Candle Supplier Guides · Costing
Two delivery costs run through a candle business and only one of them is your supplier's. Here is where each belongs, how a single parcel charge dilutes across a bigger order, and the order size at which absorbing it stops hurting.
0.33×
what one parcel of outbound cost becomes per candle on a three-unit order · materials ₹219.62 on live CSI stock, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Where does the courier cost belong on the sheet? Below contribution, as its own line, on a per-order basis rather than per candle. On a ₹599.00 sale with ₹219.62 of materials you have ₹379.38 — 63.34% — before any of your own costs. One parcel charge comes out of that once, however many candles are in the box.

What figure should I use for the courier? Your own, and this page will not supply one. CSI does not carry your parcels to your customers, does not set that rate and has no basis for guessing it. What the page does instead is carry it algebraically: express your figure as a share of the ₹599.00 price and every table below has a row for you.

How much does a bigger order help? Exactly one over the number of units. One parcel charge is 1.00× your figure on a single-candle order, 0.50× on two, 0.33× on three, 0.20× on five. Revenue rises in a straight line and the parcel charge does not rise at all, which is the whole argument for a free-shipping threshold rather than blanket free shipping.

Is CSI's own delivery charge the same thing? No, and conflating them is the common error. CSI's rates are inbound — what it costs to get raw materials to your workshop — and they are published flat rates by weight band. A 50-candle materials order on this build weighs 26.9 kg packed and the cheapest band covering it is ₹3,500.00 as at September 2026. That belongs inside your materials cost, not in your outbound line.
The short answer
Separate the two deliveries first: Inbound freight from CSI is a real published figure and belongs inside your cost of materials. Outbound courier to your customer is yours, CSI does not set it, and it gets a blank row on every sheet on this page.
Charge it per order, not per candle: A ₹599.00 candle leaves ₹379.38 after ₹219.62 of CSI materials. One parcel charge comes out of that once. Across two candles it is halved per unit; across three, 0.33×; across five, 0.20×.
Then set a threshold rather than a promise: Decide the share of revenue you will give up to absorption, divide your courier figure by it, and that is the order value above which free shipping should switch on. The tables below do it for you.
One order of one, two and three candles at 599 rupees each, showing materials, contribution and a single parcel courier cost that does not grow with the order One parcel, one, two or three candlesRevenue and materials are to scale. The hatched block is your own outboundcost — one per parcel, the same rupees in all three rows, width shown forillustration only because the figure is yours, not CSI's.1 candle · ₹599.00absorbed per candle 1.00× your figurematerials ₹219.62 · before your own costs ₹379.382 candles · ₹1,198.00absorbed per candle 0.50× your figurematerials ₹439.24 · before your own costs ₹758.763 candles · ₹1,797.00absorbed per candle 0.33× your figurematerials ₹658.87 · before your own costs ₹1,138.13materials, live CSI pricesyour outbound cost, one per parcelThe hatched block never widens. That is the whole of free-shipping economics.Packaging, fees, advertising and fixed costs are not drawn.
What it shows: the same ₹599.00 candle sold one, two and three at a time. Revenue and the materials block are drawn to scale from live CSI prices in September 2026 — ₹219.62 a candle — while the hatched block is one parcel of your own outbound cost, which is the same rupees in every row however many candles are in the box. Its width is shown for illustration only, because the figure is yours and this page will not invent one. Deliberately left out: packaging, payment fees, advertising and fixed cost per unit, none of which CSI sells; and CSI's own inbound freight, which belongs inside the materials block rather than beside it.
Straight answer
How should the average outbound courier cost be treated on a ₹599.00 candle sold with free shipping?
As a discount, entered once per order, below contribution — and never mixed up with what your supplier charges to deliver raw materials to you. Start with what can be measured. A 150 g pour of Eco Soy CSI 400 at 8% of wax weight with Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil, a Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid and an Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) is ₹219.62 at September 2026 prices, so a ₹599.00 sale leaves ₹379.38, or 63.34%, before anything of yours comes out. Inbound freight belongs inside that materials figure: the materials for 50 of these candles weigh 26.9 kg packed, which on CSI's published bands is ₹3,500.00 in one consignment as at September 2026 — and ₹2,400.00 if the glass travels separately, a difference of ₹1,100.00 or ₹22.00 a candle. Outbound courier is the other animal entirely. CSI does not sell it, does not set it and this page gives it no figure, not even a typical one; it appears as a blank row you fill from your own courier's bill. What the page can do is tell you what happens to that figure once it is in. It is charged per parcel, so on a one-candle order the whole of it lands on one ₹599.00 sale; on two candles each carries 0.50× of it; on three, 0.33×; on five, 0.20×. Revenue rises in a straight line, the parcel charge does not rise at all, and every rupee of it you absorb on a single-unit order costs you 1.67% of that order's revenue for every ₹10.00 absorbed — against 0.56% on a three-candle order. That is why a threshold beats a blanket promise: divide your courier figure by the share of revenue you are willing to surrender and you have the order value above which free shipping should switch on. One honest note about the supplier side of it — CSI publishes no free-shipping threshold of any kind, and its shipping policy states that for all orders, shipping amount to be PAID SEPARATELY ONCE THE ORDER IS PACKED AND WEIGHED. Your inbound cost is therefore knowable in advance only if you work out the packed weight first, which is the discipline the next section is about.
One line: One parcel charge, absorbed once: 1.00× on a single candle, 0.50× on two, 0.33× on three — against ₹379.38 of contribution on a ₹599.00 sale.
₹219.62 of materials in the ₹599.00 candle this page costs. Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.00/kg, Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil at ₹4.96/g, a Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid at ₹94.40 a piece and an Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) at ₹5.90. CSI charges inbound delivery by weight band and publishes no free-shipping threshold — the packed weight of your order is what sets it.
Shop candle wax

