CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA has no shop, stockist, warehouse or agent in Dehradun, and none anywhere in Uttarakhand. What it has instead is a published catalogue of 106 candle fragrance oils, 96 of them with at least one pack in stock, and a WhatsApp line for everything the cart cannot settle.

CSI counters, stockists, warehouses or agents in Dehradun — the entire shipping claim is that CSI ships across India. Against that zero sit 106 fragrance-oil listings, 96 with a pack in stock, 87 with a 1 kg bottle, trial packs from ₹68.44 and kilos from ₹2,832 · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Is there a candle fragrance oil shop in Dehradun? Not a CSI one. There is no CSI outlet, franchise, stockist or pickup point in Dehradun, Mussoorie, Rishikesh or Haridwar. CSI is an online raw-material supplier that ships across India and takes bulk orders on WhatsApp. That is the whole of the claim, and anything beyond it would be invented.

So what does "serving Dehradun" actually buy me? Prices, pack sizes, stated scent notes and — on most listings — a stated candle load, all published before you spend anything. 96 of 106 oils have a pack in stock, 87 list a 1 kg bottle, and the cheapest kilo on the shelf is ₹2,832.

What does a Doon valley maker actually need from the range? Usually four shelves, not one: a bright, cheap votive for hill visitors, a spa-leaning jar for retreat and studio clients, a warm resinous candle for weddings and gifting, and one low-cost everyday scent that carries the café and home trade.

What will CSI not tell you? No page states a shelf life, a storage temperature, a lead time or a delivery date, and no page publishes an SDS. Ask for documentation on WhatsApp and set your own storage and cure routine — this guide shows how.
The short answer
Judge the supplier on its blanks, not its adjectives: a page that publishes a load, a pack ladder and a scent structure has given you something to test against. A page that publishes none of those has given you a gamble, and there are some of both on this shelf.
Buy the shelf your city actually sells: Dehradun's candle money moves through hill visitors, retreats and studios, weddings and institutional gifting, and everyday café and home orders. Four scents bought against those four buyers beats twelve bought against a mood board.
Distance costs you nothing in price and everything in verification: the catalogue is the same in Dehradun as in Delhi, so the only thing you cannot outsource is the burn test. Budget for it in the first order.
What the fragrance costs inside one finished candle — four Dehradun shelves, 8% load Café everyday · 120g jar ₹32.74 · Grapefruit Oleo · 9.6g Same oil, bigger jar · 150g ₹40.92 · Grapefruit Oleo · 12g Hill visitor · 70g votive ₹41.94 · Juicy Orange · 5.6g Wedding gifting · 120g jar ₹76.70 · Midnight Bakhoor Royale · 9.6g Retreat & studio · 150g jar ₹95.88 · Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon · 12g Oil priced at each listing's 100 g rung · 8% of finished candle weight · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Bar length is rupees of fragrance oil inside one finished candle. Read the second bar against the third: a 150 g candle made with the cheap oil carries ₹1.02 less fragrance cost than a 70 g votive made with the dearer one, despite being more than twice the candle. On a shelf this wide the candle size you choose moves the fragrance line as much as the oil you choose, and the two decisions have to be made together rather than one after the other.
Straight answer
Who supplies candle fragrance oil to Dehradun, and what can that supplier honestly promise?
CSI supplies it the only way a national online supplier can: by publishing everything a buyer would otherwise have to ask for, and shipping across India. There is no counter, no stockist and no local agent, so the catalogue is the shop. It holds 106 fragrance-oil listings, of which 96 have at least one pack in stock and 87 list a 1 kg bottle — the largest fragrance pack anywhere on the site. Trial packs start at ₹68.44 for 15 g and the cheapest kilo is ₹2,832. For a Doon valley maker that translates into four practical shelves: Juicy Orange at ₹749 per 100 g for the votives hill visitors buy, Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon at ₹799 per 100 g for retreat and studio clients, Midnight Bakhoor Royale at ₹799 per 100 g for wedding and gifting boxes, and Grapefruit Oleo at ₹341 per 100 g as the everyday scent that keeps the margin honest. Pour them into Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹599 a kilo with Eco Candle Wicks from ₹59 for ten, and the fragrance inside one candle runs from ₹32.74 to ₹95.88. What CSI will not publish is a delivery date, a shelf life, a storage temperature or a downloadable certificate — those belong on WhatsApp or in your own notebook, and this guide is mostly about the second one.
One line: nothing about this supplier is local to Dehradun, everything about it is written down, and the written-down part is what you are actually buying.
Starting a Doon valley shelf? Grapefruit Oleo 100 g at ₹341, Juicy Orange 15 g at ₹126 to shortlist with, and Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 1 kg at ₹599 — the whole recipe from one supplier, in one parcel.

