A 10 kg bag of candle soy wax lists between ₹4,248 and ₹6,370 at CSI, and every bag makes about 54 full-size candles. This guide lines up every 10 kg option by price per kilo and per candle, then shows when the cheaper bag stops being the cheaper candle.

Quick answers — read this first
What is the price of 10 kg soy wax in India? At CSI the listed 10 kg bags are ₹4,248 for Natural Soy Pearl Wax, ₹5,074 for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, ₹5,999 for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, ₹6,000 for Soy Pillar Wax and ₹6,370 for Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468. Eco Soy CSI 400 has no 10 kg bag; two 5 kg bags list at ₹3,992.

What does that mean per candle? A 200g candle at 8% holds 184g of wax, so the wax inside it costs ₹73.45 (Eco Soy CSI 400) to ₹117.21 (CSI 468). The gap between CSI 464 and Luxury Soy Chunks is ₹17.02 a candle, or about ₹919 across the 54 candles in a bag.

Is the cheapest 10 kg bag the best buy? Only if it can make your candle. A wax whose stated ceiling is below the load your oil needs, or one that gives you more rejects in your jar, can cost more per sellable candle than a dearer bag.

Is a 10 kg bag cheaper than ten 1 kg packs? Rarely by much. It saves ₹252 on Natural Soy Pearl and ₹130 on CSI 468, nothing on CSI 464 or Soy Pillar Wax, and on Luxury Soy Chunks the bag is actually ₹9 dearer than two 5 kg bags or ten 1 kg packs.
The short answer
Compare per candle, not per bag: multiply the price per gram by the wax in your candle. ₹2,122 between the cheapest and dearest listed bag is ₹39.04 inside one 200g candle.
Eliminate on stated load first: if your recipe needs more than 10%, only the waxes that state a higher ceiling — Luxury Soy Chunks and CSI 468, both up to 13% — are in the comparison at all.
Then price rejects in: a wax that is ₹17 cheaper per candle stays cheaper unless it gives you roughly seven more rejects in every hundred candles. Measure your own rate before you switch.

The black segment is the only part of the candle that changes when you change wax. From Eco Soy CSI 400 to CSI 468, the bag price rises by ₹2,378 per 10 kg, but the finished candle's materials rise by ₹43.76 — about 23%. The grey segment is identical in every row.
Straight answer
What does 10 kg of soy wax cost in India, and which 10 kg is actually the cheapest?
At CSI's September 2026 listed prices, 10 kg of candle soy wax costs ₹4,248 for Natural Soy Pearl Wax, ₹5,074 for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, ₹5,999 for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, ₹6,000 for Soy Pillar Wax and ₹6,370 for Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468; Eco Soy CSI 400 reaches 10 kg as two 5 kg bags for ₹3,992. Each 10 kg makes about 54 × 200g candles at 8%, so the wax inside one candle costs between ₹73.45 and ₹117.21. The cheapest wax usually is the cheapest candle — but not always. It is not if your oil needs more load than the wax states (CSI 464 is stated up to 10%; Chunks and CSI 468 up to 13%), and it is not if it gives you materially more rejects in your jar: CSI 464 stays cheaper per sellable candle than Luxury Soy Chunks until its reject rate runs about seven points higher. The cheapest bag of all is also the wrong buy if its page states no load or temperatures and you have not tested it. Price per candle, eliminate on stated load, then weigh rejects — and buy the bag through the pack route that lists lowest.
One line: 10 kg of soy wax lists at ₹4,248–₹6,370 a bag, but only ₹73–₹117 a candle — choose the wax that makes your candle at the lowest cost per sellable candle, not the lowest bag price.
Pricing your next bag? CSI 464 10 kg ₹5,074, Luxury Soy Chunks 10 kg ₹5,999, Natural Soy Pearl 10 kg ₹4,248, CSI 468 10 kg ₹6,370 — every listed pack on the product pages.