Two delivery costs, and only one of them is your supplier’s

They arrive on different invoices, at different times, in different directions. Keep them apart.

Every candle business pays for two journeys. The first brings wax, oil, jars and wicks to your workshop; you pay it once per supplier order, it is a published rate you can look up before you buy, and it belongs inside your cost of materials. The second takes a finished candle to a customer; you pay it once per parcel, it is set by your courier and nobody else, and it belongs below contribution on the sheet. Almost every confused free-shipping calculation in Indian candle groups is one of these two wearing the other's clothes.

This page treats them accordingly. The inbound figures are real and quoted from CSI's published weight bands as at September 2026. The outbound figure is yours, appears as a blank row wherever a sheet needs it, and is never given a number here — not an average, not a typical, not a placeholder. Instead it is carried as a proportion, so that every table works whatever your courier charges. Where that proportion matters, express your own figure as a share of the ₹599.00 price and find your row.

Priced above: the inbound column uses CSI's published weight-band rates as at September 2026, worked out in the next section from the stored packed weights of the actual products. The outbound column carries no figure anywhere on this page. CSI does not deliver your candles to your customers, publishes no free-shipping threshold of any kind, and its shipping policy states that for all orders, shipping amount to be PAID SEPARATELY ONCE THE ORDER IS PACKED AND WEIGHED.
The CSI principle
Free shipping is a discount with a delivery van attached.
It reduces what you keep on a ₹599.00 sale by exactly your courier figure, once per parcel — not once per candle.

The inbound side, done on packed weight rather than product weight

The number on the label is not the number the rate bills at.

CSI charges by the weight of the parcel, and a parcel weighs more than what is inside it. A 1 kg pack of Eco Soy CSI 400 stores a packed weight of 1.5 kg; a 1 kg bottle of Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil the same. Build a freight estimate on the label weight and you will land a band or two below what you actually pay. So work it in packed kilograms from the start.

Take a run of 50 candles on this build. You need 7,500 g of wax, 600 g of oil, 50 vessels and 50 wicks. In CSI pack sizes that is a 5 kg and three 1 kg packs of Eco Soy CSI 400, a 500 gm and two 50 gm bottles of Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil, 5 packs of ten Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid and one 50-wick pack of Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) — ₹11,180.00 of goods weighing 26.9 kg packed. Glass is 15.0 kg of that, which is the single most useful thing to know about candle freight in India.

