1.6 kg per scent, 8 kg in total, on a 200 g candle at 8% of finished weight. That is the easy part. The part that costs money is that no fragrance pack above 1 kg exists, so 1.6 kg has to be assembled from bottles — and the cheapest way to assemble it is not the same on every oil.
1.6 kg
per scent · 8 kg across five scents · priced below on five real CSI oils from ₹5,003.20 to ₹20,480.00 for the same 1.6 kg · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How much oil per scent? A 200 g candle at 8% of finished weight is 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax. 100 candles = 1,600 g = 1.6 kg per scent. Five scents = 8 kg, and 92 kg of wax for the whole 500.

And if I meant 8% of the wax? Then it is 14.8 g of oil and 185.2 g of wax per candle — 1.48 kg per scent, 7.4 kg total. Across five scents the two conventions differ by 600 g of oil. Decide which one you mean before you order.

Can I just buy 1.6 kg? No. CSI's fragrance ladder stops at 1 kg — there is no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg bottle. 1.6 kg is 1 kg + 500 g + 100 g, or 1 kg + 6 × 100 g, or two kilograms with 400 g spare. The three routes do not cost the same, and the winner changes by oil.

What is the expensive mistake? Buying two kilograms per scent. On the five oils priced below that is ₹65,022.00 instead of ₹52,470.20 — ₹12,551.80 more, for 2 kg of oil you may never pour.
The short answer
The requirement: 1.6 kg per scent at 8% of finished weight on a 200 g candle; 8 kg of oil and 92 kg of wax for 500 candles. State the convention — 8% of the wax instead gives 1.48 kg per scent and 7.4 kg total.
The purchase: assemble 1.6 kg from real packs. 1 kg + 500 g + 100 g wins on British Rose and Lavender; 1 kg + 6 × 100 g wins on Tobacco Vanilla; on Coffee Blast every route ties.
The recommendation: buy 1 kg + 500 g + 2 × 100 g = 1,700 g per scent. That carries roughly six candles of buffer per scent for ₹3,391.20 across all five, against ₹12,551.80 for the two-kilogram route.

1,600 g per scent, built from packs that exist — and the cheapest build is not the same oil to oil 1,600 g needed · 100 candles × 16 g BRITISH ROSE — cheapest build: 1 kg + 500 g + 100 g = ₹5,003.20 1 kg · ₹3,068.00 500 g · ₹1,593 TOBACCO VANILLA — cheapest build: 1 kg + 6 × 100 g = ₹12,293.00 1 kg · ₹7,499.00 EITHER OIL, TWO KILOGRAMS — overshoots the requirement by 400 g 1 kg 1 kg 400 g idle The 400 g overshoot costs ₹1,132.80 extra on British Rose and ₹2,705.00 on Tobacco Vanilla — ₹12,551.80 across five scents. Bars are drawn to scale against 1,600 g. Prices are CSI live variant prices, September 2026.
Both rows deliver exactly 1,600 g with nothing left over. British Rose gets there most cheaply through its 500 g bottle; Tobacco Vanilla gets there most cheaply by skipping the 500 g bottle entirely, because on that oil the 500 g pack is ₹0.008 per gram dearer than the 100 g. The bottom row is the route most makers actually take, and it is the only one that costs real money.
Straight answer
How much fragrance oil does 500 candles in five scents, 100 each, need at 8%?
1.6 kg per scent and 8 kg in total, if 8% means 8% of the finished 200 g candle — that is 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax per candle, so 100 candles take 1,600 g. If you mean 8% of the wax, it is 14.8 g of oil against 185.2 g of wax, which is 1.48 kg per scent and 7.4 kg total. State which one you mean: across five scents the gap is 600 g of oil. The purchase is the harder question, because CSI's fragrance ladder stops at 1 kg — there is no bottle above it. So each scent is assembled: 1 kg + 500 g + 100 g, or 1 kg + six 100 g bottles, or two kilograms with 400 g spare. On British Rose the first route wins at ₹5,003.20; on Tobacco Vanilla the second wins at ₹12,293.00; on Coffee Blast they tie at ₹20,480.00. Buying five scents at their best route costs ₹52,470.20; buying two kilograms of each costs ₹65,022.00. And the same 8 kg ranges from ₹25,016.00 to ₹102,400.00 depending on which oils you pick, so budgeting "8 kg of oil" as one line is not a budget. Wax for the whole run is 92 kg, shared across all five scents.
One line: 1.6 kg per scent, 8 kg total — then buy it as 1 kg + 500 g + 2 × 100 g per scent and stop before the second kilogram.
The five oils priced through this page: British Rose ₹3,068/kg, Jasmine ₹3,923/kg, Lavender ₹5,221/kg, Tobacco Vanilla ₹7,499/kg and Coffee Blast ₹12,800/kg. Four of them stock a 15 g trial bottle. Every ladder is published on the product page.

