Candle Business Guides · Bergamot
Exactly one CSI listing carries bergamot in its name — Bergamot Amber, at ₹5,437 the kilogram — and this guide gives its page in full rather than padding the shelf out. It then does the more useful job: finding every in-stock oil whose own stated top note begins with bergamot, and pricing each one per candle so a buyer can choose on evidence instead of on a search result.
₹5,437
for 1 kg of Bergamot Amber, the only bergamot-named fragrance oil in the range — ₹5.44 a gram, ₹86.99 of oil in a 200 g candle at 8%, and 62 such candles per kilo · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How many bergamot fragrance oils does CSI stock? One by name — Bergamot Amber Fragrance Oil, listed at 15 gm ₹105.02 through to 1 kg ₹5,437. There is no plain "bergamot" single note, and this guide will not invent one.

Which other oils actually lead on bergamot? Five more in-stock pages put bergamot first in their stated top notes: Solar Bloom ("Bergamot, Sun-Kissed Citrus"), White Royal Oud ("Bergamot, saffron"), Royal Oud ("Bergamot, Pink Pepper"), Lavish RAF ("Bergamot, Grapefruit, Pink Pepper") and Ban Magnet ("Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cardamom").

What does a bergamot candle cost in oil? With Bergamot Amber in a 200 g candle at 8% — 16 g — ₹86.99; at 10%, ₹108.74. The bergamot-led alternatives run from ₹102.40 (Royal Oud) to ₹134.40 (Ban Magnet) per candle at 8%.

Does the Bergamot Amber page publish a flash point? No. It publishes loads, cure times and a full note pyramid, but no flash point and no vanillin figure. Where a page is silent, this guide says so and points you to the SDS on request rather than borrowing a number from a similar scent.
The short answer
If you want a bergamot candle, buy Bergamot Amber: ₹5,437 a kilo, stated soy load 6–10%, paraffin 6–8%, wax melts up to 12%, soy cure 48–72 hours. It is the only listing where bergamot is the product rather than an ingredient.
Know what you are actually buying: its own page describes a heart of "Warm amber, subtle floral undertones" and a base of "Woody musk, smooth vanilla". This is a bergamot opening on an amber body — not a single-note citrus, and it will not behave like one after the first hour.
Bergamot is a supporting note far more often than a lead: thirty of CSI's fragrance pages name it in the top notes and only seven put it first. If bergamot is a nuance you want rather than a headline, you are already buying it inside Orange no.3, Juicy Orange, Tangerine and Grapefruit Oleo.
Bergamot in the CSI range: named once, led seven times, mentioned thirty times 1 NAMED 7 BERGAMOT FIRST IN THE TOP 30 BERGAMOT NAMED SOMEWHERE IN THE TOP NOTES Oil cost in one 200 g candle at 8%, bergamot-led oils only Bergamot Amber ₹86.99 Royal Oud ₹102.40 Solar Bloom ₹119.98 White Royal Oud ₹129.65

Straight answer
Where do I buy bergamot candle fragrance oil in wholesale quantities in India?
For the named product, Bergamot Amber Fragrance Oil at ₹5,437 for 1 kg, which is the largest pack CSI lists on any fragrance oil. Its page states the full ladder — 15 gm ₹105.02, 50 gm ₹280, 100 gm ₹560, 500 gm ₹2,718, 1 kg ₹5,437 — a stated soy load of "6-10%" "of total wax weight" with a 48–72 hour cure, paraffin at "6-8%" with a 24–48 hour cure, wax melts at "Up to 12%", reed diffusers at "10-30%" and room sprays at "8-15%". Its notes are "Sparkling bergamot, zesty citrus" over "Warm amber, subtle floral undertones" onto "Woody musk, smooth vanilla", with the family given as "Citrus / Oriental / Warm". That structure matters commercially: this is a bergamot opening on an amber body, so it behaves less like a top-note citrus than the lemons do. In a 200 g candle at 8% it puts ₹86.99 of oil into the jar, which is ₹41.68 more than Citrus Lemon. If you need bergamot leading a different composition, the in-stock options are Royal Oud at ₹6,400 a kilo, Solar Bloom at ₹7,499, Lavish RAF at ₹7,740, White Royal Oud at ₹8,103 and Ban Magnet at ₹8,400.
One line: there is one bergamot product, it costs ₹5,437 a kilo, and its amber-and-musk base is the reason it sells rather than a compromise on the citrus.
Testing before you commit? Bergamot Amber 15 gm is ₹105.02 and the 100 gm bottle is ₹560 — six 200 g candles at 8%, at ₹89.60 of oil each. The kilo brings that to ₹86.99.

