I Want to Buy a Reed Diffuser Making Kit With Fragrance Oils, Base, Fibre Reeds and Bottles — Which Materials Should I Test for Indian Summer Conditions?
CSI does not list a reed diffuser making kit, so you will be assembling one. That is not bad news — a boxed kit hides the only decision that matters, which is how many finished bottles each of its four lines actually funds. Buy one pack of each and two of them run dry at three bottles while the glass sits there funding ten.
₹919.00
per finished 120 ml diffuser from a one-pack-of-each kit: ₹2,757 of material that yields exactly three bottles, against ₹476.02 for the next one once the packs are open — a 1.93× penalty for a kit nobody sized · CSI live pricing, October 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Does CSI sell a reed diffuser making kit? No. Checked live in October 2026, the kit-shaped listings are candle kits, a wax sachet kit, a solid perfume kit and a car hanging freshener kit at ₹799. There is no reed diffuser kit, so you buy four lines and size them yourself.
What are the four lines? A reed base at ₹1,099 for 500 ml, glass at ₹1,062 for ten 120 ML bottles, black fibre reeds at ₹236 for 25, and a fragrance oil from ₹360 for 100 g. One pack of each is ₹2,757.
How many bottles does that make?Three. At 120 ml and the published 25% ratio the base funds 5.56 bottles and the glass funds 10, but 100 g of oil funds 3.33 and 25 reeds at eight a bottle fund 3.125. Two lines bind at once, and ₹1,294.38 — 46.95% of the kit — cannot become a diffuser until you buy more.
Which materials should I test for summer? All four, and separately. The base and the oil are tested together as a blend, in a bare capped bottle with no reeds. The reeds are tested by count. The bottle is tested by fill and neck, which is your own measurement because no neck diameter is published.
Can a 40 °C bench run tell me it will survive an Indian May? No. A short hot run screens for change — cloudiness, sediment, colour, odour drift against a cool-stored control. It is never evidence of sixty days in a customer's flat, and no arithmetic converts it.
The short answer
Size the kit by its binding component. A kit is worth what its shortest line funds. Compute bottles-per-pack for all four lines before you add anything to a cart — base ÷ 90 ml, glass × 10, reeds ÷ your count, oil ÷ 30 g — and buy up the lines that run out first.
Glass is the only line that never binds. It arrives in tens and funds ten. Everything else is sold in quantities that cross the ten-bottle line at a different place, which is why a one-pack-of-each kit strands nearly half its money.
The published reed band does not cover the bottle CSI sells. The fibre reed pages state 6–8 reeds for a 50–100 ml bottle. The listed reed bottle is 50 ML or 120 ML, so a full 120 ml build sits outside the band and a 100 ml part-fill sits inside it.
A slower base is not automatically the better kit base. Longevity costs ₹197 more a pack and ₹35.46 more a bottle at 25%. If it restricts wicking or release you get a longer-lasting bottle that smells of less, so judge it on grams lost per day and throw.
Bottles funded = pack quantity ÷ per-bottle requirement at a 120 ml fill, the published 25% ratio and eight reeds: oil 100 ÷ 30 = 3.33, reeds 25 ÷ 8 = 3.125, base 500 ÷ 90 = 5.56, glass 10 × 1 = 10. Whole bottles are what you can sell, so the kit yields three. Change the fill to 50 ml or the count to six and all four bars move — which is the real reason a boxed kit cannot be right for everybody, and why this store sells the lines instead.
Which reed diffuser kit should I buy, and which materials should I test for Indian summer?
