A bulk wax order is not a bigger version of your usual order. It is a different piece of planning that starts with your pour calendar and ends on a storage shelf.

63 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 built from published packs — 300 candles at 200 g with a 5% allowance · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How do I buy soy wax in bulk from CSI? Work out the kilograms first, then build them from the published packs. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is sold in 500 g, 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg; 63 kg is six 10 kg packs plus three 1 kg packs, ₹31,966.20 at ₹507.40 per kg. For more than 10 kg in a single consignment, ask on WhatsApp.

What is the largest soy wax pack CSI publishes? 10 kg for CSI 464 (₹5,074.00), Luxury Soy Wax Chunks (₹5,999.00) and Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 (₹6,370.00). Natural Soy Pearl Wax is the only soy grade listed to 50 kg (₹21,240.00), and stock at that size is limited — confirm before you plan a season round it.

Do I need a GST number to buy candle wax in bulk? No. Anyone can buy at the listed prices, which the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page states are inclusive of taxes. A GST number matters on your side: give it when you order and ask for the invoice to carry it, so your accountant can treat ₹31,966.20 of wax as a business input rather than a personal purchase. GST invoicing is available on request.

How should bulk soy wax be stored in India? Sealed, off the floor, out of sunlight, in the coolest room you have. The CSI 464 and CSI 468 pages both give a shelf life of 60 months in cool, dry storage; the CSI 468 page adds to keep it sealed. Nine packs of wax is a shelf, not a corner — open the oldest pack first and write the arrival date on every bag.
The short answer
Start from the pour plan: candles × fill weight = wax in the candles; add a 5% allowance for residue, top-ups and test pours. Three hundred 200 g candles is 60 kg of wax and a 63 kg order.
Build it from published packs: six 10 kg plus three 1 kg packs of CSI 464 is ₹31,966.20; rounding up to 65 kg costs ₹1,014.80 more for wax you were not planning to pour.
Then order once, not five times: wax, fragrance, wicks and jars on one consignment — ₹65,242.20, or ₹217.47 a candle — with GST invoicing and MSDS or IFRA documentation requested at quote stage, not after delivery.

Straight answer
How does a candle business actually buy soy wax in bulk in India?
In six moves, in this order. One: fix the pour plan — number of candles × fill weight. Three hundred 200 g candles is 60 kg of wax in the candles. Two: add an allowance for what never reaches a jar — the series plans with 5% for pitcher residue, top-ups and test pours, which makes it a 63 kg order. Three: build those kilograms from packs that actually exist: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 in 500 g, 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg, so six 10 kg plus three 1 kg packs is exactly 63 kg for ₹31,966.20 at ₹507.40 per kg. Rounding up to 65 kg adds ₹1,014.80 and two kilograms you have no plan for. Four: if you want more than 10 kg of one grade in a single consignment, or a grade whose ceiling is not published, ask on WhatsApp and put the grade, quantity, delivery pincode, GST number and documentation you need in the first message. Five: consolidate — wax, fragrance, wicks and jars on one order rather than five, because every separate consignment carries its own handling. The full 300-candle set works out at ₹65,242.20, or ₹217.47 a candle. Six: receive it properly — weigh, count, photograph, log the arrival date, then store sealed, cool and dry and open the oldest pack first. The order is the easy part; the thirty minutes at the door and the shelf it goes on are what keep the next three batches identical.
One line: Kilograms first, packs second, one consignment third — then a thirty-minute receiving check and a sealed, dated, first-in-first-out shelf.
Buying soy wax in quantity this month? Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is ₹5,074.00 for 10 kg (₹507.40 per kg), Luxury Soy Wax Chunks ₹5,999.00, Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 ₹6,370.00. Every price is inclusive of taxes, GST invoicing is available, and anything above 10 kg of one grade in a single consignment is quoted on WhatsApp.
Shop candle wax

Bulk starts with your pour calendar, not the wax page

Nobody needs 63 kg of wax. They need 300 candles by a date, and 63 kg is what that turns into.

