Where to Order Candle Fragrance Oils in Bulk in Bhubaneswar
शेयर करना
How much oil does a 450-candle gifting order need? At 150 g per candle and a 10% load that is 15 g of oil and 135 g of wax each — 6.75 kg of oil and 60.75 kg of wax. Across three scents, 2.25 kg of oil per scent, which is two 1 kg bottles plus small top-ups.
What does the whole order cost? At listed prices, ₹38,394 of fragrance across Japanese Cherry Blossom, Pomegranate Splash and Smoked Rose Royale, ₹36,593 for 61 kg of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and ₹42,480 for 450 of the 150 gram jars — about ₹1,21,617 of materials bought as whole packs, or ₹243.77 to ₹303.77 a candle depending on the scent.
What is the cheapest way to de-risk it? Buy small first — but the price of doing that varies eightfold by listing. 50 of the 107 fragrance listings sell a bottle of 15 g or less, 29 start at 50 g, 15 start at 100 g. Shortlisting Japanese Cherry Blossom costs ₹104; shortlisting Smoked Rose Royale costs ₹799.
Three risks, three prices
"Is this order too risky?" is not answerable, because a bulk order is not one risk. It is three, and they behave differently: one is bought off, one is calculated away, and one is a habit you either have or acquire. Pricing them separately is what turns a nervous decision into a sequence.
| Risk | How it shows up | What it costs if it lands | What retires it | Cost to retire |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Wrong scent | The cured candle does not smell like the bottle, discolours the wax, or simply does not sell | The whole production quantity of that scent: ₹9,045, ₹10,954 or ₹18,395 on these three | A shortlist bottle, then a burn-test bottle, then a cure and a scored burn | ₹604 to ₹1,598 per scent · ₹2,850 for three |
| 2. Wrong quantity | Stranded stock after the window, or a mid-run reorder at small-bottle prices | A 500 g shortfall bought in 50 g bottles costs up to 20% more per gram; stranded stock costs its full price | Candle count × grams per candle, a 5% allowance, and a written reorder floor | Nothing but ten minutes |
| 3. Wrong handling | Sweating candles, condensation rings on cold glass, a cure that never finishes before the deadline | Rework on a whole batch in the week you can least afford it | Keeping bottles sealed, decanting per run, cure days built into the schedule | Nothing but discipline |
Notice which one is expensive. The scent risk is the only one with a price tag, and the price is small relative to what it protects — ₹2,850 against ₹38,394. The other two cost nothing to retire and are the two most commonly skipped, because they do not feel like purchases and therefore never make it onto the order.
What finding out actually costs
Every guide says test before you buy in bulk. Almost none of them says what testing costs, which matters because on CSI's range that price varies by a factor of eight depending on the listing. The smallest live bottle is 15 g or less on 50 of the 107 fragrance listings, 50 g on 29, 100 g on 15, and above 100 g or nothing at all on 13. So "buy a small one first" is cheap advice for half the range and a real decision for the rest.
| Scent | Shortlist bottle | Burn-test bottle | Cost to find out | Production oil it protects | Insurance as % of the commitment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Japanese Cherry Blossom | 15 gm ₹104 | 100 gm ₹500 | ₹604 | ₹10,954 for 2.25 kg | 5.5% |
| Pomegranate Splash | 50g ₹249 — no 15 g rung | 100g ₹399 | ₹648 | ₹9,045 for 2.25 kg | 7.2% |
| Smoked Rose Royale | 100g ₹799 — nothing smaller listed | 100g ₹799 | ₹1,598 | ₹18,395 for 2.3 kg | 8.7% |
| All three | ₹2,850 | ₹38,394 | 7.4% |
Two conclusions follow. First, a listing with no small bottle should be tested earlier, not later — the whole point of a hundred-rupee bottle is that you can afford to be wrong in August; a ₹799 bottle needs the same decision made with more lead time. Second, the insurance percentage rises as the oil gets dearer, which is the opposite of what you would want, so the premium tier of the range deserves the longest testing runway of all.
