I Am Manufacturing 100 ml, 120 ml and 200 ml Reed Diffusers — How Do I Calculate Separate Raw-Material Requirements After Improving Summer Performance?

Three sizes, four materials, four different pack granularities. The base and the oil divide identically between your sizes because both are proportional to fill. The glass and the reeds do not — and one of your three sizes has no listed vessel at all, which makes it a qualification rather than a line on a purchase order.
97.5 L
base for a 1,000-unit mix of 300 × 100 ml, 500 × 120 ml and 200 × 200 ml at the published 25% ratio — exactly 195 of the 500 ml packs, claimed 45 / 90 / 60 by the three sizes, alongside 32.5 kg of oil and 8,400 reeds · CSI live pricing, October 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What does each size need per bottle? At the published 25% ratio, base is 75% of the fill and oil is 25%. So 100 ml = 75 ml + 25 g, 120 ml = 90 ml + 30 g, 200 ml = 150 ml + 50 g. Those are the only three numbers you need for the two liquid lines.

And the vessels? This is where it stops being arithmetic. CSI lists exactly two reed bottles — 50 ML and 120 ML, both packs of ten. There is no 100 ml and no 200 ml bottle. A 100 ml build is a part-fill of the 120 ML glass; a 200 ml build needs glass from somewhere else, so it is a vessel qualification and not a purchase line.

What does the whole mix cost? On Pure Performance at ₹2.198/ml and Verbena at its 32.5 kg route, a 1,000-unit mix is ₹519,983 across the four listed lines — ₹519.98 a unit, with the 200 ml glass excluded because it is not listed. Per bottle: ₹453.14, ₹509.73 and ₹645.88.

Where does it bind? On glass. The 100 ml and 120 ml lines together need 800 of the 120 ML bottles and live stock is 240 — 30.0% of the requirement. That is a stock ceiling, not a listed-pack ceiling, and it is the line to ask us about first.

