Splitting one 10 kg bag across three scents: the oil and wick maths
Fifty-four candles of a single fragrance is a lot of one scent for a small seller. Most people buying 10 kg want a small range, and that changes the oil order far more than the wax order. It is also where over-buying usually happens.
Three scents, eighteen candles each
Split 54 × 200 g evenly and each scent gets 18 candles. Each candle takes 16 g of oil at 8%, so each scent needs 288 g, or about 302 g with the 5% allowance. Three 100 g bottles give you 300 g, two grams short. Either pour 17 candles of that scent or buy a fourth bottle. Decide before you order, not halfway through a melt.
Compare that with one scent for the whole bag. A single 1 kg bottle covers 62 candles of 200 g at 8%, so it covers all 54 with room for the allowance. If one of your three scents is the clear best-seller, give it the 1 kg bottle and put the other two in 100 g bottles.
What splitting costs you
