Reviews collected and published through Judge.me on candlemakingsuppliesindia.store. Two of the six are on Woody Oud Fragrance Oil and one on Dark Vanilla Oud; the remaining three are on British Rose Fragrance Oil, Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 and Sacred Sandal Ember. The four Royal-line ouds — Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, White Royal Oud and Amber Oud Royal — have no published reviews at all, and none has been written for them here. Three reviews are shortened with an ellipsis; wording is otherwise unedited. No review on this page mentions a wholesale rate, a trade account or a negotiated price, because none exists to mention.

Commercial Fragrance · Oud · Kilogram Pricing
CSI stocks seven oud fragrance oils. The cheapest kilogram is ₹4,531.20 and the dearest ₹12,000 — a gap of ₹7,468.80 on one kilogram. There is one price ladder, the same for everyone, so the lever that moves real money is which oud you name.
₹7,468.80
the gap between the cheapest and the dearest oud kilogram — 164.8% of the cheapest oil's own price · CSI live pricing, September 2026 · the linked product page is always authoritative
Quick answers — read this first
What is the 1 kg price of oud fragrance oil at CSI? It depends entirely on which oud. Woody Oud ₹4,531.20/kg · Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691 · Royal Oud ₹6,400 · Regal Royal Oud ₹6,500 · White Royal Oud ₹8,103 · Amber Oud Royal ₹11,640 · Lavender Oud ₹12,000. Those are the listed prices and there is no second set.

Is there a trade rate, a slab or a rate card? No. CSI publishes one price ladder and every buyer pays it — no trade tier, no rate card, no volume slab, no published MOQ, no credit term. You can ask for a quote on WhatsApp on a large recurring requirement, and the honest possibility is that the answer is the listed price.

So where is the saving? In the name of the oil. Moving from Lavender Oud to Woody Oud saves ₹7,468.80 per kilogram — to match that with a discount you would need 62.2% off the dearest oud.

Does the kilogram itself save money? Barely, and on two ouds not at all. Woody Oud's kilogram saves exactly ₹0 against two 500 g packs; White Royal Oud's and Dark Vanilla Oud's are ₹1 dearer. The real breaks sit at the top of the range, not the bottom.
The short answer
One ladder, no tiers: 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg where the oil stocks them, and nothing above 1 kg anywhere in the catalogue. No trade rate card, no slab, no MOQ, no credit term. Quotes on WhatsApp for recurring volume, with no promise attached.
Where the money is: the oil (₹119.50 per 200 g candle between cheapest and dearest oud at 8%), the vessel, then the load inside your wax's stated ceiling. The kilogram step itself is worth between −₹1 and +₹400.

The top bar is 2.65 times the length of the bottom one, and every bar is labelled oud. That is the whole argument on this page: the distance between the first and last row is ₹7,468.80 per kilogram, which no discount on any single oil can come close to. Per-gram figures are the 1 kg variant price divided by 1,000 — a writer's calculation, not a price shown on the site.
Straight answer
What is the wholesale price of 1 kg of oud fragrance oil in India?
At CSI there is no separate wholesale price, because there is one published ladder and every buyer pays the same figure on it. For a kilogram of oud that figure is ₹4,531.20 for Woody Oud, ₹5,691 for Dark Vanilla Oud, ₹6,400 for Royal Oud, ₹6,500 for Regal Royal Oud, ₹8,103 for White Royal Oud, ₹11,640 for Amber Oud Royal and ₹12,000 for Lavender Oud. Read those as a range: ₹4,531.20 to ₹12,000 for one kilogram of something every listing calls oud. The gap is ₹7,468.80 — 164.8% of the cheapest oil's entire price. A buyer who writes to five suppliers asking "what is your wholesale rate for 1 kg oud" and compares the replies has compared nothing, because none of the five has said which oud. Naming the oil is the negotiation. There is no trade tier, slab, rate card, published MOQ or credit term to unlock — you can ask for a quote on a large recurring requirement and may be told the listed price stands. Below is what you can change instead, ranked by the money it moves. Related: the complete wholesale buyer's guide.
One line: "the wholesale price of oud" is not a number — it is a ₹7,468.80-wide band across seven oils, and choosing inside that band beats any discount you could ask for.
Four of the seven ouds have no 15 g or 50 g variant, so 100 g is the cheapest way to sample them. All seven at 100 g is ₹5,750.12; the smallest variant each oil actually stocks brings it to ₹4,225.24. Both are less than one kilogram of the dearest oud.