Does improving summer performance change the sums? Yes, and not in one direction. Moving the load inside the published 10-30% window moves base and oil in opposite directions: 20% needs 104 L of base and 26 kg of oil, 30% needs 91 L and 39 kg. Changing the reed count moves nothing but the reeds — and moves them hard.
The short answer
Compute per bottle, then per size, then per pack — in that order. Three sizes give you three per-bottle recipes and four shared packs. Skipping the middle step is how a mixed order ends up with the right litres of base and the wrong number of packs.
Base and oil split identically; glass and reeds do not. At a fixed load both liquids are proportional to fill, so the three sizes claim the same percentage shares of the base packs and the oil packs. Glass is one vessel per bottle whatever the size, and reeds follow the count you chose, not the volume.
Two of your three sizes are not listed sizes. 100 ml is a part-fill of the listed 120 ML bottle, which has the side benefit of putting the product back inside the published 6–8 reeds for a 50–100 ml bottle band. 200 ml has no listed vessel, so price it as glass you source and qualify.
A slower-evaporating base is not automatically the right answer at the big size. Longevity adds ₹29.55, ₹35.46 and ₹59.10 a bottle at your three sizes — ₹38,415 across the mix. If it restricts wicking or release the bottle lasts longer and smells of less, so judge it on grams lost per day and throw, separately at each size.
1,000 units · 300 at 100 ml, 500 at 120 ml, 200 at 200 ml · who claims each shared pack 100 ml 120 ml 200 ml BASE 195 packs 45 90 packs 60 OIL 32.5 kg 7.5 15 kg 10 Identical shares — both liquids are proportional to fill at a fixed load VESSELS 1,000 300 500 · both from the 120 ML pack 200 NOT LISTED REEDS 8,400 2,400 4,000 at 8 a bottle 2,000 at 10 The 200 ml line takes 30.8% of the base, 20% of the vessels and 23.8% of the reeds. No two bars split the same way.
Each bar is one shared pool of material and each band is one size's claim on it. Base = 0.75 × fill and oil = 0.25 × fill at the published 25% ratio, so those two bars split identically — 23.08% / 46.15% / 30.77%. Vessels are one per bottle regardless of size, so that bar follows the unit mix. Reeds follow the count you chose, which is eight at 100 ml and 120 ml and ten at 200 ml, so the 200 ml line takes a larger share of the reeds than of the bottles. The dashed band is the 200 ml vessel, which CSI does not list.
Straight answer
How do I calculate separate raw-material requirements for 100 ml, 120 ml and 200 ml reed diffusers?
Three per-bottle recipes, then four pack resolutions. At the published 25% ratio each bottle is 75% base and 25% oil by its fill, so 100 ml = 75 ml + 25 g, 120 ml = 90 ml + 30 g, 200 ml = 150 ml + 50 g. For a 1,000-unit mix of 300 / 500 / 200 that is 97,500 ml of base — exactly 195 of the ₹1,099 500 ml packs, ₹214,305 — and 32,500 g of oil, which on Verbena routes as 32 kilo packs plus one 500 gm pack for ₹153,518, or ₹4.7236 a gram. Reeds at eight for the two smaller sizes and ten at 200 ml come to 8,400 reeds, ₹67,200 at the ₹8.00 flat rate. Then the part that is not arithmetic: CSI lists two reed bottles, 50 ML and 120 ML, both packs of ten. Your 100 ml build is a part-fill of the 120 ML glass — which has a real advantage, because it puts the product back inside the published 6–8 reeds for a 50–100 ml bottle band that a full 120 ml build sits outside. Your 200 ml build has no listed vessel, so it is 200 pieces of glass you source and qualify, not a line you can price here. Across the four listed lines the mix is ₹519,983, or ₹519.98 a unit, and the binding constraint is glass: 800 of the 120 ML bottles are needed against 24 packs — 240 bottles — live, which is 30.0%. Message us before you commit the design.
One line: compute per bottle, sum per size, then resolve into packs — and treat the 200 ml vessel as a qualification, because the store that sells you the liquid does not sell you that glass.
Three sizes need three weighed baselines, not one. Your three sizes against what CSI lists

Two of your three sizes do not exist as a bottle. Decide what that means before you compute anything.

The liquid arithmetic is easy and the vessel arithmetic is the whole job. CSI's reed bottle listing has exactly two variants, 50 ML Pack of 10 at ₹826 and 120 ML Pack of 10 at ₹1,062. That is the complete published range. So before a single litre is costed, each of your three sizes has to be classified: listed, part-fill, or sourced elsewhere.

Three fill sizes · what is listed, what is derived, what is yours
The vessel decision, size by size
Your size Listed vessel? Base + oil at 25% Published reed band What you actually do
100 ml No 100 ml bottle is listed 75 ml + 25 g Inside the stated 6–8 for a 50–100 ml bottle Part-fill the 120 ML glass to 100 ml. Hardware rises to ₹1.542/ml from ₹1.418, and the reed count is covered by a published band
120 ml Yes — 120 ML Pack of 10, ₹1,062 90 ml + 30 g Outside it — the band stops at 100 ml Run eight to ten reeds as your own tested choice and say in your notes that no published band covers 120 ml
200 ml No — nothing above 120 ML is listed 150 ml + 50 g Falls in the 10+ band for larger rooms Source and qualify the glass yourself: measure the neck, check reed fit and depth, run a leak and transport check before the first order
50 ml, for reference Yes — 50 ML Pack of 10, ₹826 37.5 ml + 12.5 g Inside the band at 6 reeds The cheapest trial size — but ₹2.612/ml in hardware against ₹1.418 at 120 ml
The page's own copy Body text reads "Size: 50 and 100ml" — — Page copy against its own 50/120 variants. Named, not resolved — ask us which fill you should be planning
Worked out above: at the published 25% ratio base is 0.75 × fill and oil is 0.25 × fill, so 100 → 75 + 25, 120 → 90 + 30, 200 → 150 + 50, 50 → 37.5 + 12.5. Hardware per millilitre = (bottle + reeds) ÷ net fill: a 100 ml part-fill of the 120 ML bottle with six reeds is (106.20 + 48.00) ÷ 100 = ₹1.542; a full 120 ml with eight reeds is (106.20 + 64.00) ÷ 120 = ₹1.41833; a 50 ml with six reeds is (82.60 + 48.00) ÷ 50 = ₹2.612, a 1.84× penalty against the 120 ml figure. No neck diameter is published for either listed bottle, so reed fit in any vessel is your own measurement. CSI live pricing and per-variant stock, October 2026: 50 ML Pack of 10 at 16 packs, 120 ML Pack of 10 at 24 packs.
The mistake: treating 200 ml as a bigger version of the same product. It is a different product with a different reed count, a different vessel supplier and a different failure mode. The published reed bands put a 200 ml bottle in the 10+ range, and CSI's own reed page warns that "the base will evaporate faster at higher reed counts" — so scaling the fill up by 1.67× while scaling the reed count up by 1.25× changes the ratio of liquid to exposed reed surface, which is the thing your summer complaint was about in the first place. Plan 200 ml as a separate qualification with its own weighed baseline, its own retained reference and its own claim. If you want the 2,000-unit version of this problem, it is worked through in the 200 ml corporate gifting post.

