Lemon Candle Fragrance Oil Wholesale in India
Share
Which two are actually called lemon? Only Citrus Lemon and Zesty Lemon. Citronella's page opens "Top: Lemon, Lemongrass", Verbena's states "Crisp lemony verbena with herbal undertones", and Lemongrass and Lime opens on "Zesty lime, fresh lemongrass". Four of the six are lemon by composition, not by name.
What does one lemon candle cost in oil? In a 200 g candle at 8% — 16 g — ₹45.31, ₹46.26, ₹54.40, ₹75.52 and ₹83.20 respectively at kilo pricing. At 10% each figure rises by a quarter, to ₹56.64, ₹57.82, ₹68, ₹94.40 and ₹104.
Which lemon pages publish a flash point? Two. Verbena states 200°C and Citronella states 270°F. Citrus Lemon and Lemongrass and Lime publish none, and Zesty Lemon says explicitly that its flash point is "Available on request / SDS". No number is borrowed here from a similar scent.
The six lemon listings, page by page
Search the CSI catalogue for lemon and two products come back. Read the stated notes across the whole fragrance range and six listings qualify: two named lemons, a citronella whose stated top note is lemon, a verbena described as lemony, a lime-and-lemongrass blend, and one pure lemon essential oil. Below is what each one is, what pack sizes exist, and — importantly for anyone building a wholesale order — whether the pages publish enough for you to formulate from them.
| Listing | Why it is on this shelf | Listed packs | 1 kg price | Publishes a soy load? | Publishes a flash point? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Citrus Lemon | Named lemon; lemon and lime lead the stated top | 15 gm, 50 gm, 100 gm, 500 gm, 1 kg | ₹2,832 | Yes — "6-10% for soy wax candles" | No |
| Citronella | Stated top note is "Lemon, Lemongrass" | 15 gm, 50 gm, 100 gm, 500 gm, 1 kg | ₹2,891 | Yes — "up to 10% for a strong throw" | Yes — "Flash Point: 270°F" |
| Zesty Lemon | Named lemon; "Fresh Lemon Peel, Citrus Zest" | 15g, 50g, 100g, 500g, 1kg | ₹3,400 | Yes — "Recommended load - soy Up to 10%" | No — "Available on request / SDS" |
| 100% Pure Lemon Essential Oil | Lemon by name, but an essential oil, not a fragrance oil | 15 gm, 50 gm, 100 gm, 500 gm, 1 kg | ₹4,484 | Not published in the fragrance-oil specification set | Not published in the fragrance-oil specification set |
| Verbena | Stated aroma is "Crisp lemony verbena with herbal undertones" | 15 gm, 50 gm, 100 gm, 500 gm, 1 kg | ₹4,720 | Yes — "Up to 10% for soy wax" | Yes — "Flashpoint: 200°C" |
| Lemongrass and Lime | Lemongrass leads with lime; the lemon-adjacent option | 15 gm, 50 gm, 100 gm, 500 gm, 1000 gm | ₹5,200 | Yes — "6-10% of total wax weight" | No |
Two clarifications before anyone builds a purchase order off that table. The 100% Pure Lemon Essential Oil at ₹4,484 a kilo sits in the butters and essential oils collection and is a different material from the five fragrance oils beside it — it is listed here for completeness and priced for comparison, not recommended as a drop-in substitute. The two behave differently in wax, and the differences are laid out in fragrance oil vs essential oil for candles. Second, Lemongrass and Lime is lemon-adjacent rather than lemon: its lead note is lime and lemongrass, not lemon peel. It earns a place because buyers searching for a lemon candle routinely land on it, and because its published base is the strongest anchor on this shelf.