There is no reed diffuser kit to buy — CSI's kit listings are for candles, wax sachets, solid perfume and car fresheners — so buy the four lines and size them to a bottle count. One pack of each is a 500 ml base at ₹1,099, a 120 ML Pack of 10 at ₹1,062, 25 black fibre reeds at ₹236 and 100 g of oil at ₹360 — ₹2,757 that makes three bottles at ₹919.00 each, because the oil funds 3.33 bottles and the reeds 3.125 while the glass funds ten. Buy for ten bottles instead and the same four lines cost ₹5,140 and come out at ₹514.00 a bottle; at 50 ml with six reeds, six bottles cost ₹2,685, or ₹447.50 each. On testing: run the base-and-oil blend first in a bare capped bottle with no reeds, because clarity, sediment, colour and separation need no reed surface and reeds are the line that makes a cell expensive — bare hardware is ₹106.20 against ₹170.20 reeded. Then test the reed count, which is the cheapest reversible lever you have at ₹8.00 a reed. Then test the bottle, by fill: a 100 ml part-fill of the 120 ml glass puts the product back inside the published 6–8 reeds for a 50–100 ml bottle band that a full 120 ml build sits outside. Weigh everything on a ₹354 scale and log the room temperature from a ₹354 pen thermometer beside every weight.
One line: a kit is worth what its shortest line funds, and on one pack of each the shortest lines are the reeds and the oil — not the glass you assumed was the expensive part.
The instruments a kit never includes and every summer test needs: Candle Making Weighing Scale ₹354, Pen Thermometer ₹354 (19 units listed), Silicon Measuring Beaker 100 ML ₹300 and Attar Bottles 12 ml, Pack of 10, ₹360 for sealed retained references. ₹1,368 once, reused by every batch after.
Nine kits on the shelf and not one of them is a reed diffuser. That is the first fact to get straight.
Search the store for "kit" in October 2026 and nine active listings come back. They are good products and several are genuinely complete, but every one of them makes something else. The nearest thing in spirit is the car hanging freshener kit, which states on its own page that it makes three premium car fresheners for ₹799 — a passive-diffusion product, but a 12 ml hanging bottle rather than a reeded vessel. Here is the honest list.
Verified live, October 2026: the nine prices above are current listed prices and all nine listings are active. A tenth candle-kit listing exists in draft and does not open for a customer, so it is not linked here. Stock on the kit listings ranges from 52 to 993 units. The DIY Kits collection is where they sit. No reed diffuser kit, reed diffuser starter set or reed diffuser bundle is listed under any name.
This is worth saying plainly rather than apologising for. A boxed kit has to pick a bottle size, a fill, a load and a reed count on your behalf, and those four choices are exactly the ones that decide whether your product survives May in Pune. The reason to assemble is not thrift — as the arithmetic below shows, a badly sized self-assembly is the most expensive way to buy three bottles — it is that you get to choose the numbers and then test them.
The four components, and which one binds
Fix the build first: a 120 ml fill, the published 25% ratio — so 90 ml of base and 30 g of oil — and eight black fibre reeds. Now convert every pack into finished bottles. The column that matters is the last one, and it is the column nobody computes before paying.

The kit

—
₹476.02 marginal
3 whole bottles = ₹919.00 each
Worked out above: 1,099 + 1,062 + 236 + 360 = ₹2,757. Bottles funded: oil 100 ÷ 30 = 3.33; reeds 25 ÷ 8 = 3.125; base 500 ÷ 90 = 5.5556; glass 10. Whole bottles = 3, so ₹2,757 ÷ 3 = ₹919.00. The marginal bottle once the packs are open: glass ₹106.20 + 90 ml base at ₹2.198/ml = ₹197.82 + 30 g Zesty Lemon at ₹3.60/g = ₹108.00 + eight reeds at the ₹8.00 flat rate = ₹64.00, so ₹476.02; at the Pack-of-25 rate of ₹9.44 a reed it is ₹487.54. 919.00 ÷ 476.02 = 1.93×. Hardware alone is ₹170.20 reeded at ₹8.00 and ₹181.72 at the 25-pack rate; bare glass is ₹106.20. CSI live pricing, October 2026.
The mistake: letting the reed pack decide your reed count. Twenty-five reeds divides neatly by five and awkwardly by eight, so a maker with a Pack of 25 and a 120 ml bottle quietly drops to six or seven reeds to make the numbers come out — and has now changed the variable that CSI's own reed page says moves evaporation most: "use 10+ for maximum throw in larger rooms — the base will evaporate faster at higher reed counts". Decide the count from the product, then buy the pack that covers it. For 24 reeds the ₹236 Pack of 25 is ₹164.00 cheaper in absolute money than the ₹400 Pack of 50 despite being ₹1.44 dearer per reed; at 48 reeds the ₹400 Pack of 50 beats two Pack-of-25s at ₹472. Price the exact quantity every time.
