Candle Business Guides · Dehradun × 1 Kg Pricing
Eighty-seven CSI fragrance oils are in stock at 1 kg, and they run from ₹2,832 to ₹24,056 a kilo. This guide converts every one of those prices into rupees per gram, rupees inside one finished candle, and a straight answer on whether the kilo is actually the cheapest way to buy a thousand grams.
₹2.83–₹24.06
per gram — the 87 fragrance oils in stock at 1 kg, priced from ₹2,832 to ₹24,056 a kilo, median ₹6,499 · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What does 1 kg of candle fragrance oil cost? Across CSI's range, ₹2,832 at the bottom and ₹24,056 at the top, with the median kilo at ₹6,499. Per gram that is ₹2.83 to ₹24.06. Prices are the same whether you order from Dehradun or anywhere else in India — CSI ships nationwide and the product page is the price.

What does a kilo put inside one candle? A 150 g candle at an 8% load carries 12 g of oil. That is ₹33.98 of the cheapest kilo and ₹288.67 of the dearest — the single widest line item in a candle's bill of materials.

Is the kilo always the cheapest gram? No. On 59 of the 87 the kilo and the cheapest small-bottle route to 1,000 g are within half a percent of each other. On 26 the kilo genuinely wins. On two it loses badly — see the table below before you click.

Is 1 kg the largest pack? Yes. CSI publishes no 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance pack. Above a kilo you multiply kilos, and for recurring volumes you ask for a quote on WhatsApp. We will not print a number here that the quote has not given you.
The short answer
Convert before you compare: a kilo price only becomes useful divided by 1,000. ₹5,200 a kilo is ₹5.20 a gram is ₹62.40 in a 150 g candle at 8%. Do that once for your shortlist and the range sorts itself.
Check the rung below the kilo: on Saffron Cedarwood and Sage and Cedarwood two 500 g bottles list at ₹5,168.40 against ₹6,867.60 for the 1 kg. That is ₹1,699.20 of difference for the same thousand grams.
Buy the kilo for continuity, not for the discount: where the per-gram price is flat, the kilo buys you one cap, one label, one reorder date and no risk of a rung going out of stock mid-season. That is worth something. It is just not a price saving.

Price per gram — and the oil inside one 150 g candle at 8% (12 g) Citrus Lemon ₹2.83 / g · ₹33.98 per candle Honeydew Melon ₹3.40 / g · ₹40.78 per candle Lemongrass & Lime ₹5.20 / g · ₹62.40 per candle Median kilo ₹6.50 / g · ₹77.99 per candle Orange no.3 ₹8.03 / g · ₹96.38 per candle Tangerine ₹12.00 / g · ₹143.99 per candle Dearest live kilo ₹24.06 / g · ₹288.67 per candle
Bar length is the price per gram. The spread across the range is eight and a half times — but the practical decision is narrower than it looks, because the jar, the wax, the wick and the lid barely move while the oil line swings by ₹254.69 inside a single 150 g candle.
Straight answer
What is the 1 kg price of candle fragrance oil, and is the kilo the right rung for a Dehradun maker to buy?
CSI lists 104 fragrance oils with a 1 kg size and 87 of those kilos are in stock right now, from ₹2,832 for Citrus Lemon to ₹24,056 at the top of the fine-fragrance shelf, with the median kilo at ₹6,499. Divide by a thousand and those become ₹2.83 and ₹24.06 a gram. In a 150 g candle at an 8% load — 138 g of wax and 12 g of oil — that is ₹33.98 of oil at the bottom and ₹288.67 at the top, against a fixed ₹172.82 of CSI 464 wax, wick, sticker and 150 g jar. The kilo is the right rung when two things are true: you have burned the scent, and you will pour through it. On price alone the kilo is often a draw — on 59 of the 87 listings it sits within half a percent of the cheapest combination of 500 g, 100 g and 50 g bottles that reaches a thousand grams. On 26 it is cheaper, by up to ₹590 on Cinnamon. On two — Saffron Cedarwood and Sage and Cedarwood — the kilo lists ₹1,699.20 above two 500 g bottles. There is no 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance pack, so above a kilo you multiply and then ask.
One line: restate every kilo price as rupees per gram, check the 500 g rung on the same page, and buy the kilo for continuity of supply rather than for an imagined bulk discount.
Comparing kilos from Dehradun? 87 oils are in stock at 1 kg, from ₹2,832, and every rung from 15 g upward is priced on the same product page. Order online at the listed price; ask on WhatsApp only when you need more than a kilo of one scent.