What a supplier with nothing local can honestly offer

A supplier with a shop can be judged in ten minutes with your nose. A supplier without one has to be judged in an hour with a notebook, and that hour is the price of the arrangement.

Start from the zero in the hero, because everything else follows from it. CSI does not operate a shop in Dehradun, does not have a dealer in Rajpur Road or Mussoorie, and does not run a pickup point you can reach on a scooter. It ships across India and it takes bulk orders on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. Any supplier telling you more than that about your particular city — a delivery day, a courier, a local rate card — is telling you something it cannot know in advance, and you should discount the rest of the page accordingly.

What remains is not small. Four things a maker normally has to extract from a shopkeeper are already written down and standing still while you think: the price of every pack size, the stock state of every pack size, the scent structure in top, heart and base notes, and on most listings a stated candle load. Those four are enough to cost a candle to the paisa before you commit anything, which is something no counter in any city will do for you while you stand there.

The table below splits the relationship honestly. The left column is what the website settles; the middle is what the WhatsApp line settles; the right is what nobody but you can settle, because it happens in your own room with your own wax.

Who settles what · a Dehradun maker buying from a national supplier
The four things you need, and which of the three channels actually answers each one
What you need Settled on the product page Settled on WhatsApp Settled only at your bench
Price and pack Every rung, with its stock state — 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg depending on the listing Anything above the listed 1 kg bottle, as a quote Nothing — this one is fully published
What it smells like Top, heart and base notes in the page's own words Nothing useful; no one can describe a scent to you down a phone line Cold throw at 48 hours and hot throw after cure. This is the real answer
How much to use A stated candle load on most listings — but not all, and the wax page has a ceiling too Which of two ceilings applies if you are unsure Whether your jar and wick can carry that load without soot or a weak pool
Paperwork Nothing is attached — no SDS, no certificate, no allergen list GST invoicing, bulk pricing, SDS and IFRA documentation on request for a named oil Your own batch record, which is the document a customer complaint actually needs
The mistake: waiting for the Doon valley to grow a candle-supply lane. Dehradun has plenty of trade in glass, packaging and printing, and a maker can source jars and boxes close to home. Candle-grade fragrance oil with a published load and a published pack ladder is a different market, and it is national. The makers who stall are the ones who keep scanning for a local option while the festive window closes. The ones who ship treat the first online order as the local option — one parcel, one inspection, one set of variables — and get on with the burn test. The ordering sequence is in buying candle fragrance oils online in Dehradun.
Read the stock state before the scent notes
On a listing with five rungs, a sold-out 100 g does not mean the oil is unavailable — it means your planned quantity is. Decide the size you need first, confirm that exact rung is buyable, and only then read the notes. It saves the particular disappointment of falling for a scent whose only in-stock pack is four times the quantity you can turn over. Across the range, 96 of 106 listings have at least one pack in stock and 87 have a kilo, so most of the shelf is reachable — but not at every size. Grapefruit Oleo is a live example: its 100 g rung is buyable at ₹341, while its 50 g and its kilo are currently out of stock.

Four Doon valley shelves, and what each one needs

Dehradun's candle money does not come from one kind of buyer, and a maker who builds one range for all of them ends up with a shelf that suits nobody in particular. Four buyer types recur in the valley, and each one dictates a candle size, a price ceiling and a scent family before it dictates anything else. Work out which of the four you are actually selling to this season, then buy for that one.

