261 candles
of one scent before a 5 kg purchase beats buying as you go · ₹16.00 saved a candle · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How many candles before the 5 kg pays off? 261 candles of that single scent. Buying 5 kg at your stated saving costs ₹24,995.00 against a live CSI rate of ₹5,999.00 a kilogram, so the purchase breaks even at ₹24,995.00 ÷ ₹5,999.00 = 4.17 kg poured — 260.4 candles at 16 g each, on the series costing unit of 200 g of wax at 8%.

Is the ₹5,000 saving real? Real, but not immediate and not certain. It arrives as ₹16.00 a candle across 312.5 candles, and only if all 5 kg is poured. Pour 3 kg of it and your effective rate is ₹8,331.67 a kilogram — ₹2,332.67 a kilogram worse than buying as you went.

How much of the drum am I allowed to waste? Divide the discount by the full rate: ₹1,000.00 ÷ ₹5,999.00 = 16.7%, which on 5 kg is 0.833 kg, about 52 candles' worth. Waste more than that and the discount is gone. That one line works on any bulk offer, from any supplier.

Does CSI's rate fall when I buy 5 kg? No. On Wild Berries the published rate runs ₹5.98 a gram at 50g and ₹6.00 a gram at 1kg — flat to a paisa or two, and fractionally higher in the largest pack rather than lower. CSI publishes no per-kilogram quantity ladder. What it does publish is three order-value codes: HAPPY5 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 8% over ₹12,000 and YAY10 10% over ₹20,000, worth ₹599.90 a kilogram on a 5 kg order.
The short answer
261 candles: ₹24,995.00 of fragrance at your discounted rate, divided by the ₹5,999.00 a kilogram it would cost to buy as you go, is 4.17 kg — 260.4 candles at 16 g each. Below that the deal loses.
₹16.00 a candle, not ₹5,000.00 today: the saving is a rate, collected 312 times. Those 312 candles also need 62.5 kg of wax behind them, another ₹31,712.50 on live CSI pricing.
The certain saving is ₹270.00: five 1kg parcels ordered separately cost ₹900.00 in published delivery bands against ₹630.00 for one 5.5 kg consignment, September 2026. That one does not depend on anything selling.

What it shows: the effective cost of fragrance per kilogram actually poured, when 5 kg is bought at your stated saving of ₹1,000.00 a kilogram off a live CSI rate of ₹5,999.00 a kilogram for Wild Berries in September 2026. The fixed outlay is ₹24,995.00; each bar divides it by the quantity genuinely used. The dashed line is the ₹5,999.00 a kilogram you would pay buying only what you need, so bars to the left of it are cheaper than buying as you go and bars to the right are dearer. The crossover sits at 4.17 kg, about 261 candles at 16 g each. Deliberately left out: freight, storage, wastage and the cost of the cash, all of which move the crossover up and none of which this page will guess at.
Straight answer
How many candles must I sell before a 5 kg fragrance purchase at ₹1,000 per kg off pays for itself?
261 candles of that one scent, and the arithmetic behind it is short enough to check. Your stated saving of ₹1,000.00 a kilogram on 5 kg is ₹5,000.00, but it never arrives as ₹5,000.00 — it arrives as ₹16.00 on every candle you pour from the drum, because a candle on the series costing unit of 200 g of wax at an 8% load carries 16 g of oil and 216 g of fill. That is the fill reading used throughout this page. The title gives no base rate, so the money side runs on a live CSI one: Wild Berries is ₹5,999.00 a kilogram at the 1kg pack in September 2026, which makes your discounted rate ₹4,999.00 and the 5 kg purchase ₹24,995.00. Buying only what you need, when you need it, costs ₹5,999.00 a kilogram and nothing for what you never reach — so the two are level at ₹24,995.00 ÷ ₹5,999.00 = 4.1665 kg, which is 260.4 candles. Pour more and the purchase was right; pour less and it was not, however good the percentage looked. Put differently, you are allowed to waste ₹1,000.00 ÷ ₹5,999.00 = 16.7% of the drum and no more. Two figures usually missing from this decision belong in it: those 312 candles need 62.5 kg of wax behind them, another ₹31,712.50 at Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464's ₹507.40 a kilogram, so the real cash commitment is roughly double the fragrance invoice; and at 40 candles a month you are 6.5 months from the crossover, which is a long time to be confident about one scent. On CSI's own pricing there is no per-kilogram quantity ladder to collect — the Wild Berries rate runs ₹5.98 a gram at 50g and ₹6.00 at 1kg, fractionally dearer in the larger pack — but there are three published order-value codes, HAPPY5 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 8% over ₹12,000 and YAY10 10% over ₹20,000, and the last of those is worth ₹599.90 a kilogram on a 5 kg order. The one saving here that does not depend on anything selling is the parcel: five separate orders cost ₹900.00 in published delivery bands against ₹630.00 for one 5.5 kg consignment, a difference of ₹270.00, as at September 2026.
One line: 261 candles of one scent, ₹16.00 at a time — and you may waste only 16.7% of the drum before the discount is gone.
261 candles of that one scent. That is the number your question is really asking for. On your stated saving of ₹1,000.00 a kilogram, applied to a live CSI rate — Wild Berries at ₹5,999.00 a kilogram in September 2026 — buying 5 kg at once costs ₹24,995.00 against ₹5,999.00 a kilogram as you go, and the deal only starts winning once you have actually poured 4.17 kg of it. At the series costing unit of 200 g of wax at 8%, which is 16 g of oil a candle, that is 261 candles.

