How to place a first order that teaches you something: small packs, several oils, one test method. Serving Ahmedabad · delivered from Pune.
₹592
for six testers (15 g each) chosen for Ahmedabad · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What size should I buy first? 15 g to smell and pour one small candle; 50 g for a real test batch of three 200 g candles.

How many oils should I test? Three to six. One oil tells you nothing about what your customers prefer.

How much for a starter basket? Six oils at 15 g: ₹591.52. At 50 g: ₹1,367.60.

When do I buy 1 kg? After an oil has burned well in your own wax and jar. See Buy 1 Kg Candle Fragrance Oil in Ahmedabad.
The short answer
First order: 3–6 oils, 15–50 g each, one wax, one load (8%), one test method.
Ahmedabad basket: Sandalwood, Jasmine, British Rose, Citrus Lemon, Cinnamon Vanilla, Fresh Strawberries.
Cost: ₹591.52 at 15 g · ₹1,367.60 at 50 g · before delivery.
What a first order costs: six Ahmedabad oils by pack size6 × 15 g testers₹5926 × 50 g test packs₹1,3683 × 50 g (tight start)₹714
Prices before delivery. A first order should cost less than the batch of candles you would waste by skipping the test.
Straight answer
Buy Candle Fragrance Oils in Ahmedabad: what should you know?
Buy three to six oils in 15 g or 50 g packs, test them all at the same 8% load in the wax you will sell in, then move only the winner to 1 kg. For Ahmedabad we would start with Sandalwood, Jasmine, British Rose, Citrus Lemon, Cinnamon Vanilla and Fresh Strawberries: ₹591.52 for all six as testers, ₹1,367.60 as 50 g packs. Orders to Ahmedabad are dispatched from Pune by courier. Transit time depends on the courier and your pin code, so we confirm it on WhatsApp when you order instead of printing a number here.
One line: a first order is a test — several small packs beat one big one.
Sandalwood is the oil we would put first in a Ahmedabad starter basket — ₹93.22 for 15 g.

Your first fragrance oil order in Ahmedabad

A first order is a test, not a stock-up. Buy enough to make mistakes with, not enough to be stuck with.

Buy small packs of three to six different oils instead of one large pack. A 15 g tester is enough to smell the oil cold and pour one small test candle; a 50 g pack is enough for a proper test batch — three 200 g candles, or four 150 g candles, at an 8% load. Only after one oil has burned well in your own wax and jar does a 1 kg pack make sense — that decision is covered in Buy 1 Kg Candle Fragrance Oil in Ahmedabad.

Starter basket · Ahmedabad
Six oils chosen for Ahmedabad's climate and calendar
Oil 15 g 50 g Test candles from 50 g
Sandalwood ₹93.22 ₹271.40 2–4 (250–150 g)
Jasmine ₹103.00 ₹230.00 2–4 (250–150 g)
British Rose ₹94.40 ₹212.40 2–4 (250–150 g)
Citrus Lemon ₹81.42 ₹170.00 2–4 (250–150 g)
Cinnamon Vanilla ₹106.20 ₹271.40 2–4 (250–150 g)
Fresh Strawberries ₹113.28 ₹212.40 2–4 (250–150 g)

All six at 15 g comes to ₹591.52; all six at 50 g comes to ₹1,367.60. A tighter first order — the first three at 50 g — is ₹713.80. Prices are CSI live pricing for September 2026, before delivery.

How to run the test so the first order is not wasted

1
Pour every oil at the same loadUse 8% of the candle weight — 16 g of oil in a 200 g candle — so you compare the oils, not the recipe.
2
Use the wax you will sell inLuxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (flakes) is ₹507.40 per kg, stated up to 10% fragrance load, melt and pour at 80–90°C. Testing in a different wax tells you little.
3
Cure before judgingLeave soy candles to cure before the first burn so the throw has settled. Judge cold throw on day one, hot throw after the cure.
4
Burn in a closed roomBurn for a couple of hours in a normal-sized room with the door shut, then walk in from outside. That is how a customer will meet it.
5
Write it downOil, load, wax, wick, pour temperature, cure days, throw score. The notes are what turn a 50 g test into a 1 kg decision.
The common first-order mistake. Buying one favourite oil at 500 g or 1 kg before a single test candle. If the throw is weak in your wax, or the scent reads differently in a jar than on the bottle, the rest of that pack sits on a shelf.

