A small candle business lives on cash flow. Buying 10 kg because it feels professional can freeze money you need for jars and oils. Here is the step-up path by monthly volume.

A 10 kg bag makes 54 candles of 200 g. If you sell 30 a month, it sits for nearly two months — through a summer, that is a storage risk and cash you could have spent on jars and oils.
Delivery charges on small orders: consolidate the basket, not the wax
Manasa GN gave Premium Coconut Soy Wax five stars and still wrote: "the delivery charges are very high which is restricting me." That is an honest description of a problem every small candle business meets. On a small order, delivery can be a large share of what you pay, and it is worth planning around rather than resenting.
Why buying more wax is the wrong fix
The instinct is to buy a bigger bag so the delivery counts for more. On most CSI soy waxes a bigger bag is not cheaper per kilogram, so all you gain is stock. A 10 kg bag of CSI 464 at ₹5,074.00 makes 54 candles of 200 g; at 20 sales a month that is well over two months of wax, paid for today.
Consolidate the whole basket instead
A small maker usually buys wax, oils, wicks and often jars. CSI's catalogue carries all of them, alongside dyes and packaging. Put next month's wax, the oils for next month's scents and next month's wicks into one order rather than three. You spend the same on goods and pay delivery once. Delivery charges are not published in this guide, so ask on WhatsApp with your pin code and a draft basket.
A worked month for a 20-candle business
Twenty 200 g candles need 3.68 kg of wax (20 × 184 g), about 3.9 kg with the 5% allowance. One 5 kg bag of CSI 464 at ₹2,537.00 covers it with room for a couple of test pours. The same twenty candles need 320 g of oil (20 × 16 g): four 100 g bottles weighted towards your best seller, not a kilogram of each scent. Twenty wicks at ₹5.90 each complete the basket.
When a bigger bag is also the right bag
Consolidating into a larger wax pack does pay on the two waxes with a real break. Natural Soy Pearl Wax and CSI 468 are cheaper per kilogram from 5 kg, so if either is your main wax, a 5 kg bag is both the better rate and fewer deliveries.