What the ₹5,000 is, and what it is not

A saving you collect one candle at a time is not an investment that pays back. It is a rate.

Your figures first, kept exactly as you gave them. A saving of ₹1,000.00 a kilogram across 5 kg is ₹5,000.00. That is the whole prize and it is worth having. But it does not arrive as ₹5,000.00. It arrives as a slightly lower cost on every candle you pour from that drum, at the rate of ₹16.00 a candle — ₹1,000.00 a kilogram spread over the 16 g each candle takes.

So the word payback needs unpicking before the arithmetic starts. Nothing here pays back in the sense a machine does. You have not bought an asset that generates money; you have paid earlier, and in larger lumps, for a material you were going to buy anyway, in exchange for a lower rate. The only way the ₹5,000.00 reaches you is by pouring all 5 kg. Five kilograms at 16 g a candle is 312.5 candles — call it 312 whole candles of one single scent.

And there is a second number nobody puts on the invoice. Those 312 candles need wax behind them: 200 g each is 62.5 kg of wax. On Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40 a kilogram, that is another ₹31,712.50 of material for the same run — more than the oil. A fragrance buying decision is never only a fragrance buying decision, and the cash it implies is roughly double what the fragrance invoice says.

Priced above: your own stated saving of ₹1,000.00 a kilogram on 5 kg, used exactly as given and never presented as a CSI offer. The rate it is applied to is Wild Berries 1kg ₹5,999.00, which is ₹5,999.00 a kilogram and ₹6.00 a gram, live CSI pricing September 2026, taxes included; the title supplies no base rate, so a live CSI rate is used rather than an invented one. Wax is Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 10 kg ₹5,074.00 (₹507.40/kg). The costing unit throughout is 200 g of wax at an 8% load, which is 16 g of fragrance oil and 216 g of fill a candle — that is the fill reading carried through this whole page.
The CSI principle
The discount is a rate. The cash is a date.
₹16.00 arrives with each candle. ₹24,995.00 leaves on the day you order.

The answer: 261 candles

One division, and the headline saving turns into a sales target.

Here is the comparison that answers the question properly. Two ways of buying: take the 5 kg now at the discounted rate, or buy only what you need, when you need it, at the full rate. Taking the 5 kg costs ₹24,995.00, fixed, whatever happens next. Buying as you go costs ₹5,999.00 for every kilogram you actually pour and nothing for the kilograms you never reach.