The most expensive bulk orders are the ones placed from the product page. You see a 10 kg pack, you know 10 kg sounds serious, you buy four of them, and six weeks later you are pouring a grade you have not burn-tested at that fill weight while 14 kg sits in a cupboard in a Nagpur summer. Work the other way. A bulk order is arithmetic that starts at the far end: the date, the number of candles, the fill weight, and only then the kilograms.

Fill weight is the number most makers get wrong, because it is not the jar's stated capacity. A jar sold as a 200 ml container does not take 200 g of soy wax — wax is lighter than water, and you leave headroom below the rim. The only reliable way to find your fill weight is to pour one jar the way you actually pour it, let it set, and weigh the difference. Do that once per jar in your range and write the number on the shelf label. Every bulk order you ever place will use it.

The second number is the allowance. Wax that leaves the pack does not all reach a jar: a film stays in the pitcher, you top up sink holes, you pour two test candles per fragrance, and somebody spills. This series plans with 5% — a general planning figure, not a measured CSI one, and yours may be higher if you pour small jars or run many fragrances in a batch. Measure it for one month by weighing what you buy against what you actually fill, and then use your own number.

1
Count the candles and fix the fill weight Three hundred candles at 200 g. If your range has three jar sizes, count each separately — 120 × 150 g plus 180 × 200 g is not 300 × 175 g in practice, because you buy jars in packs and pour in sub-lots.
2
Multiply out the wax in the candles 300 × 200 g = 60,000 g = 60 kg. This is the wax that ends up sold. Nothing in this step includes fragrance oil: on CSI product pages, and throughout this series, the load is a percentage of wax weight, so 60 kg of wax at 8% carries 4.8 kg of oil on top.
3
Add the allowance 60 kg + 5% = 63 kg. Round to the nearest kilogram, not the nearest pack — rounding to packs is the next step and doing it here twice is how people end up with 10 kg spare.
4
Build 63 kg from packs that exist Six 10 kg packs of CSI 464 plus three 1 kg packs is exactly 63 kg for ₹31,966.20. Six 10 kg plus one 5 kg is 65 kg for ₹32,981.00 — ₹1,014.80 more, for two kilograms with no job.
Pack building
Hitting an exact target from published CSI 464 packs (500 g, 1 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg)
Wax target Pack build Price Candles at 200 g Why not round up
18 kg 1 × 10 kg + 1 × 5 kg + 3 × 1 kg ₹9,133.20 85 with the allowance 20 kg would be ₹10,148.00 — a kilogram of idle wax per month of storage
33 kg 3 × 10 kg + 3 × 1 kg ₹16,744.20 157 35 kg costs ₹17,759.00 and adds a pack to the shelf
47 kg 4 × 10 kg + 1 × 5 kg + 2 × 1 kg ₹23,847.80 223 50 kg is ₹25,370.00 and three kilograms you will carry into the next season
63 kg 6 × 10 kg + 3 × 1 kg ₹31,966.20 300 65 kg is ₹32,981.00, or ₹1,014.80 more
Priced above: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40 per kg, from 10 kg ₹5,074.00, 5 kg ₹2,537.00, 1 kg ₹507.40. Candle counts assume 200 g of wax per candle and the 5% allowance, so 63 kg fills 300 jars and leaves 3 kg for residue and test pours.
You ordered by pack count instead of by kilogram. Four 10 kg packs is a decision about bags, not about candles. Forty kilograms at 200 g is 190 candles after the allowance — if the plan was 300, you are 13 kg short and will place a second order mid-run, which is the one thing bulk buying was meant to avoid. Do the kilogram arithmetic on paper, then choose packs. If your target lands between pack sizes, buy the lower combination and top up with 1 kg packs rather than buying a 5 kg you have not planned for.

What CSI actually publishes: the largest pack of every soy grade

You can only order what the store lists. Everything above that is a conversation.

There is no hidden trade portal. The buy sizes on each product page are the buy sizes, and for a first bulk order the honest advice is to stay inside them: you get the published price, the published specifications and a normal checkout with an invoice at the end. Above 10 kg of a single grade in one consignment, the sensible route is a WhatsApp message rather than nine separate line items in a cart.

