What "premium" should buy you in a soy wax

A customer paying premium prices judges a candle before it is lit: the surface, the edge against the glass, the colour. Then they judge it lit: whether it fills the room and burns cleanly to the end. A wax contributes to every one of those. So "premium soy wax" should mean a wax that gives you the best chance of a flawless-looking, strong, repeatable candle — not simply a higher price per kilo or a better word on the bag.

Four properties matter, and they split cleanly into two kinds. Headroom and documentation can be stated as numbers on a product page. The premium candle cost stack

A premium candle is a stack of materials, and the wax is only one layer. The table builds the same 150g candle four times, changing only the wax.
