₹21,609.40
spent at CSI out of ₹25,000.00 · 90 candles in the first month · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What does ₹25,000.00 buy? ₹21,609.40 of CSI stock — ₹5,581.40 of wax, ₹3,663.00 of fragrance, ₹6,313.00 of vessels, ₹767.00 of wicks, ₹5,285.00 of tools — plus ₹3,390.60 held back for costs CSI does not sell.

How many candles is that? 90 a month: 45 × 150 g and 45 × 70 g, from 100 vessels with a 10% spare allowance (an assumption, not measured data).

What does each candle cost? ₹221.51 in materials for the 150 g jar and ₹93.40 for the 70 g votive, at an 8% fragrance load. Labels, boxes, courier and labour are your own figures.

What is deliberately left out? Printed labels, cartons, mailers, courier, electricity, labour, marketing and platform fees. CSI does not sell them, so they are blank rows — see the rows only you can fill.
The short answer
The basket: 11 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, 1,100 g of fragrance across three scents, 100 vessels in two sizes, 100 Eco Candle Wicks and a ten-item tool set — ₹21,609.40 at live September 2026 prices.
The output: 90 candles a month at ₹221.51 and ₹93.40 of materials each, with 1,100 g of wax and 308 g of oil carried into month two.
The honest part: ₹3,390.60 stays unspent at CSI, because labels, boxes, courier, electricity, your hours and platform fees are real costs that no supplier can quote for you.

The ₹25,000.00 split six ways. Five blocks are priced from live CSI stock in September 2026; the dashed block is the money held back for labels, packaging, courier, electricity, labour and fees — costs CSI does not sell and this page will not invent. Shares are of the full budget, not of the CSI basket.
Straight answer
What can you actually start a candle business with for ₹25,000.00 in India?
A three-scent, two-size soy candle line that pours 90 candles a month, with tools you buy once and stock you reorder. At live September 2026 prices the CSI side is ₹21,609.40: ₹5,581.40 for 11 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, ₹3,663.00 for 1,100 g of fragrance across British Rose, Roasted Coffee and Citrus Lemon, ₹6,313.00 for 50 150 g glass jars and 50 70 g votives, ₹767.00 for 100 pre-tabbed Eco Candle Wicks, and ₹5,285.00 for a ten-item tool set built around the 1 litre Mini Electric Wax Melter and a Pen Thermometer. That leaves ₹3,390.60 — 13.6% of the budget — deliberately unspent, because printed labels, outer boxes, courier, electricity, your own hours and any platform fee are not things CSI sells, and a number invented for them would be worse than a blank. Materials work out at ₹221.51 for a 150 g jar candle and ₹93.40 for a 70 g votive at an 8% fragrance load, which is a step inside the 10% maximum CSI 464's page states for that wax. Spend the tool money once, reorder materials monthly, and buy depth in whichever scent sells before you buy a fourth one.
One line: ₹25,000.00 buys ₹21,609.40 of CSI stock — 11 kg of wax, three scents, 100 vessels, 100 wicks and a ten-item tool set for 90 candles a month — and leaves ₹3,390.60 for the costs no supplier can quote.
The whole basket in one line. 11 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, three fragrance oils, 100 vessels in two sizes, 100 Eco Candle Wicks and a ten-piece tool set come to ₹21,609.40 at CSI live prices — 86.4% of ₹25,000.00, leaving ₹3,390.60 for the costs CSI does not sell you.

What ₹25,000.00 actually buys at CSI live prices

A budget is not a plan until every rupee has a pack size attached to it.

At September 2026 prices, ₹25,000.00 buys a working two-size candle line with three scents and the tools to make it repeatable — and it does so with ₹3,390.60 to spare, which you are going to need. The CSI side of the basket comes to ₹21,609.40: ₹5,581.40 of wax, ₹3,663.00 of fragrance oil, ₹6,313.00 of vessels, ₹767.00 of wicks and ₹5,285.00 of tools and finishing supplies. Every one of those figures is a pack price on the store, multiplied by a whole number of packs. Nothing is rounded, estimated or negotiated.

That basket pours 90 finished candles a month — 45 at a 150 g fill and 45 at a 70 g fill — with a 10% spare allowance on vessels and wicks and roughly a fifth of the wax and a quarter of the fragrance still on the shelf at the end of it. The spare allowance is an assumption this page makes, not measured data: it is there because jars arrive chipped, first pours get scrapped and a wick sometimes goes in crooked.