The first is the hill visitor. Dehradun is the gateway to Mussoorie, Rishikesh and Haridwar, and a large share of retail candle sales in the valley are souvenirs — bought quickly, carried in hand luggage, priced to be an impulse. That buyer wants a small candle and a bright, immediately legible scent. The second is the retreat, studio and homestay trade: yoga and wellness places, boutique stays, salons. They buy in repeat quantities against a house scent and they care far more about consistency than novelty. The third is weddings and institutional gifting — the valley's schools, institutes and offices, plus the wedding trade that runs through the cooler months. That buyer wants a candle that reads expensive inside a box. The fourth is the everyday café and home order, which is where the volume and the thin margin both live.

Four Dehradun buyers · candle size, scent family and fragrance cost · CSI live pricing, September 2026
What each buyer type dictates, and what the oil costs inside one candle at an 8% load
Buyer Candle it buys Scent family that works A CSI oil for it Oil per candle at 8% Oil cost per candle
Hill visitor · souvenir 70 g votive, bought on impulse Bright citrus that reads in two seconds on a shop shelf Juicy Orange · 100 g ₹749 5.6 g ₹41.94
Retreat, studio, homestay 150 g jar, reordered against a house scent Creamy floral or spa-leaning, low drama, high repeatability Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon · 100 g ₹799 12 g ₹95.88
Wedding and institutional gifting 120 g jar inside a box, often in threes Warm resinous or smoky wood that signals expense Midnight Bakhoor Royale · 100 g ₹799 9.6 g ₹76.70
Everyday café and home 120 g jar, sold on repeat at a modest price Fresh citrus with clean colour behaviour Grapefruit Oleo · 100 g ₹341 9.6 g ₹32.74
Worked out above: oil per candle = finished candle weight × 8%, priced at each listing's 100 g rung. Juicy Orange ₹749 ÷ 100 = ₹7.49/g × 5.6 g = ₹41.94 · Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon ₹799 ÷ 100 = ₹7.99/g × 12 g = ₹95.88 · Midnight Bakhoor Royale ₹7.99/g × 9.6 g = ₹76.70 · Grapefruit Oleo ₹341 ÷ 100 = ₹3.41/g × 9.6 g = ₹32.74, and × 12 g = ₹40.92 in a 150 g jar. Load is taken as a share of finished candle weight, so a 120 g jar at 8% is 110.4 g of wax and 9.6 g of oil.

Two things fall out of that table that are worth more than the individual numbers. First, the gifting shelf and the everyday shelf use the same jar and differ only in the oil — ₹76.70 against ₹32.74 of fragrance in an otherwise identical candle. That is the cleanest lever a small maker has: one vessel, one wax, one wick, two price points. Second, the retreat shelf is the most expensive of the four in fragrance terms and the only one that reorders, which is exactly the combination that justifies stepping up a pack size later. Everything else can stay small for longer.

Four oils for a Dehradun shelf

Each card shows every pack size the listing carries, its price, the price per kilogram at that rung and roughly how many 120 g jars the pack pours at 8%. Two of these four pages state a candle load; two state nothing at all, and the cards say which is which, because that difference changes how you should test them.

1
Citrus aromatic · stated 8–10% in soy · the souvenir votive
Juicy Orange Fragrance Oil
The oil for the candle a visitor picks up on the way to Mussoorie. Its page describes sweet orange, mandarin and bergamot over neroli and light jasmine, with white musk and soft amber underneath, and calls it ideal for summer and daytime — which maps neatly onto the valley's April-to-June visitor season. Crucially it states a candle load: 8–10% in soy wax. That published band is what lets you cost a votive before you buy, and it is also your permission to nudge upward if a 70 g candle reads quietly in a shop with the door open. Note the ladder: the 15 g bottle is ₹8.40 a gram and the 100 g is ₹7.49, so the trial costs a premium of about 12% a gram for the privilege of being small.
Size Price Per kg 120g jars @ 8%
15g ₹126 ₹8,400 ≈1
50g ₹379 ₹7,580 ≈5
100g ₹749 ₹7,490 ≈10