Set them equal and solve for the quantity. ₹24,995.00 ÷ ₹5,999.00 a kilogram is 4.1665 kg. Pour more than that and the 5 kg purchase was cheaper. Pour less and you would have been better off buying as you went, discount or no discount. In candles, at 16 g each, 4.1665 kg is 260.4 — so the working answer is 261 candles of that one scent, and everything after that is profit on the decision.

Notice what that means as a fraction. You have to use 83.3% of the drum. Not most of it — nearly all of it. The reason is structural: your saving is ₹1,000.00 against a rate of ₹5,999.00, which is about 16.7% off, and a discount of that size is wiped out by wasting a sixth of what you bought. Whenever someone offers you a bulk rate, divide the discount by the full rate and you have the fraction you are allowed to waste. Here it is 16.7%, or 0.833 kg of the 5 kg.

Effective rate per kilogram poured · your saving, CSI's rate
What the 5 kg really costs, depending on how much of it you use
Fragrance you actually pour Candles at 16 g You paid Effective rate per kg poured Against buying as you go
5.00 kg — all of it 312 ₹24,995.00 ₹4,999.00 ₹1,000.00 a kg better
4.50 kg 281 ₹24,995.00 ₹5,554.44 ₹444.56 a kg better
4.17 kg — the crossover 261 ₹24,995.00 ₹5,999.00 level
4.00 kg 250 ₹24,995.00 ₹6,248.75 ₹249.75 a kg worse
3.00 kg 188 ₹24,995.00 ₹8,331.67 ₹2,332.67 a kg worse
2.00 kg 125 ₹24,995.00 ₹12,497.50 ₹6,498.50 a kg worse
Priced above: ₹24,995.00 is 5 kg at your stated saving of ₹1,000.00 a kilogram off the live CSI rate for Wild Berries 1kg, ₹5,999.00 a kilogram in September 2026. The effective rate in each row is that fixed outlay divided by the quantity in the first column — the arithmetic of any purchase you do not finish. The six use levels are illustrative points to read your own record against, not a forecast.

The shape of that column is the thing to remember. It is not a gentle slope. From 5 kg down to the crossover the advantage bleeds away slowly, and then it collapses: pour 3 kg of the 5 and you paid ₹8,331.67 a kilogram for fragrance whose list rate is ₹5,999.00 — ₹2,332.67 a kilogram worse off, for the privilege of having taken a discount. The curve is a hyperbola, which is another way of saying that the last kilogram in the drum is the one carrying the entire argument.

Counting the saving before the candles are poured. The tempting move is to book ₹5,000.00 into this month's numbers because the invoice shows it. It is not this month's ₹5,000.00; it is ₹16.00 on each of 312 future candles, and it only exists if those candles exist. If you must record it somewhere, record it per candle, against the candles you have actually made. A saving recognised on purchase and never earned in production is how a business talks itself into a storeroom full of scent.
Applying a one-scent decision to a one-scent risk. Five kilograms is not five kilograms of fragrance — it is five kilograms of one fragrance. The 261 candles that justify it all have to be the same scent, in the same period, at your current load. If your range is eight scents and your best seller is a fifth of your volume, ask honestly how long 312 units of a single scent takes to move. The same cash spread over the three scents you know sell will always beat a discount on one you hope will.

How long 5 kg lasts at your own sales rate

The same purchase is prudent at 150 candles a month and reckless at 20.

The crossover of 261 candles answers whether the purchase is right. Your sales rate answers when. Put your own monthly figure for that one scent into the table below and read across: the months of cover, the point at which the saving has actually been earned, and how much of the ₹5,000.00 lands each month while you wait.