The kilo price, restated per gram

Nobody pours a kilogram. Everybody pours grams — so the kilo price is a number in the wrong unit.

A fragrance kilo price is quoted the way a sack of rice is quoted, and it is just as hard to use. The figure you need for a costing sheet is rupees per gram, because a gram is the unit your scale reads and your recipe is written in. The conversion is one division by a thousand, and doing it changes decisions: two oils that look ₹1,300 apart at the kilo turn out to be ₹15.60 apart inside a 150 g candle, which is often less than the difference between two jars.

The table below takes eleven live listings across the range and does that arithmetic. The fourth column is the oil cost inside one 150 g candle at an 8% load — 12 g of oil and 138 g of wax, using the series convention that fragrance load is a percentage of the finished candle rather than of the wax alone. Some product pages phrase their load as a percentage "of total wax weight" instead; where load maths is central, say which convention you are using on your own recipe sheet and stay with it.

Orange no.3 ₹8,032 ₹8.03 ₹96.38 50 g · ₹402
Tangerine ₹11,999 ₹12 ₹143.99 15 g · ₹199
Worked out above: per gram = 1 kg price ÷ 1,000. Oil in a 150 g candle at 8% = per gram × 12. Citrus Lemon ₹2.832 × 12 = ₹33.98 · Honeydew Melon ₹3.3984 × 12 = ₹40.78 · Lemongrass and Lime ₹5.20 × 12 = ₹62.40 · Juicy Orange ₹7.499 × 12 = ₹89.99 · Orange no.3 ₹8.032 × 12 = ₹96.38 · Tangerine ₹11.999 × 12 = ₹143.99. The median of the 87 live kilos is ₹6,499, which is ₹6.50 a gram and ₹77.99 a candle.

Read the last column too. It is the cheapest way to smell a scent before you commit a kilo to it, and it is not the same rung on every listing. Most oils start at 15 g for around ₹81 to ₹141. Royal Apricot and Orange no.3 have no 15 g bottle at all — both ladders begin at 50 g — so the cheapest possible trial of Orange no.3 is ₹402 and of Royal Apricot ₹183. That is a planning fact worth knowing before you build a shortlist of twelve scents you intend to sample.

What share of the candle the oil really is

Here is the number that should decide which kilo you buy, and almost nobody calculates it: the oil's share of the candle's material cost. Fix everything except the fragrance — same wax, same wick, same sticker, same jar — and watch the share climb as you move up the range. The fixed lines below come to ₹172.82: 138 g of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹0.5074 a gram (₹70.02), one Eco Candle Wick Thin C1 at ₹5.90, one wick sticker at ₹2.50, and one Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid at ₹94.40 in the pack of 10. That jar's page states a 150 g fill capacity and a hot pour safe to 85°C, which is why it is easy to plan around.

One 150 g candle · fixed lines ₹172.82 · CSI live pricing, September 2026
As the kilo price rises, what proportion of the candle is fragrance?
Kilo price Per gram Oil (12 g) Materials total Oil as a share What that means for pricing
₹2,832 ₹2.83 ₹33.98 ₹206.81 16% The jar is your biggest line, not the scent. Upgrade the vessel.
₹3,398.40 ₹3.40 ₹40.78 ₹213.60 19% Still vessel-led. Room to run two scents without changing your price.
₹4,248 ₹4.25 ₹50.98 ₹223.80 23% The comfortable middle for a seasonal range.
₹5,200 ₹5.20 ₹62.40 ₹235.22 27% Fragrance is now a quarter of materials — cost it per scent, not per batch.
₹6,499 (median) ₹6.50 ₹77.99 ₹250.81 31% Wastage starts to hurt. Weigh oil into the pour, never eyeball it.
₹8,032 ₹8.03 ₹96.38 ₹269.21 36% The scent must be nameable on the label and worth a premium.
₹11,999 ₹12 ₹143.99 ₹316.81 45% Fragrance and everything else are now roughly equal partners.
₹24,056 ₹24.06 ₹288.67 ₹461.49 63% A gift-boxed signature candle only. One spilled batch is real money.
The mistake: choosing a kilo by the kilo price and then discovering the candle does not carry it. A candle at ₹461.49 of materials cannot retail at the same price as one at ₹206.81 — not with the same jar, the same lid and the same label. If you move up the fragrance range, move the format up with it, or the margin disappears quietly inside a familiar-looking product. Work the retail price out from the materials before the kilo arrives: our candle pricing formula for 2026 walks the whole calculation, and premium versus cheap fragrance oils covers what the extra rupees can and cannot buy you.
The cheapest way to lower the oil share is not a cheaper oil
It is a smaller candle at the same price point. Drop from a 150 g jar to a 70 g votive and the oil falls from 12 g to 5.6 g — a ₹288.67 fragrance line becomes ₹134.71 while the scent on the label stays identical. CSI lists the Clear Glass Votive Jar 70 gram at ₹318.60 for ten, and its page states a capacity of about 70 g of wax fill. Two sizes of the same expensive scent is usually a better range than two scents you cannot afford to test.