450 gift candles, in packs and rupees
This order is a 150 g jar candle poured at a 10% load, which is the shape a hamper or gifting order usually takes here: small enough to sit in a box with other things, rich enough to justify a gift price. At 10% each candle is 135 g of wax and 15 g of oil. Load is calculated as a share of the finished candle, the convention used across this series.
| Line | Quantity for 450 | Packs to buy | Cost | Per candle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Japanese Cherry Blossom | 2.25 kg (150 candles) | 2 × 1 kg + 2 × 100 gm + 1 × 50 gm | ₹10,954 | ₹72.63 of oil |
| Pomegranate Splash | 2.25 kg (150 candles) | 2 × 1kg + 2 × 100g + 1 × 50g | ₹9,045 | ₹59.99 of oil |
| Smoked Rose Royale | 2.3 kg (150 candles + spare) | 2 × 1kg + 3 × 100g — no 50 g rung | ₹18,395 | ₹119.99 of oil |
| Luxury Soy Wax Chunks | 60.75 kg | 6 × 10 kg + 1 × 1 kg (61 kg) | ₹36,593 | ₹80.99 of wax |
| Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid | 450 jars | 22 × pack of 20 + 1 × pack of 10 | ₹42,480 | ₹94.40 |
| Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) | 450 | 1 × 500 wicks | ₹2,950 | ₹5.90 |
| Wick stickers | 450 | 12 sheets of 40 | ₹1,200 | ₹2.50 |
| Order total | 450 candles | ≈₹1,21,617 | ₹243.77 – ₹303.77 |
The per-candle spread is the number to act on. The same 150 g candle costs ₹243.77 with Pomegranate Splash and ₹303.77 with Smoked Rose Royale — a difference of ₹60 that comes entirely from the oil, because the wax, jar, wick and sticker are identical. Fragrance is 24.6% of the cheapest version and 39.5% of the dearest. If all three go into one hamper at one price, the rose candle is being subsidised by the other two, and you should know it deliberately rather than by accident.

Four payments, and what each one retires
Sequenced by which risk each payment removes rather than by what is convenient to buy. The gap between payment two and payment three is the cure, and it is the only part of this schedule that cannot be compressed.
The third risk: a coastal workroom
Bhubaneswar sits close enough to the coast for humidity to be a working condition rather than a season, and the monsoon months turn it into the dominant variable in a workshop. None of this changes what you buy; all of it changes how much of it you have open at once, and when you pour.
| What you see | What it usually is | What it is often blamed on | The habit that answers it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beads of oil on a cured candle's surface | Too much fragrance for the wax to hold, or a pour into a warm room followed by a temperature swing | "A bad batch of oil" | Stay inside the page's stated load, cure with lids on in a closed carton, and pour when the room is at its most stable |
| A ring of condensation inside the jar before the wax sets | Damp air meeting cold glass | The jar supplier | Warm and dry the jars, keep them boxed until the pour, and never pour into glass straight off a cold floor |
| The throw is quiet on day four and fine on day fourteen | The cure has not finished | The oil, and then the wick, and then the wax | Score at day 7 and day 14, never day 4 — especially in the monsoon when everything takes longer to feel right |
| Half-used bottles that smell flatter than the new one | Repeated opening in humid air | Shelf life | Decant what a run needs into a smaller bottle, keep the main bottle closed, and label the date it was opened |
One honest caveat that matters more here than anywhere else: no CSI fragrance page states a shelf life, an expiry, a storage temperature or a storage instruction — not one of the 107. So nothing above is a published specification, and anyone who quotes you a shelf figure for these oils is inventing it. What the pages do give you is loads, cure guidance and, on some, a discolouration position; those are the numbers to plan from. Everything else is ordinary material care: fewer bottles open, shorter time open, and a label with a date on it.
The seasonal consequence for a bulk buyer is about sequence, not quantity. Bhubaneswar's gifting weight lands in the autumn and early winter — the Durga Puja weeks, then Diwali on 8 November, then Kartik Purnima, then Christmas and the new year — with the hot months and the monsoon in between. If your production has to happen through the wet months, plan more cure days rather than more fragrance, and keep only the bottle you are pouring from open. The Raja and high-summer windows behave differently again: a cooler, fresher scent like Pomegranate Splash or Cucumber Green Tea! carries a warm room better than a heavy rose does.