One bottle of each size, to the rupee

Price one bottle of each size before you price the order, because the per-millilitre column is where the surprises live. The 100 ml part-fill is dearer per millilitre than the full 120 ml bottle — the glass costs the same and you put less in it — and the 200 ml row is incomplete by definition because its vessel is not listed.

200 ml, 12 reeds 150 ml = ₹329.70 50 g = ₹236.18 Not listed ₹96.00 ₹661.88 + glass · ₹3.3094
Worked out above: base at ₹1,099 ÷ 500 ml = ₹2.198/ml, so 75 × 2.198 = ₹164.85, 90 × 2.198 = ₹197.82 and 150 × 2.198 = ₹329.70. Verbena's 32.5 kg route is 32 × ₹4,720 + 1 × ₹2,478 = ₹153,518, which is ₹4.7236 a gram — ₹118 above the flat kilo rate of ₹4.72, because the 500 gm rung at ₹4.956/g is dearer than half a kilo bought at the kilo rate. So 25 g = ₹118.09, 30 g = ₹141.71, 50 g = ₹236.18. Glass ₹1,062 ÷ 10 = ₹106.20. Reeds ₹8.00 each from the Pack of 50 upward, so eight = ₹64.00, ten = ₹80.00, twelve = ₹96.00. Per millilitre is bottle cost ÷ net fill. The 200 ml rows exclude the vessel, so their per-millilitre figures are floors, not totals.

Three things to carry forward. First, the 100 ml part-fill costs 6.68% more per millilitre than the full 120 ml — ₹4.5314 against ₹4.2478 — which is the price of sitting inside a published reed band. Whether that is worth paying is a commercial judgement, and it depends on whether you would rather defend a reed count with a published band behind it or a lower cost per millilitre. Second, the reed line is small per bottle and large per order: going from eight to twelve reeds at 200 ml adds ₹16.00 a bottle, which is ₹3,200 on 200 units. Third, the 200 ml rows are floors. Until you have a vessel price they are not comparable with the other two, and quoting a 200 ml cost per unit without the glass is the commonest costing error in a multi-size range.

The four shared packs, and who claims what

You do not buy for a size. You buy a pack, and three sizes reach into it.

Here is the 1,000-unit mix resolved line by line, with each size's claim stated in the pack's own units. Note how cleanly it lands: 97,500 ml divides into exactly 195 packs, 32.5 kg into exactly 32 kilos plus a half, 800 bottles into exactly 80 packs, 8,400 reeds into exactly 16 Pack-of-500s plus four Pack-of-100s. That tidiness is a property of this particular mix, not of the method — the next section shows what happens when it is not tidy.