Cover and payback · your own sales rate
5 kg of one fragrance, at 16 g a candle
Candles of this scent a month Months of cover in 5 kg Months to reach 261 candles Saving earned per month Verdict at this rate
20 15.6 13.0 ₹320.00 More than a year of one scent — hard to justify
40 7.8 6.5 ₹640.00 Over six months before the deal is even level
60 5.2 4.3 ₹960.00 Defensible on a proven scent
100 3.1 2.6 ₹1,600.00 Comfortable — a quarter's cover
150 2.1 1.7 ₹2,400.00 Clearly worth doing
Priced above: your stated saving of ₹1,000.00 a kilogram, which is ₹16.00 on a candle carrying 16 g of oil. Cover is 312.5 candles divided by the monthly rate; the payback column is 260.4 candles divided by the same. The five monthly rates are illustrative rows for you to find your own on, not CSI sales data. The verdict column is judgement, not arithmetic — your cash position may reasonably override it either way.

Two things fall out of that table. The first is that the saving per month is small at every realistic rate: even at 150 candles a month it is ₹2,400.00, which is the scale of a modest expense line rather than a transformation. The second is that the months-to-crossover column is the one that matters for cash. At 40 candles a month you are 6.5 months from the point where the decision was worth taking — and a lot can change about a scent's popularity in 7 months.

Set that against the Indian selling year, because it is not uniform. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November 2026, and a 14 to 21 day cure plus delivery puts the festive pour around mid-October; weddings, Rakhi and corporate gifting bunch similarly. A scent that sells 40 a month on average may sell 150 in October and 12 in February, which changes cover from a single number into a seasonal question. Buy the drum ahead of the season it serves, not in the quiet month when the offer happens to appear.

THE ONE-LINE TEST TO KEEP
Divide the discount by the full rate, and that is the fraction of the purchase you are allowed to waste. Here it is ₹1,000.00 ÷ ₹5,999.00 = 16.7%, which on 5 kg is 0.833 kg — about 52 candles' worth. Everything beyond that has to be poured for the deal to stand up. Write the fraction on the purchase order, not the rupee saving.
A drum you cannot finish is the dearest fragrance in the workshop.

What CSI's own fragrance ladder actually does

Worth checking before you assume the kilogram is the cheap way to buy.

Your title assumes a rate that falls with quantity. It is worth being exact about what happens on this store, because the answer is not the one a bulk-buying article usually gives. Run the rate ladder on Wild Berries and the four published packs come out at ₹5.98 a gram at 50g, ₹5.99 at 100g, ₹6.00 at 500g and ₹6.00 at 1kg. The rate does not fall as the pack grows; the smallest pack is fractionally the cheapest per gram, and the largest is fractionally the dearest. CSI publishes no per-kilogram quantity ladder, and 1 kg is the largest published pack of this oil, so 5 kg is five 1 kg packs at ₹29,995.00.

Follow that to its logical end and it produces a genuinely odd-looking result, so here is the whole calculation rather than a slogan. Five kilograms bought as one hundred 50g packs is 100 × ₹299.00 = ₹29,900.00, which is ₹95.00 less than the same 5 kg in 1kg packs. Then check the parcel, because that is where it turns around: a hundred 50g bottles store 10.0 kg of packed weight and the cheapest published band covering that is ₹800.00, while five 1kg bottles store 5.5 kg and cost ₹630.00. Landed, the small packs are ₹30,700.00 and the kilogram packs are ₹30,625.00 — the kilograms win by ₹75.00. The lesson is not that either is clever. It is that the rate ladder alone never settles a buying question.

Wild Berries 50g 100 ₹29,900.00 10.0 kg ₹800.00 ₹30,700.00
Difference — ₹95.00 to the small packs — ₹170.00 to the kilograms ₹75.00 to the kilograms
Priced above: Wild Berries 50g ₹299.00 (₹5.98/g) and 1kg ₹5,999.00 (₹6.00/g), live CSI pricing September 2026, taxes included. Packed weights are the stored variant weights — 0.1 kg for the 50g bottle and 1.1 kg for the 1kg — and the delivery figures are CSI's published flat weight bands as at September 2026, which can change. These are order-value discount codes and published flat rates only; CSI publishes no per-kilogram quantity ladder on fragrance oil.

