Ten candles at 16 g each need 160 g of fragrance oil. The candle fragrances in this guide are priced in 100 g and 1 kg sizes, so 160 g means two 100 g bottles, which leaves 40 g for a test pour. Buying a kilogram of one scent for ten candles is the classic first-order overbuy: at this size a kilogram of oil fills 62 candles.

The wicks