Seven ouds, one word, a ₹7,468.80 gap

Every enquiry that begins "what's your best rate on oud" is asking about a price band ₹7,468.80 wide and hoping the answer is a single figure.

The whole oud shelf, cheapest kilogram first, with every variant CSI stocks. A blank cell means the oil does not ship in that size — not an omission, the ladder. CSI live pricing, September 2026; the linked product page is authoritative.

Every CSI oud · full variant ladder · September 2026
Cheapest kilogram first. The last column is the 1 kg price divided by 1,000.
Oud 15 g 50 g 100 g 500 g 1 kg ₹ / g at 1 kg
Woody Oud ₹93.22 ₹271.40 ₹453.12 ₹2,265.60 ₹4,531.20 ₹4.531
Dark Vanilla Oud ₹105.02 ₹320.00 ₹590.00 ₹2,845.00 ₹5,691.00 ₹5.691
Royal Oud — — ₹699.00 ₹3,300.00 ₹6,400.00 ₹6.400
Regal Royal Oud — — ₹699.00 ₹3,299.00 ₹6,500.00 ₹6.500
White Royal Oud ₹130.00 ₹420.00 ₹810.00 ₹4,051.00 ₹8,103.00 ₹8.103
Amber Oud Royal — — ₹1,299.00 ₹5,999.00 ₹11,640.00 ₹11.640
Lavender Oud — — ₹1,200.00 ₹6,200.00 ₹12,000.00 ₹12.000

Now the arithmetic the enquiry never does. ₹12,000 − ₹4,531.20 = ₹7,468.80. Against the cheapest oil that is 164.8% — its entire price over again. As a discount extracted from the dearest oud, 62.2% off. Nobody hands anybody 62.2%, and a supplier who offers it has substituted something. The choice between two listings on one shelf beats any negotiation on either.

There is no hidden rate card, and saying so is the point of this page. CSI publishes one ladder per oil, the same for a first-time buyer of 100 g and a studio buying by the kilogram every month. There is no trade tier, no wholesale rate card, no volume slab, no published minimum order quantity and no credit term, and nothing is gated behind a GST number. With a large repeating requirement you are welcome to send the numbers on WhatsApp. What this page will not do is imply a better number waits behind the enquiry.
Royal Oud and Regal Royal Oud are two different oils
₹100 apart at the kilogram — ₹6,400 against ₹6,500 — identical at ₹699 for 100 g, one rupee apart at 500 g. Reconciling quotes or invoices, these two are the pair most likely to be mixed up. Check the handle, not the name: royal-oud-the-epitome-of-refined-luxury and regal-royal-oud.

Sampling matters more here than on most shelves, because four of the seven — Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, Amber Oud Royal and Lavender Oud — have no 15 g and no 50 g variant, so 100 g is the cheapest way in. All seven at 100 g is ₹5,750.12 (₹453.12 + ₹590 + ₹699 + ₹699 + ₹810 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,200); taking the smallest variant each actually stocks — 15 g of Woody Oud, Dark Vanilla Oud and White Royal Oud at ₹93.22, ₹105.02 and ₹130 plus 100 g of the other four — costs ₹4,225.24. Both are less than one kilogram of Lavender Oud.

The volume step runs backwards on this shelf

A buyer whose first instinct is "buy the kilogram" and whose second is "buy the cheapest oud" will find both pointing at the flattest pricing in the set. Here is the kilogram against two 500 g packs, then against ten 100 g packs.