Listed lines, total ₹135,942 ₹254,865 ₹129,176 + glass ₹519,983 = ₹519.98 a unit
Worked out above. Base: 300 × 75 + 500 × 90 + 200 × 150 = 22,500 + 45,000 + 30,000 = 97,500 ml; ÷ 500 = 195 packs; × ₹1,099 = ₹214,305, which equals 97,500 × ₹2.198 to the rupee because the mix divides exactly. Oil: 7,500 + 15,000 + 10,000 = 32,500 g; routed as 32 × 1 kg (₹151,040) + 1 × 500 gm (₹2,478) = ₹153,518. Glass: 300 + 500 = 800 of the 120 ML bottles = 80 packs × ₹1,062 = ₹84,960; live stock 24 packs = 240 bottles, so 240 ÷ 800 = 30.0% and you are 56 packs short at today's quantities. Reeds: 2,400 + 4,000 + 2,000 = 8,400 × ₹8.00 = ₹67,200. Line totals reconcile both ways: by size 300 × 453.14 + 500 × 509.73 + 200 × 645.88 = 135,942 + 254,865 + 129,176 = ₹519,983, and by material 214,305 + 153,518 + 84,960 + 67,200 = ₹519,983. Share of the base pool: 45 / 195 = 23.08%, 90 / 195 = 46.15%, 60 / 195 = 30.77% — identical to the oil shares, because both liquids are proportional to fill.
1
Freeze the load and the reed count per size, in writingThree sizes means three reed counts and possibly one shared load. Write them down before you compute: fill, load, reed count, reed colour. The published window on every CSI reed base is "Blend with 10-30% fragrance oil" with a stated 25–30% working ratio and a 24–48 hour rest before bottling. Pick your point and freeze it, because every number downstream moves with it.
2
Build the per-bottle recipe, not the per-order oneBase = (1 − load) × fill in millilitres. Oil = load × fill in grams. That is the whole formula, and it is also the only honest way to express it, because no density is published for any base or oil — you cannot convert millilitres to grams or back. So hit the load by weight: oil = base weight ÷ 4 at 20%, ÷ 3 at 25%, × 3 ÷ 7 at the 30% ceiling.
3
Multiply out by size, then sum into one pool per materialThree sizes, four materials, twelve numbers. Sum them into four pools — litres of base, grams of oil, vessels, reeds — and keep the per-size breakdown beside each pool so you can see who is claiming what. When a line later turns out to be short, that breakdown tells you which size to cut.
4
Resolve each pool into whole packs — and price the exact quantityThe largest listed base pack is 500 ml and the largest listed oil pack is 1 kg, so 5 kg and 25 kg are not listed options and anything larger is a quote. Price the exact quantity across pack combinations rather than reading a per-gram column: on this mix 32.5 kg of Verbena is ₹153,518, which is ₹118 more than the flat kilo rate because the 500 gm rung is dearer per gram than the kilo.
5
Check every pool against live per-variant stock, not against the totalThis is where a tidy plan meets the shelf. Glass is the binding line here — 80 packs needed against 24 live — and the base is not, because Depth alone sits at 982 packs. Check per variant rather than per product: many variants in this range are at single-digit quantities, and a pool that looks funded at the product level can be unfundable at the rung you planned to buy.
6
Re-baseline each size separately before the order goes inIf you have just improved summer performance, you have a new formula and three sizes that have never been weighed on it. Run one weighed bottle per size with a sealed cool-stored reference each, at fixed checkpoints, and record grams lost per day beside an intensity note and the room temperature. Three sizes with different reed-to-liquid ratios will not share one consumption figure, and publishing as if they do is how a claim fails at one size only.

The published window across three sizes

"Improving summer performance" usually means moving the load, the reed count or the base. The load is the one that moves two purchase lines at once, and in opposite directions — more oil means less base in the same bottle. Here is the whole published window costed across the mix.