The cheapest route to 1,000 grams

Now the question the kilo price cannot answer on its own: if you want a thousand grams of one fragrance, is the 1 kg bottle the cheapest way to get it? Every CSI fragrance listing prices its rungs independently, so the honest way to check is to price the cheapest combination of live smaller bottles that reaches exactly 1,000 g — two 500 g, ten 100 g, twenty 50 g, or a mix — and compare it with the listed kilo.

We did that for all 87 listings that are in stock at 1 kg. The result is not the one the phrase "bulk pricing" would lead you to expect.

All 87 live kilos · cheapest small-bottle route to 1,000 g vs the 1 kg price
Four behaviours, how many listings show each, and what to do about it
Behaviour Listings Example What to do
Within ±0.5% — a draw 59 Honeydew Melon: 1 kg ₹3,398.40 vs 2 × 500 g ₹3,398.40 Buy the kilo for one cap and one reorder date, or two halves to keep one sealed.
Kilo cheaper by 0.5–5% 17 British Rose: 1 kg ₹3,068 vs 2 × 500 g ₹3,186 — kilo saves ₹118 Take the kilo if you will finish it. The saving is real but small.
Kilo cheaper by more than 5% 9 Cinnamon: 1 kg ₹5,310 vs 10 × 100 g ₹5,900 — kilo saves ₹590 Here the kilo is a genuine buy. Note it has no 500 g rung at all.
Kilo dearer by more than 5% 2 Saffron Cedarwood and Sage and Cedarwood: 1 kg ₹6,867.60 vs 2 × 500 g ₹5,168.40 Buy two 500 g bottles and check the page — ₹1,699.20 is not a rounding error.
The mistake: assuming every listing on one store shares one pricing logic. It does not. These are 107 separate listings, each with its own rungs, and three patterns repeat. Some ladders are perfectly proportional — Fallen Leaves is ₹4,248 at 1 kg and ₹2,124 at 500 g, exactly half. Some step down at the top — Pumpkin Spice is ₹590 for 100 g but ₹5,310 for the kilo, so the kilo costs the same as nine of those bottles and gives you ten. And on two listings the kilo is priced above two half-kilos. Check the rung below the one you were about to buy. Every time. It takes ten seconds and the product page is always the authority on the current price.
"Wholesale" is a rung, not a password
CSI publishes no trade account, no minimum order and no volume discount table, and we are not going to imply one exists. What the store does publish is a price for every rung on every listing — which means the wholesale question reduces to arithmetic you can do yourself in a browser tab. The one thing that genuinely needs a conversation is quantity above a kilo of a single scent; that is what the WhatsApp bulk line is for. More on how the rung ladder works across the catalogue in candle fragrance oils wholesale in India.

Reading a pack ladder: four worked examples

These four are not "the best four oils". They are four listings whose pack ladders behave in four different ways, so that once you can read these you can read the other 83. Each card shows every rung the listing sells, the price per kilo at each rung, and how many 150 g candles at 8% each rung fills.

1
Ladder type · perfectly proportional
Honeydew Melon
The clearest example of a flat ladder in the range: ₹3,398.40 at 1 kg, ₹1,699.20 at 500 g, and those two numbers are exactly double and half of each other. The 100 g is ₹435.42, which is ₹4.35 a gram against ₹3.40 at the kilo, so the step from 100 g to 500 g is where the real per-gram gain sits — not the step from 500 g to 1 kg. Its product page carries no stated candle load, no flash point and no discolouration note, so hold it at 8% on a first pour, keep it away from the load ceiling of your wax, and burn a cured jar before you scale. A blank on a page is information: it tells you this one needs your own test rather than the page's numbers.