The one bergamot listing, in full

A shelf with one bottle on it is not a thin range. It is a range that has not padded itself out with four versions of the same idea.

Rather than stretch a single product across a page, here is everything Bergamot Amber's own page states, set out so you can formulate from it. Anything the page does not state is marked as not stated — including two fields buyers often assume are always present.

Bergamot Amber Fragrance Oil · stated specification, verbatim
Every published field on the page, and the two that are blank
Field What the page states
Top notes "Sparkling bergamot, zesty citrus - bright, fresh, and immediately elegant"
Heart notes "Warm amber, subtle floral undertones - rich, glowing warmth that balances the citrus"
Base notes "Woody musk, smooth vanilla - cosy, grounding, long-lasting"
Scent family "Citrus / Oriental / Warm"
Character "Sophisticated, harmonious, universally appealing - fresh yet warm"
Soy candle load "Soy Wax 6-10%" · "Of total wax weight" · "Cure time - 48 to 72 hours for best cold and hot throw"
Paraffin candle load "Paraffin Wax 6-8%" · "Cure time - 24 to 48 hours for best performance"
Wax melt load "Wax Melts Up to 12%"
Reed diffuser load "Reed Diffusers 10-30%"
Room spray load "Room Sprays 8-15%" · "Of total spray base"
Dosing guidance "6% Fresh & Light", "8% Balanced … The recommended starting point for most applications and wax types", "10% Warm & Rich"
Flash point Not stated on the page. Request the SDS before you rely on a figure
Vanillin content Not stated on the page. Run a control jar if you pour white or uncoloured wax

The dosing block is the most useful thing on that page and the part most buyers scroll past. It does not simply give a range — it tells you what each end of the range does: at 6% "Bergamot leads - bright, spa-like, and clean", at 8% "Bergamot and amber in perfect harmony", at 10% "Amber comes forward - warmer, richer, more presence". For a business that means one oil can carry two products: a spring or spa candle poured at 6–7%, and an evening or gifting candle poured at 9–10%, from the same kilo, with the difference in character coming from the load rather than from a second purchase.

Two candles from one bottle
Run the numbers on that idea before you dismiss it. One kilogram at 6% is 83 candles of 200 g at ₹65.24 of oil each; the same kilogram at 10% is 50 candles at ₹108.74 each. A collection that offers a "light" and a "rich" version of the same scent gives a customer a reason to buy twice and gives you one SKU to reorder. Test both loads in the same wax and the same vessel before you put either on sale.
Do not expect a single-note bergamot from this bottle. The page is explicit that the heart is amber and the base is woody musk and vanilla, and it says in its own words that "the woody musk and vanilla base ensures this warmth lasts through the full burn". That is a sales point, not a warning — but if your brief is a sharp, uncomplicated bergamot with nothing underneath it, this product will not deliver it and no other CSI listing will either. In that case the honest alternatives are the citrus-led oils where bergamot lifts a lemon or a grapefruit, and they are priced later on this page.

Where else bergamot appears, and how often

Reading every stated note pyramid in the CSI fragrance range in September 2026, bergamot is named in the top notes of thirty product pages, and twenty-six of those have at least one pack in stock. But it is placed first in only seven. That distinction is the whole buying decision, because a note listed third in a top accord is a lift, not a lead — your customer will not describe the candle as bergamot.