What CSI does publish, and what is genuinely worth planning an order around, is three spend-based codes: HAPPY5 at 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 at 8% over ₹12,000 and YAY10 at 10% over ₹20,000. They are order-value discounts, not quantity breaks — they depend on what the basket comes to, not on the pack you choose. A 5 kg fragrance order at ₹29,995.00 sits past the YAY10 threshold, so the code is worth ₹2,999.50 on it, which is ₹599.90 a kilogram and brings the order to ₹26,995.50. That is a real number, it is less than the ₹1,000.00 a kilogram in your question, and it is the honest comparison rather than a promise of a ladder that does not exist. For a genuinely large consignment the route is a quote on WhatsApp.

Reading a range-level statement as a promise about your oil. "Most oils are the same rate per gram from 50 g upwards" is true of the range as a whole and tells you nothing about the bottle in your basket. Some oils on this store are meaningfully cheaper in a mid-size pack than in the kilogram; others, like the one costed here, are fractionally dearer in the largest. The only reliable move is to read the four or five published rates off the product page and divide. It takes thirty seconds and it is the difference between a real saving and a remembered one.

Where the certain saving actually is

One of the numbers on this page does not depend on anything selling.

Everything above is conditional on demand. There is one saving in a 5 kg purchase that is not: the parcel. CSI's delivery charges are published flat rates by weight band, and bands are set by the stored packed weight. The 1kg pack of Wild Berries stores 1.1 kg. Ordered one at a time over five months, each parcel falls in a band costing ₹180.00 on Standard Shipping — ₹900.00 in all. Ordered together, 5.5 kg falls in a single band at ₹630.00. The difference is ₹270.00, as published in September 2026.

Carried into the candle that is ₹0.86 each across the 312 candles the 5 kg makes — small, but it is money you keep whether the scent sells or not, and it is the only line on this page with that property. Two reviews on the store say plainly that delivery charges feel high. That is a fair criticism and consolidating is the honest answer to it, not a claim that the charges are small.

Two cautions, because consolidating is not a law. The bands have edges and they bite in both directions: Standard Shipping stops at 15 kg, so a very large consignment can cost more in one parcel than in two, and a weight that just crosses a band edge can cost more than a heavier one that sits inside the next. Check the weight you are actually shipping before you decide that bigger is cheaper. And the stored packed weight is the figure that bills, not the label — a 1 kg bottle of oil ships at 1.1 kg here, and a 500g bottle at 0.6 kg.

Running it on your own figures

Four steps, and the answer comes out in candles rather than percentages.
1
1. Write down the two rates, not the savingThe full rate and the discounted rate, both per kilogram. The saving on its own is the least useful of the three figures because it hides the base. On this page the full rate is the live CSI rate for Wild Berries, ₹5,999.00 a kilogram; your stated saving makes the discounted rate ₹4,999.00.
2
2. Multiply the discounted rate by the quantityThat is the money that actually leaves: 5 × ₹4,999.00 = ₹24,995.00. Do not net the saving off it in your head. The cash that goes is the cash that goes, and it goes on one day.
3
3. Divide by the full rate₹24,995.00 ÷ ₹5,999.00 = 4.1665 kg. That is the quantity at which the purchase breaks even against buying as you go. Anything you pour beyond it is genuine saving; anything short of it is not.
4
4. Turn the kilograms into candles, then into monthsDivide by the oil in one candle. At 16 g that is 260.4 candles — 261 in practice. Divide that by your monthly sales of that one scent and you have the payback period in months, which is the only form of the answer you can act on. If the months figure is longer than you would confidently forecast that scent, buy less.

One refinement worth adding if you want it. The step above ignores the cost of holding the cash, which is real and which this page will not put a number on because it is not a CSI cost and it is different for every business. If you do have a number for it — an overdraft rate, a supplier credit you are giving up, a stall booking you cannot afford — add it to the ₹24,995.00 before dividing. It moves the crossover up, never down, which is worth knowing before you round the answer in your own favour.