Soy Pillar Wax 10 kg ₹6,000.00 ₹600.00 50 pillars of similar weight For moulds, pillars and designer candles, releases from moulds. Not a container wax — do not buy it in bulk for jars
Priced above: CSI 464 10 kg ₹5,074.00; Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 10 kg ₹5,999.00; CSI 468 10 kg ₹6,370.00; Eco Soy CSI 400 5 kg ₹1,996.00; Natural Soy Pearl Wax 50 kg ₹21,240.00; Soy Pillar Wax 10 kg ₹6,000.00. Candle counts are the raw pack weight divided by a 200 g fill, before any allowance.

Two operational notes before you build an order from that table. First, check the per-kilogram rate on each pack size of the grade you have chosen before you mix sizes — the rates are printed on the product page and they are not always identical across the ladder. Second, stock depth is part of the specification when you are buying in quantity: a grade with dozens of 10 kg packs behind it will refill differently from one where the largest size is down to single units. If a season depends on a grade, ask what is coming and when before you commit a pour calendar to it.

You bought a bulk quantity of a grade you have never burn-tested at your fill and wick. Ten kilograms is fifty candles of evidence; sixty kilograms is three hundred candles of commitment. The cheapest insurance in this entire page is a single 1 kg pack — ₹507.40 for CSI 464, ₹599.00 for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, ₹650.00 for CSI 468 — poured into your real jar with your real wick and your real oil, cured the full fortnight and burned twice. Buy the trial pack, then buy the season. Read how to verify wax quality before you buy for what to look at while it burns.

How to ask for a bulk quote so you get a useful answer

“Do you give bulk rates?” cannot be answered. Six lines of detail can be.

Bulk pricing above the published packs is quoted, not listed, and a quote is only as good as the question. The message that gets a same-conversation answer contains the grade, the quantity, the delivery pincode, your GST number, the documentation you need and the date you must pour by. The message that gets a follow-up question contains none of those, and now you are two days into a season you have not started.

The quote message
What to put in the first WhatsApp message, and why each line changes the answer
Line Example Why it matters
Grade, exactly Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, flakes Six soy and soy-blend grades sit in the same collection at different prices and different published ceilings. Naming the grade removes the first three replies
Quantity in kilograms 63 kg for this run, repeating roughly quarterly Kilograms, not packs. Saying it repeats tells the supplier whether this is a one-off or a line to keep stocked
Delivery pincode Six digits, plus whether the address takes a large vehicle Freight is a function of distance, weight and access. A first-floor flat with no lift for nine packs is a different delivery from a ground-floor unit
GST number, or that you have none Your GSTIN, so the invoice carries it The invoice is raised once. Supplying the number afterwards is an amendment, not a formality
Documentation needed MSDS and IFRA documentation for the wax and each oil Marketplace listings, corporate gifting tenders and export paperwork ask for these. They are available on request, and requesting at quote stage costs you nothing
Pour-by date Poured by mid-October for Diwali on 8 November 2026 A date lets the supplier tell you now, rather than later, whether the quantity and the calendar are compatible
COPY THIS MESSAGE

Hi CSI — I need a bulk quote. Grade: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 flakes. Quantity: 63 kg for this run, likely repeating every quarter. Delivery pincode: [six digits], ground floor, vehicle access fine. GST number: [GSTIN] — please raise the invoice against it. Documentation: MSDS and IFRA for the wax, and for Woody Oud and Citrus Lemon if I add them to the same consignment. I need to pour by mid-October. Can you confirm availability, the rate at that quantity, and what freight to expect to my pincode?

Six lines. Send it once, at the start of planning rather than the week you need it, and keep the reply — it becomes the reference for the next order.

Two things a supplier cannot tell you on WhatsApp, and you should not ask them to guess at: exactly what your courier will charge before they have your pincode and weight, and whether a grade will behave in your jar. The first needs the consignment defined; the second needs your own burn test. Everything else — availability, rate at quantity, pack combinations, documentation, invoicing — is a message away on WhatsApp +91 7397976926.

GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA: settle the paperwork before you pay

Documentation is free and instant before the order. After it, it is a favour and a wait.

Listed prices on CSI product pages are inclusive of taxes — the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page states this plainly. That is a consumer-facing price, and it is the right price for a maker who is not registered. If you are registered, the number that matters is on the invoice, not the product page: give your GSTIN with the order and ask for the invoice to be raised against it, so that ₹31,966.20 of wax lands in your books as a business input with your registration on the document. Retro-fitting a GST number to an invoice already raised is an amendment, and amendments take longer than typing the number in the first message.

MSDS and IFRA documentation is available on request through WhatsApp. You do not need it to pour a candle, and most home makers never ask. You do need it the first time a marketplace asks for a safety data sheet before listing, a corporate gifting client's procurement team sends a vendor form, a courier asks what is in the box, or an export consignment needs a file. Ask at quote stage: the request costs nothing, and the documents arrive with the order instead of during a deadline.

The file
What to ask for, what it is for, and when to ask
Document What it is When you will need it When to ask
Tax invoice carrying your GSTIN The purchase document for your books Every registered business, every order In the order message, before the invoice is raised
MSDS for each wax and oil The safety data sheet for the material Marketplace listings, courier queries, corporate vendor forms At quote stage, on request through WhatsApp
IFRA documentation for each fragrance oil The fragrance certification file Gifting tenders, export paperwork, buyers who ask what is in the scent At quote stage, per oil — ask by oil name
Your own goods-inward note Your record of what arrived, when, and in what condition Every bulk consignment, for your batch records You write this one. Nobody sends it to you
You asked for documentation after the client asked you for it. The sequence that hurts: a corporate order for 200 Diwali candles arrives in the second week of October, procurement sends a vendor form on a Friday, and the form wants a safety data sheet for every material in the candle. Now you are chasing documents for a wax you bought in August, an oil you bought in June and a wick you bought last year, while the pour window closes. Ask for MSDS and IFRA with the quote, keep the files in one folder named by material and date, and the vendor form takes ten minutes instead of a week.

Consolidate: one consignment beats five

The wax has a published price. The five separate deliveries do not.

This is the part of bulk buying that actually saves money for most Indian makers, and it has nothing to do with the wax rate. Freight on a consignment is a function of weight, distance and handling, and handling is largely fixed per consignment. Five orders placed across a month — wax in the first week, oil when a fragrance runs out, wicks when you notice, jars when the design is signed off — carry five sets of that fixed element. The same materials on one order carry one. Nothing about the products changes; only the number of times something is picked, packed and moved.

We should be straight about this, because two of our own published reviews say it. One customer writes that the products are premium but “the delivery charges are very high which is restricting me to purchase more”; another asks the team to work on “the pricing and delivery timelines”. Those are real reviews on a supplier's own page and they are fair. CSI does not publish a freight table, a free-shipping threshold or a delivery-time promise, and this page will not invent one. What is within your control is the number of consignments you pay for. Plan the season, order once, and ask for the freight figure to your pincode in the same WhatsApp message as the rate.

The CSI principle
Buy kilograms once, not packs five times.
The wax rate is printed and fixed. The number of consignments you pay to have moved across India is the part you decide.
Pouring for Diwali on 8 November 2026? Allow 14 to 21 days of cure plus transit and pour by about mid-October. That puts the bulk order this month. Wax, fragrance, wicks and jars on one consignment for 300 candles is ₹65,242.20 at CSI live pricing — bulk rates above 10 kg, GST invoicing and MSDS or IFRA documentation on WhatsApp.
Order in bulk on WhatsApp

The thirty-minute check when the consignment arrives

The half hour at the door is the cheapest quality control you will ever run.

A bulk consignment is the last moment at which a problem is somebody else's. Once the packs are open, decanted and half-poured, the conversation is harder for everyone. So treat the delivery as a process with an output: a goods-inward note that says what arrived, in what condition, on what date, and which of your batch codes it will feed. It takes about thirty minutes for a twenty-three-pack consignment and it is the record your batch documentation will point back to for the next six months.