Bergamot's position in the stated top notes
What each position means for the candle you will actually sell
Position Example, verbatim What the customer smells Buy it if
Named in the product title Bergamot Amber — "Sparkling bergamot, zesty citrus" A bergamot candle, on a warm amber body You want to put the word bergamot on a label
First in the stated top Solar Bloom — "Bergamot, Sun-Kissed Citrus"; White Royal Oud — "Bergamot, saffron" A bergamot opening leading into something else entirely You want the bergamot lift inside a different story
Second or third in the top Orange no.3 — "Blood Orange, Bitter Orange, Bergamot" An orange candle with a refined edge Bergamot is a quality you want, not a name you need
Inside a fruity or spiced accord Fallen Leaves — "Crisp Apple, Bergamot, Spicy Cinnamon" An apple-and-spice candle You are shopping for the other notes, not for bergamot
Named only under "Blends Well With" Eucalyptus Spearmint lists bergamot as a blending partner Nothing — it is not in the composition Never, if bergamot is the brief

A few of the pages that name bergamot are designer-inspired compositions sold under third-party-derived descriptions. This guide does not name those brands, and a candle brand that markets against them takes on a risk that a fragrance note never justifies. Where such an oil is genuinely the best fit for a brief, buy it, describe it by its own structure — the notes, the load, the cure — and leave the comparison out of your copy. The same principle runs through how to choose a reliable fragrance oil supplier.

Six bergamot-led oils, priced per candle

These are the in-stock listings whose stated top note begins with bergamot, with the largest listed pack, the price per gram, and the oil cost inside a 200 g candle at 8% and at 10%. The point of the table is not to rank them — they are completely different fragrances — but to show what a bergamot opening costs across six very different compositions.

Bergamot first in the stated top · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Largest listed pack, per gram, and oil cost per 200 g candle at 8% and 10%
Oil Stated top (verbatim) Largest listed pack Per gram @ 8% (16 g) @ 10% (20 g)
Bergamot Amber "Sparkling bergamot, zesty citrus" 1 kg ₹5,437 ₹5.44 ₹86.99 ₹108.74
Royal Oud "Bergamot, Pink Pepper - a bright, spiced citrus opening" 1 kg ₹6,400 ₹6.40 ₹102.40 ₹128
Solar Bloom "Bergamot, Sun-Kissed Citrus - opens bright and slightly luminous" 1kg ₹7,499 ₹7.50 ₹119.98 ₹149.98
Lavish RAF "Bergamot, Grapefruit, Pink Pepper" 1 kg ₹7,740 ₹7.74 ₹123.84 ₹154.80
White Royal Oud "Bergamot, saffron - bright citrus warmth, refined and immediately sophisticated" 1kg ₹8,103 ₹8.10 ₹129.65 ₹162.06
Ban Magnet "Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cardamom - opens with a rush of fresh citrus meeting warm spice" 1 kg ₹8,400 ₹8.40 ₹134.40 ₹168
Worked out above: per gram = largest listed pack price ÷ its grams; per candle at 8% = per gram × 16, at 10% = per gram × 20. Bergamot Amber ₹5,437 ÷ 1,000 = ₹5.437 × 16 = ₹86.99 · Royal Oud ₹6.40 × 16 = ₹102.40 · Solar Bloom ₹7.499 × 16 = ₹119.98 · Lavish RAF ₹7.74 × 16 = ₹123.84 · White Royal Oud ₹8.103 × 16 = ₹129.65 · Ban Magnet ₹8.40 × 16 = ₹134.40. Royal Oud's 100 g pack is currently sold out; its 500 g and 1 kg packs are in stock.

And here is the set where bergamot is present but not leading — worth pricing because several are cheaper than every oil above and because a buyer whose real brief is "bright, refined citrus" may be better served here. Grapefruit Oleo states "Pink Grapefruit, Citrus Zest, Bergamot" and works out at ₹54.56 per candle at 8% from its in-stock 100 g bottle at ₹341 — though note that its 50 g and 1 kg packs are both sold out, so it cannot currently be bought at production scale. Fallen Leaves at ₹4,248 a kilo gives ₹67.97, Mint Sandalwood at ₹4,999 gives ₹79.98, Juicy Orange at ₹7,499 gives ₹119.98, Neroli Signature Grade at ₹7,599 gives ₹121.58, Orange no.3 at ₹8,032 gives ₹128.51 and Tangerine at ₹11,999 gives ₹191.98.