Does the kilogram actually save anything?
Same order of oils as above. A negative figure means the kilogram costs more.
Oud 2 × 500 g 10 × 100 g 1 kg kg vs 2 × 500 g kg vs 10 × 100 g
Woody Oud ₹4,531.20 ₹4,531.20 ₹4,531.20 ₹0.00 ₹0.00
Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,690.00 ₹5,900.00 ₹5,691.00 −₹1.00 +₹209.00 (3.54%)
Royal Oud ₹6,600.00 ₹6,990.00 ₹6,400.00 +₹200.00 (3.03%) +₹590.00 (8.44%)
Regal Royal Oud ₹6,598.00 ₹6,990.00 ₹6,500.00 +₹98.00 (1.49%) +₹490.00 (7.01%)
White Royal Oud ₹8,102.00 ₹8,100.00 ₹8,103.00 −₹1.00 −₹3.00
Amber Oud Royal ₹11,998.00 ₹12,990.00 ₹11,640.00 +₹358.00 (2.98%) +₹1,350.00 (10.39%)
Lavender Oud ₹12,400.00 ₹12,000.00 ₹12,000.00 +₹400.00 (3.23%) ₹0.00

Read the first volume column. Woody Oud's kilogram saves exactly ₹0 against two 500 g packs — ₹2,265.60 doubled is ₹4,531.20, the kilogram price to the paisa. Dark Vanilla Oud's is ₹1 dearer (₹5,691 against ₹5,690) and White Royal Oud's ₹1 dearer too (₹8,103 against ₹8,102). The only meaningful breaks sit on the two dearest ouds: Lavender Oud saves ₹400, Amber Oud Royal ₹358. Hunt "wholesale oud" at the cheap end and you find the flattest pricing on the shelf.

The second column is stranger. Against ten 100 g bottles, Amber Oud Royal's kilogram saves ₹1,350 — 10.39%, the biggest break on this shelf; Royal Oud ₹590, Regal Royal Oud ₹490. But Lavender Oud's kilogram is exactly the price of ten 100 g bottles (₹1,200 × 10), Woody Oud's likewise, and White Royal Oud's is ₹3 dearer than ten (₹8,103 against ₹8,100). On three of the seven the kilogram carries no price argument at all.

Do not buy the Woody Oud kilogram to save money, because it does not save you any. Woody Oud is ₹4.5312 per gram at 100 g, at 500 g and at 1 kg — flat across all three commercial sizes, its only per-gram step falling between 50 g (₹5.43/g) and 100 g (₹4.53/g). If you are not certain of using a full kilogram inside your working horizon, buy 100 g at a time and lose nothing but shelf space. The opposite of the advice a supplier is meant to give, and what the numbers say.
₹7,000 for 1 g is not a fragrance-oil price — it is an attar
A search for "oud oil wholesale price" surfaces a listing at ₹7,000 for 1 g of pure Hindi oud. That is an attar — a perfumer's material, not a candle fragrance oil, and it does not belong in a candle costing. Beside Woody Oud's ₹4.5312 per gram it is roughly 1,544 times the price. Compare an attar against candle fragrance oil and the spreadsheet tells you something absurd. Excluded from every table here, and not linked.

What a 200 g oud candle actually costs, twice

A per-kilogram price tells you nothing until it is divided by the candles it makes and set beside the glass it is poured into.

The same 200 g container candle costed twice, once on Woody Oud and once on Amber Oud Royal, every line from CSI live stock: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40/kg, an Eco Candle Wick Thin (C1) at ₹5.90 from the wick range, a wick sticker at ₹2.50, a 200 ml Salsa Glass Jar at ₹29.50 in a pack of 100 and a care sticker at ₹0.83. Fragrance is 8% of total candle weight: 16 g oil, 184 g wax, inside CSI 464's stated ceiling of up to 10%.

Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 @ ₹0.5074/g 184 g ₹93.36 ₹93.36
Fragrance oil @ 8% 16 g ₹72.50 (₹4.5312/g) ₹186.24 (₹11.64/g)

Candle care sticker (₹413 / 500) 1 ₹0.83 ₹0.83
Total materials per candle — ₹204.59 ₹318.33
Fragrance as a share of materials — 35.4% 58.5%

One line changed and the candle costs ₹113.74 more; fragrance goes from a third of the bill to nearly three-fifths. Over a 500-candle festive run that is ₹56,870, and across the full seven-oud spread — ₹72.50 against ₹192.00 — ₹119.50 per candle, ₹59,750 over 500 candles. Beside it, the ₹400 Lavender Oud's kilogram saves is ₹6.40 per candle. Volume pricing is rounding. The oil is the decision.

One convention, stated plainly
Every percentage here is fragrance as a share of total finished candle weight, as CSI's own pages state it: 16 g oil and 184 g wax in a 200 g candle at 8%. A percentage of the wax gives 14.72 g instead — about ₹5.80 less on Woody Oud, ₹14.90 on Amber Oud Royal. Different orders. Put the convention on your recipe sheet and weigh rather than measure: a scale at ₹354 is what makes a load repeatable. See how much a business needs.

The three levers that actually reduce the cost, ranked by money moved

A discount you cannot get is not a lever. These three are, ranked by the rupees they move on one 200 g candle rather than by how satisfying they feel to pull.

1
The vessel — up to ₹182.90 per candle, and the hardest one to pullThe same 200 g of wax and oil can go into a 200 ml Salsa Glass Jar at ₹29.50 each in a pack of 100, or an Apothecary Glass Candle Jar with Dome Lid at ₹212.40 in the 500 g fill-capacity size — ₹182.90 of spread on one line, more than the whole oud range moves. And the finding worth sitting with: on the Woody Oud build the fragrance costs ₹72.50, so that jar is 2.93 times the price of the fragrance inside it. Swap it in and materials go from ₹204.59 to ₹387.49, fragrance falling from 35.4% of the bill to 18.7%. An oud line rarely ships in the cheapest glass, which is why the vessel deserves auditing before the oil — and it is the lever you are least free to pull, because the glass is what the customer sees. Browse the container range and check each listing's stated fill capacity against your pour weight.
2
The oil — ₹119.50 per candle across the oud shelf, and free to pullAt 8% in a 200 g candle the seven ouds put ₹72.50, ₹91.06, ₹102.40, ₹104.00, ₹129.65, ₹186.24 and ₹192.00 of fragrance into the jar. The spread is ₹119.50 a candle and the decision costs nothing — no minimum, no negotiation. This is the lever most buyers skip, because the scent name was decided before they looked at the shelf. Read what differs between a cheap and a premium oil before assuming the ₹12,000 kilogram performs better in your wax.
3
The load — ₹32.19 on Woody Oud, ₹89.06 on Amber Oud Royal, and capped by the waxInside CSI 464's stated ceiling of up to 10%, a 200 g candle can run at 6%, 8% or 10%. On Woody Oud the wax-plus-oil cost is ₹149.77, ₹165.86 and ₹181.96 — a spread of only ₹32.19, because every gram of oil displaces a gram of much cheaper wax. On Amber Oud Royal: ₹235.07, ₹279.60, ₹324.13, a spread of ₹89.06. Real, but the smallest lever and the only one with a hard limit: 10% is the stated maximum for CSI 464, 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks — formulation limits set by the wax makers, not regulatory limits, and not interchangeable. 13% does not apply to CSI 464. Work to the figure on the wax you bought, and treat a load cut as a throw decision you verify by burning.
The CSI principle
The discount you are asking for is worth less than the decision you have not made yet.
Vessel ₹182.90. Oil ₹119.50. Load ₹32.19. Kilogram-versus-two-500 g, at its best on this shelf, ₹6.40 a candle. A wholesale slab that does not exist: ₹0. Everything above that last line is under your control today.
Working back from Diwali on 8 November 2026: an oud candle wants a long cure, so festive fragrance needs deciding now, not in October. GST invoicing, IFRA and MSDS documentation, and quotes on recurring volume are handled on WhatsApp — with no promise of a better number than the listing.