One published detail deserves attention before you commit to a fill. The fibre reed pages state 6–8 reeds for a 50–100 ml bottle — a band that does not cover the 120 ML bottle the same store sells. That is not a contradiction so much as a gap, and it has a cheap resolution: fill the 120 ml bottle to 100 ml and the product sits inside the published band, at the cost of ₹1.542 a millilitre in hardware instead of ₹1.418. The reed pages also publish pack-coverage bands — 25 reeds covering 3–4 bottles, 50 covering 6–8, 100 covering 12–16, 500 covering 60–80 — and those bands divide out to exactly 6.25–8.33 reeds a bottle, so they were computed from the 6–8 count alone. At eight reeds the Pack of 25 lands on the bottom of its band. At twelve reeds a Pack of 100 covers eight bottles, not 12–16, and a Pack of 500 covers 41, not 60–80. If your product uses 10+ reeds, do the division yourself.
What one pack of each strands
Half the kit is still in the packs when the third bottle is finished, and it cannot get out without another purchase.
Stranded is the right word only if you never buy again. The useful framing is what the leftovers cannot do on their own: 230 ml of base, seven empty bottles and one spare reed do not become a diffuser without more reeds and more oil. Here is the inventory and its value.

Unlock 2 more bottles for ₹526: one Pack of 25 reeds ₹236 plus 65 g of oil ₹290
Worked out above: consumed = 3 × ₹106.20 glass + 270 × ₹2.198 base + 90 × ₹3.60 oil + 24 × ₹9.44 reeds = 318.60 + 593.46 + 324.00 + 226.56 = ₹1,462.62. Remainder = ₹2,757 − ₹1,462.62 = ₹1,294.38, which is 46.95% of the kit, and it reconciles line by line: 7 × 106.20 = ₹743.40, 230 × 2.198 = ₹505.54, 10 × 3.60 = ₹36.00, 1 × 9.44 = ₹9.44. The unlock: two more bottles need 16 reeds and 60 g of oil, so one Pack of 25 at ₹236 plus Zesty Lemon 50g ₹200 and 15g ₹90 = ₹526 for 65 g — ₹263.00 a bottle marginal, and the base is then down to 50 ml and becomes the binding line. Five bottles total for ₹3,283, or ₹656.60 each.
Two conclusions follow, and they point in opposite directions. The pessimistic one is that a one-pack-of-each kit is a poor way to buy three bottles. The optimistic one is that it is a perfectly good way to buy a trial, because three bottles is exactly a one-variable test with a replicate and a control — and the ₹1,294.38 remainder is not wasted, it is the second round. What you must not do is treat ₹919.00 as your cost per unit and price a product off it. That figure contains the whole first purchase; the number to build a price on is the marginal ₹476.02, and the number to build a forecast on is whatever your own bottle count resolves to in whole packs.
Keep the spare reed, and weigh it
The single leftover reed is the most useful item in the remainder. Dry it, weigh it on the ₹354 scale, then stand it in a measured 20 ml of your blend for two hours — the reed page states 1–2 hours initial absorption — lift it, let it drip, and weigh it again. Grams gained ÷ one reed is a soak figure you own. CSI publishes no reed diameter, pore size or fibre count — the pages say "consistent diameter" without ever stating one — so soak-and-weigh is the only quantitative comparison available between the black and white reeds, and it costs you one reed and twenty millilitres.
Five kit shapes, priced
The same four lines, bought five different ways. Note that the cheapest per bottle is not the cheapest to buy, and that moving to 50 ml changes which line binds — the reed count drops to six, the base goes 2.4 times further, and the glass arrives in tens whatever you do.

