Spending the oil budget that comes with 10 kg of melt wax
A 10 kg melt order is really two orders: the wax, which is simple, and the oil, which is where the decisions and most of the money are. At 10% fragrance, 10 kg of wax needs a little over 1 kg of oil. How you split that oil across scents decides whether the order works.
Choosing the wax bag
Soy Pillar Wax at 10 kg is ₹6,000.00, the same per kilogram as its smaller packs. If your trials favour Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, note that two 5 kg bags at ₹5,990.00 cost less than the 10 kg bag at ₹5,999.00, and two bags let you keep one sealed while you use the other. Paraffin pellets are listed only to 1 kg, so a 10 kg paraffin order needs a WhatsApp quote.
Splitting the oil
At 10% of each batch, every 100 g bottle of oil scents a 1 kg batch: 900 g of wax and 100 g of oil. So 10 kg of wax needs roughly eleven 100 g bottles' worth, however you divide it.
One sensible split is a proven best seller in a 1 kg bottle, with one or two new scents in 100 g bottles to test. For example, Citrus Lemon at 1 kg for ₹2,832.00, which states 10–15% for melts, plus 100 g of Dark Vanilla at ₹790.00. That is 1.1 kg of oil, enough for the whole bag at 10%, with most of the wax going to the scent you already know sells.
Ten scents in one 10 kg order. About 1 kg of wax per scent sounds like variety, but it gives you small runs of everything and no depth in the scents customers reorder. Put most of the wax behind two or three scents.
Timing the bag against the calendar
Diwali falls on 8 November 2026 and Navratri begins on 11 October. If this order is your festive stock, pour and rest your melts well before the first date, and plan CSI's 10% festive buffer on top of your expected sales. CSI does not quote delivery times, so ask on WhatsApp for your pincode before relying on a date.
Before the full bag goes in
Pour one 1 kg test batch of each scent first. Check release, sweating after a week, and throw in a warmer. Only then pour the rest. A scent that fails at 1 kg costs you one batch; the same failure at 5 kg costs half the order.