The base arithmetic, and which 8% you actually mean

Two conventions are in use for "fragrance load", both defensible, and they differ by 600 g on an order this size.

Start with one candle. A 200 g finished candle at 8% of finished weight is 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax. Times 100, one scent needs 1,600 g of oil and 18.4 kg of wax. Times five, 8 kg of oil and 92 kg of wax. That is the whole calculation, and the convention this page uses throughout.

The alternative convention is 8% of the wax: 14.8 g of oil and 185.2 g of wax. That is 1.48 kg per scent, 7.4 kg across five — a gap of 600 g, which on Lavender at ₹5.221 per gram is ₹3,132.60 of stock you either bought or did not. Both framings live inside CSI's own catalogue: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks states its 13% ceiling as a percentage of total wax weight, while the cost-per-candle arithmetic everyone uses works on finished weight.

The fix takes one line in your recipe sheet. Write the load as grams, not a percentage: "16 g oil per 200 g candle" leaves nothing to interpret. Keep your bill of materials in grams per unit and the purchase quantity falls out of it, with no convention error surviving into an order.

Three CSI waxes publish a maximum fragrance load: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at 13%, Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at 10%, Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 at 13%. The other thirteen publish no ceiling at all. These are formulation limits set by the wax maker — not regulatory limits, and not interchangeable between waxes. At 8% you are inside all three. Why 1.6 kg cannot be bought cleanly — and what the three routes cost

This is what makes 500 candles in five scents different from a 5,000-candle run. CSI's fragrance ladder is at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg — no 2 kg bottle, no 5 kg jerry can, no 10 kg drum in the 92-oil range. At 5,000 candles you buy whole kilograms and pack size barely matters. At 100 candles a scent you need 1.6 kg, which no single pack delivers. That is pack granularity, and here it decides your bill more than price per kilogram does.

Three builds are sensible. A: 1 kg + 500 g + 100 g — exactly 1,600 g, nothing spare. B: two 1 kg bottles — 2,000 g, 400 g over. C: 1 kg + six 100 g bottles — again exactly 1,600 g, and it exists because on some oils the 100 g is cheaper per gram than the 500 g.

Five scents, 8 kg — — — ₹52,475.20 ₹65,022.00 ₹52,858.20 ₹52,470.20

Read the bottom row twice. Route A across all five costs ₹52,475.20; each scent's own cheapest build costs ₹52,470.20 — a saving of ₹5.00. Route C throughout costs ₹52,858.20, ₹388.00 above optimal. Choosing between the exact-fit builds is trivial money. Route B is not: two kilograms per scent costs ₹65,022.00, ₹12,551.80 more, or 23.9% on top of the fragrance bill — worth more than every other optimisation on this page combined.

Why Tobacco Vanilla breaks the pattern
Its 100 g is ₹799.00 — ₹7.99 per gram. Its 500 g is ₹3,999.00 — ₹7.998 per gram. The bigger bottle is ₹0.008 a gram dearer, so buying 600 g as six 100 g bottles saves ₹4.00 per scent. Four rupees is not a business decision; the fact that a ladder can run backwards is, because you cannot assume the larger pack wins on any oil without checking. Jasmine does it one rung higher: three 500 g plus a 100 g (₹6,313.00) beats a kilogram plus 500 g plus 100 g (₹6,314.00) by a rupee.