Every 10 kg soy wax price, side by side

A bag price answers "what will I pay today". A per-candle price answers the question your margin is asking.

CSI's wax collection holds 15 waxes. Seven are soy or coconut-soy candle waxes; five of those list a 10 kg bag, one reaches 10 kg only through 5 kg bags, and one tops out at 1 kg. The table sets every one of them out on the same basis: the cheapest listed way to buy 10 kg, the price per kilo and per gram, the wax inside one 200g candle at 8% (184g), and what the product page actually states about fragrance load. Soy Wax 464 Pellets are listed but sold out, so they are left out.

Priced above: wax in a 200g candle = price per gram × 184g. Eco Soy CSI 400 5 kg ₹1,996 × 2 = ₹3,992 (₹0.3992 × 184 = ₹73.45) · Natural Soy Pearl 10 kg ₹4,248 (₹78.16) · CSI 464 10 kg ₹5,074 (₹93.36) · Luxury Soy Chunks 10 kg ₹5,999 (₹110.38) · Soy Pillar 10 kg ₹6,000 (₹110.40) · CSI 468 10 kg ₹6,370 (₹117.21) · Premium Coconut Soy Wax 1 kg ₹920 × 10 = ₹9,200 (₹169.28). Candles per 10 kg = 10,000g ÷ 184g = 54.3, so 54 whole candles.

The five listed 10 kg bags span ₹2,122 (₹4,248 to ₹6,370). Inside a 200g candle that is ₹39.04. Include Eco Soy CSI 400 and the spread from cheapest to CSI 468 is ₹2,378 per 10 kg and ₹43.76 per candle. Premium Coconut Soy Wax sits well above the rest because it is listed only in 500g and 1 kg packs at ₹920 a kilo; it is not a 10 kg buy, and it appears here only so you can see where it sits.

Two cautions before anyone reads the table as a ranking. First, Soy Pillar Wax is not a substitute for a container wax; its page describes pouring into a pillar mould, so compare it only with other pillar options. Second, the two cheapest options — Eco Soy CSI 400 and Natural Soy Pearl Wax — are the two whose pages state no maximum fragrance load, and Natural Soy Pearl Wax states no temperatures either. A low price with no stated specification is not a bad buy, but it moves the cost of finding the specification onto you, and that cost belongs in the comparison. The 1 kg version of this comparison is in buying 1 kg of soy wax.

Bag, 5 kg pairs or 1 kg packs: the cheapest way to pay for 10 kg

A search for "10 kg soy wax price" assumes the 10 kg bag is the cheapest way to own 10 kg. On CSI's listed prices the bag actually saves money on only two waxes. The table prices 10 kg of each wax through every listed route.

Four routes to 10 kg · listed prices, September 2026
Where the 10 kg bag saves money, where it doesn't, and where it costs more
Wax 1 × 10 kg bag 2 × 5 kg 10 × 1 kg 20 × 500g Lowest listed route
Natural Soy Pearl Wax ₹4,248 ₹4,248 ₹4,500 Bag or 5 kg pair · saves ₹252 on 1 kg packs
Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 ₹6,370 ₹6,370 ₹6,500 ₹6,500 Bag or 5 kg pair · saves ₹130
Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 ₹5,074 ₹5,074 ₹5,074 ₹5,200 Anything from 1 kg up · avoid 500g packs
Soy Pillar Wax ₹6,000 ₹6,000 ₹6,000 ₹6,000 Identical on every route
Luxury Soy Wax Chunks ₹5,999 ₹5,990 ₹5,990 ₹5,980 500g or 5 kg packs · the bag is ₹9–₹19 dearer
Eco Soy CSI 400 ₹3,992 ₹3,990 1 kg packs by ₹2 · no 10 kg bag listed
The mistake: assuming the big bag is always the discount. On Luxury Soy Wax Chunks the 10 kg bag lists at ₹5,999 while two 5 kg bags list at ₹5,990 and twenty 500g packs at ₹5,980. On Eco Soy CSI 400, ten 1 kg packs are ₹2 cheaper than two 5 kg bags. These are small numbers and should not drive you into twenty small packets — but they prove the point that matters: on most soy waxes the listed price per kilo does not reward the bigger pack. Buy the pack size that suits your storage and melt batch. Only Natural Soy Pearl Wax (₹450 → ₹424.80) and CSI 468 (₹650 → ₹637) reward a 5 kg or larger pack on the listed price.