₹41.94 of oil in a 70 g votive at 8%, at the 100 g rung Buy Juicy Orange
2
Creamy tropical floral · no stated candle load · the retreat jar
Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon
Rishikesh and the valley's boutique stays and studios buy a scent and then keep buying it, which makes this the most valuable shelf to get right. The page gives a full structure — coconut milk and bergamot over jasmine sambac and tiare flower, drying to vanilla cream, sandalwood and soft musk — and describes it as spa coconut rather than sunscreen coconut, which is a useful distinction when a studio owner is deciding. What the page does not give is a candle percentage: its usage guidance is written for perfume, not wax. So pour it at 8%, stay inside your wax's stated ceiling, and let the cured burn decide whether it goes up. The method is in how to test hot throw before launching a candle fragrance.
Size Price Per kg 120g jars @ 8%
15g ₹133 ₹8,866.67 ≈1
50g ₹399 ₹7,980 ≈5
100g ₹799 ₹7,990 ≈10
500g ₹3,999 ₹7,998 ≈52
1kg ₹7,999 ₹7,999 ≈104
₹95.88 of oil in a 150 g jar at 8%, at the 100 g rung Buy Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon
3
Smoky resinous oud · no stated candle load · the gifting box
Midnight Bakhoor Royale
Weddings and institutional gifting are the valley's cool-season business, and a boxed candle has to announce its price before anyone lights it. This page describes a spiced incense opening over oud wood and smoky resin, with amber, musk and balsamic warmth at the base, and sets its own expectation as strong projection with a very long-lasting base. Treat that as the page's description of its character, not a measured performance figure — CSI publishes no throw test. It states no candle load, so hold it at 8%; with an oil this dense that is usually plenty, and over-dosing a resinous oil is the fastest route to a candle that smells thin when lit. Pair it with a darker vessel: this is not the oil for a white wax you want to stay white.
Size Price Per kg 120g jars @ 8%
100g ₹799 ₹7,990 ≈10
500g ₹3,999 ₹7,998 ≈52
1kg ₹7,999 ₹7,999 ≈104
₹76.70 of oil in a 120 g jar at 8%, at the 100 g rung Buy Midnight Bakhoor Royale
4
Fresh citrus · stated 7–10%, start at 7% · the everyday jar
Grapefruit Oleo
The cheapest per gram of the four and the one that carries the volume. Its page describes pink grapefruit, citrus zest and bergamot over a soft floral-green heart of neroli, orange flower and green notes, drying to white musk, light woods and amber. It states a candle load of 7–10%, starting at 7%, and a threshold flash point line of > 93°C (suitable for alcohol-based products) — which is a template line about alcohol formats, not a measured value, so do not build a pouring rule on it. On colour it is unusually specific and unusually reassuring: discolouration is low, and the page states the oil is well suited to white and light-coloured wax, which makes it the one oil on this page you can pour into a pale vessel without a second thought. At ₹3.41 a gram it puts ₹32.74 of fragrance in a 120 g jar, well under half what the gifting oil costs in the same vessel. Read the size table carefully: only the 100 g rung is currently in stock.
Size Price Per kg 120g jars @ 8%
50g (sold out) ₹170 ₹3,400 ≈5
100g ₹341 ₹3,410 ≈10
1kg (sold out) ₹3,407 ₹3,407 ≈104
₹32.74 of oil in a 120 g jar at 8%, at the 100 g rung Buy Grapefruit Oleo
Do not read a "> 93°C" line as a flash point you can plan around. Thirty-two listings in the range carry that same threshold sentence, and it exists to tell perfumers that the oil suits alcohol-based products. Only 18 of 106 listings publish a specific measured flash point in °C or °F, and none of the four oils on this page is one of them. A flash point is not a pouring instruction in any case: the temperature that governs your pour is the one on the wax's page. For Luxury Soy Wax Chunks that is fragrance in at 80–90°C and a pour at 70–80°C. More on why the add temperature matters: best temperature for adding fragrance oil to soy wax.

What CSI does not publish, and does not stock

A supplier is easiest to trust when it says where it stops. Everything in this section is a genuine gap, named so that you can plan around it rather than discover it in the week before a delivery. None of it is a reason not to buy; all of it is a reason to keep your own records.