1
Photograph before you open anything Outer packaging, any transit damage, the labels on each pack, and the delivery slip. Photographs taken before a knife touches the tape are evidence; photographs taken after are a story. Most consignments arrive exactly as they should, and the photograph is then simply a record that they did — which is worth as much to you as the one time it is not.
2
Count and weigh Count packs against the invoice line by line. Then weigh at least one pack of each size on the same scale you weigh wax with. A 10 kg pack should read 10 kg; if your scale says otherwise, you have just learned something about your scale, which matters more for your batch records than for the consignment.
3
Check seals, then write on every bag Look for split seams, moisture marks and anything that has travelled loose. Then write two things on each pack in permanent marker: the arrival date and a sequence letter (A, B, C). That is your first-in-first-out system, and it costs one pen.
4
Log it, and raise anything wrong the same day One line per material: date, grade, quantity, pack count, any batch or lot identifier printed on the pack, condition, and where it is stored. If a pack is damaged or short, message WhatsApp with the photographs on the day it arrives, not at the end of the week.
At the door
The receiving checklist, and what to do when a line fails
Check How If it fails
Pack count Against the invoice, line by line Photograph the open carton with the packs visible and message the same day
Weight One pack of each size on your own scale Re-zero and re-weigh with a known weight before raising it — a drifting scale is the more common cause and a bigger problem
Seals and moisture Seams, corners, any damp patch on the outer carton Do not decant that pack into a shared bin. Keep it separate and pour it first, in a batch you can identify
Grade and variant Name and size on the pack against what you ordered Stop. Do not open it. A wrong grade opened is a wrong grade you now own
Identifiers Any batch or lot marking printed on the pack If there is none, create your own arrival code and write it on the bag. Your batch records need a reference either way
Storage on the same day Sealed, off the floor, away from sunlight If you cannot store it properly today, you were not ready for a bulk order today
You decanted six packs into one big bin on day one. It looks efficient and it destroys traceability: the moment a surface problem shows up in November, you cannot tell whether it came from the pack you opened in September or the one you opened in October, because they are now the same wax. Decant one pack at a time, finish it, and write the pack letter into the batch record of every run it feeds. It costs nothing and it is the difference between “something changed” and “pack C changed”.
A bulk order is not finished when it is paid for. It is finished when it is counted, dated and on a shelf.

Storing 60 kg of soy wax through an Indian year

Soy wax keeps for years in a cupboard. Indian storage is the variable, not the wax.

The product pages are specific where they can be: both CSI 464 and CSI 468 state a shelf life of 60 months in cool, dry storage, the CSI 464 page adds to store away from sunlight and moisture, and the CSI 468 page adds to keep it sealed. The Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page does not publish a shelf life, so we will not quote one for it — ask on WhatsApp if you are planning storage around that grade specifically.

Five years is far longer than any candle business will hold a pack, which tells you the real constraint is not the wax's age. It is the room. A Delhi or Ahmedabad workshop hits 40°C and above through May and June; a top-floor room under a concrete slab is hotter still. Soy in a sealed bag does not spoil at those temperatures, but flakes soften and cake into a block, which is a nuisance rather than a defect — a caked pack still melts and pours normally, it just will not scoop. Chunks handle heat with fewer complaints than flakes for the same reason a lump of sugar handles it better than caster sugar.

Monsoon is the one that matters. In Mumbai, Kochi and Kolkata, an unsealed pack in a humid room takes on moisture at the surface, and moisture in wax shows up later as spitting when you melt and as poor adhesion at the glass. This is why every one of those pages says sealed and dry. A bulk order multiplies the exposure: one open 1 kg pack is a small mistake, and six open 10 kg packs is your season.

THE STORAGE RULE FOR A BULK ORDER

Sealed, raised, dark, dated, oldest first. Seal each pack after every use with a clip or by decanting into an airtight bin. Raise everything on a pallet, plank or shelf at least a hand's width off the floor — monsoon water and floor-level dust both travel upwards. Keep it out of direct sunlight, which is a temperature problem before it is a light problem. Write the arrival date and a sequence letter on every pack. Open the oldest pack first, always, even when a newer one is closer.