Worked out above. Sized for ten at 120 ml: 900 ml of base = two 500 ml packs ₹2,198; 300 g of oil = three 100g packs ₹1,080 (cheaper in cash than the 500g pack at ₹1,720); 80 reeds = one Pack of 100 ₹800, which ties two Pack-of-50s and beats ₹872 for 50 + 25 + 25; glass one Pack of 10 ₹1,062. Total ₹5,140 ÷ 10 = ₹514.00, with ₹379.80 of remainder (7.39%). At 50 ml and 25%: 37.5 ml of base = ₹82.425, 12.5 g of oil = ₹45.00, six reeds = ₹48.00, glass ₹82.60 — note the glass costs ₹0.175 more than the base inside it at this size. One pack of each at 50 ml funds base 500 ÷ 37.5 = 13.33, glass 10, oil 100 ÷ 12.5 = 8, reeds 25 ÷ 6 = 4.17, so 4 bottles. Sized for six: 225 ml of base fits one pack; 75 g of oil is cheapest as one 100g pack at ₹360; 36 reeds is one Pack of 50 at ₹400 against ₹472 for two Pack-of-25s. Hardware per millilitre: ₹2.612 at 50 ml with six reeds against ₹1.41833 at a full 120 ml with eight — a 1.84× penalty for downsizing.
Read the last row carefully, because it is the one that surprises people. The six-bottle 50 ml kit is the cheapest per bottle on this table and it is bound by the glass — not because glass is scarce, but because it is sold in tens and you wanted six. That is the general shape of a kit problem: every line has its own granularity, and the binding line moves depending on which number you fixed first. Fix the bottle count and the packs follow; fix the packs and the bottle count is decided for you by whichever line happens to be coarsest.
Which component each summer test interrogates
Four materials, four separate questions. One trial that changes all four answers nothing.
Now the part the kit question is really about. You have four lines and an Indian May coming. Test them in the order that costs least and isolates most — and be exact about what each test is allowed to conclude, because the temptation in this category is to run one hot cupboard for a fortnight and call it a sixty-day claim.

Sixty days in a customer's flat. No accelerated result converts
A short hot run is a change screen, not a life predictor. Put four bottles in a cupboard at 40 °C for ten days, see one go cloudy, and you have learned something real and useful: that arm is out. Put four bottles in the same cupboard, see none of them change, and you have learned nothing about longevity — not a multiplier, not a ratio, not a conservative estimate. CSI publishes no temperature figure of any kind for any base, oil, reed or bottle, so there is no published relationship to extrapolate along, and inventing one is how a 60-day claim becomes a refund. Days of life stays what it always is: usable liquid ÷ your own measured grams per day, both halves labelled as yours, with the room, the season, the airflow and the reed count written beside them. The protocol for the hot run and its limits is in the accelerated-stability post; the weighed 60-day version is in the 60-day trial post.
1
Fix the four numbers before you fix the cartFill, load, reed count, bottle count. Write them down. At 120 ml and the published 25% ratio each bottle is 90 ml of base and 30 g of oil; at 50 ml it is 37.5 ml and 12.5 g. Then divide every candidate pack by those figures and see which line is shortest. This takes four divisions and it is the difference between ₹919.00 and ₹514.00 a bottle.
2
Blend, rest, and keep a sealed reference before anything goes into glassEvery CSI reed base page states a 24–48 hour rest before bottling. Use it. While the blend rests, draw two 12 ml retained references into ₹36 attar vessels — 9 ml of base and 3 g of oil each at 25% — and code them. One goes somewhere cool, one goes wherever your test temperature is. Every later judgement about whether the product has changed is a comparison against these, not against your memory.
3
Put up the bare arm first, because it needs no reedsOne 120 ml bottle, 90 ml base, 30 g oil, capped, no reeds. Weigh the whole bottle cold on day 0, log the room temperature from the ₹354 pen thermometer, photograph against a white card. This is the cheapest full-size cell available — ₹304.02 of glass and base, nothing else — and it isolates the carrier's own behaviour and every appearance question from anything the reeds are doing.