And the rounding penalty itself is small, which argues against the usual advice. At each oil's kilogram rate with no pack rounding at all, 1.6 kg of each of the five costs ₹52,017.60 against ₹52,470.20 for the cheapest real builds. The entire cost of pack granularity on an 8 kg order is ₹452.60 — 0.87%, ₹389.00 of it on two oils (₹294.60 Tobacco Vanilla, ₹94.40 British Rose). So the problem is not a pack premium. It is that 1.6 kg looks awkward, and an awkward number tempts people to round up to two kilograms.

The leftover question, argued honestly — and it is a per-scent decision

Two kilograms per scent leaves 2 kg of oil across the order. Whether that is stock or a write-off depends on whether those scents sell again.

Route B is not stupid: one line per scent in the cart, and 400 g of headroom for the pour you spill and the candle you remake. The case against it is not that leftover oil is worthless — it is that leftover oil is only worth its price if you pour it. Valued at each oil's own kilogram rate:

Route B leftovers · 400 g per scent, 2 kg across the order
What the idle oil is worth, and what the overbuy actually cost
Oil Kilogram rate 400 g idle, at that rate Route B cost over cheapest build Candles that 400 g would make
British Rose ₹3.068/g ₹1,227.20 ₹1,132.80 25
Jasmine ₹3.923/g ₹1,569.20 ₹1,533.00 25
Lavender ₹5.221/g ₹2,088.40 ₹2,061.00 25
Tobacco Vanilla ₹7.499/g ₹2,999.60 ₹2,705.00 25
Coffee Blast ₹12.80/g ₹5,120.00 ₹5,120.00 25
Total — ₹13,004.40 ₹12,551.80 125

If you will pour those 125 candles, route B is not an overspend — it is 125 candles of stock at your best rate. If you will not, ₹12,551.80 has left the business to sit on a shelf, ₹5,120.00 of it in one bottle of Coffee Blast. So the answer differs by scent inside one order: decide route scent by scent.

1
Sort the five into repeaters and one-offs. A scent in your permanent range, or one a stockist reorders, is a repeater; one chosen for a single wedding palette or festive drop is not. Be strict — "I might use it again" is a one-off.
2
Repeaters: buy the second kilogram only if the rate justifies it. On Tobacco Vanilla the kilogram is ₹7.499/g against ₹7.99/g for 100 g bottles, so it is genuinely your cheapest future stock. On Coffee Blast every pack is ₹12.80/g, so the second kilogram buys convenience and nothing else.
3
One-offs: exact-fit build plus one 100 g bottle. 1 kg + 500 g + 2 × 100 g is 1,700 g — the 1,600 g you need plus roughly six candles of margin. Across all five scents those extra bottles cost ₹3,391.20, against ₹12,551.80 for the two-kilogram route.
4
Price the buffered build before you commit. 1,700 g per scent at each oil's best route: British Rose ₹5,345.40, Jasmine ₹6,743.00, Lavender ₹8,921.00, Tobacco Vanilla ₹13,092.00, Coffee Blast ₹21,760.00 — ₹55,861.40, which is ₹9,160.60 below the two-kilogram route and still carries 500 g of working buffer.
The CSI principle
Leftover oil is stock for a scent you will repeat and a cost for a scent you will not. The same 400 g is both, depending on the scent it is in.
One purchase, five separate decisions — which is why "always buy the bigger bottle" is the wrong rule here.
Wax is the one line shared across all five scents: 92 kg for the whole run. On CSI 464 at ₹507.40/kg flat from 1 kg upwards that is ₹46,680.80, and the 10 kg pack saves nothing per kilogram over the 1 kg — it just means fewer parcels.
Shop candle wax

The per-gram ladder, in both directions

The 100 g bottle that completes 1.6 kg usually costs more per gram than the kilogram beneath it. On British Rose the 100 g is ₹342.20 — ₹3.422 per gram against ₹3.068, 11.5% dearer, ₹35.40 extra. On Jasmine it is ₹430.00 — ₹4.30 per gram against ₹3.923, 9.6% dearer, ₹37.70 extra. Lavender is gentler at 3.4% and Tobacco Vanilla is 6.5%. On Coffee Blast the premium is zero — ₹12.80 per gram at every rung from 15 g to 1 kg.

