Does CSI sell a candle making machine?No. CSI lists no automatic or semi-automatic moulding, filling, wicking, labelling or packing machine. The only powered production equipment in the range is electric wax melters (1 litre ₹2,360; 10 kg ₹21,240; 20 kg ₹25,960), plus a cordless handheld mixer (₹349) and a hot air gun (₹531).

The short answer
"Machine" usually means five different jobs: melting, filling, moulding, wicking and finishing. Only melting is sold as a powered machine at CSI; the other four are done with hand tools that cost a few hundred rupees each.
Buy the melter first, then positions: a 10 kg melter removes the biggest time sink (double-boiling in small batches). After that, output is set by how many jars you can wick and hold at once, not by the melter.
Automate only a measured bottleneck: a filling machine speeds up pouring, which is often the shortest step on a candle bench. It does nothing for wick prep, a 14–21 day cure or packing.
Solid block: a powered machine CSI lists. Outlined blocks: jobs where CSI lists no machine, only the hand tool that does the job at small scale. The candle count uses 184g of wax per 200g candle at an 8% fragrance load; the melting time is as stated on the melter's product page.
Which candle making machine should a small business in India buy?
Probably none yet — and CSI does not list one. There is no candle moulding, filling, wicking or packing machine in the CSI range, so we will not recommend or price one. What a small business usually means by "machine" is something that removes the slow, messy parts of hand production, and most of that is done by three pieces of equipment. The first is a melter: the Electric Wax Melter (Imported) at ₹21,240 for 10 kg capacity or ₹25,960 for 20 kg, which its page says melts 10 kg of soy wax in approximately 30 minutes at 100°C — about 54 × 200g candles per load at 8%. Below that sits the 1 litre Mini Electric Wax Melter at ₹2,360. The second is a way to fill many jars: the Wax Pouring Funnel with 4 nozzles at ₹1,888. The third keeps wicks straight while wax sets: the Wick Setting Tool at ₹399 and Steel Wick Holders at ₹50 a position. Together, melter, funnel and setting tool cost ₹23,527. Real automation starts to pay only when a stopwatch shows the slow step is one a machine does, your range is standardised on one or two vessels, and demand is steady beyond the festive season.

The most useful thing a supplier can tell a buyer searching for a machine is what it does not sell.

What the range does contain is everything a small business needs to produce by hand at a professional standard, plus one genuinely powered production machine: the electric wax melter. The powered items that matter for candle production are three melters, a cordless handheld mixer and a hot air gun; everything else is a hand tool. That is not a limitation to apologise for. Container candles are a low-mechanisation product: jars vary, fragrances change monthly, and the longest step is a cure no machine can shorten.
Their pages state, respectively: the Mini Electric Wax Melter (₹2,360) has 1 litre capacity, 300W and 600W modes, Gear I at approximately 70–85°C, Gear II up to 100–120°C and a 1-year warranty; the CSI Pro Mixer (₹349) is USB-C rechargeable, to be run 60–90 seconds after fragrance goes in at 80–85°C, and kept out of wax above 95°C; the Hot Air Gun (₹531) reaches about 200°C within seconds, with no temperature adjustment. The 10 kg and 20 kg melter is covered in detail below.
Read "80 candles at a time" as a candle-size claim, not a promise. The melter's page says it can melt 9.5 litres and "create 80 candles at a time". Whether that is true for you depends entirely on how much wax is in each candle. At the series standard — a 200g candle at 8%, which is 184g of wax — 10 kg of wax makes 54 candles (10,000 ÷ 184 = 54.3). Eighty candles from a 10 kg load works out at 125g of wax each. Plan production from your own fill weight, weighed from one finished jar, never from a headline candle count.
One more honest note before the maths. The 10 kg and 20 kg melter is listed as imported, and its page states capacity, time and temperature display but no warranty term. The Mini melter's page does state a 1-year warranty. On a ₹21,240 purchase, ask about after-sales cover on WhatsApp before ordering rather than assuming.
What people mean when they search for a "candle making machine"
"Candle making machine" is not one product. It is a search phrase that covers at least five different jobs, and each has a very different answer at small-business scale. Split the phrase into its jobs and the buying decision gets simple: you are rarely short of a machine, you are usually short of one specific capability.

Read down the right-hand column and a pattern appears. The one job where a machine is cheap and useful enough for a small business — melting — is the one CSI sells as a machine. The other jobs are done by tools costing ₹50 to ₹1,888, which together cost less than the melter. That reflects where machine value sits in container-candle production: melting is slow, hot and easy to get wrong by eye, while pouring, wicking and finishing are fast once the bench is organised.
Moulded candles are the exception worth knowing
Pillar, taper and tealight production is where true moulding machines exist in the wider market, because those shapes are identical and made in huge runs. A small business can get a surprising distance with multi-cavity silicone moulds instead: the 40 Cavity Square Mould (₹472, stated temperature safe to 220°C), the 55 Cavity Coffee Bean Mould (₹177) and the 30-cavity Cloud Mould (₹529.82). A machine is only three promises: the wax is ready when you are, every jar gets the same pour, and every wick stands straight. You can buy all three without buying a machine.
Each card covers one promise, with what the product page states. Where a page does not state a capacity or rate, the card says so — planning built on an assumed number fails on the first busy day.