Where the oud band sits in the 92-oil catalogue

Oud feels like an expensive family, and at the top of the range it is. But the catalogue is wider in both directions, and seeing the band in context stops you over-paying for the word. Fragrance cost below is one 200 g candle at 8% — 16 g of oil — at 1 kg pricing.

The oud band against the catalogue extremes
Fragrance cost only — no wax, jar, wick or packaging
Oil 1 kg ₹ / g Per 200 g candle @ 8% Against Woody Oud
Citrus Lemon — cheapest oil in the catalogue ₹2,832.00 ₹2.832 ₹45.31 0.63×
Woody Oud — cheapest oud ₹4,531.20 ₹4.531 ₹72.50 1.00×
Sandalwood — the other Indian woody staple ₹5,026.80 ₹5.027 ₹80.43 1.11×
Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691.00 ₹5.691 ₹91.06 1.26×
White Royal Oud ₹8,103.00 ₹8.103 ₹129.65 1.79×
Lavender Oud — dearest oud ₹12,000.00 ₹12.000 ₹192.00 2.65×
Club De Nuit Intense inspired — dearest oil in the catalogue ₹24,056.00 ₹24.056 ₹384.90 5.31×

The cheapest oud is 1.60 times the catalogue's cheapest oil and the dearest is 4.24 times it — but the catalogue's dearest oil is twice again the dearest oud. Oud is a wide band in the upper-middle of the range, not the ceiling. If your costing has stalled on ₹4,531.20 against ₹6,400, that argument is worth ₹29.90 a candle.

Woody oud · the volume oud
Woody Oud Fragrance Oil
The cheapest oud kilogram on the shelf, the only one with two published verified reviews, and the flattest-priced: ₹4.5312 per gram at 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg, so there is no volume argument for the bigger bottle. Royal line · no 15 g or 50 g
Royal Oud — The Epitome of Refined Luxury
The entry point to the Royal line, and the oil most often confused with Regal Royal Oud — ₹100 apart at the kilogram, identical at ₹699 for 100 g. With no 15 g or 50 g variant, 100 g at ₹699 is the smallest test purchase. Its kilogram carries a real break against ten 100 g bottles: ₹6,400 against ₹6,990, saving ₹590. CSI publishes no comparative performance test between the Royal line and Woody Oud — the name is positioning, not a quality guarantee.

Amber oud · the only real volume break
Amber Oud Royal — Opulence Redefined
The one oud where buying big genuinely pays. The kilogram at ₹11,640 saves ₹1,350 against ten 100 g bottles — 10.39%, the largest break on the shelf — and ₹358 against two 500 g packs. That ₹1,350 is ₹1.35 a gram, or ₹21.60 per 200 g candle at 8%. It is also the second-dearest oud, so the saving comes attached to the second-highest fragrance cost per candle: ₹186.24 against ₹72.50.
Size Price Per gram 200 g candles @ 8%
15 g not stocked — —
50 g not stocked — —
100 g ₹1,299.00 ₹12.99 6
500 g ₹5,999.00 ₹12.00 31
1 kg ₹11,640.00 ₹11.64 62
₹186.24 of fragrance per 200 g candle at 8% Buy Amber Oud Royal

Now the quantity question the kilogram search is really about. One kilogram makes 62 candles of 200 g at an 8% load — 1,000 ÷ 16 = 62.5, so 62 candles with 8 g left in the bottle. At 100 g you get 6 and at 500 g 31, identically for every oil, because the arithmetic is on grams and not rupees.