Worked out above. At 20% base is 0.80 × fill: 300 × 80 + 500 × 96 + 200 × 160 = 104,000 ml = 208 packs × ₹1,099 = ₹228,592; oil is 300 × 20 + 500 × 24 + 200 × 40 = 26,000 g, bought as 26 whole kilos at ₹4,720 = ₹122,720. At 30% base is 0.70 × fill: 21,000 + 42,000 + 28,000 = 91,000 ml = 182 packs = ₹200,018; oil 9,000 + 18,000 + 12,000 = 39,000 g = 39 kilos = ₹184,080. Glass (₹84,960) and reeds (₹67,200) are unchanged by the load. Cost per kilo of blend is linear in the load, so the cheapest point is always an endpoint of the published window and never a middle value: on Verbena at ₹4.72/g against a base at ₹2.198/ml the cheap endpoint is 20%. Longevity at ₹1,296 ÷ 500 = ₹2.592/ml is a ₹0.394/ml premium, so on 104,000 / 97,500 / 91,000 ml that is ₹40,976 / ₹38,415 / ₹35,854 — per bottle, ₹31.52 / ₹29.55 / ₹27.58 at 100 ml, ₹37.82 / ₹35.46 / ₹33.10 at 120 ml and ₹63.04 / ₹59.10 / ₹55.16 at 200 ml.

Now the honesty that has to sit beside those Longevity figures. A slower-evaporating base is not automatically a better base. Longevity's page is the only one in the range claiming "extended cold diffusion" and Depth's the only one claiming to "slow evaporation"; both are the pages' own words and neither is a measurement, so they cannot be ranked numerically against each other or against the ₹1,099 bases. More importantly, if a base restricts wicking or fragrance release then the bottle lasts longer and smells of less — which reads as a win on a day count and as a complaint in a review. So any base change in a three-size range gets judged on two readings, taken from the same bottles, at each size separately: grams lost per day, and a coded intensity note against a sealed cool-stored control from the same batch. Three sizes with three reed counts have three different ratios of liquid to exposed reed surface, so one of them can improve while another gets quieter.

The cheapest performance lever is not on this table
Reed count is. Across a 4 → 12 reed ladder a 120 ml bottle's hardware runs ₹138.20 to ₹202.20, a 46.3% swing, while the finished bottle moves only 14.0% — and on your 200 ml line the eight-versus-twelve choice is ₹3,200 on 200 units. It is also reversible: you can pull reeds out of a bottle, and you cannot un-blend a load. CSI's reed page states plainly that "the base will evaporate faster at higher reed counts", which is the one published sentence in this whole range that names a direction. Test the count before you test the base.

Pack rounding: 60 units against 1,000

The 1,000-unit mix divided perfectly. A 60-unit pilot of the same mix does not, and that gap has a price.

Run the identical proportions at a sixtieth of the scale — 20 at 100 ml, 30 at 120 ml, 10 at 200 ml — and the arithmetic stops landing on pack boundaries. This is the number to show anyone who thinks a small pilot should cost proportionally less.

Per unit, pilot against the 1,000 — — — ₹532.30 against ₹519.98 · +2.37%
Worked out above. Base 20 × 75 + 30 × 90 + 10 × 150 = 1,500 + 2,700 + 1,500 = 5,700 ml; notional 5,700 × ₹2.198 = ₹12,528.60; 12 packs × ₹1,099 = ₹13,188, so 300 ml of overhead. Oil 500 + 900 + 500 = 1,900 g; notional at the kilo rate 1,900 × ₹4.72 = ₹8,968; the cheapest buyable route is two 1 kg packs at ₹9,440, which beats 1 kg + 500 gm + four 100 gm (₹4,720 + ₹2,478 + ₹2,360 = ₹9,558) by ₹118 while supplying 100 g more — buy the quantity that is cheapest, not the quantity you asked for. Glass 20 + 30 = 50 of the 120 ML bottles = 5 packs exactly. Reeds 160 + 240 + 100 = 500 = one Pack of 500 exactly. Actual total ₹13,188 + ₹9,440 + ₹5,310 + ₹4,000 = ₹31,938, notional ₹30,806.60, overhead ₹1,131.40 = 3.67%; per unit ₹31,938 ÷ 60 = ₹532.30 against ₹519.98 at 1,000 units, a 2.37% premium on a run one sixtieth the size.