4
Build the reeded arms at two counts, not oneSix reeds and ten reeds, same blend, same glass, same fill, flipped on the same schedule — the reed pages state flip every 3–5 days, and both counts sit on published bands. Weigh weekly rather than daily: a ±1 g reading error on a 2 g daily signal is ±50%, while on a 14 g week it is ±7.1%. Write a one-line intensity note beside every weight, from a fixed spot in the room at a fixed time of day.
5
Compare at fixed checkpoints, never at end datesTwo bottles that finish on different days share only one usable data point — the earlier of the two end dates — so stop comparing endings. Weigh every arm on the same days, and read the slope. If one arm consumes less and also scores lower on intensity, you have not found a better product; you have found a slower one, and that is a different thing.
6
Buy the production packs only after the counts are frozenOnce fill, load and reed count are decided, the pack arithmetic is mechanical and the savings are real: 80 reeds is ₹800 as one Pack of 100, 48 reeds is ₹400 as one Pack of 50, 24 reeds is ₹236 as one Pack of 25. Buying before the count is frozen is how a maker ends up with 500 reeds for a product that turned out to need six.
The four lines to buy

Gold Reed Diffuser Bottle Pack of 10 (50 ML and 120 ML)
Two variants, both packs of ten: 50 ML at ₹826 (₹82.60 a bottle) and 120 ML at ₹1,062 (₹106.20 a bottle). Because it arrives in tens it is the one line that funds ten bottles whatever else you buy — and the one that forces a ten-bottle decision when you wanted six. Two things to know. First, the page's body copy reads "Size: 50 and 100ml" against its own 50 ML and 120 ML variants; that is page copy and not a third size, so message us if you need the 100 ml build and we will tell you what to fill the 120 ml glass to. Second, no neck diameter is published, so a reed fit question is your own measurement with calipers and a vessel swap is a qualification rather than a tweak. Live stock is 16 and 24 packs — 160 and 240 bottles, which makes glass the binding line on any large order; that is a stock ceiling, not a listed-pack ceiling.

The page also states "does not swell in heat or humidity". No diameter, pore size or fibre count is published, so soak-and-weigh is your comparison. CSI lists no rattan reed of any kind, and the fibre pages argue specifically against bamboo.

The base with the deepest stock · and the one claiming to slow evaporation
Depth Base — Professional Reed & Car Diffuser Base (500 ml)
A single "Default Title" variant at ₹1,099 for 500 ml = ₹2.198 a millilitre, with 982 packs live — comfortably the deepest base line in the range. Its page is the only one in the range claiming to "slow evaporation" and to "stabilise tricky sweet and spicy fragrance oils", and those are the page's own words rather than measurements, so they cannot rank it numerically against another base. Read its Avoid list before you pair it: Depth lists "Fresh citrus, light florals, aquatics" under Avoid and routes them to Lift, whose stated purpose is "citrus, green, bright florals" — so for the lemon oil in the kit above, CSI's own copy steers you away from the slow-evaporation base. Published: "Blend with 10-30% fragrance oil", a 25–30% working ratio, a 24–48 hour rest. Named, not resolved: the details table says 70–75% base with 25–30% oil while the dose cards mark 20% as "Recommended". The fibre reed pages' own compatibility list names Pure Performance, Lift, Longevity and Softness and omits Depth, with one instance saying "including" — that reads as page copy written before Depth joined, not as an incompatibility. Zesty Lemon Fragrance Oil
The kit's oil line, chosen because its ladder falls at every rung and its kilo genuinely saves money — ₹40 against two 500g packs, which is one of the larger rewards in the fresh family. At ₹3.60 a gram from the 100g pack, 30 g in a 120 ml bottle at 25% is ₹108.00, and the pack funds 3.33 bottles, which is why it binds the one-pack-of-each kit. Do not quote its page's "Heat Stable" line — no temperature, viscosity or evaporation figure is published for it or for any other oil in the range, so there is no number behind that phrase to put in front of a customer. Its inventory figures look like placeholders (11,111 and 111,111), so treat its depth as unconfirmed and ask us before designing a production line around it. Pair it with Lift rather than Depth if you follow the Depth page's own routing for citrus.