The threshold at which the kilogram becomes the right tier differs at each end of the range, and at one end it does not exist. On Woody Oud there is no price threshold: 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg are all ₹4.5312 per gram, so the kilogram is a stock-holding choice — buy it if you will pour 62 oud candles and would rather not reorder, or 100 g six times if you would rather hold the cash. On Amber Oud Royal it is sharp: the kilogram saves ₹1,350 against ten 100 g bottles, so it is right the moment you are confident of a 62-candle run. Between them, Royal Oud's kilogram is worth ₹590 (₹9.44 a candle), Regal Royal Oud's ₹490. On Lavender Oud and White Royal Oud, do not buy the kilogram for price.
There is no pack above 1 kg anywhere in the catalogue
Across all 92 oils the ladder is at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg — no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg pack, no drum. 5 kg of Woody Oud is 5 × ₹4,531.20 = ₹22,656 as five separate 1 kg bottles, 10 kg ₹45,312; 5 kg of Lavender Oud is ₹60,000. The price does not fall automatically above 1 kg. Ask for a quote rather than assume a rate exists, and budget on the multiplied figure. See buying in bulk.
Woody Oud at ₹4.531 a gram makes a genuinely good oud candle. We sell the ₹12,000 kilogram too, and we have published no test showing it performs better in your wax.
— CandleMakingSuppliesIndia

Let that stand on its own. The Royal line is a positioning choice. Royal, Regal Royal, White Royal and Amber Oud Royal describe a market tier and a composition, at ₹6,400 to ₹11,640 per kilogram. CSI publishes no comparative throw test, no burn test and no performance ranking between them and Woody Oud, and this page invents none. The published record here is two verified reviews on Woody Oud and one unverified review on Dark Vanilla Oud; the four Royal-line ouds have none. That is the state of the evidence, not a criticism — the only test that counts is yours, and the ₹5,750.12 sample set is the cheapest insurance against a ₹12,000 decision made on a name. Method: the 2026 round-up.

What to ask a supplier instead of "what's your wholesale price"

A price quoted once is not a cost. A cost is a price you can repeat, invoice, document and reorder against. Five things worth asking any fragrance supplier, CSI included.

The five questions · and where each one lands in your costing
None of them is "what's your best rate"
Ask Why it changes your cost
Is the oil consistent batch to batch? A composition that shifts between batches means re-testing wick and load on every reorder, and customers noticing that this month's candle is not last month's. Bench time, rejected pours and returns — none of it in the per-kilogram price. Keep one sealed retained sample per purchase so you have something to smell against.
Is IFRA and MSDS documentation available? That documentation states usage guidance per application, and it is what a retailer, marketplace or corporate-gifting buyer will ask you for. An oil you cannot document caps the channels you can sell through — a revenue cost, not a materials one. CSI supplies IFRA and MSDS documentation on request.
Do you invoice with GST? If you are registered, a proper tax invoice is the difference between fragrance being an input cost and fragrance being a sunk expense. Ask before the first order, not at year end. CSI invoices with GST.
Will this oil still be stocked in three months? The most expensive fragrance decision a candle business makes is building a hero product on an oil that disappears. Relaunching it costs new samples, new photography, new listings and the goodwill of everyone who reordered. Ask about continuity before you ask about rate.
Which pack sizes does this oil actually ship in? Four of CSI's seven ouds have no 15 g and no 50 g variant, so on those four the cheapest possible test is ₹699 to ₹1,299 rather than ₹93. That changes your development budget before it changes production cost.

Notice what is absent. There is no question about a trade tier, because CSI does not publish one — and a supplier who does publish slabs is not thereby cheaper, they have moved the same decision into another column. What you can do here is send a real requirement — oud, quantity, frequency, date — and get a quote plus a straight answer on stock and lead time. Of CSI's 92 fragrance oils seven are ouds; two have published reviews, four skip both small sizes, three have no price advantage at the kilogram. That is why a single "wholesale price of oud" cannot exist: not because anything is withheld, but because there is no single product to price. The rate was never the variable. Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and this page says that the cheapest oud on our shelf makes a genuinely good candle and that our ₹12,000 kilogram comes with no published test proving otherwise. It also says not to buy the Woody Oud kilogram to save money, because at ₹4.5312 per gram at 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg it does not save you any. Not comfortable sentences for a supplier to publish; they are the ones the numbers support.