One more: store fragrance oils away from the wax, not next to it. Oil vapour and warm plastic in the same cupboard is how a Woody Oud consignment ends up faintly in everything.

Storage

Condition Where and when What happens to a bulk stock What to do
40°C and above Delhi, Ahmedabad, Nagpur; April to June; any top-floor room Flakes soften and cake into a solid block inside the bag Store low and internal, never against an outside wall or under a slab. Break a caked pack with a clean tool and melt as normal
Monsoon humidity Mumbai, Kochi, Kolkata; June to September Open packs take on surface moisture; spitting on melt, poorer glass adhesion Seal after every use or decant into airtight bins. Never leave an open pack overnight in the season
Floor storage Anywhere with a ground-floor workshop Water ingress in a downpour, dust, and pests through a split seam Everything on a pallet or shelf, a hand's width clear of the floor
Direct sunlight Window-side shelving Local heating of the bag, caking on one side only Move it. Sunlight is the easiest of these to fix and the most often ignored
Long holding Wax bought for a festival that did not sell through CSI 464 and CSI 468 pages state 60 months in cool, dry storage, so age is rarely the issue — cash and space are Pour it into a staple line rather than storing it for a second season

A worked bulk order: 300 candles for Diwali 2026

Everything above, on one date, with one set of figures.

Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November 2026. Soy container candles want 14 to 21 days of cure before they smell the way you intend them to, and gifting stock has to reach a customer before the festival rather than during it. Work backwards: dispatch in the first week of November, cure from mid-October, pour by about mid-October, materials in hand a week before that. Today is 11 September 2026, which makes this a comfortable timetable and makes the order this month's job rather than next month's crisis.

The plan: 300 candles, 200 g of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 each, Woody Oud at 8% of wax weight — comfortably inside the 10% the CSI 464 page states as its maximum — one Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) per jar, and a 200 ml Salsa glass jar with a lug cap. Wax in the candles is 60 kg; the order is 63 kg. Oil at 8% of 60 kg is 4.8 kg, bought as five 1 kg bottles, which leaves 200 g for test pours and top-ups.

The order
300 Diwali candles: what the bulk consignment contains and what it costs
Item Quantity Pack build Cost Share of the candle
Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 63 kg 6 × 10 kg + 3 × 1 kg ₹31,966.20 49.0%
Woody Oud Fragrance Oil at 8% of wax weight 5 kg 5 × 1 kg ₹22,656.00 34.7%
Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 300 wicks 3 × 100 ₹1,770.00 2.7%
200 ml Salsa Glass Jar with lug cap 300 jars 6 × 50 Pcs ₹8,850.00 13.6%
Materials total 300 candles 23 packs, one consignment ₹65,242.20 ₹217.47 each
Priced above: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 10 kg ₹5,074.00, 1 kg ₹507.40 (₹507.40 per kg); Woody Oud Fragrance Oil 1 kg ₹4,531.20; Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 100 for ₹590.00 (₹5.90 each); 200 ml Salsa Glass Jar 50 Pcs ₹1,475.00 (₹29.50 each). The wax inside one candle is ₹101.48; the wax bought per candle, allowance included, is ₹106.55. Materials only: freight, dye, labels, packaging and labour are not included, and freight is quoted per consignment.

Two honest observations about that table. The fragrance oil is 34.7% of the material cost and the wax is 49.0%, which means the grade you agonise over is not where the money is going — a point worth remembering the next time a cheaper wax looks like the saving. And every figure assumes you pour all 300 successfully. If you scrap ten jars because the wick was wrong, you have not lost ten candles, you have lost ₹2,174.74 of materials and a pour day you needed for something else. That is the argument for buying one 1 kg trial pack in September and testing it properly, rather than discovering the problem in 63 kg.