2
Ladder type · the small bottles cost more per gram
Citronella Fragrance Oil
One of the cheapest kilos on the store at ₹2,891, and a ladder that punishes small orders hard: the 50 g is ₹383.50 and the 100 g ₹767, both ₹7.67 a gram against ₹2.89 at the kilo. That is a 2.7× penalty for buying small. Two 500 g bottles come to ₹2,950, so the kilo saves ₹59 — a genuine if modest win. Its page states a flash point of 270°F and a vanillin content of 0%, and gives the notes as lemon and lemongrass over citronella and green herb on a wood base. The 0% vanillin line matters if you pour white or pale wax, because it is the page's own answer to the yellowing question. It states no candle load, so 8% and a burn test.

Lemongrass and Lime
₹5,200 at 1 kg, ₹2,600 at 500 g — another exact half — with 100 g at ₹590 (₹5.90 a gram) and a 15 g trial at ₹116.52. What lifts this listing above the flat-ladder crowd is what the page publishes: a recommended candle load of 6–10%, a wax-melt load of 10–15%, and a full three-tier note structure (zesty lime and lemongrass over light ginger and herbal notes, on subtle cedarwood and soft musk). A stated 6–10% band means your 8% pour sits inside a published window rather than at the edge of one. At ₹62.40 of oil in a 150 g candle it is a sensible anchor for a fresh, year-round line. The full listing walk-through is in our lemongrass and lime buyer's guide.

Ladder type · three rungs only, no 500 g
Orange no.3
A fine-fragrance listing with a deliberately short ladder: 50 g at ₹402, 100 g at ₹803, 1 kg at ₹8,032. There is no 15 g trial and no 500 g middle rung, so the jump from sampling to committing is a big one — ₹803 to ₹8,032 with nothing in between. Ten 100 g bottles come to ₹8,030, two rupees under the kilo, which tells you the ladder is deliberately proportional rather than tiered. Its page states a candle load of 7–10%, starting at 7%, a flash point given only as the threshold "> 93°C (suitable for alcohol-based products)" — a template line, not a measured value, so do not treat it as one — and warns of low-to-moderate discolouration from the amber and cedar content. For a Dehradun winter-citrus candle it is a strong option; there is a full method post on building one in how to make a Christmas orange candle.

Where a kilo fits in a Dehradun year

A kilo of fragrance oil is roughly 83 candles at 150 g and 8%, or 62 at 200 g, or 104 at 120 g. Whether that is three weeks of stock or nine months of it depends on the calendar you sell into — and the Doon valley's calendar is not the plains calendar. Two things make it unusual for a candle maker. The winter is genuinely cool and long, so candles get lit rather than stored, and the gifting season runs from Diwali straight through Christmas, New Year and into the wedding months. And the hill-station traffic to the towns above the valley gives a second retail peak that has nothing to do with festivals.

The table below is a planning frame, not a forecast. The behaviours in the third column are ordinary material behaviour that you can verify in your own workroom with a thermometer and a notebook; the volumes in the fourth are an illustration at one output level, clearly marked as an assumption.

A Dehradun buying year · planning frame, assumptions marked
What each part of the year asks of a fragrance order
Part of the year What is selling What the conditions do to materials Rung to buy (at 100 candles a month — an assumption)
Late September to 8 November Diwali gifting, corporate boxes, hampers Warm days and cool nights; wax sets faster in the evening than at midday, so log your pour times as well as your temperatures 1 kg of your two proven scents — 83 candles each at 150 g
Mid November to January Christmas, New Year, winter gifting, visitor traffic A cold room and cold glass: the commonest faults are wet spots against the glass, frosting on pale soy and a slow first melt pool 1 kg again on the winter scent; 500 g on anything experimental
February to March Weddings, Valentine's, spring collections Comfortable pouring weather — the easiest months to run a controlled comparison in 500 g rungs while you test; commit the kilo after the burn test
April to June Fresh and citrus scents, tourist-season retail Warmer store rooms: keep finished candles boxed and out of direct sun, and expect softer wax on the shelf 500 g × 2 on the fast movers, 100 g on new ideas
July to September Quiet retail; the build-up to the festive run A long, wet season: humid air, condensation on cool glass, labels that will not stick to a damp jar and cartons that go soft The kilo goes in now, so the cure is finished before Diwali