Two lessons. The visible one is that pack granularity costs a small, knowable premium on a pilot and roughly nothing at scale, which is a reasonable price for not committing half a million rupees to an untested formula. The less obvious one is in the oil row: the cheapest way to buy 1,900 g is to buy 2,000 g. That is not a trick — it is what happens when a ladder has a dearer middle rung, and it is worth checking on every oil, every time, because the per-gram column will not tell you.

The four lines to buy

Every listed variant, its live stock and the published specification where a page states one. These four carry the whole mix; the 200 ml vessel is the one line this store cannot supply.

1
The binding line · and the only listed reed vessel
Gold Reed Diffuser Bottle Pack of 10 (50 ML and 120 ML)
Two variants, both packs of ten: 50 ML ₹826 (₹82.60 a bottle) and 120 ML ₹1,062 (₹106.20 a bottle). Your 100 ml and 120 ml lines both come from the 120 ML variant, which is what makes glass the constraint on this mix: 800 bottles needed against 24 packs — 240 bottles — live, or 30.0%. Treat that as a stock ceiling and not a listed-pack ceiling: the pack is listed and buyable, there is simply a finite quantity on the shelf today, and quantities move. No 100 ml and no 200 ml reed bottle is listed, and no neck diameter is published for either variant, so a 200 ml vessel is a qualification: measure the neck, check that a 20.3 cm reed stands properly at that depth, and run leak and transport checks before the first order. The page's body copy reading "Size: 50 and 100ml" is page copy against its own variants — named here, not resolved.

2
The volume-reward oil · and a ₹118 lesson in rungs
Verbena Fragrance Oil
A fresh-green oil whose ladder falls at every rung — ₹7.08 a gram at 15 gm down to ₹4.72 at the kilo — with no inversion anywhere, which makes it easy to plan a multi-size order on. Its kilo saves ₹236 against two 500 gm packs and ₹1,180 against ten 100 gm packs; state the basis, because the two figures measure different things. The catch worth knowing for this mix: 32.5 kg has to route as 32 kilos plus one 500 gm, and that half-kilo rung costs ₹118 more than half a kilo at the kilo rate, so the delivered rate is ₹4.7236 rather than ₹4.72 a gram. Stock is deep at the top — 100 packs at 1 kg, 99 at 500 gm — which is what a 1,000-unit mix needs. Consider ordering 33 whole kilos instead and holding 500 g: same money within ₹2,242, and no odd rung.

The ₹1.00-a-reed decision · 8,400 times over
Fiber Diffuser Reeds (White) Premium Quality Engineered for fragrance
The same fibre reed in white: ₹10.60 each at the Pack of 25, then ₹9.00 flat from 50 upward — exactly ₹1.00 above black at every pack from 50 up, and ₹1.16 above it at the 25-pack. On this mix that ₹1.00 is ₹8,400, which is 1.62% of the whole order and a real decision rather than a detail. Published and quotable on both colours: 20.3 cm length, "uniform pore structure — no swelling, no clogging, no splitting", "consistent diffusion from day 1 to day 30", 6–8 reeds for a 50–100 ml bottle, bands of 4–5, 6–8 and 10+, flip every 3–5 days, 1–2 hours initial absorption, "does not swell in heat or humidity", and the two sentences that matter most here — "avoid placing in direct sunlight or near heat sources which accelerate evaporation" and "use 10+ for maximum throw in larger rooms". No diameter, pore size or fibre count is published for either colour despite the pages' phrase "consistent diameter", so the only quantitative comparison available between black and white is soak-and-weigh: grams gained ÷ reed count.