The CSI principle
A kit is worth what its shortest line funds. Buy to a bottle count, not to one pack of each.
Four lines, four granularities: base in 500 ml, glass in tens, reeds in 25s, oil in grams. Nothing makes them line up except deciding your bottle count first and then buying up to it. That is also why a boxed kit cannot be right for everybody — it has to choose your fill and your reed count on your behalf, and those are the two numbers your summer depends on.
Thinking about the slower base for the kit? Longevity is ₹1,296 against ₹1,099 — ₹197 a pack and ₹35.46 a bottle at 25%, and on a three-bottle kit that premium spreads over three bottles rather than five and a half. It is the only base claiming "extended cold diffusion", and that is the page's wording, not a measurement. Depth, Lift, Softness and Pure Performance are all ₹1,099, so those swaps cost ₹0 a bottle.
Nobody ever ran out of glass. They ran out of reeds, and then redesigned the product around the pack.

Why trust this guide
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished diffusers. The most commercially useful thing on this page is a refusal: there is no reed diffuser kit to sell you, and we have said so rather than pointing you at a candle kit. CSI publishes no temperature data of any kind for any base, oil, reed or bottle — no flash point used as a working temperature, no viscosity, no volatility, no evaporation rate, no heat-stability statement, no storage temperature and no shelf life — so every temperature in a summer test plan is your choice and every day-count is your observation.
Every price, variant title and per-variant stock figure here was read from live CSI data in October 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Stated specifications are quoted only where a page publishes them: "Blend with 10-30% fragrance oil", the 25–30% working ratio and the 24–48 hour rest on the reed bases; Depth's "slows evaporation" and its Avoid list; Longevity's "extended cold diffusion"; 20.3 cm, "uniform pore structure", "consistent diffusion from day 1 to day 30", the 4–5 / 6–8 / 10+ bands, flip every 3–5 days, 1–2 hours initial absorption, the sunlight and heat-source warning and the 10+ reed note on the fibre reeds. Where a page contradicts itself — the bottle page's "Size: 50 and 100ml" against its 50/120 variants, and the base pages' 20% dose card against their 25–30% details table — we name it and route you to us rather than resolving it. The reed pack-coverage bands are derived from the 6–8 count, not measured, so we divide them out for you.
CSI lists fibre reed sticks and no rattan reeds at all. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, documentation requests or help matching four pack sizes to a bottle count, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.
Frequently asked questions
Does CSI sell a complete reed diffuser making kit?
No. As of October 2026 the live kit listings are candle kits, an aroma wax sachet kit at ₹554.60, a solid body perfume kit at ₹799 and a car hanging freshener kit at ₹799 whose page states it makes three fresheners. There is no reed diffuser kit, starter set or bundle under any name. You buy four lines — base, glass, reeds, oil — and size them to a bottle count. One pack of each is ₹2,757 and makes three bottles.
How many reeds does a 120 ml reed diffuser need?
CSI's fibre reed pages publish count bands of 4–5, 6–8 and 10+, and state 6–8 reeds for a 50–100 ml bottle — a band that does not cover the 120 ML bottle the same store sells. So the honest answer is that there is no published figure for 120 ml, and the two routes are either to run eight to ten reeds and treat the count as your own tested choice, or to part-fill the 120 ml glass to 100 ml and sit inside the published band. The second costs ₹1.542 a millilitre in hardware against ₹1.418 at a full fill. Either way the count is the cheapest reversible lever you have: ₹8.00 a reed, and you can pull reeds out.
Which base should go in the kit, and does the expensive one last longer?
Match the base to the oil, not to its price. Depth, Lift, Softness and Pure Performance are all ₹1,099 for 500 ml — ₹2.198 a millilitre — so switching between them costs ₹0 a bottle, and CSI's Depth page routes fresh citrus, light florals and aquatics to Lift rather than to itself. Only Longevity carries a premium, ₹197 a pack and ₹35.46 a bottle at 25%. And be careful what you expect from it: a slower-evaporating base is not automatically a better base. If it restricts wicking or release the bottle lasts longer and smells of less, so judge the swap on grams lost per day and a coded intensity note against a cool-stored control.