Priced above: Eco Soy CSI 400 1 kg ₹399.00 (₹399.00/kg, packed 1.5 kg), 5 kg ₹1,996.00 (₹399.20/kg, packed 6.0 kg) · Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil 50 gm ₹247.00, 500 gm ₹2,478.00 (₹4.96/g), 1 kg ₹4,956.00 (₹4.96/g) · Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid Pack of 10 ₹944.00 (₹94.40 a piece, packed 3.0 kg) · Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 50 Wicks ₹295.00 (₹5.90 a wick). Packed weights are the stored variant weights the rate actually bills against. Live CSI pricing, September 2026, taxes included.

Now the part that surprises people. At 26.9 kg the only published band covering the consignment is the Under 35 kg Expedited Shipping at ₹3,500.00 — Standard stops at 15 kg and Fast Track at 25 kg, so nothing cheaper reaches it. Send the 5 jar packs as one consignment of 15.0 kg and everything else as another of 11.9 kg, and each falls inside the Under 15kg Standard Shipping band at ₹1,200.00. Two consignments come to ₹2,400.00 against ₹3,500.00 for one, a difference of ₹1,100.00, or ₹22.00 a candle across 50.

Rates above: CSI's published flat rates by weight band, read from the store in September 2026 and quoted for the packed weights shown. Under 15kg Standard Shipping carries the published transit wording "Delivery in 10-12 Days"; Under 35 kg Expedited Shipping carries "3 Days Within Maharashtra, (4-5 days Rest of India)". Rates are merchant-set and can change — these are not standing prices. Standard stops at 15 kg, Fast Track at 25 kg, and nothing above 50 kg has a published rate at all.
DO NOT GENERALISE THE SPLIT
Splitting beat consolidating here because 26.9 kg falls just past the top of the Standard range while both halves fit inside it. That is an accident of this particular order. Band edges cut both ways and a different weight will give a different answer, so work out your own packed total and check the bands before you assume that ordering more, or less, saves anything. If you are unsure what your order will weigh, ask on WhatsApp before you check out.

Fold whichever figure you actually pay into your materials cost. On the two-consignment arrangement that is ₹48.00 a candle, taking materials from ₹219.62 to ₹267.62 and contribution on a ₹599.00 sale from ₹379.38 to ₹331.38, or 55.32%. That is the honest starting point for the outbound question, and it is already ₹48.00 lower than the figure most cost sheets begin from.

Free shipping is a price decision, not a delivery decision

Nothing about the parcel changes. What changes is who the invoice lands on.

When you advertise free shipping you have not made delivery cheaper. You have agreed to pay for it out of the ₹599.00 instead of adding it on top, which makes it a discount equal to your courier figure. Writing it that way on the sheet is the whole trick, because a discount is something a business already knows how to think about: it has a size, it has a purpose, and it should be earning something in return — a higher conversion rate, a larger basket, fewer abandoned carts.

The mistake to avoid is averaging it into the unit cost. "Roughly forty rupees a candle" feels tidy and hides the two things that actually matter: that the charge is per parcel rather than per candle, and that it therefore behaves completely differently on a one-unit order than on a three-unit one. Put it on the order, not the unit, and the rest of this page falls out of it.

Priced above: revenue is your own ₹599.00 price multiplied out. Materials are ₹219.62 a candle on live CSI prices, September 2026, itemised in the buy strip above. The inbound freight line adds ₹48.00 a candle, being the two-consignment arrangement of the previous section spread across 50 candles. Every line marked "your figure" is deliberately blank and will not be given a number on this page: CSI sells none of those things. Total your sheet as CSI materials plus your own costs, and never as a single averaged figure.
Averaging the courier into the candle. Take one parcel charge, divide it by the average basket size, subtract it from every unit and the sheet balances. It also stops telling you anything. The average hides that a single-unit order carries the whole charge while a three-unit order carries a third of it per candle, and those two orders have very different contributions — on this build, before your own costs, one candle leaves ₹331.38 and three leave ₹994.13. If most of your orders are single candles, the average flatters you. Split the report by basket size and look.
Treating your supplier's delivery charge as your delivery charge. They are different journeys, different invoices and different behaviour. Inbound is charged once per supplier order and spreads across every candle that order produces — ₹48.00 each across 50 candles here, and less across a hundred. Outbound is charged once per customer parcel and spreads across nothing but that parcel. Put inbound in materials, outbound below contribution, and never let one line carry both.