What this page will not put a number on

The arithmetic is exact. The cost of holding stock is yours to supply.

Every rupee figure here is either your own stated saving or a live CSI price in September 2026. The rest of an inventory decision is real and no supplier can price it for you. Copy these rows into your own sheet, fill them from your own records, and total the page as materials from CSI plus your own costs.

Your side of the sheet

Wastage and failed pours An assumption, not a measurement — set your own percentage after a batch —
Fragrance, 5 kg at your discounted rate Your saving applied to the CSI rate ₹24,995.00
Wax the same run needs 62.5 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 ₹31,712.50
Priced above: only the two material lines — 5 kg of fragrance at your stated saving off the live CSI rate of ₹5,999.00 a kilogram, and 62.5 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40 a kilogram, live CSI pricing September 2026. Every other row is deliberately empty. Do not put a typical figure in a blank. Note that CSI's largest published wax pack is 10 kg, so 62.5 kg is seven packs; larger consignments are quoted on WhatsApp.

The wastage row deserves its sentence, because it interacts with everything above. This page has assumed that every gram of the 5 kg reaches a candle. It will not: oil clings to the bottle, a batch gets abandoned, a measurement goes wrong. If your real figure is 3%, then 5 kg is 4.85 kg of usable oil and 303 candles rather than 312, and the crossover of 261 candles has become a larger share of what you can actually pour. Measure it once across a full batch and use your own number — it is worth more than any figure printed here.

Storing a five-kilogram commitment badly. Everything on this page assumes the oil at the end of the drum is as good as the oil at the start. Keep it sealed, cool and out of direct sunlight, as the product pages advise, and decant into a working bottle rather than opening the full pack each time. A scent that has flattened by the time you reach the last kilogram has not just lost you the ₹1,000.00 a kilogram — it has lost you the ₹5,999.00.
Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA sells fragrance oil by the kilogram and this page still tells you that a 5 kg commitment to one scent is the wrong first move unless you have already sold 261 candles of it. It also says plainly that on this store the per-gram rate for Wild Berries does not fall as the pack grows — it is ₹5.98 a gram at 50g and ₹6.00 a gram at 1kg, marginally higher in the larger pack — so the reason to buy the kilogram here is freight and convenience, not rate. Claiming otherwise would sell more oil and be untrue.

