a production line on. At ₹4.531 per gram it is the cheapest oud in the range, and it is flat per gram from 100 g upward, so your costing does not change as you scale — useful when quoting a wholesale price before you know your volume. Published reviews on this product describe warm, long-lasting scent and strong performance in candles. Ten kilograms arrives as ten 1 kg bottles.

Middle tier · gourmand-oud crossover
Dark Vanilla Oud
A sweeter, more legible opening than straight Woody Oud over a resinous oud base — useful when a line has to sell from a shelf or a photograph as well as from a lit jar. At ₹5.691 per gram it adds ₹18.56 per 200 g candle over Woody Oud, or ₹11,598 across a 10 kg run. Note the pack arithmetic: its kilogram is ₹1 dearer than two 500 g packs, so buy the kilogram for handling, not pricing.

Royal line · the top of the range
Amber Oud Royal
The dearest oud here after Lavender Oud, and the one that most changes a cost structure: at 10 kg it is 50.1% of the materials bill on the 625-candle build above. It has no 15 g and no 50 g variant, so 100 g at ₹1,299 is the entry point for testing. It also carries one of only two real volume breaks in the oud set — the kilogram saves ₹358 against two 500 g packs, ₹3,580 across 10 kg. Buy it because a finished product at a price justifies it, not because a per-gram figure implies quality.

The CSI principle
A premium price has to be earned by the finished candle. It cannot be bought in the fragrance bottle.
₹120,000 of Lavender Oud in a ₹29.50 jar with a home-printed label is a ₹120,000 mistake. ₹45,312 of Woody Oud in ₹62.00 amber glass with a properly printed label and a cure you can defend is a line you can sell for years. Settle the vessel, the finish and the story first; then decide how much of the margin the oil is allowed to take.

Ten bottles, ten batch codes — and whether you should buy 10 kg at all

Ten kilograms arriving as ten bottles is not a logistics detail. It is ten chances for a premium line to change smell halfway through a season.

Consistency matters more on a premium line than anywhere else, because premium customers re-buy. Somebody who paid your oud price once and liked it will buy again expecting the same candle, and will notice a difference in a way a ₹299 citrus buyer would not. That risk scales with the number of separate containers your season's fragrance arrives in — and at 10 kg that is ten containers.

1
Record every bottle as it is openedNumber the ten bottles on arrival and keep the invoice with the numbering. For each production batch, write down which bottle it came from, plus the wax pack, jar lot, wick size, load in grams and pour date. When a customer says batch nineteen smells different, that record turns an argument into a lookup.

Keep a reference candle from bottle onePour two extra candles from the first batch, cure them fully, and keep them sealed and out of the light as your standard. When you open bottle six, pour one beside the reference and smell both cold and hot on the same day. It is the only comparison that controls for your own nose drifting over a season.
3
Do not decant into unlabelled containersThe commonest way a traceable batch becomes untraceable is a decant into an unmarked jug on a busy pour day. Work from the original 1 kg bottle with a weighing scale at ₹354 and a pen thermometer at ₹354, and weigh rather than measure by volume — load is a weight percentage and oils differ in density.
4
Ask for documentation with the order, not after a complaintCSI supplies MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, and GST invoicing as standard. Request both when you place a 10 kg order and file them with the bottle numbering; that is the paperwork a retail buyer or a marketplace compliance check eventually asks for. Requesting it after a query has arrived is the same work done under pressure.

On storage: keep the bottles closed, upright, cool and out of direct sunlight, away from the pour bench and its heat, and leave the oil in the container it arrived in. CSI publishes no shelf-life figure for fragrance oils, so this page will not state one. Document instead of guessing: note the invoice date against each bottle number, keep the paperwork on file, and if a late bottle behaves differently from your reference candle you have a dated record to raise on WhatsApp rather than an impression.

The turnover question, flagged as editorial judgement rather than CSI policy. CSI has published no guidance on how fast to consume fragrance oil; what follows is our own view, not a supplier rule. Ten kilograms at 200 g and 8% is 625 candles of a single scent. For that stock to clear inside roughly six months you need to sell 100 or more candles a month of that one oud — not 100 a month in total. At 50 a month it is a year's holding; at 25 a month, two years. Money in fragrance is money not in glass, print, photography or advertising, and on the Amber Oud Royal build that is ₹116,400 sitting on a shelf rather than working. If your honest run rate for that scent is under 100 units a month, buy less and buy again — the breaks table above means you lose almost nothing by doing so. See scaling to 1,000 orders a month and whether candle making is actually profitable in India.