The honest inventory · fragrance oils and the wider range · September 2026
What is missing, how many listings it affects, and what to do instead
Not published or not stocked Scale of it What to do about it
Shelf life, expiry or best-before No fragrance-oil page states one Date every bottle on arrival in your own hand and use oldest first. Do not repeat a shelf life you read elsewhere as if it were CSI's
Storage temperature or storage instructions No fragrance-oil page states any Set your own routine: caps tight, bottles upright, out of direct sun, away from the wax. Treat it as your practice, not a specification
A measured flash point Stated on 18 of 106 listings; 32 more give only a "> 93°C" threshold; 56 state nothing Ask for the SDS for a named oil on WhatsApp if you need the figure for a specific reason
A stated candle load 81 of 107 fragrance pages state a percentage; 26 state none Pour the silent ones at 8% and let a cured burn test move them, never a forum post
Delivery days, courier or shipping rates to Dehradun Not published anywhere Order early against a written calendar. Nothing on this page can be made into a delivery promise
Fragrance oil above 1 kg 1 kg is the largest listed fragrance pack; 87 listings have one Multiply the kilos you need, then ask for a quote on WhatsApp for recurring volume. Never assume a price for a quantity that is not listed
Soy wax in 25 kg or 100 kg Not listed; largest soy packs are 10 kg, and 50 kg on Natural Soy Pearl Wax Combine listed packs — the listed per-kilo price is your ceiling — and route standing volumes to WhatsApp
Candle-making machines and pre-tabbed wicks Neither is in the catalogue CSI lists electric wax melters and hand tools. For wicks, the closest are Eco Candle Wicks and Cotton Braided Wicks Ready Made, neither of which is described as tabbed
The mistake: reading an IFRA line as a document in your hand. Most fragrance listings in the range mention IFRA somewhere — as a compliance row, a badge or a sentence about staying inside category limits. Not one page anywhere gives a certificate number, an amendment number, a category number or a date, and not one attaches a downloadable file. So the honest position is this: the wording on the page is the page's own claim about compliance, and documentation is supplied on request via WhatsApp for a named oil. If a client needs paperwork, ask for it by product name before you promise anything, and never describe your own finished candle using a certification you have not seen.

What a Doon valley year does to oil, wax and finished candles

Dehradun gives a candle maker two genuinely difficult stretches and one easy one — and unusually for India, the difficult stretches pull in opposite directions.

This section is about general material behaviour, not local statistics. CSI publishes no climate data and this guide invents none. What follows is what heat, damp and cold do to wax, oil and glass anywhere, arranged against the shape of a Doon valley year so you know which one to plan for next. Every figure described as a planning assumption is exactly that.

The valley's distinguishing feature, from a candle bench's point of view, is that it gets a properly cool winter as well as a heavy monsoon. Most Indian makers learn one set of habits — the hot-and-humid set. A Dehradun maker needs both sets, and needs to switch between them deliberately rather than discovering in January that the pour that worked in August now sinks in the middle.

The working year in the valley · general material behaviour, not local statistics
What each stretch does, what you will actually see, and the one thing to change
Stretch What it does to materials What you will see Change this one thing
Cool, dry winter Glass and moulds sit cold; soy sets faster than the maker expects; cured candles are hard and take longer to release scent into a cold room Wet spots where wax pulls away from cold glass, sink holes over the wick, a candle that smells fine cold and slow to fill a room when lit Bring the jars into the pouring room hours before you pour, not minutes. Pour at the top of the wax page's stated range rather than the bottom
Spring, warming and dry The easiest stretch of the year: stable room temperature, low damp, predictable set Clean tops, repeatable pool times, tests that agree with each other Nothing — use it. This is the window to run comparisons and lock a recipe for the year
Early summer, warm Stored candles soften in a closed room; fragrance reads louder off the cold jar and can seem to fade faster in the air Fingerprints in the wax surface, labels lifting at the corner, a votive that looks tired in a shop window Store the finished stock lower and shaded, and stop judging a new scent in the warmest room in the house
Monsoon, long and wet Damp air everywhere; cartons soften; cold glass sweats when it meets warm wet air; labels stop sticking Condensation inside a lidded jar, adhesive failures, cartons that will not stack Keep jars, labels and cartons in the driest room you have and wipe every jar dry immediately before pouring
Post-monsoon into festive Clear, mild and the busiest selling stretch of the year — and the one where a rushed cure costs the most Candles poured and boxed too fast reading weaker than the same recipe did in spring Protect the cure, not the pour date. Count backwards from the delivery, not forwards from today
Two cheap habits that make a valley workshop behave
First, keep a cheap room thermometer on the bench and write the reading on every batch line. Two identical pours at different room temperatures are not the same test, and in a city with a cool winter and a wet monsoon that difference is large enough to mislead you for weeks. Second, decant nothing and open nothing you do not need to open. An unopened bottle in a cupboard is the least eventful thing in your workshop; a half-used kilo standing open through a monsoon is the most. Neither habit is a CSI specification — no page states a storage condition — and both cost almost nothing.