The practical consequence for the kilo decision is a date, not a price. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November. A soy container candle is usually cured for one to two weeks before it is burned or sold — the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page asks for a minimum of 48 hours and ideally one to two weeks — so working backwards, a kilo that arrives in the last week of October is a kilo you will be pouring against the clock. Buy the festive kilo while the monsoon is still finishing and you will be curing, not rushing. There is more on this timing in how early candle brands should order fragrance oils for Diwali and in planning fragrance inventory before the festive season.

The CSI principle
Buy the kilo because of your calendar, not because of the kilo price.
On most of this catalogue the kilo saves you nothing per gram, so the only honest arguments for it are that you will pour through it and that you would rather not discover a rung is out of stock in the last week of October. Both are calendar arguments. Neither is a discount.
Ready to commit? Honeydew Melon 1 kg ₹3,398.40, Citronella 1 kg ₹2,891, Lemongrass and Lime 1 kg ₹5,200, Orange no.3 1 kg ₹8,032. For more than a kilo of one scent, or for GST invoicing and documentation on a business order, message the bulk line.

Six checks before you buy a kilo

A kilo is the point at which a fragrance decision stops being reversible. Six checks, in this order, take about fifteen minutes and remove most of the ways a kilo goes wrong.

1
Convert the kilo price to a gram price and then to a candle priceDivide by 1,000, multiply by the grams of oil in your candle. For a 150 g candle at 8% that is × 12. Write the figure on your costing sheet next to the jar and the wax, so the three are compared in the same unit. A kilo you cannot express per candle is a kilo you have not costed.
2
Price the rung below itOpen the same product page and price two 500 g bottles, or ten 100 g, whichever the listing sells. If the smaller route is cheaper, take it — and if it is cheaper by more than a few percent, look twice at the page before you order either way. On Saffron Cedarwood the gap is ₹1,699.20.
3
Read what the page states about load — and take the lower of two ceilingsIf the oil states a candle load and your wax states one too, the number you may pour is the lower of the two. CSI 464 states up to 10%; Luxury Soy Wax Chunks state 8–13% with 10% recommended. A 6–10% oil in a 10% wax gives you 10%, not 13%.
4
Check the discolouration line if any part of your range is white or paleSixty-two of the 107 fragrance pages say something about vanillin or discolouration, and the wording varies from "0% vanillin — no discolouration" to "moderate-to-significant browning". This is the best-documented field on these pages. Use it: which candle fragrances are least likely to discolour white wax collects the pattern.
5
Buy the smallest live rung first and burn itFifteen grams fills roughly one 150 g candle at 8%; 50 g fills four. That is enough to produce a cured, burned, scored jar before ₹5,000 leaves your account. Use a fixed method so two oils are actually comparable — the one in how to compare two fragrance oils using a controlled burn test works well.
6
Check the rung is in stock, then order for the cure, not for the deadlineSeventeen of the 104 listings that show a 1 kg size are currently out of stock at that size, and 11 listings have no size in stock at all. Availability is the one thing arithmetic cannot fix. Count backwards from your selling date through cure, pour and dispatch, and place the order at the front of that chain rather than the end.

Past the kilo: what the listed rate can tell you

The largest bottle on the store holds one kilogram. Everything past it is a sum you do yourself and a question you have to ask out loud.

One kilogram is the largest fragrance pack CSI lists, on every one of the 107 oils. That is worth saying plainly, because a buyer planning a few hundred candles will look for a 5 kg or 10 kg drum and not find one. What you can do is multiply: the listed kilo price is the ceiling for larger quantities, so ordering four kilos of a ₹5,200 oil at the listed rate is ₹20,800 and you know for certain you will not pay more than that. Whether a recurring order is priced differently is a question for the bulk line, and we will not put a number on it here that a quote has not given you.