Do not buy a sold-out pack size as a plan. Grapefruit Oleo is the clearest example on this page: the 100 g bottle is in stock at ₹341, but the 50 g and the 1 kg are not. That is fine for a sample and impossible as a production line — a scent you cannot reorder in the size you pour is a one-off, however well it burns. Before you build a SKU around any oil, check that the pack you will reorder is the pack that is actually available, and ask on WhatsApp when a sold-out size is expected rather than assuming.

The three worth a kilo

Three of the six justify a full kilo for a business that wants bergamot at the front of a candle. Each card lists every pack, the price per kilo each works out at, and how many 200 g candles at 8% the pack pours — a 15 gm row shows zero because 15 g is under the 16 g a single candle needs.

Its own page calls 8% "the recommended starting point for most applications and wax types". Its ladder is unusually flat above 50 g — ₹5.60 a gram at both 50 gm and 100 gm, ₹5.44 at 500 gm and ₹5.44 at 1 kg — so two 500 gm packs at ₹5,436 and one kilo at ₹5,437 are a rupee apart. Its page states the top as "Bergamot, Sun-Kissed Citrus - opens bright and slightly luminous, like sunlight hitting petals in the late afternoon" and adds that "Bergamot gives it a refined citrus warmth rather than sharp acidity". The CSI principle
One good listing beats five near-identical ones. What a buyer needs is not more bergamot — it is to know exactly where the bergamot stops and something else begins.
Bergamot Amber's page tells you that at 6% the bergamot leads and at 10% the amber comes forward. That single sentence is worth more to a production plan than a shelf of bottles with the same word on the front and nothing underneath it.
Costing a run? Bergamot Amber 1 kg ₹5,437 pours 62 candles of 200 g at 8%, or 50 at 10%. Two kilos list at ₹10,874 and three at ₹16,311 — one kilogram is the largest pack listed, so anything above that is a quote.

Wax, load and what the pages do not publish

Bergamot Amber's soy band of 6–10% sits comfortably inside every CSI container wax's stated ceiling, so for once the wax is not the constraint. What matters more here is the pour temperature, because the amber and vanilla in the base behave differently in a coconut-soy blend from the way they behave in a straight soy — and the pages give you the numbers to control that.

Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 ₹650 Up to 13% Melt 50–53°C · pour 58–60°C ₹119.60 ₹206.59
Worked out above: wax per 200 g candle at 8% = 184 g × price per gram — ₹0.399 × 184 = ₹73.42 · ₹0.5074 × 184 = ₹93.36 · ₹0.599 × 184 = ₹110.22 · ₹0.65 × 184 = ₹119.60. The final column adds ₹86.99 of Bergamot Amber. Jars, wicks, dye, lids and labels are excluded.

The gap between the cheapest and dearest of those four is ₹46.18 per candle, against ₹86.99 for the oil itself. In other words, on a bergamot candle the fragrance is the biggest line in the materials bill before the vessel — which is exactly why the 6% and 10% versions of the same scent are worth building into a range. The coconut-soy option matters here too: CSI 468's stated pour range of 58–60°C is markedly lower than the soy waxes', so if you move this oil across waxes, the timing of your pour has to move with it. Which families suit that wax is covered in which fragrance families perform best in coconut-soy wax.