One consequence worth stating plainly: a cold snap can make some fragrance oils look cloudy or thick in the bottle. That is ordinary physical behaviour of a blended oil at low temperature, not evidence about the oil. Bring it back to room temperature, stir it, and weigh as normal. Do not add extra to compensate for what the bottle looked like, and do not warm oil on a direct heat source.

The CSI principle
A supplier you cannot visit is not a weaker supplier. It is a supplier whose whole case has to fit on a page you are allowed to read twice.
Everything a Dehradun maker gains from CSI is written down before money moves: prices at five rungs, stock at each rung, scent structure, and a stated load on most listings. Everything a Dehradun maker has to supply themselves is also known in advance: the storage routine, the cure discipline, the batch record and the burn test. A relationship where both halves are known in advance is a better arrangement than a shop counter where neither is.

The Dehradun selling calendar, and what it does to ordering

Dehradun's ordering rhythm is unusual because it has two separate peaks with a wet trough between them: a hill-visitor season in the warmer months, and a long festive-and-wedding stretch from autumn into winter that the Mussoorie New Year trade extends further than most Indian cities manage. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November, and in Garhwal the weeks that follow carry Igas, which keeps lamp-and-candle demand alive after the national festive week has ended. The calendar below is a planning schedule, not a delivery promise — CSI publishes no lead times, so the buffers here are deliberately generous and the dates are yours to set.

Working back from 8 November 2026 · planning schedule, not a delivery commitment
What each window is for, and what a Dehradun maker should be buying in it
Window What it is for What to buy
Now to mid-October The last honest testing window before the festive pour. Anything you have not burned by now should not go into a gift box 15 g and 50 g trials of anything untested. Juicy Orange at ₹126 for 15 g, one kilo of wax, ten jars
Mid-October Place the festive order complete — oil, wax, wicks, jars, stickers together, so one arrival check covers the whole recipe The 100 g or 500 g rung of the two scents that passed, plus wax in the largest pack you will actually pour
Mid-October to 1 November Pour and cure. A 14–21 day cure on soy containers is standard practice and it is the part of the schedule that cannot be compressed Nothing. If you are still buying materials here, the batch will not be cured when it ships
1–8 November Label, box and deliver Diwali orders Packaging only. Keep one uncut jar of each scent back as your reference sample
Weeks after Diwali Igas in Garhwal keeps the lamp-and-candle season running after the national week ends — the reorder most makers forget to plan for A second, smaller buy of the scent that sold, at the rung you can turn over in three weeks
December to New Year Christmas and the Mussoorie winter-visitor trade. Cold rooms and cold glass — this is where the winter pour discipline earns its keep Warm resinous and spiced scents in gift sizes; jars brought into the warm room a day early
Cool-season weddings Favour and hamper volumes, quoted per unit and ordered against a named delivery date The gifting oil at the deepest rung you can commit, and a WhatsApp quote for anything above a kilo
Spring, then the hill season Lock next year's recipes in the easy weather, then pour the votive range for visitors Citrus and fresh fruity at the 100 g or 500 g rung; the cheap everyday scent in depth

Notice what that calendar implies about quantity. A Dehradun maker who sells into both peaks does not need one big annual order; they need two medium orders and a small one, because the scents that sell to a hill visitor in May are not the scents that sell into a wedding hamper in December. Buying the festive kilo in March is how makers end up with a half-used bottle they no longer believe in. There is more on sequencing in how early candle brands should order fragrance oils for Diwali and how to plan fragrance inventory before the festive season.