Paying, invoicing and delivery

Orders to Ahmedabad are dispatched from Pune by courier. Transit time depends on the courier and your pin code, so we confirm it on WhatsApp when you order instead of printing a number here. Ahmedabad orders are billed to Gujarat, so the invoice carries IGST. (CSI invoices from Maharashtra, so an interstate delivery carries IGST rather than CGST plus SGST.) Orders are placed on the website; WhatsApp is for anything the website cannot answer.

A Ahmedabad buyer, worked through

Home-studio seller. Small batches and many scents; keep most at 100 g and test widely.

Say that buyer pours 120 candles of 150 g. At 8% each candle takes 12.0 g of oil, so the run needs 1.44 kg — about 1.4 kg in total, split across however many scents the run carries. If it were all Fresh Strawberries, the oil would cost about ₹5,098 at the 1 kg price.

Example buyer · Ahmedabad
Home-studio seller: three oils, costed
Oil 1 kg Oil per 150 g candle Candles per kg Oil for 120 (single scent)
Fresh Strawberries ₹3,540.00 ₹42.48 83 ₹5,097.60
Citrus Lemon ₹2,832.00 ₹33.98 83 ₹4,078.08
Cinnamon Vanilla ₹4,554.80 ₹54.66 83 ₹6,558.91

A second Ahmedabad buyer: navratri and new year gift shop. Nine nights of Navratri followed by Diwali and the Gujarati New Year: one long season, best planned as two runs. For 500 candles of 150 g at 8%, the oil comes to 6.00 kg — with Sandalwood at ₹5,026.80 per kg, about ₹30,161.

What Ahmedabad changes about a first order

Ahmedabad is hot and semi-arid, with May highs that can pass 45°C, a moderate July–September monsoon and mild, dry winters. Ahmedabad's summer is the risk: a heavily loaded candle can sweat in a May storeroom. Keep the load under the wax maker's maximum and keep finished stock off hot walls.

Ahmedabad through the year
Three seasons, three different jobs for a Ahmedabad maker
Months Conditions What to do
March–June Very hot, can pass 45°C in May Hold back one point on load; keep oil out of rooftop rooms.
July–September Moderate monsoon Test and buy Navratri and Diwali oil.
October–February Navratri, Diwali, New Year, Uttarayan; mild dry winter The main selling season; stable pouring conditions.

Dry heat is harder on finished candles than on sealed oil. A cool, shaded shelf matters more than any additive.

Uttarayan in January is a second, smaller gifting moment after the Diwali–New Year run. Plan a small run of the season's best seller rather than a new range.

May heat in Ahmedabad can soften finished candles on a shop shelf. Advise retailers to keep stock away from glass frontages and sunlit windows.

Dry heat is harder on finished candles than on the oil. Store sealed oil somewhere cool, not in a rooftop room. Nine nights of Navratri from 11 October, Diwali and the Gujarati New Year that follows it, and Uttarayan in January are Ahmedabad's main buying windows.

Argue against interest
Your first order should be too small to be a stock-up.
We would rather sell you six testers and a kilogram later than a kilogram now that you do not reorder.
Buy enough to make mistakes with, not enough to be stuck with.

Assumptions: Candle maths use an illustrative 8% fragrance load by weight (16 g of oil and 184 g of wax in a 200 g candle), which is within the stated range of every oil on this page that publishes one; "per candle" material costs include oil, wax and wick only and exclude the vessel, label, packaging, labour, freight and GST. Wax stated fragrance maximums are the wax maker's formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Worked examples (e.g. "a Satellite-area gift shop preparing Navratri and New Year stock") are illustrations, not customers. Per-gram comparisons use listed prices only.

Calendar: Navratri begins 11 October 2026; Dussehra 20 October 2026; Dhanteras 6 November 2026; Diwali 8 November 2026; Makar Sankranti / Pongal mid-January 2027.
