Build the requirement in the usual order. The candle is 100 g at 8%, so 8 g of oil and 92 g of wax. At 2,000 candles a small reject rate matters, and you should divide by the pass rate rather than multiply: 2,000 ÷ 0.97 = 2061.86, so 2,062. Pre-production tests sit outside the reject rate: 10, covering wick checks, scent checks and retained samples. Then pour loss on the material. The rounding to packs is covered below. Before that, notice the size of the lines. 196.34 kg of wax is twenty 10 kg bags. 17.07 kg of a single oil is seventeen 1 kg bottles. Neither is exotic, but both are large compared with a normal week's orders, and both need to be available at the same moment you need them. That is the real subject of this page.

What to hold, what to confirm

Why hold all the fragrance before the first pour? Three reasons. A single-scent corporate order cannot be finished in a different oil. If your oil arrives in two deliveries weeks apart, combining the bottles before pouring (a common practice) is not possible. And fragrance is the line most likely to be affected by a stock-out on a specific size. CSI does not publish lot-to-lot data or restock dates; if matching matters, say so when you order, and keep a retained sample from the first bottle.

Wax is different. It is the same product whether it arrives on day 1 or day 8, and it is bulky to store: 196.34 kg is roughly twenty 10 kg bags. Taking the first week's pour (six pouring days at 150 a day) on day 1 and the rest in a confirmed second delivery is reasonable, provided the second delivery date is safely before you need it. On our example that is 85.50 kg (8 × 10 kg + 1 × 5 kg + 1 × 500 g) first, then 11 × 10 kg + 1 × 1 kg.

Can the date be met? The example schedule

Material is only half of "can I accept this deadline". The other half is capacity. CSI does not publish delivery times, cure times or pour rates, so the figures below are examples to show the arithmetic. Suppose your team can pour 150 candles a day, samples and approval take 5 days, materials take 5 days to arrive, you allow a 7-day cure checkpoint before packing, and packing takes 4 days.

At 150 a day the example needs 35 days from acceptance to dispatch. If the client's date is closer than that, something has to give: a faster pour rate, a shorter cure, or a split delivery. The daily consumption columns tell you how quickly material leaves the shelf once you start: at 150 a day, about 1,236 g of oil and 14.21 kg of wax. Any wax delivery that has not arrived by the day it is needed stops the line.

When a size is out of stock

On a large single-scent order, one missing size can change the whole pack plan. The catalogue shows this clearly. Vetiver is in stock at 15 g, 50 g, 100 g and 500 g, but its 1 kg is out of stock on the pull date. If Vetiver were your client's scent, the same 17,073.28 g would have to come as 34 × 500 g + 1 × 100 g, ₹99,200.00: 35 bottles instead of 18. That is still possible, but it is exactly the kind of detail to find before you accept, not on the day you order.

Some scents are not available at all. Mogra and Rajnigandha, both natural choices for Indian gifting, are out of stock at every size on the pull date, and so are a handful of inspired-by oils. If a client asks for one of those, offer an in-stock alternative at the sampling stage. Do not accept a date on the assumption that it will be back.

The priced order

Wax choice. CSI 464 is rated up to 10% by the wax maker and priced flat at ₹507.40 a kilo. The same 196,342.72 g in Natural Soy Pearl Wax would be 3 × 50 kg + 4 × 10 kg + 1 × 5 kg + 2 × 1 kg, ₹83,736.00, which is ₹15,974.40 less and comes in fewer, larger bags. Natural Soy Pearl has no fragrance ceiling in our data, so test it at 8% in your pilot before you commit 197 kg to it. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, rated up to 13%, would cost ₹1,17,874.00.

Jars. The Yankee Glass Jar 130 ml with clear cap is ₹47.20 each. Its 130 ml is a brim volume; at a working approximation of 0.86–0.90 g of wax per ml, a brim fill is roughly 112–117 g, so 100 g should sit below the shoulder. Weigh a test pour. If the client has chosen a different container, the wax and oil figures still hold as long as the tested fill is 100 g. Per candle, the materials come to ₹141.38: ₹41.60 of fragrance, ₹46.68 of wax, ₹5.90 of wick and ₹47.20 of jar, before labour, labels, packaging, freight and GST.
