Buy Candle Wicks Online in India

What does that spread cost? ₹247.80 — a Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 10-pack at ₹59.00 plus a Thick (C2) 20-pack at ₹188.80. Add a Performance Wooden Wicks 10-pack at ₹590.00 only if you actually want to trial wooden.
Do C1 and C2 mean anything standard? No. They are relative sizes inside one range — C2 is thicker than C1, and that is the whole guarantee. Wick numbering does not transfer between brands, so changing supplier means re-testing.
Should I order 1,000 wicks to save money? There is nothing to save. Eco C1 is ₹5.90 per wick at 10 and at 1,000. The pricing is flat, so a big first order buys you no discount and a large quantity of possibly wrong wicks.
The ordering problem nobody warns you about
Search for wicks online and every listing behaves as though wick choice were a lookup: pick your jar size, read off a size, add to cart. It is not a lookup. A wick is a fuel pump, and how much fuel it needs to move is decided by the mixture it is pumping and the space it has to heat. Four variables set that, and a product page has access to none of them.
One — your wax. Soy, coconut soy, paraffin and beeswax do not melt at the same temperature or draw up a wick at the same rate. A wick that opens a clean pool in Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399 per kilogram can under-perform in a denser blend and over-perform in soft paraffin. Even two soy waxes behave differently: a flake and a chunk pack into the jar differently and set with different crystal structures.
Two — your fragrance load. Fragrance oil is fuel the wick did not ask for, and it changes viscosity. The same candle at 6% and at 10% is not the same burn. Push the load up and a wick that was correct starts to drown or to soot; drop it and the same wick suddenly runs hot. This is why a maker who reformulates a scent and keeps the wick often reports that "the supplier's quality changed". The supplier changed nothing.
Three — your colour. Liquid dye and mica are solids and pigments suspended in the melt pool, and they clog the braid. A heavily pigmented black or deep red candle frequently needs a step up from the wick that was perfect in the undyed version. Anyone dosing liquid dyes heavily should treat colour as a variable in its own right, not as decoration applied after the recipe is settled.
Four — your jar's internal diameter. Not the fill weight, not the marketing size, the actual internal width the melt pool has to reach. Two jars sold as 200 g can have meaningfully different internal diameters, and diameter is what sets the pool the wick must open. A tall narrow vessel and a short wide one of identical capacity need different wicks.
The arithmetic makes the case on its own. A first production batch of 100 candles at 200 g each uses 20 kg of wax — four 5 kg bags of Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹1,996 each, so ₹7,984 — plus 100 vessels at ₹70.80 each from the White Matte Glass Jar family, another ₹7,080. That is ₹15,064 of materials before a rupee of fragrance, all of it riding on a wick you have never burned. Against that, ₹247.80 of mixed wick sizes is not an expense. It is the cheapest insurance in the entire supply chain.
What to actually order first, priced exactly
Here is the order, line by line, at CSI live pricing for September 2026. Nothing on this list is aspirational and nothing is padded — it is the smallest basket that lets you run a real test and pour the result into a sellable candle.

Reading a wick listing: what the words actually mean
Wick listings use a vocabulary that looks standardised and is not. Knowing exactly how much each label promises is the difference between an informed order and a hopeful one.
| What the listing says | What it actually tells you | What it does not tell you |
|---|---|---|
| Thin (C1) / Thick (C2) | Relative sizing within this one range. C2 is thicker than C1. That is the entire guarantee | Any absolute measurement, any jar diameter, any burn rate. C1 is not "a 6 mm wick" |
| "For jar candles" / "for container candles" | The wick is tabbed and sized for vessels rather than pillars or moulds | Which vessel. A 55 mm votive and an 80 mm apothecary are both jars |
| A brand's numeric series (a "CD", "ECO" or "LX" number elsewhere) | A position on that manufacturer's ladder | Nothing transferable. There is no industry conversion chart that survives contact with a real burn test |
| Pack of 10 / 50 / 100 / 500 / 1,000 | Quantity only. On Eco Candle Wicks the per-wick price is identical at every tier | Nothing about suitability. A larger pack is not a better wick |
| Metres, not pieces | You are buying wick material on a length basis and tabbing it yourself | That tabs, stickers and a crimping habit are now your problem |
The relative-sizing point is the one that costs people money. C1 and C2 describe two rungs on one ladder. They are not a standard, they are not calibrated against anyone else's numbers, and no honest supplier claims otherwise. The practical consequence is simple and unwelcome: if you change wick supplier, you re-test. Not "check the conversion chart" — re-test, the same way you tested the first time, three jars per candidate size. Makers who skip this because the new wick "looked the same thickness" are the ones posting photographs of tunnelled candles a fortnight later.