If the oil changes, the arithmetic changes more than most people expect. Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil at 1 kg pricing is ₹2.83 per gram against Woody Oud's ₹4.53. Five kilograms of Citrus Lemon is ₹14,160.00 against ₹22,656.00 for Woody Oud — a difference of ₹8,496.00 on a single consignment, which is more than the gap between any two soy grades at this quantity. Neither oil is the right answer on price alone, and a citrus and an oud are not selling to the same customer. The point is that on a bulk order the fragrance line moves in thousands, so decide the oil, test it, and only then fix the wax quantity around it.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, so a page about buying more wax is a page written in our own interest and you should read it that way. The advice that costs us money is here anyway: buy an exact kilogram figure rather than rounding up to a tidy pack, buy a single 1 kg trial pack before you commit a season to a grade you have not burn-tested, and do not buy a festival's worth of wax until you have somewhere to keep it sealed and cool. Two of the reviews shown on this page criticise delivery charges and delivery timelines; they are real, they are published, and consolidating into one consignment is the honest answer we can actually offer.

Every price on this page comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and the linked product pages are authoritative. Pack sizes are the sizes the store lists: 500 g, 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468; 1 kg and 5 kg for Eco Soy CSI 400; up to 50 kg for Natural Soy Pearl Wax, where stock at the largest sizes is limited. Fragrance ceilings are quoted from the pages — CSI 464 up to 10%, Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and CSI 468 up to 13% — and Eco Soy CSI 400 does not publish one, so we say so. Shelf life of 60 months in cool, dry storage is stated on the CSI 464 and CSI 468 pages; the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page does not publish one and we have not invented it. CSI does not publish freight rates, delivery times or shipping thresholds and this page quotes none. The 5% allowance, the pack-building method and the receiving checklist are CSI's working practice, not measured data.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum quantity to buy soy wax in bulk in India?
There is no minimum on the CSI store — you can buy a 500 g pack. In practice a bulk order starts where the pack ladder tops out: 10 kg is the largest published pack for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468, so orders that need more than that of one grade in one consignment are quoted on WhatsApp. A 10 kg pack of CSI 464 is ₹5,074.00 and fills fifty 200 g candles.
Is soy wax cheaper if I buy 10 kg instead of 1 kg?
Check the per-kilogram rate on the product page before you assume it. On CSI 464 the rate is ₹507.40 per kg at 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg alike, so the 10 kg pack saves you handling and consignments rather than rupees per kilogram. Other grades on the store behave differently, and the page always shows the pack price, so the per-kg comparison takes ten seconds. The reliable saving from buying bigger is in freight and in not placing five orders.
How much soy wax do I need for 300 candles?
At a 200 g fill, 60 kg goes into the candles and a 63 kg order covers it with the 5% allowance this series uses for pitcher residue, top-ups and test pours. Built from published packs that is six 10 kg plus three 1 kg packs of CSI 464 at ₹31,966.20. Change the fill weight and everything changes: at 150 g the same 300 candles need 45 kg in the jars and a 48 kg order.
Can I get a GST invoice for a bulk candle wax order?
Yes — GST invoicing is available on request. Give your GSTIN in the order message so the invoice is raised against it from the start; supplying it after the invoice exists is an amendment. Listed prices on CSI product pages are stated as inclusive of taxes, so the price you see is the price you pay whether or not you are registered.
How long does soy wax last in storage?
The Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 and Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 pages both state 60 months in cool, dry storage, with CSI 468 adding to keep it sealed. The Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page does not publish a figure, so ask on WhatsApp rather than assuming. In an Indian workshop the practical limits are heat, which cakes flakes into a block, and monsoon moisture in an unsealed pack — neither is about the wax's age.
Should I buy wax, fragrance, wicks and jars from the same supplier?
For a bulk run, usually yes, for one operational reason: it becomes one consignment, one invoice, one delivery to receive and one set of documentation instead of four. For 300 candles that consignment is ₹65,242.20 of materials across 23 packs. The counter-argument is real too — a single supplier cannot be the best on every line, and a jar or an oil you actually want is worth a separate order. Decide it line by line, and read whether to buy everything from one supplier before you commit a season.