What the routes table does tell you is where not to overpay. CSI 464's 500g pack is ₹520 per kilo against ₹507.40 for everything larger, so twenty of them cost ₹126 more than the bag. Natural Soy Pearl Wax bought as ten 1 kg packs costs ₹252 more than the bag. If you are pouring 10 kg of either, buy the bag. For volumes beyond 10 kg the same flat-price pattern continues, which is covered in the 25 kg wholesale price guide.

What the price gap means per candle and per 54 candles

₹925 between two bags sounds like a decision. ₹17 inside a candle you sell for several hundred rupees is a detail — unless it is not.

Price gaps are easiest to judge against one reference wax. The table below uses Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 as the reference, because it is the lowest-priced wax that states both a fragrance load and temperatures. Every other wax is shown as more or less expensive than it per 10 kg, per 200g candle and per 54 candles — the number of 200g candles in one bag.

Gap against CSI 464 · 200g candle at 8% (184g wax) · listed 10 kg prices
What switching from CSI 464 changes per bag, per candle and per bag of candles
Wax Gap per 10 kg Gap per 200g candle Gap across 54 candles Wax share of candle materials*
Eco Soy CSI 400 (2 × 5 kg) −₹1,082 −₹19.91 −₹1,075.08 38.8%

Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 44.6%
Luxury Soy Wax Chunks +₹925 +₹17.02 +₹919.08 48.8%
Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 +₹1,296 +₹23.85 +₹1,287.71 50.3%

*Wax share assumes the same non-wax materials in every candle: 16g of Sandalwood Fragrance Oil at the 1 kg price (₹5,026.80, so ₹80.43), one Eco Candle Wick Thin (C1) at ₹5.90, and one 200ml Salsa Glass Jar at ₹29.50 from the 100-pack — ₹115.83 in total. The jar is stated in millilitres, not grams, so check the fill weight you actually get before copying the maths. Labels, boxes and your time sit on top and dilute the wax share further.

Read the last column carefully. Wax is a big line — roughly two-fifths to half of the raw materials in this candle — so the price gap is not nothing. But it moves slowly: switching from CSI 464 to Luxury Soy Chunks raises the candle's materials from ₹209.19 to ₹226.21, an 8.1% rise, and the retail price of a 200g soy candle is normally set by the jar, the scent and the brand, not by that ₹17.02. For a pricing method that puts every cost in its place, see how to price candles in India.

Compare at the same load, always
Wax per candle falls as load rises: a 200g candle is 184g of wax at 8%, 180g at 10% and 174g at 13%. Luxury Soy Chunks at 13% hold ₹104.38 of wax against ₹110.38 at 8%. If you price one wax at 8% and another at 13%, you are comparing recipes, not waxes. Fix the load your oil needs, then price every wax at that load — and remember the oil you add costs far more per gram than the wax it replaces.

Load headroom: when the cheaper wax cannot make your candle

The per-candle gap only matters if both waxes can make the candle you sell. The first thing that rules a wax out is its stated fragrance ceiling. CSI 464 is stated up to 10%. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and CSI 468 are stated up to 13%. Eco Soy CSI 400 and Natural Soy Pearl Wax state no ceiling at all. Those ceilings are formulation limits for each wax, not regulatory limits and not targets — but they do decide which waxes are even eligible for a given recipe.