The premium base · judged on two readings, not one
Longevity Base — Professional Grade Reed & Car Diffuser Base (500 ml)
The only base in the range whose page claims extended diffusion — "extended cold diffusion" and scent "without fading too fast", both the page's own words and neither a measurement. At ₹1,296 for 500 ml = ₹2.592 a millilitre it is a ₹0.394/ml premium over the four ₹1,099 bases, which on this mix is ₹38,415 at 25% and per bottle ₹29.55 at 100 ml, ₹35.46 at 120 ml and ₹59.10 at 200 ml. Published like every reed base: "Blend with 10-30% fragrance oil", a 25–30% working ratio, a 24–48 hour rest. The honest warning: a slower-evaporating base is not automatically better. If it restricts wicking or release, the bottle lasts longer and smells of less — so run it against your current base at each size, weigh both, and score throw blind against a cool-stored control. Stock is the thinnest of the five at 40 packs, well short of the 195 this mix needs, so message us before designing it in.

Priced above: Gold Reed Diffuser Bottle 50 ML Pack of 10 ₹826 (16 packs) and 120 ML Pack of 10 ₹1,062 (24 packs). Verbena ₹106.20 / ₹330.40 / ₹590 / ₹2,478 / ₹4,720 (88 / 92 / 96 / 99 / 100). White fibre reeds ₹265 / ₹450 / ₹900 / ₹4,500 (87 / 97 / 97 / 100); black ₹236 / ₹400 / ₹800 / ₹4,000 (73 / 93 / 95 / 100). Longevity ₹1,296 (40); Depth ₹1,099 (982); Softness ₹1,099 (98); Lift ₹1,099 (66); Pure Performance 500 ML ₹1,099 (56) and 100g ₹325 (63). The ₹325 100 g pack is priced by mass and the 500 ml packs by volume, and no density is published, so those two rungs cannot be reduced to one per-unit price. Verbena 33 kg as 33 whole kilos is ₹155,760 against ₹153,518 for the 32.5 kg route — ₹2,242 more for 500 g more. CSI live pricing and per-variant stock, October 2026.
The CSI principle
Three sizes share four packs, and no two packs are claimed in the same proportion. Plan the packs, not the sizes.
Base and oil divide by fill. Vessels divide by unit count. Reeds divide by the count you chose. A purchase order built from per-size subtotals will be arithmetically right and operationally wrong, because the shelf sells packs — and one of your three sizes is not a pack this store stocks at all.
Need the 200 ml vessel, or more than 24 packs of the 120 ML glass? Both are WhatsApp conversations, not catalogue lines. Tell us the mix — units per size, fill, load, reed count and colour — and we will come back with what today's stock covers, what is a quote, and which line to order first. Bulk pricing and GST invoicing are handled the same way.
Send us the mix
The litres were never the hard part. The hard part is that glass comes in tens and one of your sizes does not come at all.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished diffusers. The most useful sentence on this page says what we do not sell: there is no 100 ml and no 200 ml reed bottle in the range, and we have computed your 100 ml line as a part-fill and your 200 ml line as a vessel you qualify elsewhere rather than quietly pricing glass we cannot ship. CSI publishes no temperature data of any kind for any base, oil, reed or bottle — no flash point used as a working temperature, no viscosity, no volatility, no evaporation rate, no heat-stability statement, no storage temperature and no shelf life — and no density for any base or oil, which is why millilitres and grams are never interconverted here.

Every price, variant title and per-variant stock figure was read from live CSI data in October 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Stated specifications are quoted only where a page publishes them: "Blend with 10-30% fragrance oil", the 25–30% working ratio and the 24–48 hour rest on the reed bases; Longevity's "extended cold diffusion"; 20.3 cm, the 4–5 / 6–8 / 10+ bands, 6–8 reeds for a 50–100 ml bottle, flip every 3–5 days, 1–2 hours initial absorption and the sunlight and heat-source warning on the fibre reeds. Where a page contradicts itself — the bottle page's "Size: 50 and 100ml" against its 50 ML and 120 ML variants, and the base pages' 20% dose card against their 25–30% details table — we name it and route you to us. CSI lists fibre reed sticks and no rattan reeds at all.