Priced above: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 10 kg ₹5,074.00 and 1 kg ₹507.40; British Rose Fragrance Oil 500 gm ₹1,593.00; Roasted Coffee Fragrance Oil 100 gm ₹390.00 × 3; Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil 100 gm ₹300.00 × 3; Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid 150 gram Pack of 10 ₹944.00 × 5; Clear Glass Votive Jar 70 gram Pack of 10 ₹318.60 × 5; Eco Candle Wicks Thick (C2) 50-pack ₹472.00 and Thin (C1) 50-pack ₹295.00. Tools are itemised below.

Two honest notes before the detail. First, the basket deliberately does not spend the whole ₹25,000.00 at one supplier — the last ₹3,390.60 is reserved for things CSI does not sell and therefore cannot price for you. Second, the tools are a one-time buy. Strip them out and the monthly materials bill is ₹16,324.40, which is the number that actually repeats. A ₹25,000.00 start is really a ₹5,285.00 equipment purchase plus your first month of stock.

The basket, line by line

Pack sizes, not grams. You cannot buy 792 g of fragrance oil; you buy the packs that cover it.

Every line below is a live variant on the CSI store with a quantity against it. Multiply, add, and you get ₹21,609.40. Where a bigger pack would have been cheaper per gram but left stock sitting, the smaller pack is chosen and the reason is given — at this budget, idle stock is the enemy, not the per-gram rate.

Materials — ₹16,324.40

Materials
What to buy, in what pack, and what it costs

Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 10 kg 1 ₹507.40/kg ₹5,074.00

Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 50 Wicks 1 ₹5.90 each ₹295.00
Materials subtotal ₹16,324.40
Priced above: all nine lines are live CSI variants at September 2026 prices. 11 kg of wax, 1,100 g of oil, 100 vessels and 100 pre-tabbed wicks. The wax figure assumes CSI 464 throughout; the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks grade at ₹599.00/kg or Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 at ₹650.00/kg would raise the wax line, and Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399.00/kg would lower it.

Tools and finishing — ₹5,285.00

This is the part that only gets bought once, and the part beginners get wrong in both directions: some buy nothing and fight the wax, some buy a wax melter the size of a pressure cooker before they have sold a candle. Ten items is enough to run a clean 90-candle month.

Tool set
Ten items, what each one is actually for, and what happens without it
Item Price What it does If you skip it
Mini Electric Wax Melter 1 litre ₹2,360.00 Melts and holds the wax at temperature while you wick and label A double boiler works; it drops temperature fast and ties up a burner
Pen Thermometer ₹354.00 Reads the add and pour temperature You are guessing at the single number that most affects throw
Candle Making Weighing Scale ₹354.00 Weighs wax and oil to 1 g Any 0.1 g kitchen scale does the same job — stock on this one moves, so check before you plan around it
Steel Pouring Pitcher 600 ML ₹708.00 Controlled pour into a 70 mm mouth Spilled wax on the jar wall and on the table
Bamboo Stirring Sticks (5) ₹118.00 Two-minute stir after the oil goes in A spoon works but carries flavour between scents
Wick Centering Device (5) ₹118.00 Holds the wick upright while the wax sets Crooked wicks, one-sided burns
Candle Wick Stickers (40) × 3 ₹300.00 Glues the wick tab to the base, ₹2.50 a candle Floating tabs and a wick that drifts mid-pour
Isopropyl Alcohol Spray 150 ML ₹383.00 Cleans jars before pouring and fingerprints after Dust and oil under the wax, visible through clear glass
Candle Care Stickers Roll (500) ₹413.00 Burn-safety sticker on every base, ₹0.83 a candle You are shipping a flame with no instructions
Candle Wick Cutter ₹177.00 Trims wicks to 5–6 mm before every test burn Long wicks, big flames, soot on your own test data
Tools subtotal ₹5,285.00
Priced above: ten live CSI items. Spread across the first 90 candles the tool set adds ₹58.72 a candle; spread across a year at the same output it is ₹4.89 a candle. Quote whichever is honest for the question you are answering — the first number is what month one costs you, the second is what the tools are worth.
BUY THE THERMOMETER BEFORE THE MELTER
If ₹25,000.00 is really ₹15,000.00 and you are hoping to stretch it, drop the melter first, not the thermometer. A steel vessel over a pan of water melts soy perfectly well; nothing substitutes for knowing that the oil went in at 80–90°C, which is the window the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page gives for adding fragrance. The melter buys you time and a steadier temperature. The thermometer buys you a repeatable candle.