Pre-tabbed, loose or roll — what actually arrives
Wicks ship in three formats and they are not interchangeable in terms of what you still have to buy. Get this wrong and your wicks arrive and sit unusable for a week while a second order catches up.
| Item | Price | Per unit | Order it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Candle Wick Stickers | ₹100.00 / 40 | ₹2.50 | Always. Non-negotiable with the first wick order |
| Large Wick Stickers (40 × 2 mm) | ₹249.00 / 40 | ₹6.23 | Wooden wicks or wide sustainer tabs |
| Bamboo Wick Holder (set of 5) | ₹118.00 | ₹23.60 | The cheapest way to hold five jars centred at once |
| Steel Wick Holder (set of 5) | ₹250.00 | ₹50.00 | Daily production; also ₹500 / 10 and ₹1,250 / 25 |
| Wick Centering Device (pack of 5) | ₹118.00 | ₹23.60 | Narrow-necked jars where a bar holder will not sit |
| Premium Candle Wicking Needle | ₹472.00 | ₹472.00 | Moulds, pillars and tapers — threading without leakage |
| Wick Inserter, Steel Straw | ₹59.00 | ₹59.00 | Deep or narrow vessels your fingers do not reach |
| Wick Setting Tool | ₹399.00 | ₹399.00 | Seating tabs flat and dead centre, repeatedly |
| Candle Wick Cutter / Trimmer | ₹295.00 | ₹295.00 | Burn testing — you cannot judge a wick you did not trim |
The minimum honest tooling spend alongside a first wick order is ₹336.00 — stickers at ₹100, a bamboo holder set at ₹118 and a centering device pack at ₹118. Add a trimmer at ₹295 and you are at ₹631, which matters because trimming to a consistent length is part of the test protocol, not an afterthought. A wick judged untrimmed is a wick judged wrong. Everything in that table sits in the Candle Accessories collection alongside the Candle Wicks collection, so the whole basket ships together.
Quantities, the scrap allowance, and what to check on arrival
Two different quantity questions get confused constantly: how many wicks you need to test, and how many you need to produce. They have different answers and they should be different orders, placed weeks apart.
| Stage | What you need | Order | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Test, one jar size | 3 candidate sizes × 3 jars, plus 3 spares for a re-run | C1 × 10 + C2 × 20 | ₹247.80 |
| Test, three jar sizes | Same protocol repeated per diameter — around 30 wicks | C1 × 20 + C2 × 20 | ₹306.80 |
| First production month | One wick per candle, plus roughly 5% for pour faults | C1 × 100 | ₹590.00 |
| Steady production, 100/month | Six months of cover in one order | C1 × 500 | ₹2,950.00 |
| Festival run | Only after the size is settled — see the bulk guide | C1 × 1,000 | ₹5,900.00 |
Now the part most makers forget entirely: the scrap allowance. Burn testing consumes finished candles. Not wicks — candles. Nine test jars at 200 g each is 1.8 kg of wax, which at Eco Soy CSI 400 pricing of ₹399 per kilogram is ₹718.20, plus ten vessels — a pack of ten White Matte Glass Jars at ₹708.00 — plus the fragrance you are testing at, because a test burned without fragrance tells you nothing about the candle you will actually sell. Call it roughly ₹1,430 of wax and glass before fragrance, against ₹247.80 of wicks. The wicks are the cheapest line in the experiment by a wide margin, which is precisely why the spread should be generous and the batch should not.
Then check what arrives, before it goes anywhere near wax. Wicks are light, cheap and easy to damage in transit, and five minutes with the packet open saves a ruined pour. Four things, in order.
If something in that list fails, say so on the same day, with a photograph, before the packet is opened further. That is true of any supplier, and it is why ordering wicks from a store with a published product page and a reachable number matters more than ordering the absolute cheapest wick on a marketplace listing. On wick pricing and delivery specifically, our own reviews say what they say: Monika Deep rates the wick quality four stars and asks us to work on pricing and delivery timelines, and Subhankar Roy asks the same of delivery. We have published both here rather than picking six five-star lines, because a maker planning a festive run needs to know delivery is a real constraint and should order earlier than feels necessary — the Diwali lead-time maths is here, and Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA sells wicks, and this page tells you to buy thirty of them instead of a thousand. That is deliberate. Wick pricing here is flat per unit at every pack size, so a large speculative first order earns us more money today and earns you nothing at all — and a maker whose first batch tunnels does not place a second order. The commercially sensible advice and the honest advice happen to be the same one: test small, then buy volume.
Every price on this page is taken from live CSI stock on 10 September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing, variants and stock always take precedence. Where a variant was out of stock on that date — the Eco C2 10-pack and the 100-sticker sheet — we have said so rather than quoting it as buyable. The Candle Wicks collection holds 7 products and the wick accessories sit in Candle Accessories.
We do not publish burn-time claims, delivery-time promises or customer counts on this page, because those are the figures suppliers most often invent. What we will state is verifiable: flat per-unit wick pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS documentation on request.