Quantity of one scent Packs to buy At ₹2,891 / kg At ₹5,200 / kg At ₹8,032 / kg 150 g candles at 8%
1 kg 1 × 1 kg ₹2,891 ₹5,200 ₹8,032 83
2 kg 2 × 1 kg ₹5,782 ₹10,400 ₹16,064 166
3 kg 3 × 1 kg ₹8,673 ₹15,600 ₹24,096 250
5 kg 5 × 1 kg ₹14,455 ₹26,000 ₹40,160 416
10 kg 10 × 1 kg ₹28,910 ₹52,000 ₹80,320 833

Two practical notes on that table. First, the candle count assumes no losses; allow 3–5% for spills, top-ups and the film left in the bottle when you plan, and treat that as a planning allowance rather than a measurement. Second, ten one-kilo bottles of a single scent is a serious commitment to one recipe — it is the point at which the sensible order is a quote request with your actual numbers in it. What to put in that message is set out in where to order candle fragrance oils in bulk in Dehradun, and the same maths applied to production runs is in how much fragrance oil a candle business needs.

A kilo price you have not divided by a gram is a rumour. A kilo price you have divided by a candle is a decision.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and we have no shop, counter, stockist or warehouse in Dehradun. What we have is a catalogue that ships across India and a price on every rung of it. That is why this page spends its time on the one thing a Dehradun buyer can verify from a laptop — the arithmetic of the ladder — instead of on claims about delivery that we are not in a position to publish. We would sell more oil by telling you the kilo is always the cheaper gram. On 61 of 87 listings it is not, and we would rather you found that out here than after the order.

Every price on this page is live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Stated loads, flash points, vanillin figures and note structures are quoted only where the product page states them — Citronella's 270°F flash point and 0% vanillin, Lemongrass and Lime's 6–10% candle load, Orange no.3's 7–10% load and its "> 93°C" threshold line, which is a template phrase and not a measured value. Where a page states nothing, this guide says so. No page in the fragrance range states a shelf life or storage instruction, so none is claimed here.

For a quote on more than a kilo of one scent, GST invoicing, or SDS and IFRA documentation on a business order, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. Documentation is supplied on request rather than published on the page, and we will say what exists rather than what sounds good.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Dehradun buyer pay a different 1 kg price?
The same as anywhere else in India: CSI prices the product page, not the pin code. Eighty-seven fragrance oils are in stock at 1 kg, from ₹2,832 to ₹24,056, with a median of ₹6,499 — that is ₹2.83 to ₹24.06 a gram. A further 17 listings show a 1 kg size that is currently out of stock. CSI ships nationwide and takes bulk orders on WhatsApp; there is no Dehradun branch, dealer or local price list, and the linked product page is always the authority on the current figure.
Which listings are actually cheaper bought as two half-kilos?
It depends entirely on the listing, which is why it is worth ten seconds of checking. Across the 87 live kilos, 59 are within half a percent of the cheapest small-bottle route to 1,000 g, 26 favour the kilo — by ₹590 on Cinnamon, ₹481 on a 50 g-laddered fine fragrance — and on two the kilo is dearer: Saffron Cedarwood and Sage and Cedarwood list 1 kg at ₹6,867.60 against ₹5,168.40 for two 500 g bottles.
What is a kilogram of fragrance oil worth in finished candles?
At an 8% load, calculated as a share of the finished candle: about 83 candles at 150 g, 62 at 200 g, 104 at 120 g and 178 at 70 g. Raise the load to 10% and a kilo covers 66 candles at 150 g instead of 83. Put another way, one kilogram of oil pairs with roughly 11.5 kg of wax at 8%, because a kilo of wax needs about 87 g of oil at that load. Allow 3–5% for spills and the residue left in the bottle when you plan — that is a planning allowance, not a measurement.
Which kilo should a Dehradun maker commit to first?
Value here means cost per candle against what the page lets you plan with. Lemongrass and Lime at ₹5,200 states a 6–10% candle load and a full note structure, which is ₹62.40 of oil in a 150 g candle. Honeydew Melon at ₹3,398.40 is ₹40.78 a candle but publishes no load, so it needs your own test. Citronella at ₹2,891 is the cheapest of the three and states a flash point and 0% vanillin. Burn a 15 g or 50 g bottle of each first.
What happens when I need more than a kilogram of one scent?
No. One kilogram is the largest fragrance pack CSI lists, on all 107 oils, and there is no 5 kg or 10 kg drum to order. For five kilos of one scent you buy five 1 kg bottles, and the listed kilo price is your ceiling — ₹26,000 at ₹5,200 a kilo, for example. For recurring or larger volumes, send your quantities to the WhatsApp bulk line and ask. We will not publish what that quote will say, because it has not been made yet.
Does buying a kilo mean I get a wholesale price?
Not automatically, and CSI publishes no trade account, minimum order or volume-discount table. The listed rung price is the price. What the kilo genuinely buys you is continuity: one bottle, one cap, one reorder date, and no chance of the 500 g rung being out of stock in the week you need it. On 59 of 87 listings the per-gram price is effectively identical across rungs, so treat the kilo as an inventory decision. Anything above a kilo of one scent is quoted on WhatsApp.