The rows CSI cannot price — and why ₹3,390.60 stays unspent

A supplier can price what it sells. Anything else in your costing is either your own quote or a guess with a rupee sign on it.

CSI sells raw materials, vessels and tools. It does not sell outer cartons, mailers, bubble wrap, printed labels, ribbon, shrink film, courier services, electricity, your hours, a website plan or an advertising budget. So this page will not put a number against any of them — not even a "typical" one, because a typical figure for a Mumbai maker shipping in 500 g boxes is nothing like a typical figure for someone handing candles over at a Jaipur exhibition stall.

Fill the table below with your own quotes before you place the CSI order, not after. It is the difference between a ₹25,000.00 start and a ₹25,000.00 start that runs out of money in week three with 90 unlabelled candles on the table.

Your own costs
Not sold by CSI, not priced here — write your own quote into each row
Line Ask whom Unit Your figure
Printed labels (front and base) Local printer or online print service per candle —
Outer carton or mailer box Packaging dealer per candle —
Bubble wrap or moulded insert Packaging dealer per candle —
Ribbon, tissue, thank-you card Stationery supplier per candle —

Electricity for melting Your own electricity reading per batch —
Your hours Your own rate per batch —
Marketplace or gateway fees Your platform % of order —
Advertising or sampling Your own plan per month —
Your own total up to ₹3,390.60

Total the page the honest way: materials and tools from CSI ₹21,609.40 + your own costs, which only you can fill in. If your own quotes come to more than ₹3,390.60, the fix is to shrink the basket, not to pretend the rows are free. Dropping one of the five jar packs releases ₹944.00; dropping the melter releases ₹2,360.00; moving the 150 g line to Golden Aluminium Tin Containers at ₹360.00 for 12 changes both the vessel cost and the courier weight.

Spending the entire budget at the supplier because the supplier is the only place with published prices. It is the most common way a ₹25,000.00 start dies. Raw materials are the easiest line to quote and the easiest to over-buy, so the basket swells to fill the budget and the labels, mailers and courier bills arrive against nothing. Decide the holdback first — ₹3,390.60 here, 13.6% of the budget — and treat it as spent the moment you plan it.
Costing a candle at wax plus oil and calling it done. In the 150 g candle above, wax and oil together are ₹76.11 + ₹38.23 = a little over half the ₹221.51 materials cost; the jar alone is ₹94.40. Leave out the wick, the two stickers and the vessel and you will under-price by roughly the value of the vessel, every single candle, all year. The pricing calculator guide walks the same arithmetic from the selling-price end.

Why three scents and two sizes, and not six and four

Range feels like ambition. At this budget it is mostly stock you have paid for and cannot sell.

Three scents is the smallest number that lets a customer choose, and two sizes is the smallest number that gives you a gifting price and a serious price. Every extra scent beyond three costs you a fragrance pack, a test batch, a photograph and shelf space; every extra size costs you a vessel pack, a wick size and a new fill weight to learn. At 90 candles a month, six scents means fifteen candles of each — too few to learn anything from and too many to have made.

Scent plan
Three oils, three families, and what each covers in the first month
Oil Pack bought Rate Grams bought Wax it covers at 8% Role
British Rose 500 gm ₹1,593.00 ₹3.19/g 500 g 6.25 kg The workhorse floral — the one you are confident enough to buy deep
Roasted Coffee 3 × 100 gm ₹1,170.00 ₹3.90/g 300 g 3.75 kg Gourmand contrast, bought shallow while it proves itself
Citrus Lemon 3 × 100 gm ₹900.00 ₹3.00/g 300 g 3.75 kg Fresh and clean — the summer and kitchen-gift seller
Priced above: ₹1,593.00 for 500 gm of British Rose (₹3.19/g), ₹390.00 × 3 for Roasted Coffee (₹3.90/g) and ₹300.00 × 3 for Citrus Lemon (₹3.00/g). Total 1,100 g for ₹3,663.00, against 792 g actually consumed by 90 candles at 8% of wax weight.