Now the part that argues against our own interest, and it stays because it is true. On a number of CSI oils the kilogram is not cheaper than two 500 g packs — it is identical, or a rupee dearer. Jasmine: two 500 g are ₹3,922.00 against ₹3,923.00 for the kilogram, so the kilogram is ₹1 dearer. Sandalwood: two 500 g are ₹5,026.80 and so is the kilogram — exactly nothing, flat per gram from 100 g up. The same ₹1-dearer pattern holds on Dark Vanilla Oud, White Royal Oud, Smoked Rose Royale and Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon — and on the last of those the per-gram price rises all the way up, so the cheapest kilogram is twenty 50 g bottles at ₹7,980.00, ₹19 under the kilogram. On those oils the bigger bottle buys nothing but fewer caps to open. Do not let a supplier — us included — imply otherwise.

So read the ladder on the product page for the specific oil, every time. No general rule holds across 92 oils: some fall steeply (Mint Sandalwood's kilogram at ₹4,999.00 saves ₹491 against ten 100 g bottles, 8.9%), some are flat, a handful run backwards.

A pack-size note that matters here: not every oil stocks every rung. Mint Sandalwood has no 500 g and no 15 g — 50 g, 100 g and 1 kg only. Vanilla Orange Blossom has no 500 g. Several Royal-line ouds, Royal Oud and Amber Oud Royal among them, have no 15 g and no 50 g. Tobacco Vanilla starts at 100 g. If one of your five is missing a rung, route A may not exist for it — check the listing before you plan the build.
At 5,000 candles you are buying a price per kilogram. At 100 candles a scent you are buying bottles, and bottles do not divide the way spreadsheets do.

Five scents, five prices — and why one load figure may not fit all five

The commonest costing error on a multi-scent order is treating fragrance as one line: "8 kg of oil". The same 8 kg, on real CSI oils, ranges from ₹25,016.00 to ₹102,400.00 — ₹50.03 against ₹204.80 of fragrance in every candle, which decides whether the price you quoted the client works.

Jasmine ₹3.923 ₹6,313.00 ₹63.13 ₹31,565.00
Lavender ₹5.221 ₹8,381.00 ₹83.81 ₹41,905.00
Tobacco Vanilla ₹7.499 ₹12,293.00 ₹122.93 ₹61,465.00
Coffee Blast ₹12.80 ₹20,480.00 ₹204.80 ₹102,400.00
This five-scent mix — ₹52,470.20 ₹104.94 average —

Coffee Blast's 1.6 kg costs 4.09 times British Rose's for the identical quantity — a ₹77,384.00 swing across five scents. The catalogue is wider still: Citrus Lemon at ₹2.832 per gram against Club De Nuit Intense inspired at ₹24.056 is an 8.49× spread at kilogram rates. Until you have chosen the actual five oils you do not have a fragrance budget, you have a guess — read the cheap-versus-premium comparison before fixing the mix.

Second, a maker may legitimately run different loads on different scents — a light citrus high in its range, a heavy gourmand lower — because the two need different doses to read the same strength in a room. CSI publishes no per-scent load recommendation: the right load for each of your oils is established by pouring and burning, not looked up. What is published is the ceiling per wax — 13% on Luxury Soy Chunks, 10% on CSI 464, 13% on CSI 468, nothing on the other thirteen.

If you do run mixed loads, compute each scent separately. Say British Rose at 10%, Coffee Blast at 6%, the other three at 8%: 2.0 kg, 1.2 kg and 1.6 kg each — still 8 kg in total and still 92 kg of wax, so an 8% average gives the right grand total and the wrong purchase at both ends. Buy 1.6 kg of British Rose and you are 400 g short, 25 candles you cannot make; buy 1.6 kg of Coffee Blast and 400 g of the dearest oil sits idle.