Unit mixes, loads, reed counts and the 60-unit pilot on this page are planning assumptions, labelled as such, and every day-count or consumption figure in a production decision is your own measurement. Frequently asked questions

How much base and oil does a 100 ml, 120 ml or 200 ml reed diffuser need?
At the published 25% ratio, base is 75% of the fill in millilitres and oil is 25% of the fill in grams: 100 ml = 75 ml + 25 g, 120 ml = 90 ml + 30 g, 200 ml = 150 ml + 50 g. Inside the published 10-30% window the same formula holds with a different multiplier — at 20% it is 80 / 96 / 160 ml of base, at 30% it is 70 / 84 / 140. Because no density is published, hit the load by weight rather than converting: oil = base weight ÷ 4 at 20%, ÷ 3 at 25%, × 3 ÷ 7 at 30%.
Does CSI sell 100 ml and 200 ml reed diffuser bottles?
No. The reed bottle listing has exactly two variants — 50 ML Pack of 10 at ₹826 and 120 ML Pack of 10 at ₹1,062, and nothing above 120 ML is listed. A 100 ml product is a part-fill of the 120 ML glass, which costs ₹1.542 a millilitre in hardware against ₹1.418 at a full fill but puts the reed count inside the published 6–8 band. A 200 ml product needs glass sourced elsewhere and qualified: measure the neck, check a 20.3 cm reed stands properly at that depth, run leak and transport checks. The page's own body copy says "Size: 50 and 100ml" against its 50/120 variants; that is page copy, and we would rather name it than resolve it for you.
How many 500 ml base packs does a 1,000-unit mixed order need?
For 300 at 100 ml, 500 at 120 ml and 200 at 200 ml, all at 25%: 97,500 ml, which is exactly 195 packs at ₹1,099 = ₹214,305. The three sizes claim 45, 90 and 60 of those packs. At 20% the same mix needs 208 packs and at 30% it needs 182 — the base line falls as the load rises, while the oil line rises faster, so the whole order is cheapest at the low end of the published window on any oil dearer per gram than the base per millilitre. The largest listed base pack is 500 ml, so anything beyond pack arithmetic is a quote.
Which size is most expensive to make, and which is dearest per millilitre?
Those are two different questions with two different answers. Per bottle the 200 ml is dearest at ₹645.88 before its glass, against ₹509.73 at 120 ml and ₹453.14 at 100 ml. Per millilitre the order reverses: ₹3.2294 at 200 ml, ₹4.2478 at 120 ml and ₹4.5314 at 100 ml, because the glass costs the same ₹106.20 whether you put 100 ml or 120 ml in it. The 100 ml part-fill is 6.68% dearer per millilitre than the full 120 ml bottle — that is the price of sitting inside a published reed band.
Should I buy the premium base now that I have improved summer performance?
Test it per size first, and judge it on two readings. Longevity is ₹1,296 against ₹1,099 — ₹0.394 a millilitre, ₹38,415 across this mix at 25% — and its page's "extended cold diffusion" is wording, not a measurement. The binding caution is physical: a slower-evaporating base is not automatically a better base. If it restricts wicking or release, the bottle lasts longer and smells of less. So run it against your current base at each of your three sizes, weigh both at fixed checkpoints, and score throw blind against a sealed cool-stored control. Depth, Lift, Softness and Pure Performance are all ₹1,099, so switching between those four costs ₹0.
Can I validate all three sizes with one summer trial?
No, and this is where a multi-size range most often publishes a claim it cannot defend. Three fills with three reed counts have three different ratios of liquid to exposed reed surface, so they will not share one grams-per-day figure. Run one weighed bottle per size at minimum — two replicates per size in two conditions is 12 running bottles — and publish per size, with the room, season, airflow and reed count stated. And note the limit on the hot bench: a short run at a raised temperature screens for change, it does not establish sixty days in a customer's flat, and no arithmetic converts one into the other.