Prerequisites for a 10 kg fragrance order
Seven things that should already be true. If any is not, buy 1 kg and fix it first
Prerequisite How you know it is true If it is not
Locked formulation at a stated load Written down as a percentage and in grams, e.g. 16 g in a 200 g candle at 8% Your 10 kg does not yet have a known candle count
A wax whose ceiling covers that load 13% on Luxury Soy Chunks, 10% on CSI 464 — stated per wax Buy the wax and settle the load first; the load sets the order size
A wick tested in the exact jar Three test burns, full pool to the glass in 2–3 hours, no soot Buy 1 kg, finish the wick testing, then scale
A premium vessel with reliable resupply The jar is in stock in 100-piece packs, and you have bought it twice A 10 kg oil order stranded by a jar you cannot reorder is the worst outcome here
Storage that is cool, dark and not the pour bench Ten 1 kg bottles fit, closed and upright, away from heat and sunlight Order in smaller quantities until the space exists
A batch-record habit that already exists You can name the wax pack and wick size used in a batch from last month Start the record on 1 kg. A habit begun at 10 kg is a habit begun too late
Proven sell-through at the oud price You have sold this scent, at this price, in this jar, to strangers Test all seven at 100 g for ₹5,750.12 before committing ₹45,312 or more
Nobody ever regretted buying one kilogram. Plenty of people have regretted buying ten.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. The commercially convenient version of this page would have invented a 10 kg pack, implied a bulk rate and pointed you at the ₹120,000 oil. Instead: no pack above 1 kg exists, no discount slab, rate card, MOQ or credit term has been published, the volume oud saves exactly ₹0 by the kilogram, and on two ouds the kilogram is ₹1 dearer. We would rather you ordered the right quantity of the right oil than the largest quantity of the dearest one.

Every price here is a live CSI variant price pulled in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing and specification always take precedence. Prices above 1 kg are shown as explicit multiplications of the 1 kg variant, never as a pack price. Fragrance ceilings of 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and 10% for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 are the wax manufacturers' stated formulation limits, not regulatory limits, and are not interchangeable. CSI publishes no comparative performance test across the seven ouds and none is claimed here; nor does CSI publish a shelf-life figure for fragrance oil.

Frequently asked questions

Does CSI sell a 10 kg drum or jerry can of oud fragrance oil?
No. The variant ladder across all 92 fragrance oils is at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg, and there is no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg pack of any fragrance oil in the catalogue. A 10 kg order is supplied as ten separate 1 kg bottles at ten times the 1 kg price: Woody Oud 10 × ₹4,531.20 = ₹45,312, Lavender Oud 10 × ₹12,000 = ₹120,000.
Do I get a discount if I order 10 kg?
The website price does not fall automatically above 1 kg, and CSI has published no volume slab, rate card, minimum order quantity or credit term — so there is nothing to quote here, and nothing will be invented. At manufacturing volume the right step is to ask: message +91 7397976926 with the product name, the kilograms, your GST number, your delivery pin code and whether you need MSDS and IFRA documentation. Treat anything not written back to you as not yet agreed.
Which oud should a manufacturer buy 10 kg of?
Whichever one your finished candle can carry at your retail price. Woody Oud at ₹4.531/g is the volume oud and makes a genuinely good oud candle at ₹72.50 of fragrance per 200 g candle. The Royal line up to Lavender Oud at ₹12/g is a positioning choice, not a quality guarantee, and CSI publishes no comparative performance test across the seven. Test all seven at 100 g for ₹5,750.12 — 4.8% of the dearest 10 kg order — first.
How many candles will 10 kg of fragrance oil make?
625 candles at 200 g and an 8% load, because fragrance percentage is of total candle weight: 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax each. At 10% it is 500; at 6%, 833; in a 100 g candle at 8%, 1,250. Those 625 candles also need 115 kg of wax — eleven 10 kg packs plus one 5 kg pack of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹68,984, a larger line on the bill than ₹45,312 of Woody Oud.
Is the 1 kg bottle cheaper per gram than 500 g packs?
Only on some ouds, and the pattern reverses what buyers assume. The dearest oils have the real breaks: Lavender Oud's kilogram saves ₹400 against two 500 g packs (₹4,000 across 10 kg) and Amber Oud Royal's ₹358 (₹3,580). Woody Oud's saves exactly ₹0, and on White Royal Oud and Dark Vanilla Oud the kilogram is ₹1 dearer, so 10 kg costs about ₹10 more than twenty 500 g packs. Buy kilograms for handling, not for a discount that mostly is not there.
Is Pure Hindi Oud Oil at ₹7,000 the same thing as oud fragrance oil?
No, and confusing the two produces nonsense numbers. Pure Hindi Oud Oil is priced at ₹7,000 for 1 gram and is an attar — a perfumer's material sold by the gram. It is not a candle fragrance oil and belongs in no candle cost model. The candle fragrance oils are the seven listed here, ₹4,531.20 to ₹12,000 per kilogram. If a search for "10 kg oud oil" lands you on attar pricing, you are in the wrong product family.

