If your range leans on heavy oils you may want above 10%, Luxury Soy Wax Chunks state 8–13% for ₹5,999 per 10 kg. For a premium range, Coconut Soy CSI 468 is ₹6,370 per 10 kg, stated up to 13% with a 58–60°C pour. The page states the widest documented window of any CSI soy wax — 8% starting point, 10% recommended, 13% maximum — with fragrance added at 80–90°C, a two-minute stir, a pour of 75–80°C in its specification table (70–80°C in its method), and a cure of at least 48 hours, ideally one to two weeks, before burn tests. For the range you price highest. The page states a coconut-soy blend for single-pour containers, a load of up to 13%, a melt of 50–53°C, a pour of 58–60°C and a 60-month shelf life. It is also one of only two soy waxes here whose per-kilo price falls at 5 kg and above — ₹650/kg at 1 kg, ₹637/kg at 5 kg and 10 kg — so the award comes with a small bulk reward. The page describes an all-natural container wax in chunks, often setting in one pour, with fragrance added at 80–90°C (85°C), stirred gently for two minutes and poured directly, and it recommends Eco Wicks. What it does not state is a fragrance load, so the margin award is conditional: pour a cured test at 8% before a line depends on it. The largest pack is 5 kg, so 10 kg means two bags.

The only in-stock soy wax described for pouring into pillar candle moulds, so the award has no real rival: the container waxes above are made for jars. It is ₹600 a kilo in every pack from 500 g to 10 kg. Its page states no load or temperatures, so fix those by testing one mould at a time. The table counts 300g pillars at 276g of wax each. A customer review on the page describes it as "really good to make pillar candles and for moulds".

The one that nearly made the list: Natural Soy Pearl Wax. At ₹424.80 a kilo in 5 kg, 10 kg and 50 kg packs — and the only soy wax with a listed 50 kg pack at ₹21,240 — it is the natural choice for a business that wants a single large delivery at a low per-kilo price. It misses an award because its page states no load and no temperatures, and it is ₹25.60 a kilo dearer than Eco Soy CSI 400. If you need one 50 kg pack rather than ten 5 kg bags, test a 1 kg pack (₹450) first.

Read it both ways. ₹21,880 across a season is real cash, and a business pouring 500 jars on a tight budget is right to notice it. But per candle it is ₹43.76 between the cheapest and the premium pick. If the premium wax lets a jar sell for even ₹50 more, or saves a handful of rejected candles, it has paid for itself. And if the cheapest wax causes a wick problem that sends ten candles back, the saving is gone. The 10 kg price comparison takes this per-candle arithmetic further.
Don't pick on the per-kilo price and then run the line at a different load. The cheapest-per-kilo decision assumes a like-for-like candle. If a business chooses Eco Soy CSI 400 to save ₹19.91 a candle and then raises the load to chase throw, it is pouring oil into a wax whose page states no ceiling. Choose the wax for the load your range needs, then compare prices among waxes that state that load.
Headroom or margin: the real trade-off in numbers
The awards for headroom and for margin pull in opposite directions, and most businesses have to decide which matters more. The way to decide is to cost a whole candle — wax plus oil — at the loads you would actually use. The table uses Lavender Fragrance Oil at its 1 kg price (₹5,221, or ₹5.221 a gram) as a mid-priced example oil.

Two conclusions a business can act on. First, at the same load, Luxury Soy Chunks cost ₹17.02 more per candle than CSI 464 — that is the whole price of the headroom award if you never use the headroom. Second, using it is what costs money: moving Chunks from 8% to 13% adds ₹52.21 of oil while the wax cost actually falls by ₹6. So the headroom wax is worth buying only for scents that genuinely need more than 10% after a full cure and a correctly sized wick. For everything else, CSI 464 at 8–10% does the job for less.
Test at 8% before you pay for 13%
A weak candle is often a wick or cure problem rather than a load problem. Pour the scent at 8% in the wax you are considering, cure it for 14 days, and burn it with a wick that reaches the glass in two to three hours. Buy the wax for the candle you sell most, not the candle you are proudest of.
The bulk bag goes into your volume line. If that line is your lowest-priced jar, the all-rounder or the margin pick carries it; the premium wax belongs to the smaller range priced to absorb it. Standardising your bestseller on your most expensive wax is how good candles become thin margins.
Confirm the winner before the first bulk bag
A ranking narrows the field to two. Your jar, your wick and your oils decide between them. The cheapest honest way to do that is a head-to-head on small packs — and because the per-kilo price of most of these waxes is flat, the sample costs you nothing extra per candle.