Every note pyramid, quoted in full
These are the stated pyramids, reproduced in the pages' own words. Nothing is paraphrased and nothing is added, because in a family this volatile the exact wording of the base note is the single most useful sentence on the page. Two listings state an aroma description rather than a three-tier pyramid; that is shown as it stands rather than invented into three tiers.
| Oil | Top (verbatim) | Heart / middle (verbatim) | Base (verbatim) | Stated family & strength |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Citrus Lemon | "Zesty lemon, lime - sharp, bright, immediately energising" | "Bright grapefruit, orange - juicy, sun-ripened, vibrant" | "Tangy mandarin - lively, rounded, fresh finish" | "Citrus / Fresh / Vibrant"; "Strength Strong" |
| Zesty Lemon | "Fresh Lemon Peel, Citrus Zest - bright and immediate, like cutting into a real lemon rather than opening a cleaning product" | "Soft Floral Citrus Nuance - rounds out the initial sharpness without sweetening it" | "Clean Musk (very subtle) - just enough to anchor the citrus and give it staying power" | "Citrus / Fresh / Clean"; "Strength Moderate" |
| Citronella | "Top: Lemon, Lemongrass" | "Middle: Citronella, Green Herb" | "Base: Wood" | Not stated as a family line; "Vanillin Content: 0%" |
| Verbena | "Main Aroma: Crisp lemony verbena with herbal undertones" — the page states an aroma, not a three-tier pyramid | "Fragrance Strength: Strong in both cold and hot throw" | ||
| Lemongrass and Lime | "Zesty lime, fresh lemongrass - bright, citrusy, immediately uplifting" | "Light ginger, herbal undertones - warm green complexity, gentle spice" | "Subtle cedarwood, soft musk - clean, grounded, well-balanced finish" | "Citrus / Herbal / Fresh"; "Strength Moderate" |
Read down the base column and the commercial story writes itself. Citrus Lemon ends on more citrus — mandarin — so it is a citrus candle from open to close, and it will read as the brightest of the group and the most dependent on cure. Zesty Lemon ends on a clean musk, deliberately subtle, described on its own page as there to anchor without sweetening. Lemongrass and Lime ends on cedarwood and musk, which is the most substantial anchor of the five, and is why it behaves least like a top-note-only candle. Citronella ends on a single word: wood. And Verbena publishes no pyramid at all, which is not a failing — it is a single-note oil, and its page says so by describing an aroma instead.
The wholesale table: kilo, gram, candle
This is the table to put in front of whoever signs off your material cost. It takes each listing's largest pack, reduces it to a price per gram, and puts that gram inside a real candle at the two loads that matter — 8%, which is where almost every first production run sits, and 10%, which is the ceiling four of these pages state for soy.
| Oil | Largest listed pack | Per gram | Per 200 g candle @ 8% (16 g) | Per 200 g candle @ 10% (20 g) | Candles per kilo @ 8% |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Citrus Lemon | 1 kg ₹2,832 | ₹2.83 | ₹45.31 | ₹56.64 | 62 |
| Citronella | 1 kg ₹2,891 | ₹2.89 | ₹46.26 | ₹57.82 | 62 |
| Zesty Lemon | 1kg ₹3,400 | ₹3.40 | ₹54.40 | ₹68 | 62 |
| 100% Pure Lemon Essential Oil | 1 kg ₹4,484 | ₹4.48 | ₹71.74 | ₹89.68 | 62 |
| Verbena | 1 kg ₹4,720 | ₹4.72 | ₹75.52 | ₹94.40 | 62 |
| Lemongrass and Lime | 1000 gm ₹5,200 | ₹5.20 | ₹83.20 | ₹104 | 62 |
Now the part buyers miss. Those figures assume the kilo, and on this shelf the ladder below the kilo is wildly inconsistent. Citrus Lemon's 500 g pack is ₹1,420, which is ₹2.84 a gram — within a paisa of its own kilo. Citronella's 500 g pack is ₹1,475, or ₹2.95 a gram, against ₹7.67 a gram at both 50 g and 100 g. That is not a rounding difference; it is a 62% cliff inside one product. And Verbena falls steadily all the way — ₹7.08, ₹6.61, ₹5.90, ₹4.96, ₹4.72 — which means a Verbena candle costed from a 100 g bottle carries ₹18.88 of phantom cost per unit.