The pack-size choice is the interesting part. British Rose is ₹3.19/g in the 500 gm pack and ₹3.07/g in the 1 kg pack — a real saving per gram, but 1 kg is more oil than this basket will use in two months. Roasted Coffee and Citrus Lemon are bought in 100 gm packs at ₹3.90/g and ₹3.00/g even though 500 gm packs exist at ₹1,890.00 and ₹1,420.00, because a scent you have not sold yet should not be sitting in a 500 g bottle. The rule at this budget: buy deep only where you have already sold.

Loads: everything here is costed at 8% of wax weight — 12 g of oil in a 150 g candle, 5.6 g in a 70 g candle. CSI 464's product page states a maximum of 10% of total wax weight, and CSI oil pages commonly state a candle range such as 6–10%. Where a wax ceiling and an oil page's range differ, the lower figure governs, so on this wax you have 10% to work with and 8% is a deliberate step inside it. Pushing all three scents to 10% would add ₹619.11 to the month and is not a substitute for testing the wick (fragrance load without exceeding the ceiling).

Two sizes, two wicks. The 150 g jar takes the Thick (C2) wick at ₹9.44; the 70 g votive takes the Thin (C1) at ₹5.90. CSI does not publish a wick size for each jar diameter, so treat those as starting points and burn-test both before you pour 45 of anything — the wick guide by diameter gives the method. A Performance Wooden Wick at ₹59.00 each from the pack of 10 is a third option for a premium line, and at more than six times the C2 price it is a decision, not a default.

Launching six scents because the oils are the cheapest line in the basket. At 100 gm packs, three more scents costs about ₹1,170.00 — which looks like nothing next to ₹6,313.00 of vessels. The cost is not the oil. It is six test candles per scent, six sets of photographs, six labels to design and print, and a stock position where every scent is one jar deep. Add the fourth scent when one of the first three sells out, and let the customers pick it.
The CSI principle
Buy the range you can test, not the range you can imagine.
Three scents at ₹3,663.00 that you have burn-tested beat six at ₹7,326.00 that you have not. The second set costs more and tells you less.

The month this basket produces: 90 candles

Output is set by whichever component runs out first. In this basket it is the vessels, and that is deliberate.

100 vessels come in; 90 candles go out. The 10% gap is the spare allowance — an assumption, not a measurement — covering a chipped jar, a failed pour and the two or three candles you will cut open to look at the wick. Wax and oil are bought slightly long so that a re-pour does not stop the month: 1,100 g of wax and 308 g of oil are still on the shelf after 90 candles.

1
Week 1 — set up and test, about 8 candles Unpack, weigh the wax against the pack label, and pour two test candles of each size in each scent. Add fragrance at 80–90°C, stir slowly for two full minutes as the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page instructs, and label the base of every jar with pour date, scent, load and wick. Nothing from this week is for sale.
2
Week 2 — burn-test, then commit Trim to 5–6 mm with the wick cutter and burn each test candle for three hours in a closed room. You are checking that the melt pool reaches the wall and that the flame is steady — not the scent, which is still developing. If the C2 wick tunnels in the 150 g jar, change the wick now, while it costs ₹9.44 instead of 45 × ₹9.44. (Tunnelling causes and fixes.)
3
Week 3 — the production pour, about 90 candles Two or three sessions of roughly 30 candles. The 1 litre melter holds about 1 kg of flakes at a time, so a 30-candle run of 150 g jars is four or five melts. Pour one scent per melt, clean the pitcher with the isopropyl spray between scents, and keep the batch code on every base.
4
Week 4 — cure, finish, dispatch Soy keeps developing scent after it sets. The Chunks page asks for a minimum 48 hours and ideally 1–2 weeks before burn testing, and 14–21 days is standard practice for soy container candles (why a 14-day cure). Lid on, care sticker on the base, label on the front, then photograph and dispatch. Your own packaging costs land here.

Notice what the pack size does to the fragrance line. The same 12 g of British Rose costs ₹38.23 bought as a 500 gm pack, ₹36.82 bought as a 1 kg pack and ₹50.98 bought as a 50 gm pack — a spread of ₹14.16 per candle between the smallest and largest pack, or ₹1,274.40 across a 90-candle month. That is the whole argument for buying oil in the biggest pack you will genuinely use, and the whole reason not to buy one bigger than that.

The budget does not decide how many candles you make. The smallest pack in the basket does.

Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November 2026. A 14–21 day cure plus dispatch means festive stock should be poured by about mid-October, so a ₹25,000.00 basket ordered in September gives you a test fortnight and still leaves a full production week. What 90 candles can carry — an illustrative check

These selling prices are illustrative. Yours depend on your city, your photographs and who you are selling to.