Same 200g candle, recipe-level cost · Sandalwood Fragrance Oil at 1 kg pricing (₹5.03/g)
Wax plus oil at the load your recipe needs — and which waxes are eligible
Recipe load CSI 464 (stated up to 10%) Luxury Soy Chunks (up to 13%) CSI 468 (up to 13%) What it tells you
8% · 184g wax + 16g oil ₹173.79 ₹190.81 ₹197.64 CSI 464 is ₹17.02 cheaper than Chunks
10% · 180g wax + 20g oil ₹191.87 ₹208.52 ₹215.20 CSI 464 at its stated ceiling, still ₹16.65 cheaper
12% · 176g wax + 24g oil Above stated ceiling ₹226.23 ₹232.76 Only the 13% waxes can make this candle
13% · 174g wax + 26g oil Above stated ceiling ₹235.08 ₹241.53 The stated maximum for both — not a target

Two lessons come out of that table. The first is the obvious one: if your proven recipe needs 11–13%, CSI 464's lower price is irrelevant, because you would be working above its stated ceiling. The cheapest eligible wax for that candle is Luxury Soy Chunks. The second lesson is more useful day to day: each extra percentage point of load on a 200g candle adds 2g of oil — ₹10.05 of Sandalwood at 1 kg pricing — while the 2g of wax it replaces is worth about ₹1 (₹1.01 on CSI 464, ₹1.20 on Chunks). Going from 8% to 10% on CSI 464 adds ₹18.08 to the candle, more than the entire wax gap between CSI 464 and Luxury Soy Chunks. The expensive decision is the load, not the bag.

Buying the wax with more headroom and then using it. A 13% ceiling is room to solve a quiet oil, not an instruction to pour at 13%. If Sandalwood throws well at 8% in Luxury Soy Chunks, pouring it at 13% adds ₹44.27 to every candle (₹235.08 against ₹190.81) and can make the candle perform worse — the reasons are set out in can too much fragrance oil make a candle smell weaker. Pay for headroom when your tests show you need it; do not spend it because you have it.

Rejects: the cost that isn't on the price tag

The second thing that can flip a price comparison is how many candles you cannot sell. A candle with a sinkhole, a wet spot you won't ship, a cracked top, a tunnel on the test burn — each one throws away the wax and the oil, wick and jar that went with it. That is why rejects are priced per sellable candle: total materials ÷ (1 − reject rate).

The reject rates below are illustrative, not measured for any CSI wax. Reject rates depend overwhelmingly on your jar, your wick, your temperatures and your room, and the only rate that means anything is the one you log yourself. The point of the table is the breakeven, not the percentages.

Materials per sellable candle · ₹115.83 of oil, wick and jar in every candle · illustrative reject rates
How far rejects have to rise before a cheaper wax stops being the cheaper candle
Wax Materials per candle poured Per sellable candle at 2% rejects At 5% rejects At 10% rejects
Eco Soy CSI 400 ₹189.28 ₹193.14 ₹199.24 ₹210.31
Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 ₹209.19 ₹213.46 ₹220.20 ₹232.43
Luxury Soy Wax Chunks ₹226.21 ₹230.83 ₹238.12 ₹251.34
Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 ₹233.04 ₹237.79 ₹245.30 ₹258.93

Now the breakeven. If Luxury Soy Chunks give you 2% rejects in your jar, its sellable candle costs ₹230.83. CSI 464 only costs more than that per sellable candle once its reject rate passes about 9.4% — more than seven points worse. Eco Soy CSI 400 stays cheaper than CSI 464 at 2% until it passes about 11.3%. In plain terms: for these waxes, the cheaper bag almost always gives the cheaper candle, and only a genuinely poor match between wax and vessel flips it. That is reassuring, and it is also the warning — a poor match is exactly what an untested bag can be.