Should I buy fibre reeds or rattan reeds for Indian summer?
CSI lists fibre reed sticks only — no rattan reed is listed at any size or colour, so this store cannot sell you the comparison. The fibre pages state "uniform pore structure — no swelling, no clogging, no splitting" and "does not swell in heat or humidity", and they argue specifically against bamboo. One complication worth naming: the Pure Performance page's copy mentions "rattan reed sticks" twice, which refers to a reed type the store does not stock. If a rattan comparison matters to your product, message us rather than reading that line as an offer.
What is the cheapest way to buy enough material for a proper summer trial?
At 50 ml. A one-pack-of-each kit at 50 ml and six reeds is ₹2,521 and funds four bottles — ₹630.25 each — against ₹2,757 for three bottles at 120 ml. Six 50 ml bottles sized properly is ₹2,685, or ₹447.50 a bottle, and 225 ml of base fits inside one 500 ml pack, whereas six bottles at 120 ml and 25% need 540 ml and force a second pack. The trade-off is that hardware per millilitre rises to ₹2.612 from ₹1.418 — a 1.84× penalty — so a 50 ml trial is cheaper to run and a 50 ml product is dearer to make.
Can I test the whole kit at 40 °C and then advertise a 60-day life?
No. A short run at a raised temperature is a screen for change — cloudiness, sediment, colour drift, an odour difference against a sealed cool control from the same batch — and nothing more. There is no published relationship between a bench temperature and real-world life for any product in this range, because CSI publishes no temperature figure for any of them, so there is nothing to extrapolate along. A longevity figure comes from running real bottles to the end and dividing: usable liquid ÷ your own measured grams per day, with the room, season, airflow and reed count stated beside it. Validate it per fragrance before advertising one range across a collection.

Figures verified October 2026: Kit arithmetic — ₹1,099 + ₹1,062 + ₹236 + ₹360 = ₹2,757; bottles funded 100 ÷ 30 = 3.33, 25 ÷ 8 = 3.125, 500 ÷ 90 = 5.5556, glass 10; three whole bottles, ₹2,757 ÷ 3 = ₹919.00; marginal bottle ₹106.20 + ₹197.82 + ₹108.00 + ₹64.00 = ₹476.02, ratio 1.93×. Remainder ₹743.40 + ₹505.54 + ₹36.00 + ₹9.44 = ₹1,294.38 = 46.95%; consumed ₹1,462.62. Unlock ₹236 + ₹290 = ₹526 for two more bottles, five for ₹3,283 = ₹656.60. Ten-bottle kit ₹1,062 + ₹2,198 + ₹1,080 + ₹800 = ₹5,140 = ₹514.00. Fifty-millilitre kits ₹2,521 for four (₹630.25) and ₹2,685 for six (₹447.50); 50 ml cell ₹82.60 + ₹82.425 + ₹45.00 + ₹48.00 = ₹258.03, glass exceeding base by ₹0.175. Hardware per ml ₹2.612 at 50 ml with six reeds against ₹1.41833 at 120 ml with eight, a 1.84× penalty; reeds are 37.6% of ₹170.20 hardware. Reed routes: 24 reeds ₹236, 48 reeds ₹400, 80 reeds ₹800. Published reed pack-coverage bands divide out to 6.25–8.33 reeds a bottle, so at twelve reeds a Pack of 100 covers 8 bottles and a Pack of 500 covers 41. Every temperature, duration and day-count in the test plan is the reader's own choice or observation. CSI publishes no temperature, viscosity, volatility, evaporation-rate, heat-stability, storage-temperature or shelf-life figure for any base, oil, reed or bottle, and none is stated, estimated or implied here. No oil is described as holding or losing its character in heat. The 10–30% blend range is the base pages' formulation window, not a safety or regulatory limit; compliance and labelling are matters for a qualified adviser. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