The dilution table: one parcel across one, two and three candles

One over n. That is the entire mechanism, and it is worth more than any negotiation with a courier.

Your outbound figure does not change when a second candle goes into the same box. Revenue does. So the share of revenue the charge consumes falls as one over the number of units, and it falls fast: half at two candles, a third at three, a fifth at five. The first table puts that in your own units, as a multiplier on whatever your courier bills.

Dilution · one parcel charge, larger orders
What one parcel becomes per candle as the basket grows
Candles in the order Order value Materials Absorbed per candle Cost of every ₹10.00 absorbed
1 ₹599.00 ₹219.62 1.00× your figure 1.67% of the order
2 ₹1,198.00 ₹439.24 0.50× your figure 0.83% of the order
3 ₹1,797.00 ₹658.87 0.33× your figure 0.56% of the order
4 ₹2,396.00 ₹878.49 0.25× your figure 0.42% of the order
5 ₹2,995.00 ₹1,098.11 0.20× your figure 0.33% of the order
Priced above: order value is your own ₹599.00 price multiplied out; materials are ₹219.62 a candle on live CSI prices, September 2026. The multipliers are arithmetic — one divided by the number of candles — and carry no rupee figure because the courier charge is yours. The last column is a rate of change, not an estimate of what delivery costs: it says what each ₹10.00 you absorb takes out of that order's revenue.

Read the last column once more, because it is the one that changes decisions. Every ₹10.00 you absorb on a one-candle order costs you 1.67% of that order. The same ₹10.00 on a three-candle order costs 0.56%, and on a five-candle order 0.33%. Nothing about your courier improved. You simply put more revenue behind the same charge, which is the only lever in this whole subject that you control completely.

The second table takes it further, and it is the one to keep. Work out your own courier figure as a share of the ₹599.00 price — divide the rupees by 599 — and find the nearest row. The cells give what is left of the sale after materials and after absorption, as a share of revenue, at each basket size. Materials are 36.66% of a ₹599.00 candle on this build, so every cell starts from 63.34% and loses the absorbed share from there.

After materials and absorption · share of revenue left
Your courier figure as a share of the price, against basket size
Your outbound figure 1 candle 2 candles 3 candles 4 candles 5 candles
4% of the price 59.34% 61.34% 62.00% 62.34% 62.54%
8% of the price 55.34% 59.34% 60.67% 61.34% 61.74%
12% of the price 51.34% 57.34% 59.34% 60.34% 60.94%
16% of the price 47.34% 55.34% 58.00% 59.34% 60.14%
20% of the price 43.34% 53.34% 56.67% 58.34% 59.34%
Priced above: every cell is 63.34% — what a ₹599.00 sale leaves after ₹219.62 of CSI materials, September 2026 — less the absorbed share, which is the row percentage divided by the number of candles. The row percentages are axes for you to locate your own figure on and are not estimates of courier prices; work out your own by dividing what your courier bills by 599 and read the nearest row. Packaging, fees, advertising and fixed costs are not in these figures.

The shape of that grid is the argument. A courier figure worth a fifth of the candle price takes 20.00 points off a single-candle order and only 4.00 points off a five-candle one. The same business, the same candle, the same promise — and a difference of 16.00 percentage points of margin that depends entirely on how many candles went in the box.

A parcel does not care how many candles are inside it. Your margin does.

The order size at which absorbing it stops hurting

Decide what you are willing to give up. The threshold is then a division, not an opinion.

"Stops hurting" needs a definition before it can be calculated, and the honest one is this: the share of revenue you are prepared to surrender to delivery. Call it your tolerance. If you will give up two per cent of revenue, then an order has to be worth at least fifty times your courier figure before absorption fits inside it. Three per cent needs thirty-three times, five per cent twenty times, eight per cent twelve and a half times. That is the whole rule: order value ≥ your courier figure ÷ your tolerance.

Turned into candles at ₹599.00 each it becomes a threshold you can actually publish. Express your courier figure as a share of the price again, pick your tolerance, and the table gives the smallest number of candles that satisfies it, rounded up because you cannot ship two thirds of a candle.