1
Pour three jars at 6%, 8% and 10%Same wax, same vessel, same wick, one variable. At 200 g that is 12 g, 16 g and 20 g of oil against 188 g, 184 g and 180 g of wax. The page predicts what you should find — bergamot leading at the bottom, amber forward at the top — so you are testing a published claim rather than guessing.
2
Add at the wax page's temperature and stir properlyBergamot Amber's page does not publish an add temperature, so use the wax's: 80–90°C for Eco Soy CSI 400 with a two-minute stir, or 80–90°C in and 70–80°C out for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks. Record the actual reading, not the target.
3
Cure 48–72 hours, then again to day 14The page states 48 to 72 hours for soy "for best cold and hot throw". Take your first reading there and a second at day 14, which is standard practice for soy containers. An amber-based citrus usually reads differently across those two points, and knowing which way it moves tells you what to print on the care card.
4
Leave one white jar in daylight for a fortnightThis page states no vanillin figure, so you have no published basis for assuming it will not tone white wax. That is not a warning — it is a blank. One uncoloured control jar on a windowsill answers it for your wax in two weeks. If colour stability is critical to the product, ask for the SDS before you commit to a kilo.
5
Decide the load, then lock itPick 6%, 8% or 10% and write it into the recipe sheet with the wax, the vessel, the wick and the cure. A range that drifts between loads batch to batch produces a scent customers describe as inconsistent, which is the one complaint that no amount of good raw material will fix.

Verifying a bergamot oil before the order

Because there is only one named product, the verification job here is slightly different from the rest of the citrus family: you are not comparing five bergamots, you are deciding whether one composition fits a brief. Work through the page first, then the jar.

What is settled where
Page, burn test, and the questions nobody can answer in advance
Question On the Bergamot Amber page? In your burn test? Note
What load can I use in soy? Yes — "Soy Wax 6-10%", of total wax weight No A formulation limit for the wax, not a regulatory one
What does each load smell like? Yes — 6% bergamot-led, 8% balanced, 10% amber forward Yes, and this is the point of pouring three Rare on a product page; use it
How long to cure? Yes — 48–72 hours soy, 24–48 hours paraffin Yes, by re-reading at day 14 14–21 days is standard practice for soy containers
What is the flash point? No — not stated No Request the SDS; do not borrow a figure from another oil
Will it tone white wax? No vanillin figure stated Yes, with a control jar over a fortnight A blank is information: test rather than assume
How strong is the throw? Only in prose, not as a measurement Yes, for your jar and wick No throw data is published for any CSI oil

On documentation: the page uses IFRA language in describing body-product use, and IFRA itself is simply a set of industry usage standards for fragrance materials by application. What this guide will not do is claim that a certificate exists for this oil, quote an amendment or category number, or generalise a statement from one page across the range. If a stockist or a marketplace asks you for paperwork before listing a bergamot candle, request it by name on WhatsApp, and check what arrives against what was asked for.

A range with one bergamot has made a decision. A range with six has left the decision to you, and charged you for the privilege of testing all of them.

Above 1 kg, and the honest gaps

Three things a wholesale buyer should know before planning a bergamot line. One kilogram is the largest listed pack on Bergamot Amber and on every other fragrance oil at CSI. No volume discount is published on the page — its per-gram price is flat from 500 gm upward. And no minimum order quantity is published anywhere, so the 15 gm bottle at ₹105.02 is genuinely the floor if you want it to be.

If you are still sizing the run, how much fragrance oil is needed for 500 candles does the arithmetic, and the citrus purchase sequence as a whole is set out in buy citrus fragrance oils for candle making.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials; it does not make finished candles and it does not manufacture the oils it stocks. The most useful thing a supplier can do on a page like this is admit the size of the shelf. There is one bergamot-named fragrance oil in the range, not a family of them, and a guide that pretended otherwise would waste the time of the person it is meant to help. What we can do instead is publish that one product's page in full and find the honest alternatives by reading every other stated pyramid.

Every price and pack here comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, which is always authoritative on current pricing and availability. Notes, loads, cure windows and dosing guidance are quoted in the pages' own words. Bergamot Amber's page states no flash point and no vanillin content, and this guide neither supplies one nor implies one exists. Counts of how many pages name bergamot are a reading of the stated top notes across the range on that date. No throw measurement, burn-test result or shelf-life figure is published for any CSI oil, so none appears here.