The most expensive 10 kg bag is the one you buy twice. Suppose you buy the cheapest listed bag, Natural Soy Pearl Wax at ₹4,248, without a test, and it does not suit your vessel. You then buy the 10 kg of Luxury Soy Chunks you should have tested against: ₹4,248 + ₹5,999 = ₹10,247 for one bag of usable wax, plus whatever oil and jars went into the failed pours. A 1 kg test of each first costs ₹450 + ₹599 = ₹1,049. Wax from failed pours can often be recovered — see can I re-melt a failed candle — but a mismatched 10 kg bag is still a mismatched 10 kg bag.
The CSI principle
Price the candle you can sell, not the kilo you can buy.
A 10 kg bag's price is a fact on a product page. The cost of a sellable candle is a fact about your recipe: the load it needs, the wax that is allowed to hold that load, and how many candles from each pour make it to a customer. The cheapest bag wins most of the time. Make sure you are not in the few cases where it doesn't.

Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (Flakes)
The value reference in this guide. Stated for single-pour container candles with a fragrance load of up to 10%; its page states both melting point and pour temperature as 80–90°C and a shelf life of 60 months in cool, dry storage. At ₹5,074 a bag it is ₹925 below Luxury Soy Chunks, and its per-kilo price is flat from 1 kg to 10 kg, so you can prove it in a 1 kg pack at exactly the per-candle cost you will pay at 10 kg. One CSI customer calls it "one of the best wax for container Candles". Choose it if your recipes sit at or below 10%.

Luxury Soy Wax Chunks for Jar / Container Candles
The cheapest wax in the range that states a ceiling above 10%: 8% to 13%, 10% recommended, fragrance added at 80–90°C, poured at 70–80°C. That makes it the cheapest eligible wax for any recipe that genuinely needs 11–13%. On price, note the quirk in its listing: two 5 kg bags (₹5,990) list below the 10 kg bag (₹5,999). If you melt in 5 kg batches anyway, the smaller bags are the better buy by ₹9 and easier to keep sealed.

The lowest 10 kg bag price at ₹4,248, and one of only two soy waxes whose per-kilo price falls with pack size: ₹450 at 1 kg, ₹424.80 from 5 kg. Its page describes it as suitable for a variety of container types and candle designs but states no fragrance load, melt point or pour temperature. That is the trade: the lowest bag price in exchange for doing your own specification work. Test a 1 kg pack in your jar at 8% before the bag, and log the temperatures you settle on.

A price rule for choosing your 10 kg bag

Put the sections above together and choosing a 10 kg bag on price becomes a short, repeatable procedure. It takes one afternoon with a calculator and, for any wax you have not yet poured, one 1 kg test.

1
Write down the load your candle needsUse the load your burn tests proved for your main scent, not the highest one a wax allows. If you have not tested yet, 8% is the fair starting point for every wax.
2
Strike out any wax whose stated ceiling is below itAt 11–13%, CSI 464 (stated up to 10%) is out. Waxes that state no ceiling stay in only if your own tests at that load passed.
3
Price one candle on every remaining waxWax grams at your load × price per gram, plus the same oil, wick and jar. Use the lowest listed route to 10 kg from the routes table.
4
Divide by your sellable rateMaterials ÷ (1 − your logged reject rate). No log yet? Pour a 1 kg test of the two cheapest eligible waxes in your own jar and count.
5
Buy the lowest cost per sellable candle — through the cheapest routeThat is your 10 kg. Check the product page on the day you order, because the listed price there is authoritative, and ask on WhatsApp if the bag will become a regular order.

Most makers who run this procedure end up where the numbers above suggest: CSI 464 for recipes at or below 10%, Luxury Soy Chunks for anything that needs more, and CSI 468 when the candle is priced as premium. The value of doing it anyway is that you will know why — and you will know the number that would make you switch. What the 10 kg bag then turns into, candle by candle, is set out in buying 10 kg of soy wax for a first commercial batch.

The cheapest bag of wax is the one you only ever have to buy once.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. A price guide from a supplier invites a fair suspicion: that it will steer you to the dearest bag. The arithmetic on this page points the other way most of the time — the lower-priced CSI 464 usually makes the cheaper sellable candle — and where it points to a dearer wax, it shows you the recipe condition that makes it so.