| Oil | 15 g | 50 g | 100 g | 500 g | 1 kg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Citrus Lemon | ₹81.42 (₹5.43/g) | ₹170 (₹3.40/g) | ₹300 (₹3.00/g) | ₹1,420 (₹2.84/g) | ₹2,832 (₹2.83/g) |
| Citronella | ₹141.60 (₹9.44/g) | ₹383.50 (₹7.67/g) | ₹767 (₹7.67/g) | ₹1,475 (₹2.95/g) | ₹2,891 (₹2.89/g) |
| Zesty Lemon | ₹90 (₹6.00/g) | ₹200 (₹4.00/g) | ₹360 (₹3.60/g) | ₹1,720 (₹3.44/g) | ₹3,400 (₹3.40/g) |
| 100% Pure Lemon Essential Oil | ₹70.80 (₹4.72/g) | ₹224.20 (₹4.48/g) | ₹448.40 (₹4.48/g) | ₹2,242 (₹4.48/g) | ₹4,484 (₹4.48/g) |
| Verbena | ₹106.20 (₹7.08/g) | ₹330.40 (₹6.61/g) | ₹590 (₹5.90/g) | ₹2,478 (₹4.96/g) | ₹4,720 (₹4.72/g) |
| Lemongrass and Lime | ₹116.52 (₹7.77/g) | ₹330 (₹6.60/g) | ₹590 (₹5.90/g) | ₹2,600 (₹5.20/g) | ₹5,200 (₹5.20/g) |
Three lemon oils worth a kilo
Three of the six justify a full kilo for most businesses. Each card lists every pack the product is sold in, the price per kilo each pack works out at, and how many 200 g candles at 8% that pack will pour — the 15 g row reads zero because 15 g is short of the 16 g one candle takes.

Wax, load and the two published flash points
Lemon oils are usually poured into white or pale wax, which makes vanillin the first thing to check and the wax's own stated ceiling the second. Every lemon page here states 0% or approximately 0% vanillin where it mentions it at all, so discolouration risk from the fragrance is low on this shelf — a genuinely useful property, and one of the reasons a lemon candle in an uncoloured soy is such a reliable seller.
| Wax | 1 kg | Stated load | Wax in a 200 g candle | With Citrus Lemon | With Lemongrass and Lime |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eco Soy CSI 400 | ₹399 | Not stated; add at 80–90°C, stir 2 minutes | ₹73.42 | ₹118.73 | ₹156.62 |
| Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 | ₹507.40 | Up to 10% | ₹93.36 | ₹138.67 | ₹176.56 |
| Luxury Soy Wax Chunks | ₹599 | 8–13%, 10% recommended | ₹110.22 | ₹155.53 | ₹193.42 |
| Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 | ₹650 | Up to 13%; melt 50–53°C, pour 58–60°C | ₹119.60 | ₹164.91 | ₹202.80 |
On load, the rule is simply the lower of the two stated numbers. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks state 8–13% with 10% recommended, and every lemon oil here caps at 10% for soy, so 10% is the ceiling for that pairing and 8% is the sensible first pour. On CSI 464 both the wax and the oils say up to 10%, so they agree. For paraffin, the oils are stricter than the wax is: Citrus Lemon states 6–8% and Zesty Lemon states up to 6%, so those are the working numbers with Fully Refined Paraffin Wax Pellets at ₹354 a kilo. Why more oil does not automatically mean more scent is worked through in can too much fragrance oil make a candle smell weaker.
Verifying a lemon oil before the purchase order
Wholesale buying means committing to a scent before you have poured at production scale, so the verification work has to happen at sample scale. There are two sources of truth and no others: what the product page states, and what your own cured burn test shows. Here is what each can and cannot tell you.