Coffee Blast 6% 12 g 1.2 kg 1 kg + 2 × 100 g ₹15,360.00
Total 8% average — 8.0 kg — ₹48,483.00

The same 8 kg, the same 500 candles, ₹3,987.20 less than the flat-8% version at ₹52,470.20 — because the extra grams went into the ₹3.068 oil and came out of the ₹12.80 one. That is ₹96.97 of fragrance per candle instead of ₹104.94. What this is not: a recommendation to run British Rose at 10% and Coffee Blast at 6%. The loads are yours to establish, and 10% is the published ceiling for CSI 464 — a maximum, not a target.

Wax, jars, wicks, samples — and the full purchase

Wax: 92 kg, and a single purchase. Wax is shared across all five scents, so there is no granularity problem — buy one quantity and split it at the melter. On Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, nine 10 kg packs plus two 1 kg packs is 92 kg at ₹46,680.80 — and because CSI 464 is flat at ₹507.40/kg from 1 kg upwards, the 10 kg pack saves nothing per kilogram; the only reason to buy it is fewer parcels. There is no 25 kg pack of any wax on the store: the ladder is 500 g, 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg, with one exception below.

Two against-interest notes on the wax. On Luxury Soy Wax Chunks the 10 kg bag is ₹599.90/kg against ₹599.00/kg for the 1 kg — the big bag is ₹0.90 a kilogram dearer, so buying 90 kg as eighteen 5 kg bags instead of nine 10 kg bags saves ₹81.00. And Natural Soy Pearl Wax is the only wax with a real volume break (₹450.00/kg at 1 kg, ₹424.80/kg from 5 kg up, including its 50 kg pack — the one wax pack above 10 kg CSI sells) — but it publishes no fragrance ceiling, so we will not tell you 8% is inside its limit. A published ceiling behind your 8% means CSI 464, Luxury Soy Chunks or CSI 468.

Jars: 500 vessels, fill weight yours to verify. The 200 ml Salsa Glass Jar with golden lug cap is ₹2,950.00 per 100, so 500 is ₹14,750.00 at ₹29.50 each, cap included. But "200 ml" is a volume, not a 200 g fill weight, and the matte glass jar family (₹708.00 per 10, ₹35,400.00 for 500) publishes no fill weight at all. Only the Apothecary Glass Candle Jar with Dome Lid at ₹212.40 publishes a fill capacity — 500 g — and at ₹106,200.00 for 500 it is a different tier. Where a jar publishes no fill capacity, pour and weigh.

Wicks, where buffer is nearly free. Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) are ₹5.90 per wick at every pack size from 10 to 1,000 — no volume break, and none needed. 500 wicks is ₹2,950.00; a spare 100 costs ₹590.00, giving ₹3,540.00 for 600. Buy the spares: a binned wick costs six rupees, a binned jar thirty, a re-poured scent whatever that oil charges per gram. Which is why buffer is sized per material, never as one flat percentage — glass breaks, wax does not, wicks are nearly free and fragrance is the expensive one. CSI publishes no wick-to-diameter chart, so test against the wick guide by jar diameter before committing 500 pieces. Stickers: Candle Wick Stickers are a 40-sticker sheet at ₹100.00, so thirteen sheets give 520 for ₹1,300.00; a Candle Care Stickers Roll is ₹413.00 for 500 at 1 inch or ₹699.00 for 1,000 at 1.5 inch.

What CSI does not sell, said plainly, because a "complete" list that quietly omits it is worse than useless. There are no standalone lids, no retail or gift boxes, no shipping cartons, no printed labels, no box inserts, no bubble wrap, no cushioning and no packing tape in the catalogue. Those are real lines in your bill of materials: price them with your own printer and packaging supplier before you quote the client. Some jars — the Salsa jar among them — ship with a lid as part of the product, so read the title and never budget a lid separately.

Samples: five scents means five sample sets

A 500-candle order is not a 500-candle purchase. You need approval samples before sign-off, retained samples held back so you can reference the batch if a complaint arrives, and replacements for bench failures — and with five scents each of those multiplies by five.