Minimum basket · candles at ₹599.00
How many candles an order needs before absorption fits your tolerance
Your outbound figure Tolerance 2% of revenue Tolerance 3% of revenue Tolerance 5% of revenue Tolerance 8% of revenue
4% of the price 2 → ₹1,198.00 2 → ₹1,198.00 1 → ₹599.00 1 → ₹599.00
8% of the price 4 → ₹2,396.00 3 → ₹1,797.00 2 → ₹1,198.00 1 → ₹599.00
12% of the price 6 → ₹3,594.00 4 → ₹2,396.00 3 → ₹1,797.00 2 → ₹1,198.00
16% of the price 8 → ₹4,792.00 6 → ₹3,594.00 4 → ₹2,396.00 2 → ₹1,198.00
20% of the price 10 → ₹5,990.00 7 → ₹4,193.00 4 → ₹2,396.00 3 → ₹1,797.00
Priced above: each cell is the row percentage divided by the column percentage, rounded up to a whole candle, with the order value that many candles make at your own ₹599.00 price. Both axes are the reader's own quantities — a share of the price for the courier figure, a share of revenue for the tolerance — and neither is an estimate of what anything costs. No CSI figure appears in this table.

Two practical consequences fall out of that grid and both are worth acting on. The first is that a threshold is nearly always better than a blanket promise: free shipping above the order value your own row gives you costs a known share of revenue, while free shipping on everything costs whatever your single-unit orders happen to be. The second is that the threshold has to be reachable. If your row says five candles and your typical customer buys one, the threshold is not a policy, it is a wall — and the honest fix is either a smaller second product that gets a basket over the line, or absorbing less and saying so plainly at checkout.

It is also worth pricing the alternative before you settle. Adding your courier figure to the price instead of absorbing it restores every rupee of contribution and costs you whatever conversion a visible delivery charge loses. This page cannot tell you what that is — it is your traffic, your category and your customers, and nobody at CSI has seen your checkout. What it can tell you is the exact size of what you are trading away, which is the row you just read.

Putting your own courier figure in, step by step

Five steps, one of which you cannot skip: go and read last month's bills.
1
1. Weigh a finished candle, packed to shipNot the wax, not the jar — the parcel your customer receives, with the box, the insert and the void fill in it. The fill in this build is 162 g of scented wax, and CSI publishes no per-piece weight for the Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid, so the only figure that means anything is the one on your own scales. Courier slabs are decided at the gram, and a parcel that sits just over a slab edge is the most expensive parcel you will ever send.
2
2. Get your own rate for that weight, to the places you actually sellTake that weight to your courier and get the rate for it, not a headline price. Your figure is theirs to quote and yours to record; CSI does not set it, does not see it and this page will not guess at it. Note the rate for a two-candle and a three-candle parcel at the same time, because those are the baskets the dilution table is about.

3. Express it as a share of your priceDivide the rupees by 599 and you have the row to use on this page. That one conversion is what lets you read the grids without ever writing your courier's number into a public sheet, and it keeps the arithmetic true if your price changes later.
4
4. Fold inbound freight into materials, separatelyWork out the packed weight of your next supplier order, look up the band, and divide by the candles it will make. On the 50-candle run costed above that is ₹48.00 a candle on the two-consignment arrangement, which takes materials from ₹219.62 to ₹267.62. Do this before you look at outbound, and keep the two lines apart on the sheet.

5. Split your sales report by basket size and re-read the gridPull last month's orders into one-candle, two-candle and three-or-more buckets and count them. The share of single-unit orders is the number that decides whether blanket free shipping is affordable, and almost nobody looks at it before making the promise. Then set a threshold from the table, publish it, and check the buckets again in a month.

Done in that order the whole question becomes arithmetic. Materials on this candle are ₹219.62, inbound freight adds ₹48.00, and a ₹599.00 sale leaves ₹331.38 before anything of yours. Your outbound figure comes out of that once per parcel, diluted by one over the number of candles in the box, and your threshold is your figure divided by your tolerance. Nothing in that sentence needed an average, a typical or a guess.

What CSI does and does not do about delivery

Said plainly, including the parts customers have complained about.