About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. Product recommendations reflect the CSI range; the per-candle arithmetic, bill-of-materials method and batch-record framework apply to any supplier.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on their product pages, shown against the product each was actually written about — Payal Patel (5★, Mar 2026) and Renam Dhoundiyal (4★, Apr 2026) on Woody Oud Fragrance Oil, and Suman Bisht (5★, Jul 2025) on Dark Vanilla Oud are the three genuine oud reviews; Renu (5★, Jul 2026) reviewed Gilli Mitti (Patchouli), Jaya Sawlani (5★, Nov 2025) reviewed Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, and Monika Deep (4★, Oct 2025) reviewed Eco Candle Wicks — the last three are included because they speak to supply consistency rather than to oud. Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, White Royal Oud, Amber Oud Royal and Lavender Oud have no published reviews at all, and this page shows none for them. None of these reviews describes a 10 kg purchase. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me; two longer reviews are shortened with an ellipsis and are otherwise unedited, and only reviews Judge.me recorded as verified purchases carry the badge.

Figures verified September 2026. No fragrance-oil pack above 1 kg exists in the CSI catalogue; every 10 kg figure on this page is stated as ten times the 1 kg variant price and is supplied as ten separate 1 kg bottles. Fragrance oils, 1 kg variant prices: Woody Oud ₹4,531.20 (₹93.22/15 g, ₹271.40/50 g, ₹453.12/100 g, ₹2,265.60/500 g); Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691.00 (₹105.02/15 g, ₹320/50 g, ₹590/100 g, ₹2,845/500 g); Royal Oud ₹6,400.00 (₹699/100 g, ₹3,300/500 g); Regal Royal Oud ₹6,500.00 (₹699/100 g, ₹3,299/500 g); White Royal Oud ₹8,103.00 (₹130/15 g, ₹420/50 g, ₹810/100 g, ₹4,051/500 g); Amber Oud Royal ₹11,640.00 (₹1,299/100 g, ₹5,999/500 g); Lavender Oud ₹12,000.00 (₹1,200/100 g, ₹6,200/500 g). Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, Amber Oud Royal and Lavender Oud have no 15 g or 50 g variant. 10 kg therefore = ₹45,312 / ₹56,910 / ₹64,000 / ₹65,000 / ₹81,030 / ₹116,400 / ₹120,000, a spread of ₹74,688. Per-candle fragrance cost is 16 g at 8% in a 200 g candle: ₹72.50 / ₹91.06 / ₹102.40 / ₹104.00 / ₹129.65 / ₹186.24 / ₹192.00; the ₹119.50 gap between Woody Oud and Lavender Oud across 625 candles is ₹74,688, matching the pack spread. All seven at 100 g = ₹5,750.12 = 4.79% of ₹120,000. Pure Hindi Oud Oil at ₹7,000 per 1 g is an attar, not a candle fragrance oil, and is excluded from every calculation and not linked. Bill of materials for 625 × 200 g candles at 8%: 10 kg oil; Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 115 kg as 11 × 10 kg (₹5,999) + 1 × 5 kg (₹2,995) = ₹68,984 (₹110.37/candle), with CSI 464 at 11 × ₹5,074 + ₹2,537 = ₹58,351 (₹93.36) as the alternative; 200 ml Salsa Amber Glass Jar with 63 mm lug cap at ₹62.00 each, 6 × 100 pcs (₹6,200) + 5 × 5 pcs (₹310) = ₹38,750; Eco Candle Wicks Thick (C2) at ₹9.44 each, 500 + 100 + 2 × 20 = 640 wicks = ₹6,041.60; Candle Wick Stickers 16 sheets of 40 at ₹100 = ₹1,600; Candle Care Stickers Roll pack of 1,000 at ₹699. Totals ₹161,386.60 (₹258.22/candle, fragrance 28.1%) on Woody Oud and ₹232,474.60 (₹371.96/candle, fragrance 50.1%) on Amber Oud Royal; non-fragrance lines ₹116,074.60. Alternative vessels cited: Black Glass Jar with Black Lid 150 g ₹107.00 each, Premium Glass Clip-Top ₹229.00, Apothecary Jar with Dome Lid 500 g ₹212.40. Weighing scale ₹354, pen thermometer ₹354. Volume-break comparison uses each oil's own 500 g and 1 kg variant prices as listed above. Fragrance ceilings of up to 13% (Luxury Soy Wax Chunks) and up to 10% (Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464) are wax-manufacturer formulation limits, not regulatory limits. CSI publishes no volume slab, rate card, MOQ or credit term for fragrance oil; no comparative performance test across the seven ouds; and no shelf-life figure. The six-month turnover judgement is CSI editorial opinion, not supplier policy. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