On pricing structure, plainly: CSI publishes one price ladder per product, the same for every buyer. There is no trade tier, no wholesale rate card, no volume slab, no published minimum order quantity and no credit term, and nothing here should be read as hinting one exists behind an enquiry. Every ₹ figure is a live CSI variant price from September 2026 or a stated calculation from those prices, and the linked product page is always authoritative. Per-gram figures are the variant price divided by its weight — a comparison calculation, not a price shown on the site.

Fragrance load ceilings quoted here — up to 10% for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, up to 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks — are the wax manufacturers' stated formulation limits describing how much oil each wax is built to hold. They are not regulatory limits and they are not interchangeable between waxes. Frequently asked questions

What is the wholesale price of 1 kg oud fragrance oil in India?
One published price per kilogram per oil, the same for every buyer. Woody Oud ₹4,531.20 · Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691 · Royal Oud ₹6,400 · Regal Royal Oud ₹6,500 · White Royal Oud ₹8,103 · Amber Oud Royal ₹11,640 · Lavender Oud ₹12,000. There is no separate wholesale rate card, trade tier, volume slab, published MOQ or credit term. Because those seven span ₹7,468.80, "the wholesale price of oud" has no single answer until you name the oil — and naming it is worth more than any discount.
Do I get a better rate if I buy oud by the kilogram every month?
CSI has published no recurring-volume rate, so the honest answer is that the listed price is what you budget on. You are welcome to send your requirement on WhatsApp — oil, quantity, frequency, dates — and you may be told the listed figure stands. What is available without asking anybody is the ₹7,468.80-per-kilogram spread between cheapest and dearest oud, and ₹182.90 per candle across the container range.
How many candles does 1 kg of oud fragrance oil make?
62 candles of 200 g at an 8% fragrance load — 1,000 g ÷ 16 g = 62.5, so 62 finished candles and 8 g left over. At 100 g you get 6 and at 500 g 31. Percentages are of total finished candle weight, as CSI states them: 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax. A percentage of the wax instead gives 14.72 g — state the convention on your recipe sheet, because the two produce different orders.
Is the 1 kg pack cheaper per gram than two 500 g packs?
Not reliably, and on this shelf sometimes not at all. Woody Oud's kilogram saves exactly ₹0 against two 500 g packs, and Dark Vanilla Oud's and White Royal Oud's are each ₹1 dearer. The real breaks sit at the top: Lavender Oud saves ₹400, Amber Oud Royal ₹358, Royal Oud ₹200, Regal Royal Oud ₹98. Against ten 100 g bottles instead, Amber Oud Royal's kilogram saves ₹1,350 (10.39%), Lavender Oud's ₹0, and White Royal Oud's is ₹3 dearer.
Is Woody Oud good enough for a premium oud candle line?
It makes a genuinely good oud candle, and it is the only oud on the shelf with two published verified reviews. CSI publishes no comparative performance test between Woody Oud and the Royal line, and this page invents none — the Royal names describe a market tier and a composition, not a measured advantage. Buy 100 g of the ones you are considering, pour identical candles in your own wax, jar and wick, cure them fully and burn them side by side. Sampling all seven at 100 g costs ₹5,750.12, less than one kilogram of the dearest.

About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. Product recommendations reflect the CSI range; the spread arithmetic, bill-of-materials method and supplier questions apply to any supplier.