CSI charges inbound delivery as published flat rates by total cart weight, in three named services — Fast Track Delivery, Expedited Shipping and Standard Shipping. There is no free-shipping threshold anywhere on the store, no free-shipping code, and nothing above 50 kg carries a published rate. The shipping policy states that for all orders, shipping amount to be PAID SEPARATELY ONCE THE ORDER IS PACKED AND WEIGHED, and that you should allow 1-2 business days for order processing. Everything else about timing, couriers or particular cities is not published, and this page will not fill the gap with an estimate.

Two of the reviews on this page say the delivery charges are high, and one says they restrict how much that customer buys. That is a fair thing to have said and it is worth answering with arithmetic rather than reassurance. On the 50-candle order costed above, the goods are ₹11,180.00 and the two-consignment charge is ₹2,400.00 — 21.47% of the order value, or ₹48.00 a candle against ₹219.62 of materials. Glass is what drives it: 15.0 kg of the 26.9 kg total. A maker who sources vessels locally and buys only wax, oil and wicks from CSI would be shipping 11.9 kg and paying ₹1,200.00. That is a real option and this page would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

The published spend discounts are also worth knowing for what they are. HAPPY5 gives 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 8% over ₹12,000 and YAY10 10% over ₹20,000. They are order-value discounts on goods, not quantity breaks on rates and not delivery concessions — CSI publishes no per-kilogram quantity ladder, and on Eco Soy CSI 400 the 5 kg pack works out at ₹399.20 a kilogram against ₹399.00 at 1 kg, so the larger pack is fractionally dearer per kilogram rather than cheaper. The saving from ordering deeper is a freight saving, not a rate saving, and on this order it was ₹1,100.00 from how the consignment was arranged.

For a festive run the timing matters as much as the money. Diwali 2026 is 8 November 2026, and soy candles want 14 to 21 days of cure before they are burned or sold, so a festive batch wants pouring by about mid-October — which means the materials order, and whatever band it falls in, has to be settled well before that. If you want the packed weight of an order worked out before you commit, ask on WhatsApp.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA sells wax, fragrance oil, vessels and wicks, and this page still tells you that on the 50-candle order costed here the glass is 15.0 kg of a 26.9 kg consignment and is what drives the freight — and that a maker who sources vessels locally and buys only wax, oil and wicks from CSI would be shipping 11.9 kg. It also says plainly that arranging the same goods as two consignments rather than one was worth ₹1,100.00, that the result is an accident of this particular weight and should not be generalised, and that CSI publishes no free-shipping threshold of any kind. Two of the reviews on this page say the delivery charges are high; the arithmetic above is offered instead of an argument.

Every CSI price here is live stock in September 2026, taxes included, and the linked product pages are authoritative if anything changes. Shipping figures are CSI's published flat rates by total cart weight as read from the store in September 2026, quoted against the stored packed weights of the actual variants rather than the sizes on the labels; they are merchant-set and can change. Standard stops at 15 kg, Fast Track at 25 kg, and no rate is published above 50 kg. Your ₹599.00 selling price is yours and is used exactly as given. Your outbound courier charge is yours, is never given a figure anywhere on this page, and is carried instead as a share of the price so that every table works whatever you pay; the percentage axes in those tables are rows for you to locate yourself on, not estimates. Fragrance load is a percentage of wax weight, as CSI product pages state it: 150 g of wax at 8% carries 12 g of oil and 162 g goes into the vessel. Eco Soy CSI 400 publishes no fragrance-load maximum, so the Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil page's stated range of up to 10% for soy, paraffin and natural wax blends is the only published limit that applies to this pairing. No fill capacity is published for the Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid, so none is stated here and no claim is made that this candle fits it. Packaging, outbound courier, payment and marketplace fees, advertising, labour, electricity and rent are not CSI products and carry no figure anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Should free shipping come out of the candle or out of the order?
Out of the order, every time. Your courier bills once per parcel, so a two-candle order carries the same charge as a one-candle order and each candle absorbs half of it. On this build a ₹599.00 sale leaves ₹379.38 after ₹219.62 of CSI materials, or ₹331.38 once the inbound freight line adds ₹48.00 a candle, and your outbound figure comes out of that once.
What is a reasonable courier cost to assume?
None, and this page will not name one. CSI does not deliver your candles to your customers, does not set that rate and would be inventing a figure. Get the rate from your own courier for a packed parcel you have actually weighed, express it as a share of your ₹599.00 price, and read the row that matches in the tables above.
Is CSI's delivery charge part of my cost per candle?
Yes, and it belongs inside materials rather than beside them. The 50-candle order costed here weighs 26.9 kg packed; as one consignment the only band covering it is ₹3,500.00 and as two it is ₹2,400.00, which is ₹48.00 a candle. That takes materials from ₹219.62 to ₹267.62. Spread across a larger run it falls further, which is a genuine scale effect — unlike the per-kilogram rate, which on most CSI waxes does not move with pack size at all.
Does CSI offer free shipping over a certain order value?
No. There is no free-shipping threshold on the store, no free-shipping code and no rate priced at zero. What is published is a set of order-value discounts on goods: HAPPY5 for 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 for 8% over ₹12,000 and YAY10 for 10% over ₹20,000. Those reduce the goods total, not the weight-band charge.
Will ordering more always reduce my inbound freight per candle?
Usually, but not always, and never assume it. The bands are flat rates with edges, and a consignment that lands just past an edge can cost more than one arranged differently — on this order, 26.9 kg in one consignment was ₹3,500.00 while the same goods in two were ₹2,400.00. Work out your own packed total, check the bands, and ask on WhatsApp if you are unsure.
What should I do if most of my orders are single candles?
Take blanket free shipping seriously as a discount, because on a one-candle order you absorb 1.00× of your courier figure against a single ₹599.00 sale. Every ₹10.00 absorbed costs 1.67% of that order against 0.56% on a three-candle one. The options are a threshold your customers can actually reach, a smaller second product that lifts the basket, or charging delivery openly. Pick one deliberately rather than discovering it in a monthly total.