Small bottles make it cheap. Four of these five stock a 15 g size: British Rose ₹94.40, Jasmine ₹103.00, Lavender ₹105.02 and Coffee Blast ₹216.00 — ₹518.42 for all four. Tobacco Vanilla stocks neither 15 g nor 50 g, so its smallest is 100 g at ₹799.00 and the complete five-scent approval set is ₹1,317.42, 2.5% of the fragrance bill. One 15 g bottle at 8% makes roughly 187 g of candle, or two 70 g votive pours with margin. Note what the ladder gaps did: one oil's missing rungs cost more in sampling than the other four combined.

Transfer loss is yours to measure. CSI publishes no wastage or loss percentage and we will not invent one — a figure from a blog is not a figure from your pitcher. Weigh the wax in and the candles out across one full batch with a weighing scale. Until you have that number, note that the exact-fit 1,600 g build carries zero grams of margin — the real argument for the 1,700 g build.

The against-interest conclusion, and it costs us money to print. Five scents at 100 units each is an inefficient way to buy fragrance. If the brief allows three scents at roughly 167 candles each on the three cheapest of the five above, the fragrance bill falls from ₹52,470.20 to ₹33,220.40 — British Rose ₹8,413.40, Jasmine ₹10,665.00, Lavender ₹14,142.00, 2,700 g apiece. That is ₹19,249.80 less for the same 500 candles, ₹66.44 of fragrance per candle instead of ₹104.94, and three sample sets instead of five (₹302.42 against ₹1,317.42). We sell the same 8 kg either way and earn ₹19,249.80 less on it. But be honest about where the saving comes from: almost all of it is the scent mix, not the scent count. Keep Coffee Blast in a three-scent set and the bill is ₹57,115.40 — ₹4,645.20 more than the five-scent order. Fewer scents is cheaper only if the ones you drop are the dear ones.
Lead time, and the five-scent stock problem
CSI publishes no dispatch or delivery time and this page will not quote one. Confirm current lead time on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926 before you build a schedule, and again before you give a client a date. And specific to five scents: all five oils may not be in stock at the same moment, and a part-shipped fragrance order stalls a batch as effectively as a late one. Checking stock across the whole set is your job, not ours — but we will answer the message. CSI publishes no minimum order quantity, no discount slab, no rate card and no credit term; the ladder on each product page is the price.
Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. On a page like this one the commercially convenient answer would be "round up to two kilograms a scent, you'll use it". We sell the oil, and we have just spent a full section showing that the advice costs you ₹12,551.80 and parks 2 kg on a shelf. We have also printed the oils where our own kilogram bottle is no cheaper — or a rupee dearer — than two 500 g bottles, because a supplier who lets you believe the big pack is always the better buy is not a supplier you should keep.

Every price, pack size and ceiling on this page is taken from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing and specification always take precedence. The fragrance ladder across all 92 oils runs at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg — there is no fragrance pack above 1 kg, and not every oil stocks every rung. The wax ladder runs 500 g / 1 kg / 5 kg / 10 kg, plus Natural Soy Pearl Wax's 50 kg; there is no 25 kg pack of anything. The 13%, 10% and 13% figures are the stated maximum fragrance loads for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 and Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 respectively — formulation limits set by the wax maker, not regulatory limits, and not interchangeable between waxes. The other thirteen waxes publish no ceiling.