Selling into the festive and wedding stretch? 1 kg is the largest listed fragrance pack and 87 listings have one, from ₹2,832. Above that, bulk pricing, GST invoicing and documentation are handled directly on WhatsApp — send the scent, the quantity and the date.

How a maker in Dehradun actually orders

Five steps, in this order. The sequence matters more than any individual choice in it, because each step closes off a variable that would otherwise contaminate the next one.

1
Name the buyer before you open the fragrance collectionPick one of the four shelves above and write it down: hill visitor, retreat and studio, wedding and gifting, or everyday café and home. That single decision fixes the candle size, which fixes the grams of oil per unit, which fixes the rung you should be shopping at. A maker who opens the fragrance collection before deciding this buys on smell and works the maths out afterwards, which is the wrong way round.
2
Shortlist on four published fields, then check the rung is buyableFor each candidate read the stated notes, the stated candle load if there is one, the pack ladder and the stock state of the rung you actually want. Reject anything whose planned size is unavailable — there are 96 listings with stock, so you are not short of options. Put the shortlist in a two-column note: oil, and price per gram at the rung you will buy.
3
Buy the whole recipe in one parcelOil, wax, wicks, jars and wick stickers together. One parcel means one arrival check, one set of variables and one date in your batch record. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹599 a kilo states an 8–13% load with 10% recommended, fragrance in at 80–90°C and a pour at 70–80°C; Eco Candle Wicks start at ₹59 for ten. Ordering oil from one place and wax from another on a first order means you cannot attribute a failure to either.
4
Use WhatsApp for the four things a cart cannot doBulk pricing above the listed 1 kg bottle; a GST invoice for a business purchase; an SDS or the IFRA wording for a named oil; and a straight question about which of two oils suits a specific jar. Send the scent name, the quantity in grams and the date you need it against. Ask before you promise anything to a client, not after.
5
Open the parcel as an inspection, then write the first line of the batch recordCount the bottles, check each cap, check the pack size printed on each against what you ordered, and confirm the jar count and rims before anything is poured. Then start the record: date received, oil and rung, wax and pack, wick, room temperature. A supplier 400-odd kilometres away cannot keep this record for you, and it is the only document that will tell you what went wrong if something does.
A supplier in your city can be trusted with a handshake. A supplier in a catalogue has to be trusted with a notebook — and the notebook turns out to be the better instrument.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and it does not make the oils it sells. That matters on a page like this one, because it means we have no reason to talk up a scent and every reason to tell a Dehradun maker to buy 15 g before they buy a kilo. We would sell more fragrance oil by claiming a local presence we do not have. Saying plainly that there is no counter, stockist or agent in Uttarakhand is the only version of this page that is worth reading.