| Question | Answered by the page? | Answered by your burn test? | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| What is the maximum load? | Yes on five of six — 6–10% or up to 10% for soy | No | A formulation limit for the wax, not a regulatory one |
| Will it yellow white wax? | Yes where vanillin is stated — 0% or approximately 0% | Yes, in your wax, your dye, your light | Run one control jar for a fortnight |
| What is the flash point? | Only for Verbena (200°C) and Citronella (270°F) | No | Where the page is silent, request the SDS; do not borrow a number |
| How strong is the hot throw? | Only as an adjective — "Strong", "Moderate" | Yes, for your jar diameter and wick | No published throw measurement exists for any of these oils |
| How long will it last on a shelf? | No — no CSI fragrance page states a shelf life | Partly, by re-burning a stored jar | This guide makes no shelf-life claim |
| Is documentation available? | Not as a download | No | SDS and IFRA documentation are supplied on request via WhatsApp |
On IFRA specifically: several of these pages use IFRA language in their own copy, and the concept itself is simply a set of industry usage standards for fragrance materials by application. What this guide will not do is assert that a certificate exists for a particular oil, quote an amendment or category number, or extend a claim made on one page across the range. If a retailer or a certification body needs paperwork before you can list a lemon candle, ask for it by name on WhatsApp and check what arrives against what you have been asked for.
Above 1 kg, and what is not listed
Say plainly what the site does and does not carry. One kilogram is the largest fragrance-oil pack CSI lists — there is no 5 kg or 10 kg variant on any lemon page, and no volume discount is published anywhere on them. What the listed prices give a wholesale buyer is a ceiling: the most a given quantity can cost if it is simply assembled from listed packs.
| Requirement | Built from listed packs | Listed cost | 200 g candles @ 8% | 200 g candles @ 10% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 kg Citrus Lemon | 2 × 1 kg ₹2,832 | ₹5,664 | 125 | 100 |
| 3 kg Citrus Lemon | 3 × 1 kg ₹2,832 | ₹8,496 | 187 | 150 |
| 3 kg Zesty Lemon | 3 × 1 kg ₹3,400 | ₹10,200 | 187 | 150 |
| 2.5 kg Citronella | 2 × 1 kg ₹2,891 + 1 × 500 g ₹1,475 | ₹7,257 | 156 | 125 |
| 5 kg Verbena | 5 × 1 kg ₹4,720 | ₹23,600 | 312 | 250 |
| 1.6 kg Lemongrass and Lime | 1 × 1000 gm ₹5,200 + 1 × 500 gm ₹2,600 + 1 × 100 gm ₹590 | ₹8,390 | 100 | 80 |
For anything beyond that — a standing monthly requirement, a purchase order against GST invoicing, or SDS and IFRA documentation for a retail listing — the route is the WhatsApp bulk line on +91 7397976926. CSI publishes no price for quantities it does not list and no minimum order quantity at all, so nothing here should be read as a prediction of a quote. If you are still sizing the run, how much fragrance oil is needed for 500 candles does the kilogram arithmetic, and the wider citrus purchase sequence is in buy citrus fragrance oils for candle making.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA is a raw-material supplier, not a candle manufacturer and not the maker of the oils it stocks. That shapes what this page can honestly say about lemon. We can tell you what each product page states, what each pack costs, and what the arithmetic does to your unit cost. We cannot tell you which lemon will sell best in your city, and we will not pretend that a bright citrus behaves like a resin — the whole point of the base-note column above is that it does not.
Every price and pack here is from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, which is always authoritative on current pricing and availability. Note pyramids, loads, cure windows, vanillin figures and flash points are quoted in the pages' own words and only where the pages state them. Two of these six state a measured flash point; the others state none, and this guide does not supply one from elsewhere. No throw measurement, burn-test result or shelf-life figure is published for any of them, so none appears here.
For quantities above the listed 1 kg pack, recurring supply, GST invoicing, or SDS and IFRA documentation, message the bulk line on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. Documentation is supplied on request; this guide makes no claim about the contents of any individual document.

Loads are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Candle maths assumes fragrance load as a percentage of finished candle weight (200 g at 8% = 184 g wax + 16 g oil; at 10% = 180 g wax + 20 g oil). Per-gram figures are pack price ÷ pack grams; per-candle figures are per gram × 16 or × 20; candles per kilo = 1,000 ÷ 16 = 62 at 8% and 1,000 ÷ 20 = 50 at 10%. The 500-candle figure is 500 × 16 g = 8 kg at 8% and 500 × 20 g = 10 kg at 10%. The essential-oil comparison is ₹4.484 against ₹2.832 per gram, a difference of 58.3%.