About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. The method — separate inbound freight from outbound courier, fold inbound into materials on the packed weight of the order, charge outbound once per parcel rather than per candle, and set a free-shipping threshold by dividing your courier figure by the share of revenue you will surrender — works with any supplier, any courier and any currency.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on their product pages. Two are below five stars and three are not recorded as a verified purchase — shown as recorded. Figures verified September 2026 (CSI live pricing). The reader's figures, used exactly as given and never presented as CSI prices: a ₹599.00 selling price and a free-shipping offer. The reader's outbound courier charge carries no figure anywhere on this page and is represented only as a share of that price; the percentage axes in the dilution, share-of-revenue and minimum-basket tables are rows for the reader to locate themselves on, not estimates of what delivery costs. Series convention: fragrance load is a percentage of wax weight, so the costing unit is 150 g of wax plus 12 g of oil at 8%, 162 g poured; that is the reading carried throughout. Live CSI prices, September 2026, taxes included. Wax: Eco Soy CSI 400 1 kg ₹399.00 (₹399.00/kg, packed 1.5 kg), 5 kg ₹1,996.00 (₹399.20/kg, packed 6.0 kg); the page publishes no fragrance-load maximum. Fragrance: Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil 50 gm ₹247.00, 100 gm ₹495.00 (₹4.95/g), 500 gm ₹2,478.00 (₹4.96/g, packed 0.8 kg), 1 kg ₹4,956.00 (₹4.96/g); the page states use up to 10% for soy, paraffin and natural wax blends, a flash point of 143°C and 0% vanillin. Vessel: Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid Pack of 10 ₹944.00 (₹94.40 a piece, packed 3.0 kg); no fill capacity is published for it, so none is stated here. Wick: Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 50 Wicks ₹295.00 and 500 Wicks ₹2,950.00, both ₹5.90 a wick; Thick (C2) ₹9.44 each. Shipping: CSI's published flat rates by total cart weight, read from the store in September 2026 — the 50-candle order weighs 26.9 kg packed and is covered only by the Under 35 kg Expedited Shipping band at ₹3,500.00, while 15.0 kg and 11.9 kg each fall in the Under 15kg Standard Shipping band at ₹1,200.00. Published order-value discount codes quoted: HAPPY5 5% over ₹5,000, BIZWIZ8 8% over ₹12,000, YAY10 10% over ₹20,000. There is no free-shipping threshold on the store. Diwali 2026 is 8 November 2026. The page assumes no wax wastage and that every candle in the 50-candle run is saleable, both assumptions rather than measurements. Packaging, outbound courier, payment and marketplace fees, advertising, labour, electricity and rent are not CSI products. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