Every price, pack size and stated specification here comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Stated loads, notes and flash-point lines are quoted only where the listing states them — Juicy Orange states 8–10% in soy, Grapefruit Oleo states 7–10% starting at 7% — and where a page states nothing, this guide says so rather than filling the gap. Loads are wax and oil formulation guidance, not regulatory limits. Climate content describes general material behaviour; no local temperature or humidity figure is published by CSI or claimed here.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a candle fragrance oil supplier with a shop in Dehradun?
CSI has no shop, stockist, warehouse, franchise or agent in Dehradun or anywhere in Uttarakhand, and no pickup point in Mussoorie, Rishikesh or Haridwar. It is an online raw-material supplier that ships across India and takes bulk orders on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. What it offers instead of a counter is published pricing at every pack size, published stock state, published scent notes and a stated candle load on most listings — enough to cost a candle exactly before you spend anything.
How many fragrance oils can a Dehradun maker actually buy today?
Of 106 fragrance-oil listings, 96 have at least one pack size in stock and 87 list a 1 kg bottle, which is the largest fragrance pack on the site. Trial sizes start at ₹68.44 for 15 g and the cheapest kilo is ₹2,832. Availability is per pack size, not per oil, so an oil can be buyable at 100 g and unavailable at 500 g. Always confirm the rung you actually want before you build a recipe around the scent.
Which fragrance oils suit the kind of candles that sell in Dehradun?
It depends on which of four buyers you are selling to. For souvenir votives bought by hill visitors, a bright citrus such as Juicy Orange (stated 8–10% in soy). For retreats, studios and boutique stays, a creamy spa-leaning floral such as Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon. For wedding and institutional gift boxes, a smoky resin such as Midnight Bakhoor Royale. For everyday volume, Grapefruit Oleo at ₹3.41 a gram — note that only its 100 g rung is in stock.
Does Dehradun's weather change how I should make candles?
It changes when you should do what. A cool, dry winter makes glass cold, sets soy faster and produces wet spots and sink holes unless jars are warmed to room temperature before pouring. A long, wet monsoon does the opposite job on labels, cartons and lidded jars through condensation. Spring is the easy window and the right time to lock a recipe. These are general material behaviours you can verify yourself; CSI publishes no climate data and this guide invents none.
Can I get a GST invoice, an SDS or IFRA documentation for an oil?
Yes, by request on WhatsApp for a named product. Nothing is attached to the listings: no page publishes an SDS, and although most fragrance pages mention IFRA somewhere, none states a certificate number, amendment number, category number or date, and none offers a download. So ask before you commit to a client who needs paperwork, and never describe your finished candle using a certification you have not personally seen. Bulk pricing and GST invoicing are handled on the same line.
What is the largest quantity of one fragrance oil I can order to Dehradun?
The largest listed pack is 1 kg, available on 87 of the 106 listings. Above that there is no page to read: you can multiply the kilos you need and treat the listed per-kilo price as your ceiling, then send the scent, the quantity in grams and your delivery date to WhatsApp for a quote. CSI publishes no bulk price above the listed packs, so any figure you see quoted for 5 kg or 10 kg of a fragrance oil has been invented by whoever wrote it.

Figures verified September 2026: catalogue counts — 106 fragrance-oil listings, 96 with at least one pack size in stock, 87 listing a 1 kg bottle, 55 listing a 15 g trial and 50 with that 15 g in stock; cheapest in-stock fragrance pack ₹68.44 (15 gm) and cheapest 1 kg bottle ₹2,832. Prices used: Juicy Orange 15g ₹126, 50g ₹379, 100g ₹749, 500g ₹3,749, 1kg ₹7,499; Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon 15g ₹133, 50g ₹399, 100g ₹799, 500g ₹3,999, 1kg ₹7,999; Midnight Bakhoor Royale 100g ₹799, 500g ₹3,999, 1kg ₹7,999; Grapefruit Oleo 100g ₹341 (its 50g ₹170 and 1kg ₹3,407 are currently out of stock); Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 1 kg ₹599; Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 10 wicks ₹59. Oil-cost arithmetic: grams of oil = finished candle weight × 8%, priced at each listing's 100 g rung — ₹7.49/g × 5.6 g = ₹41.94 (70 g votive, Juicy Orange); ₹3.41/g × 9.6 g = ₹32.74 and × 12 g = ₹40.92 (Grapefruit Oleo); ₹7.99/g × 9.6 g = ₹76.70 (Midnight Bakhoor Royale) and × 12 g = ₹95.88 (Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon). A 120 g jar at 8% is 110.4 g wax + 9.6 g oil. Stated page fields: Juicy Orange "8-10% in soy wax"; Grapefruit Oleo "Recommended load - candles 7-10% (start at 7%)", "Discoloration is low" with the oil "well suited to white and light-coloured wax and soap bases" and "Flash point > 93°C (suitable for alcohol-based products)"; Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon and Midnight Bakhoor Royale state no candle percentage. Range-wide: 81 of 107 fragrance pages state a usage percentage, 18 state a specific measured flash point, 32 give only the "> 93°C" threshold line, and none states a shelf life, storage instruction, IFRA certificate number or attached SDS. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks stated 8–13% load with 10% recommended, fragrance at 80–90°C, pour 70–80°C. Diwali 2026 is 8 November. Cure of 14–21 days on soy containers is standard practice, not a published CSI specification. Delivery times, courier names, shipping rates and local stock are not published and are not claimed here. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