Pricing structure: CSI publishes one price ladder per product, identical for every buyer. There is no trade tier, wholesale rate card, volume slab, published minimum order quantity or credit term, and nothing on this page should be read as implying one exists. Quotes on large recurring requirements are available on WhatsApp with no promise of a figure below the listed price.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on their product pages. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me; three are shortened with an ellipsis and are otherwise unedited. Products reviewed: Woody Oud Fragrance Oil (Payal Patel, 5★, verified; Renam Dhoundiyal, 4★, verified), Dark Vanilla Oud (Suman Bisht, 5★, not verified), British Rose Fragrance Oil (Emma Bechara, 5★, not verified), Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (Jaya Sawlani, 5★, verified) and Sacred Sandal Ember (Urvashi Patel, 4★, verified). "Verified buyer" is badged only where Judge.me recorded the review as verified. Royal Oud, Regal Royal Oud, White Royal Oud and Amber Oud Royal have no published reviews, and none has been written for them. No review quoted mentions a wholesale rate, trade account or negotiated price.

Figures verified September 2026 (CSI live pricing): Oud 1 kg prices — Woody Oud ₹4,531.20 · Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691 · Royal Oud ₹6,400 · Regal Royal Oud ₹6,500 · White Royal Oud ₹8,103 · Amber Oud Royal ₹11,640 · Lavender Oud ₹12,000. Spread ₹12,000 − ₹4,531.20 = ₹7,468.80, which is 164.8% of ₹4,531.20 and 62.2% of ₹12,000; ratio 2.65×. Per-gram figures are the 1 kg price ÷ 1,000. Kilogram versus two 500 g packs: Woody Oud ₹0, Dark Vanilla Oud −₹1, White Royal Oud −₹1, Regal Royal Oud +₹98, Royal Oud +₹200, Amber Oud Royal +₹358, Lavender Oud +₹400. Kilogram versus ten 100 g packs: Woody Oud ₹0, Lavender Oud ₹0, White Royal Oud −₹3, Dark Vanilla Oud +₹209, Regal Royal Oud +₹490, Royal Oud +₹590, Amber Oud Royal +₹1,350. Sampling all seven at 100 g = ₹453.12 + ₹590 + ₹699 + ₹699 + ₹810 + ₹1,299 + ₹1,200 = ₹5,750.12; smallest stocked variant of each = ₹4,225.24. Bill of materials, 200 g candle at 8% (16 g oil, 184 g wax): Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40/kg (₹0.5074/g) = ₹93.36 · 200 ml Salsa Glass Jar ₹2,950 per 100 (₹29.50 each) · Eco Candle Wicks Thin C1 ₹590 per 100 (₹5.90 each) · Candle Wick Stickers ₹100 per sheet of 40 (₹2.50 each) · Candle Care Stickers Roll ₹413 per 500 (₹0.83 each); totals ₹204.59 on Woody Oud (fragrance 35.4%) and ₹318.33 on Amber Oud Royal (fragrance 58.5%). Premium-vessel variant: Apothecary Glass Candle Jar with Dome Lid, 500 g fill capacity, ₹212.40 — total ₹387.49, fragrance 18.7%, jar 2.93× the fragrance cost. Load arithmetic on wax + oil only: Woody Oud ₹149.77 at 6%, ₹165.86 at 8%, ₹181.96 at 10%; Amber Oud Royal ₹235.07, ₹279.60, ₹324.13. Catalogue extremes: Citrus Lemon ₹2,832/kg (₹2.832/g) and Club De Nuit Intense inspired ₹24,056/kg (₹24.056/g); at 16 g that is ₹45.31 and ₹384.90. Sandalwood ₹5,026.80/kg (₹80.43 per candle at 8%). Multi-kilogram arithmetic: no fragrance-oil pack above 1 kg exists in the 92-oil catalogue; 5 kg Woody Oud = 5 × ₹4,531.20 = ₹22,656, 10 kg = ₹45,312, supplied as separate 1 kg bottles. Fragrance load ceilings are wax manufacturers' stated formulation limits, not regulatory limits — up to 10% for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 and up to 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks; the 13% figure does not apply to CSI 464. The ₹7,000-per-gram pure Hindi oud listing is an attar, not a candle fragrance oil, and is excluded from every comparison here; ₹7,000 ÷ ₹4.5312 ≈ 1,544. Where a container's fill capacity is not published, check the product listing against your pour weight rather than assuming it. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November.
