From price per kilogram to price per candle at every jar size
The conversion on this page uses a 200 g candle. Few ranges are one size. Sampler tins, gifting jars and large jars each carry a different share of the wax bill, and the rupee gap between waxes grows with the jar.
One wax, five sizes
In Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (flakes) at ₹507.40 per kilogram, the wax inside a candle is ₹46.68 at 100 g, ₹70.02 at 150 g, ₹93.36 at 200 g, ₹116.70 at 250 g and ₹140.04 at 300 g. The rule underneath is simple: at 8%, wax is 92% of the fill, so multiply the per-kilogram price by 0.092 for every 100 g of candle.
The gap between waxes grows with the jar
At 100 g, Eco Soy CSI 400 puts ₹36.71 of wax in the candle and Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 (flakes) puts ₹58.60. At 300 g the same two are ₹110.12 and ₹175.81. The ratio between them does not change; the rupee gap roughly triples, because the jar holds three times the wax. So a premium-wax upgrade costs fewest rupees in a tin and most in a large jar. Check it against the selling price of each size, not against a range average.
Sampler tins: where the wax matters least