CSI publishes no wastage figure, no dispatch or delivery time, no minimum order quantity, no discount slab, no rate card and no credit term, so none appears on this page. For stock confirmation across multiple scents, GST invoicing, MSDS or IFRA documentation, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a 2 kg or 5 kg fragrance bottle so I do not have to combine packs?
No. Across all 92 fragrance oils the ladder stops at 1 kg. There is no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance pack in the catalogue, so any quantity above a kilogram is bought as multiples plus smaller bottles — 1.6 kg is 1 kg + 500 g + 100 g, or 1 kg + six 100 g. The website price does not fall automatically above 1 kg. If you are buying at real volume you are welcome to ask on WhatsApp, but we publish no slab or rate card and you should not assume a discount exists.
Should I just buy two kilograms per scent and keep the spare?
Only for scents you will pour again. Two kilograms across five scents costs ₹65,022.00 against ₹52,470.20 for exact-fit builds — ₹12,551.80 more, leaving 2 kg idle, worth ₹13,004.40 at kilogram rates and equal to 125 candles. For a scent in your permanent range that is stock at your best rate. For a one-off wedding or corporate palette it is money on a shelf. Decide per scent, and for the one-offs buy 1 kg + 500 g + 2 × 100 g instead — 1,700 g, roughly six candles of margin, ₹3,391.20 across all five.
Is 8% of the candle or 8% of the wax?
Both conventions are in use, which is exactly the problem. 8% of finished weight on a 200 g candle is 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax — 1.6 kg per scent, 8 kg across five. 8% of the wax is 14.8 g of oil and 185.2 g of wax — 1.48 kg per scent, 7.4 kg across five. The gap on this order is 600 g of oil. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks states its 13% ceiling as a percentage of total wax weight, so the two framings exist inside CSI's own catalogue. Write your recipe in grams per candle and the ambiguity disappears.
Which of my five scents should run at which percentage?
CSI publishes no per-scent load recommendation and we will not invent one — the right load for each oil in your jar, your wax and your climate is a figure you establish by pouring and burning. What is published is the ceiling per wax: 13% on Luxury Soy Chunks, 10% on CSI 464, 13% on CSI 468, and nothing on the remaining thirteen waxes. If you do run different loads on different scents, compute each scent separately — an 8% average across 10%, 8%, 8%, 8% and 6% gives the right grand total and the wrong bottle count on both ends.
How much buffer should I add for spillage and transfer loss?
Your own measured figure, not a number from a blog. CSI publishes no wastage percentage. Weigh the wax and oil into one full batch, weigh the finished candles out, and the difference is your transfer loss on your equipment. Until then, the practical answer is one extra 100 g bottle per scent — about six candles of margin each — because the exact-fit 1,600 g build leaves you literally zero grams spare for a remake or a retained sample. Wick and jar buffers are separate decisions: wicks are ₹5.90 each flat, so buy spares freely; glass is ₹29.50 and up, so buy to a measured breakage rate.
How long will five fragrance oils take to arrive?
We do not publish a dispatch or delivery time and this page will not quote one — confirm current lead time on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926 before you build a schedule. The point worth planning around on a five-scent order is that all five oils may not be in stock at the same moment. Check availability across the whole set, not scent by scent, before you commit to a client date. Reading how early to order for a festive window is worth ten minutes if the deadline is Diwali.
Five scents, 100 each, 8% load
1.6 kg per scent. 8 kg total. 92 kg of wax. Stop before the second kilogram.
92 fragrance oils published in 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg — nothing above a kilogram, and not every oil stocks every rung. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 flat at ₹507.40/kg, Eco Candle Wicks flat at ₹5.90 each, Salsa jars at ₹29.50 in hundreds. GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation on request. About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. Product recommendations reflect the CSI range; the pack-rounding arithmetic, the leftover valuation and the per-scent decision rule apply to any supplier whose fragrance ladder stops below your requirement.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me. They were left on Lavender Fragrance Oil (Priyanka Purohit), British Rose (Arshad Shaikh), Jasmine Fragrance Oil (S.A.), Gilli Mitti (Patchouli) (Renu), Woody Oud (Renam Dhoundiyal) and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (Jaya Sawlani). None of the six describes a multi-scent bulk purchase; they are product-quality reviews and are not evidence about ordering five scents at volume. S.A. is not recorded as a verified buyer and carries no badge. Three longer reviews are shortened with an ellipsis and are otherwise unedited.

All arithmetic assumes a 200 g finished candle: at 8% of finished weight 16 g oil and 184 g wax, at 10% 20 g and 180 g, at 6% 12 g and 188 g; at 8% of the wax, 14.8 g oil and 185.2 g wax. Fragrance ceilings of 13% (Luxury Soy Wax Chunks), 10% (Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464) and 13% (Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468) are the wax makers' stated formulation limits, not regulatory limits; the other thirteen waxes publish none. CSI publishes no wastage or loss percentage, no dispatch or delivery time, no minimum order quantity, no discount slab, no rate card and no credit term, and none is stated on this page.