To see whether the basket is the right shape, price the two sizes illustratively and subtract materials. Take ₹550.00 for the 150 g jar and ₹250.00 for the 70 g votive — both illustrative figures used here for arithmetic only, not CSI recommendations and not market data. Against materials of ₹221.51 and ₹93.40, that leaves ₹328.49 and ₹156.60 per candle, or 60% and 63% of the selling price.

Labels, boxes, courier, fees, your hours your figure your figure your figure

Read that last row before you celebrate the one above it. ₹21,828.96 is what is left after materials, not profit. Labels, mailers, courier, platform fees, electricity and your own hours all come out of it, and every one of those is a row only you can fill. It also assumes all 90 candles sell, which in month one they almost certainly will not — a first month that sells 30 and gifts 10 is a normal first month. Two live guides take the pricing question further: the 2026 pricing formula and whether candle making is actually profitable in India.

The useful comparison is not profit but payback shape. Tools are ₹5,285.00 of the ₹21,609.40 spent at CSI; materials are ₹16,324.40. If the second month sells at the same rate, you reorder materials only — and the reorder is smaller than the first basket, because the wax, oil and tool lines are partly carried over. That is the real reason the first month feels expensive and the third does not.

Where ₹25,000.00 should not go

At this level the expensive mistakes are not wasteful purchases. They are sensible purchases made two steps too early.

A big melter. The imported Electric Wax Melter at ₹21,240.00 for the 10 kg model is a genuinely good machine and it is 85% of this entire budget. At 90 candles a month the 1 litre Mini Electric Wax Melter at ₹2,360.00 is not the bottleneck; your curing shelf is. Buy the big one when you are pouring more wax per session than you can melt in a working evening.

Bulk wax before a wick decision. 10 kg of CSI 464 is ₹5,074.00 and the per-kg rate is the same at 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg — ₹507.40/kg at every size. There is no per-kg discount to chase, so there is no reason to buy 20 kg before you know which wick your jar wants. Buy one 500 g pack at ₹260.00 of a second grade if you want to compare, and keep the rest of the money in wicks and test burns.

Finishing luxuries. Candle Liquid Shiner, gold mica, a wooden-wick line and a second vessel colour are all real products that make a candle look better — and all of them are decisions to make after the first 90 candles have told you what sells. A Candle Dye Liquid at ₹472.00 for 50 gm is the one exception worth arguing about, because colour is the cheapest visual difference you can buy; it is left out here to keep the basket honest at 90 candles, not because it is a bad purchase.

A kit you will outgrow in a fortnight. The Scented Jar Candle Making Kit for Beginners at ₹555.78 is a fine way to make your first four candles and a poor way to spend part of a ₹25,000.00 production budget, because the pack quantities inside it are sized for learning, not for selling. The kit versus separate supplies comparison sets out when each makes sense.

And one thing that is not a luxury. Test candles. Eight of them in week one, poured and burned before the production run, cost about ₹1,745.46 in materials. A production run of 45 jars with the wrong wick costs ₹9,818.19 and a fortnight. (How to test hot throw before launching a fragrance.)

Reordering, and the first upgrade to buy from revenue

The second order is where a hobby budget becomes a business rhythm.

Reorder on a trigger, not on a feeling. Fragrance oil is the line with the longest lead time in most Indian candle businesses, because a scent that sells out takes a test batch and a cure before the replacement stock is sellable. Vessels are the line that stops production dead. Wax is the most forgiving: it stores well in a cool, dry place and CSI 464's page gives a 60-month shelf life stored away from sunlight and moisture.

Reorder triggers
What to watch, when to order, and what it costs to top up
Line Reorder when Top-up pack Cost
Fragrance oil Below about 150 g of a selling scent 500 gm of the proven scent ₹1,593.00
Vessels — 150 g Below 20 jars Pack of 10 × 2 ₹1,888.00
Vessels — 70 g Below 20 votives Pack of 10 × 2 ₹637.20
Wicks Below 25 of either size 50-pack of the size you are short of ₹295.00 or ₹472.00
Wax Below 2 kg 5 kg ₹2,537.00
Care and wick stickers Below 50 candles' worth 500 roll / 40 sheet ₹413.00 / ₹100.00
Priced above: live CSI packs. A full top-up of all six lines is ₹7,935.20 — well under the first basket, because the tools are already bought.