Every CSI price here is live stock in September 2026, taxes included, and the linked product pages are authoritative if anything changes. The ₹1,000.00 a kilogram saving and the 5 kg quantity are your own figures from the question, used exactly as given and never presented as a CSI offer; because the title supplies no base rate, the rate the saving is applied to is a live CSI one rather than an invented reader figure. Fragrance load is a percentage of wax weight as CSI product pages state it, and the costing unit throughout is 200 g of wax at 8%, which is 16 g of oil and 216 g of fill a candle. The Wild Berries page states 8–10% in soy wax; Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 states a maximum of 10% of total wax weight, and where a wax maximum and an oil range differ the lower one governs. CSI publishes no per-kilogram quantity ladder; the published order-value codes are HAPPY5 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 8% over ₹12,000 and YAY10 10% over ₹20,000. Shipping figures are CSI's published flat weight bands as at September 2026, priced on stored packed weights. This page assumes zero wastage, which is an assumption and not a measurement. Storage, the cost of cash, labels, boxes, outbound courier and your own labour are not CSI products and are left blank throughout.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the answer in candles rather than months?
Because candles are the unit the saving is actually collected in and months are not. The crossover is 261 candles whatever your sales rate; the months follow from dividing that by your own monthly figure for the scent. At 40 candles a month it is 6.5 months, at 100 a month it is 2.6. Give the same purchase to two makers and the arithmetic is identical while the answer is not.
What if I only use 3 kg of the 5 kg?
Then you paid ₹8,331.67 a kilogram for the oil you actually poured — the fixed ₹24,995.00 divided by 3 kg — against a list rate of ₹5,999.00 a kilogram. That is ₹2,332.67 a kilogram worse off. The remaining 2 kg is not a loss on paper until you write it off, but it is not a saving either, and it is the reason this page insists on the crossover rather than the headline.
Does the same maths work for wax?
The structure does — outlay divided by full rate gives the break-even quantity — but wax behaves differently because you use far more of it and it is not scent-specific. Sixty-two and a half kilograms of wax serves every scent in your range, so it turns over much faster than 5 kg of one fragrance. The risk in a bulk fragrance purchase is concentration in a single scent, and that risk does not exist on a plain container wax like Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464.
How many candles does a kilogram of fragrance make?
62.5 at 16 g each, which is 200 g of wax at an 8% load. At a 10% load it is 20 g a candle and 50 candles to the kilogram, so the load you choose changes your cover by a fifth. Check the load against both published limits before planning stock around it: the Wild Berries page states 8–10% in soy wax and the Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 page states a maximum of 10% of total wax weight, and the lower of the two governs.
Should I buy 5 kg as five 1 kg packs or in smaller bottles?
As 1kg packs, on this oil. A hundred 50g bottles come to ₹29,900.00, which is ₹95.00 less than ₹29,995.00 for the five kilogram packs — but they store 10.0 kg of packed weight against 5.5 kg, so the published delivery band is ₹800.00 rather than ₹630.00. Landed, the kilograms win by ₹75.00, before you count the time spent opening a hundred bottles. Run the same check on your own oil rather than assuming it.
Is there any version of this purchase I would recommend?
Yes: buy the quantity your forecast supports, in one consignment, timed to the season it serves. That collects the ₹270.00 freight difference, which is certain, and the order-value code if the basket reaches a threshold, which is published — without betting ₹24,995.00 on 312 units of a single scent. Diwali 2026 is 8 November 2026 and a 14 to 21 day cure plus delivery puts the festive pour around mid-October, so the order that serves it wants placing well before that.

About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. The method — divide the fixed outlay by the rate you would otherwise have paid to get the break-even quantity, convert it into units of your own product, then divide by your own sales rate for the months — works with any supplier, any material and any discount.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on their product pages. Figures verified September 2026 (CSI live pricing). The reader's figures, used exactly as given in the question and never presented as CSI offers: a saving of ₹1,000.00 per kilogram on a 5 kg fragrance purchase. Because the title supplies no base rate, the saving is applied to a live CSI rate rather than an invented reader rate. Series convention: fragrance load is a percentage of wax weight, so the costing unit is 200 g of wax plus 16 g of oil at 8%, 216 g poured, and that is the fill reading carried throughout. Live CSI prices, September 2026, taxes included. Fragrance: Wild Berries 50g ₹299.00 (₹5.98/g), 100g ₹599.00 (₹5.99/g), 500g ₹2,999.00 (₹6.00/g), 1kg ₹5,999.00 (₹6.00/g, ₹5,999.00/kg); the page states 8–10% in soy wax with extremely strong hot throw; 1kg is the largest published pack. Wax: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 10 kg ₹5,074.00 (₹507.40/kg), stated maximum fragrance load 10% of total wax weight, stated shelf life 60 months in cool, dry storage. Wick: Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 500 for ₹2,950.00 (₹5.90 each). Published order-value discount codes quoted: HAPPY5 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 8% over ₹12,000, YAY10 10% over ₹20,000 — order-value discounts, not quantity breaks; CSI publishes no per-kilogram quantity ladder. Shipping: stored packed weights are 1.1 kg for the 1kg variant, 0.6 kg for the 500g and 0.1 kg for the 50g; the cheapest published band covering one 1.1 kg parcel is ₹180.00 on Standard Shipping, 5.5 kg is ₹630.00 and 10.0 kg is ₹800.00, all as published in September 2026 and all subject to change. Illustrative: the six use levels in the effective-rate table and the five monthly sales rates in the cover table are illustrative rows for you to find your own figure on, not CSI sales data; the page assumes zero wastage, which is an assumption and not measured data. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