This is the purchase that most changes a small candle business, and the one most people picture when they say "machine". The page states it melts 9.5 litres of wax, 10 kg of soy wax in approximately 30 minutes at 100°C, with a temperature display from 60°C to 100°C and a stated ±10°C deviation. That deviation is why a pen thermometer still belongs next to it: your fragrance add and pour temperatures come from the wax's product page, not the melter's dial. One customer, reviewing the melter after nine months, says 10 kg melts "in mere 20-30 minutes" and that the temperature knob "does everything for me" — a useful experience report, though your wax and room will decide your own time. The "per kg" column is rupees per kilo of capacity: 20 kg costs ₹4,720 more for double.

The nearest thing in the range to a filling machine, and entirely manual. The page describes food-grade stainless steel, a lever you press to control flow, an automatic spring-back and a sealed silicone plug so it does not drip, an included rack that holds the funnel in place, and a removable handle. It is dishwasher safe. The page does not state a capacity or a flow rate, so do not plan a day's output around it until you have timed a tray of your own jars. What it removes is the pitcher shuffle: filling, pouring, returning to the melter and re-filling for every few jars.

A wicking machine exists to stop crooked wicks, which cause tunnelling and soot and cost you the candle. At small scale the job is done by a holder per jar. Three observations to take from the table. First, the melter is 75% of build B (₹21,240 of ₹28,382), so the decision between A and B is really a decision about melting capacity, and everything else is small change. Second, the jump from B to C is ₹7,434, of which ₹4,720 is the step from a 10 kg to a 20 kg melter — double the capacity for 22% more money on the melter itself. Third, build C keeps the mini melter even alongside a 20 kg unit, because a small melter is how you test a new fragrance or a new wax without draining, cleaning and refilling the big one. The mistake: buying the 20 kg melter "to grow into". A melter is sized by the wax you pour in one session, not the wax you hope to sell in a year. If your typical pour is 25 candles, a 20 kg unit holds wax at temperature for hours while you use a fraction of it, and every scent change means emptying and cleaning a large tank. Start with the capacity of your biggest regular pour plus some headroom. The 10 kg model covers about 54 × 200g candles per load; if you routinely pour more than that in one sitting, or you run two waxes, the extra ₹4,720 for 20 kg is justified. If you do not, it is not.
What really limits a small business's daily output
Before you price a machine, find the step that is actually slow. It is almost never the one you think.
A candle bench is a chain — melt, blend, prepare jars and wicks, pour, set, finish, cure, label, pack — and daily output is set by the slowest link. A machine that speeds up any other link adds nothing. The example below uses illustrative timings: assumptions chosen to show the method, not measured rates for any CSI product. Where the minutes go per candle, and which step a filling machine would actually touch

In this example, pouring is 11% of the hands-on minutes. A filling machine that made pouring instant would lift the day from about 160 candles to about 180 — and it would do nothing at all for the 44% spent labelling and packing or the 33% spent preparing wicks. Your own figures will differ, perhaps a lot, which is exactly the point: time your bench for a week before you price any machine. If your stopwatch says pouring is half your day, a machine conversation is worth having. If it says packing is, the fix is a packing table, pre-folded boxes and a care sticker roll — a few hundred rupees, not lakhs.

Pick one normal production dayNot a festive rush and not a test day. Pour your usual jar in your usual fragrance so the timing reflects the business you actually run.

Rank the stages by minutes per candleThe top stage is your bottleneck. Fix it with the cheapest tool first — more holder positions, a second funnel, a packing layout — and time the day again. Only if it survives the cheap fixes, and is a step a machine performs, is a machine worth pricing.
Positions are the cheapest capacity you can buy
If wick preparation is your slow stage, the first fix is not a machine but more positions prepared in advance. Fifty steel holders cost ₹2,500. Prepare fifty jars before the wax is ready, pour them in one round from the funnel, and prepare the next fifty while they set. The CSI principle
Never automate a step you have not timed. The machine you need is the one that removes your slowest minute, not the one in the video.

When all five are true, work out the most you could sensibly pay before you ask anyone for a price. The arithmetic is simple and uses only your own numbers: labour hours the machine would save each month × what an hour of labour costs you × the number of months you are willing to wait for payback. As an illustration only — these are example inputs, not market rates — a machine that saves 40 hours a month, at ₹150 an hour of labour, with a 12-month payback, is worth at most 40 × ₹150 × 12 = ₹72,000 to that business, before power, maintenance and downtime. If the quoted price is above your own ceiling, the machine is not yet for you, however good the demonstration looks.
The festive-season trap. Some brands buy equipment in September because October orders look impossible by hand; then November ends and the machine sits for ten months. Working back from Diwali on 8 November 2026 with a 14–21 day cure, hand-poured festive candles must be finished by mid-October — so peak capacity should come from more positions, a second melter load a day or temporary hands, all arranged in days. Buy capital equipment for your steady months; rent labour for your peak.
Be clear, too, about what automation never does. It does not shorten the cure, choose fragrances, fix a wick that is wrong for a jar, or remove the need to weigh oil, record temperatures and burn-test each new raw-material batch. If you do buy a machine elsewhere
CSI does not list candle-making machines, so some readers will buy one from another source once the automation test passes — a reasonable decision. Before any money moves, get five things in writing: capacity per cycle in kg or litres; any output claim with the candle size behind it ("candles per hour" means nothing without a fill weight); temperature range and accuracy; the warranty term; and power requirement plus spares and service in India. A machine does not make a candle business. A recipe that sells, poured the same way every time, does — and that can be done by hand long before it needs to be done by motor.