The first upgrade to buy from revenue is not equipment. It is depth in the scent that sold: moving your bestseller from a 500 gm pack at ₹3.19/g to a 1 kg pack at ₹3.07/g takes ₹3,068.00 and lowers the fragrance cost of every candle in that scent. The second upgrade is a second vessel size or a second wick type, and only the third is a bigger melter. Equipment that saves an hour is worth buying once your hours are the constraint — and at 90 candles a month, they are not yet.

If you are running this from a flat, the home-business guide covers the space and storage side, and buying everything from one supplier covers what consolidating an order does and does not save. For what a bigger monthly volume needs from the same catalogue, the honest answer is more of the same packs — the per-unit rates on wax and Eco wicks do not fall with pack size, which is worth knowing before you plan a scale-up around a discount that is not there.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials — wax, fragrance oils, wicks, vessels and tools — not finished candles, and not the packaging, printing, courier or marketing that a candle business also needs. That shapes this page in a way that costs us sales: the basket stops at ₹21,609.40 and the remaining ₹3,390.60 of the budget is left as blank rows, because a supplier that invents a label cost or a courier rate for you is not being helpful. We would rather you spent less with us and had a working costing than spent the full ₹25,000.00 here and ran out of money before the first parcel went out.

Every price on this page is a live CSI variant price in September 2026, multiplied by whole packs and totalled in Python, not estimated. Per-gram and per-unit rates are derived from those same pack prices. Product pages are authoritative and prices change. The 10% figure for CSI 464 and the 80–90°C fragrance-addition window are stated on CSI product pages; the 10% spare allowance, the 8% working load, the 90-candle month and the ₹550.00 and ₹250.00 selling prices are assumptions and illustrations made by this page and labelled as such. Where a figure is not published — a wick size for a given jar diameter, a bulk rate, a delivery time — this page says so rather than filling the gap.

Frequently asked questions

Is ₹25,000.00 enough to start a candle business in India?
Yes, for a two-size, three-scent line producing about 90 candles a month. The CSI side of that basket is ₹21,609.40 at September 2026 prices — ₹16,324.40 of materials and ₹5,285.00 of tools — and it deliberately leaves ₹3,390.60 for labels, boxes, courier and your own hours, which CSI does not sell and this page will not guess at.
How many candles can I make with ₹25,000.00?
With this basket, 90 in month one — 45 at a 150 g fill and 45 at 70 g — from 100 vessels with a 10% spare allowance. Wax and fragrance are bought slightly long, so 1,100 g of wax and 308 g of oil carry into month two. Output is capped by the vessel count, not the wax.
What does one candle actually cost to make?
At an 8% fragrance load and live pack rates, the 150 g jar candle is ₹221.51 in materials (₹76.11 wax, ₹38.23 oil, ₹9.44 wick, ₹94.40 jar and ₹3.33 of stickers) and the 70 g votive is ₹93.40. Labels, packaging, courier and labour are additional and are your own figures.
Should I buy fragrance oil in 1 kg packs to save money?
Only for a scent you have already sold. British Rose is ₹4.25/g in the 50 gm pack, ₹3.19/g at 500 gm and ₹3.07/g at 1 kg — a real saving, worth ₹14.16 on every 150 g candle between the smallest and largest pack. But 1 kg is more oil than a 90-candle month uses at 8%, so at this budget buy 1 kg of the proven scent and 100 gm packs of the ones on trial.
Do I need the wax melter, or can I start with a double boiler?
A double boiler works. The 1 litre Mini Electric Wax Melter at ₹2,360.00 is 9% of the budget and buys steadier temperature and a free hob, not better candles. If the budget is tight, keep the Pen Thermometer at ₹354.00 and drop the melter — knowing the oil went in at 80–90°C matters more than how the wax got there.
What is not included in this budget?
Everything CSI does not sell: printed labels, outer cartons, mailers, bubble wrap, ribbon, courier charges, electricity, rent, your labour, marketing spend and any marketplace or payment-gateway fee. Those are left as blank rows on purpose. Bulk pricing, GST invoicing and MSDS or IFRA documentation are available on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Pack prices, per-gram rates and pack-size effects apply to any supplier: the arithmetic here — cost per candle, spare allowance, reorder trigger, the difference between a one-time tool spend and a repeating materials bill — works with whatever catalogue you buy from, and the blank rows stay blank whoever supplies you.