Figures verified September 2026: 104 of 107 fragrance-oil listings show a 1 kg size; 87 of those kilos are in stock, 17 are not, and 11 listings have no size in stock at all. Live 1 kg prices used: Citrus Lemon ₹2,832, Citronella ₹2,891, Honeydew Melon ₹3,398.40, Royal Apricot ₹3,667, Chocolate Fudge ₹3,964.80, Fallen Leaves ₹4,248, Japanese Cherry Blossom ₹4,842, Lemongrass and Lime ₹5,200, Lavender ₹5,221, Cinnamon ₹5,310, Pumpkin Spice ₹5,310, British Rose ₹3,068, Saffron Cedarwood ₹6,867.60, Sage and Cedarwood ₹6,867.60, Juicy Orange ₹7,499, Orange no.3 ₹8,032, Tangerine ₹11,999; the dearest live kilo is ₹24,056 and the median of the 87 is ₹6,499. Smaller rungs used in the route comparison: Saffron Cedarwood and Sage and Cedarwood 500 gm ₹2,584.20 (2 × ₹2,584.20 = ₹5,168.40); Honeydew Melon 500 gm ₹1,699.20; British Rose 500 gm ₹1,593 (2 × ₹1,593 = ₹3,186); Cinnamon and Pumpkin Spice 100 gm ₹590 (10 × ₹590 = ₹5,900, no 500 g rung listed); Citronella 500 gm ₹1,475; Fallen Leaves 500 gm ₹2,124; Orange no.3 100 g ₹803 (10 × ₹803 = ₹8,030). The 87-listing route comparison prices the cheapest combination of live 500 g, 100 g and 50 g bottles totalling exactly 1,000 g against the listed 1 kg price: 59 within ±0.5%, 17 kilo cheaper by 0.5–5%, 9 kilo cheaper by more than 5%, 2 kilo dearer by more than 5%. Candle arithmetic assumes fragrance load as a percentage of finished candle weight: a 150 g candle at 8% is 138 g of wax and 12 g of oil; a kilo of wax at 8% takes about 87 g of oil; some product pages phrase load as a percentage of total wax weight instead. Fixed materials in the share-of-materials table: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 1 kg ₹507.40 (₹0.5074/g × 138 g = ₹70.02), Eco Candle Wicks Thin C1 10 for ₹59 (₹5.90 each), Candle Wick Stickers 40 for ₹100 (₹2.50 each), Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) pack of 10 ₹944 (₹94.40 each; page states 150 g fill capacity and hot pour safe to 85°C) — total ₹172.82. Clear Glass Votive Jar 70 gram pack of 10 ₹318.60 (₹31.86 each; page states about 70 g wax fill). Stated page fields quoted: Citronella "Flash Point: 270°F" and "Vanillin Content: 0%"; Lemongrass and Lime candle load 6–10% and wax-melt load 10–15%; Orange no.3 candle load 7–10% starting at 7%, flash point stated only as "> 93°C (suitable for alcohol-based products)" and low-to-moderate discolouration from amber and cedar content; Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 up to 10%; Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 8–13% with 10% recommended and a cure of minimum 48 hours, ideally one to two weeks. Sixty-two of the 107 fragrance pages state something about vanillin or discolouration; no page states a shelf life or storage instruction. Loads are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Diwali 2026 is 8 November 2026. Seasonal behaviours described for the Doon valley are general material behaviour a maker can verify; no temperature or humidity figure for Dehradun is claimed, and the 100-candles-a-month output level is marked as an assumption. One kilogram is the largest fragrance pack listed; multi-kilo figures are the listed kilo price multiplied, which is a ceiling, not a quote. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