Every price, pack size and specification on this page comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Fragrance loads and temperatures are quoted only where the product page states them — up to 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468, up to 10% for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 — and they are wax formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Reject rates in this guide are illustrative, not measurements.

Frequently asked questions

What is the 10 kg soy wax price per kg in India?
At CSI in September 2026, 10 kg works out at ₹399.20 to ₹637 per kg: Natural Soy Pearl Wax ₹424.80 (bag ₹4,248), Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 ₹507.40 (₹5,074), Luxury Soy Wax Chunks ₹599.90 (₹5,999), Soy Pillar Wax ₹600 (₹6,000) and Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 ₹637 (₹6,370). Eco Soy CSI 400 has no 10 kg bag; two 5 kg bags list at ₹3,992, or ₹399.20 per kg. The linked product pages always show the current price.
Which is the cheapest 10 kg soy wax for candles?
The cheapest listed 10 kg bag is Natural Soy Pearl Wax at ₹4,248; the lowest per-kilo price is Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.20 in 5 kg bags. Neither page states a maximum fragrance load, so test either in your own jar first. The cheapest wax with a stated load and stated temperatures is Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹5,074, stated up to 10%.
What does the wax cost per candle from a 10 kg bag?
At an 8% load a 200g candle holds 184g of wax, so 10 kg makes about 54 candles — 55 at 10%. The wax in each costs ₹73.45 on Eco Soy CSI 400, ₹78.16 on Natural Soy Pearl, ₹93.36 on CSI 464, ₹110.38 on Luxury Soy Chunks and ₹117.21 on CSI 468, at 10 kg pricing. Allow a few percent for spills and top-ups when you plan.
Is a 10 kg bag of soy wax cheaper than buying 1 kg packs?
Only on some waxes. The 10 kg bag saves ₹252 on Natural Soy Pearl Wax and ₹130 on CSI 468 compared with ten 1 kg packs. On CSI 464 and Soy Pillar Wax the price is identical. On Luxury Soy Wax Chunks the bag lists at ₹5,999 while two 5 kg bags list at ₹5,990, and on Eco Soy CSI 400 ten 1 kg packs are ₹2 cheaper than two 5 kg bags.
Is expensive soy wax worth it for candle making?
Judge it per candle. Luxury Soy Chunks cost ₹925 more per 10 kg than CSI 464, but ₹17.02 more per 200g candle, an 8.1% rise in materials when oil, wick and jar are included. It is worth it when your recipe needs more than 10% load, which CSI 464 does not state, or when your own burn tests give you materially fewer rejects in your jar. If your recipe works at 8–10% in CSI 464, the cheaper wax usually makes the cheaper sellable candle.
Can I get a better price than the listed 10 kg price?
The listed price is what you pay when you order online, and on most CSI soy waxes it does not fall between 1 kg and 10 kg. For regular or larger orders, message CSI on WhatsApp with the wax, quantity, how often you reorder, your pincode and GST number, and ask for a quote. This guide does not predict what that quote will be; the listed price is the ceiling.

Non-wax materials per candle ₹115.83 = Sandalwood Fragrance Oil 1 kg ₹5,026.80 (16g = ₹80.43) + Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 100 ₹590 (₹5.90 each) + 200ml Salsa Glass Jar 100 pcs ₹2,950 (₹29.50 each; capacity stated in ml). Cost per sellable candle = materials ÷ (1 − reject rate); reject rates of 2%, 5% and 10% are illustrative, not measured; breakevens: CSI 464 vs Luxury Soy Chunks at 2% ≈ 9.4%, Eco Soy CSI 400 vs CSI 464 at 2% ≈ 11.3%. Failed-bag example: ₹4,248 + ₹5,999 = ₹10,247; two 1 kg tests ₹450 + ₹599 = ₹1,049. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
