Choosing a non-soy container wax without breaking your recipe
The range above shows ten waxes that go in jars. Moving between them is not a like-for-like swap. Each non-soy wax changes at least one other thing, whether the oil load, the words you can print on the label or the pack sizes you can buy, and those knock-on effects are where buyers go wrong.
Paraffin lowers some oils' stated load
Fully Refined Paraffin Wax Pellets are the cheapest container wax per kilogram at ₹354.00. But read the oil pages too. Sandalwood and Jasmine both state up to 10% in soy and up to 6% in paraffin. A soy recipe at 8% moved straight into paraffin sits above those oils' stated paraffin figure. Recalculate the load whenever you change the wax. These are formulation limits published by the oil pages, not regulatory limits, but they are the best guidance you have.
Gel is a different product, not a clear soy
Gel Wax Clear comes as a 1 kg slab at ₹590.00, and that is its only listed size. It is for clear containers and embeds. Plan gel candles as a small, separate line rather than a variant of your soy range: a different look, different handling and usually a different buyer.
Beeswax and coconut suit small, deliberate use
Beeswax Pellets are ₹800.00 per kg at every pack size, so the price per kilogram does not fall at 5 kg or 10 kg, and they bring a honey note that sits under your fragrance. Coconut Wax is ₹1,026.60 per kg and is described for blending with soy or beeswax rather than as a jar wax on its own. Premium Coconut Soy Wax is listed only up to 1 kg, at ₹920.00, so it suits small premium batches rather than a line you intend to scale.
Mistake: still calling a blended candle soy. Once you add paraffin, or microcrystalline wax (its page gives 1–5% for hardening), the candle is no longer a soy candle. Label what is actually in the jar. Customers who choose soy for a reason will notice.
Semi-refined paraffin is not a container shortcut
Semi Refined Paraffin Wax is ₹220.00 per kg, but it is not among the ten container waxes above. Its page describes blocks with a stated oil content of 6–10%. Do not substitute it for the fully refined pellets in a jar recipe without testing it thoroughly first.