Frequently asked questions

Does CSI sell a pure bergamot fragrance oil?
Not a single-note one. The one listing that carries the name is Bergamot Amber Fragrance Oil, whose page states a top of "Sparkling bergamot, zesty citrus", a heart of "Warm amber, subtle floral undertones" and a base of "Woody musk, smooth vanilla". So the bergamot is the opening rather than the whole composition. If a sharp single-note bergamot is the brief, no product in the range delivers it, and this guide will not pretend one does.
What is the wholesale price of bergamot fragrance oil in India?
At CSI in September 2026, ₹5,437 for 1 kg of Bergamot Amber — ₹5.44 a gram, or ₹86.99 of oil inside a 200 g candle at an 8% load and ₹108.74 at 10%. The full ladder is 15 gm ₹105.02, 50 gm ₹280, 100 gm ₹560, 500 gm ₹2,718 and 1 kg ₹5,437. One kilogram is the largest listed pack, so larger requirements are assembled from listed kilos or quoted on WhatsApp.
What fragrance load should I use for Bergamot Amber in soy wax?
The page states "Soy Wax 6-10%" of total wax weight, with a cure of 48 to 72 hours, and calls 8% "the recommended starting point for most applications and wax types". It also describes what each end does: at 6% "Bergamot leads - bright, spa-like, and clean", at 10% "Amber comes forward - warmer, richer, more presence". For paraffin it states 6–8% with a 24–48 hour cure. Always stay inside your wax's stated ceiling as well.
What is the flash point of bergamot fragrance oil?
The Bergamot Amber page does not state one, and this guide will not supply a number from a different product. Across the CSI range only eighteen fragrance pages publish a measured flash point; many others carry a threshold line about suitability for alcohol-based products, which is not a measured value and must not be treated as one. If your process or your insurer needs a figure, request the SDS on WhatsApp before you place the order.
Which fragrance oils have bergamot as the top note?
Reading the stated pyramids in September 2026, bergamot appears in the top notes of thirty CSI fragrance pages, and is placed first in seven. The in-stock ones that lead on it are Bergamot Amber, Royal Oud, Solar Bloom, Lavish RAF, White Royal Oud and Ban Magnet. Where it sits second or third — Orange no.3, Juicy Orange, Tangerine, Grapefruit Oleo, Neroli Signature Grade, Mint Sandalwood — it lifts the composition rather than defining it.
Is Bergamot Amber good for reed diffusers as well as candles?
Its page states loads for five formats: candles at 6–10% in soy and 6–8% in paraffin, wax melts up to 12%, reed diffusers 10–30% and room sprays 8–15% of total spray base. It also suggests pairing with a lift-type diffuser base to let the bergamot lead or a longevity base to bring the amber forward. Diffuser bases are listed separately in the reed diffuser base collection; test at the lower end of any range first.

Solar Bloom states "Recommended load - candles 8-10% soy wax" and a 48–72 hour cure. White Royal Oud states its pyramid as quoted. Wax specifications as published: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks up to 13% (8–13%, 10% recommended), add 80–90°C, pour 70–80°C; CSI 464 up to 10%, page states melt and pour 80–90°C; CSI 468 up to 13%, melt 50–53°C, pour 58–60°C; Eco Soy CSI 400 add fragrance at 80–90°C (85°C) and stir 2 minutes. Loads are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Candle maths assumes fragrance load as a percentage of finished candle weight (200 g at 8% = 184 g wax + 16 g oil; at 6% = 188 g + 12 g; at 10% = 180 g + 20 g). Per-candle oil figures are per gram × 16 or × 20; the 6% figure is ₹5.437 × 12 = ₹65.24. Candles per kilo = 1,000 ÷ 16 = 62 at 8%, 1,000 ÷ 20 = 50 at 10%, 1,000 ÷ 12 = 83 at 6%. Counts of bergamot mentions are a reading of the stated top notes across CSI's 107 fragrance-oil pages on the date shown.