Above a kilo: multiply, then ask
On all 107 fragrance listings, 1 kg is the largest pack CSI lists. There is no 5 kg or 10 kg option to click, so a multi-kilo requirement is bottles at the listed rate — and that listed rate is a ceiling, the most you would pay if you simply added bottles to a cart. What a quote for a larger or repeating volume comes to is a separate conversation, and this page will not guess it.
| Oil | 1 kg | 2 kg | 3 kg | 5 kg | 150 g candles at 10% from 5 kg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cucumber Green Tea! | ₹3,327.60 | ₹6,655.20 | ₹9,982.80 | ₹16,638 | 333 |
| Pomegranate Splash | ₹3,999 | ₹7,998 | ₹11,997 | ₹19,995 | 333 |
| Japanese Cherry Blossom | ₹4,842 | ₹9,684 | ₹14,526 | ₹24,210 | 333 |
| Smoked Rose Royale | ₹7,999 | ₹15,998 | ₹23,997 | ₹39,995 | 333 |
Nothing in that table gets cheaper as you move right, because CSI publishes no volume discount schedule on fragrance oil. It also publishes no minimum order, no trade account and no sample-pack product, so the quote line is not a gate you have to pass — it is simply where quantities above the listed packs, GST invoicing and documentation requests are handled.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and has no branch, stockist or warehouse in Bhubaneswar. Telling you to spend ₹2,850 on small bottles before spending ₹38,394 on kilos is not the fastest way for us to take a large order. It is the way a large order gets repeated, because a maker who burn-tests three scents and sells all three comes back next season, and a maker who commits blind and gets one wrong often does not come back at all.
Every price, pack rung and stated figure here comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Loads, cure windows and discolouration positions are quoted only where a product page states them; where a page is silent — Smoked Rose Royale states no candle load and no flash point, Cucumber Green Tea! states neither either — this guide says so rather than borrowing a figure from a similar scent. No CSI fragrance page states a shelf life, an expiry or a storage instruction, and none is implied here. Nothing about humidity, sweating or condensation on this page is a published CSI specification; it is ordinary material behaviour you can verify in your own workroom.

Find-out cost: ₹104 + ₹500 = ₹604, ₹249 + ₹399 = ₹648, ₹799 + ₹799 = ₹1,598; total ₹2,850, which is 7.4% of ₹38,394. Other lines: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 1 kg ₹599, 5 kg ₹2,995, 10 kg ₹5,999 — 6 × 10 kg + 1 × 1 kg = ₹36,593 for 61 kg (₹80.99 of wax per candle at the 10 kg rate of ₹0.5999/g; page states 8–13%, 10% recommended, add 80–90°C, pour 70–80°C); Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) pack of 10 ₹944 and pack of 20 ₹1,888 — 22 × 20 + 1 × 10 = ₹42,480 for 450 jars at ₹94.40 each, page states a 150 g fill capacity and hot pour to 85°C; Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 500 wicks ₹2,950 (₹5.90 each); Candle Wick Stickers 40 for ₹100 (₹2.50 each), 12 sheets ₹1,200. Per-candle materials: ₹243.77 with Pomegranate Splash, ₹256.42 with Japanese Cherry Blossom, ₹303.77 with Smoked Rose Royale; fragrance is 24.6% to 39.5% of that. A three-candle box of one of each is ₹803.96. Order total approximately ₹1,21,617. Fragrance load is calculated as a share of the finished candle (150 g at 10% = 135 g wax + 15 g oil); several of these pages express their percentage as a share of total wax weight instead. The 450-candle run size, the three-scent split, the six-test-jar burn layout and the 5% handling allowance are this guide's planning assumptions, not CSI figures. 1 kg is the largest fragrance pack listed on all 107 listings; no volume discount schedule, minimum order quantity, trade price list, delivery time, courier or shipping rate is published. No CSI fragrance page states a shelf life, expiry or storage instruction. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November 2026. Cure of 14–21 days for soy containers is standard practice, not a CSI specification.
