A candle business does not change supplier because a scent disappointed. It changes because a size was out of stock in the week it was needed — so count sizes, not scents.

Candle Business Guides · Patna
Choosing a fragrance supplier is choosing a shelf you will reorder from every season, so it deserves the same scrutiny as a wholesale contract. This page is the twelve-question checklist a candle business should put to any supplier in India, answered against CSI's own numbers — including the ones that are inconvenient.

listed fragrance-oil size-variants are buyable today across 107 listings · 87 carry a live 1 kg and 49 run the full 15 g to 1 kg ladder · 53 sizes are sold out and 10 listings are sold out entirely · CSI live stock, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How deep is the range a Patna business would be buying from? 107 fragrance-oil listings carrying 437 listed sizes, 384 of them buyable today. Forty-nine listings run the complete 15 g → 50 g → 100 g → 500 g → 1 kg ladder, 87 carry a live kilo, and the collections are listed at 92 fragrance oils and 68 fine perfume fragrances.

What paperwork can a business get? GST invoicing, bulk pricing, and SDS and IFRA documentation on request via WhatsApp, asked per named oil. What is not available anywhere: a downloadable certificate pack, an IFRA amendment or category number, an allergen declaration, a GC-MS report, a CAS list or a shelf-life figure. No page publishes any of those.

Is there a minimum order or a Patna price list? No, to both. CSI publishes no MOQ — the floor is the smallest listed size, 15 g on 50 listings — and there is one national listed price per pack. There is no CSI shop or stockist in Patna; you order online and it ships to your address.

What is the biggest gap to plan around? 1 kg is the largest fragrance pack CSI lists. There is no 5 kg or 10 kg bottle on any oil. Above a kilo you multiply the listed price as a ceiling, or send the scents, kilos and frequency to the bulk line for a quote.
The short answer
Count sizes per scent, not scents: a 400-product catalogue with one bottle size each cannot support a business. Across these 107 listings there are 437 sizes — an average of 4.08 per listing — and the 49 with all five live are the ones to build a repeating range on.
Ask for documentation before the order, not after: the question that separates suppliers is not "is it certified" but "can you send me the SDS for this named oil, and how long will it take". Ask it once on a ₹700 order and you will know what happens on a ₹40,000 one.
Write your own reorder points: no supplier publishes delivery times, so your buffer is your responsibility. Work back from the festive weeks — Diwali is 8 November 2026, with Chhath immediately after — and hold stock for the peak rather than ordering into it.
Ladder depth, listing by listing — buyable sizes per fragrance oil 5 live sizes 49 listings · 15 g to 1 kg, complete 4 live sizes 11 3 live sizes 27 listings · usually 100 g, 500 g, 1 kg 2 live sizes 4 1 live size 6 0 live sizes 10 listings sold out in every size 107 listings · 437 listed sizes · 384 buyable · 53 sold out. Bar length is the number of listings.
Bar length is the number of listings with that many buyable sizes. The shape is what a business should look for: a large block at five, so sampling, testing and production all happen on the same listing — and an honest tail, because ten listings really are sold out in every size today and a supplier that hid them would be hiding your substitution problem too.
Straight answer
How should a candle business in Patna judge a fragrance oil supplier, and what does CSI actually offer one?
Judge on four things you can verify without a sales conversation: depth, publication, paperwork and the ceiling. On depth, CSI lists 107 fragrance-oil listings with 437 sizes, of which 384 are buyable today; 49 run the full 15 g to 1 kg ladder and 87 carry a live kilo, so one supplier covers sampling, burn testing and production without a handover. On publication, the pages are uneven and the counts are the honest summary: 81 of 107 state a fragrance load, 51 mention a flash point but only 18 publish a measured value, 71 use IFRA wording, 61 publish a vanillin or discolouration line, and 19 carry customer reviews. On paperwork, GST invoicing and SDS or IFRA documentation are supplied on request through the bulk line, per named oil — and no page anywhere publishes a certificate number, an allergen declaration, a lab report or a shelf life. On the ceiling, 1 kg is the largest listed pack: above it you multiply the listed price as a ceiling — three kilos of Sandalwood is ₹15,080.40, five kilos of Citrus Lemon is ₹14,160 — and anything recurring goes to a quote. CSI ships across India, takes bulk orders on WhatsApp, and has no shop, stockist or warehouse in Patna. Everything else a supplier might tell you should be checkable against the sizes actually on sale today.
One line: run the twelve questions below on any supplier you are considering; the ones worth a standing order answer all twelve, including the four where the answer is "we don't publish that".
Building a business shortlist? 49 listings carry all five sizes live, 87 carry a buyable 1 kg from ₹2,832, and every listed size and its stock status is on the product page — including the sold-out ones.

The twelve-question supplier checklist

Four of these twelve should be answered "we don't publish that". A supplier who answers all twelve positively is writing claims, not specifications.

These are the questions a candle business needs answered before it commits a range — not the ones a product page volunteers. Take them to any supplier in India. The middle column is CSI's answer, the right column is where that answer stops. Nothing in the right column is an apology; it is the part you plan around.

Supplier checklist · CSI's answers · September 2026
Twelve questions, grouped by what they are really testing
# The question CSI's answer Where it stops
1 How many sizes per scent, and how many are live today? 437 listed sizes across 107 listings, 384 buyable; 49 listings carry all five sizes live 53 sizes are sold out and 10 listings have nothing buyable at all
2 Can I sample, test and produce from the same listing? Yes on 49 listings — 15 g to smell, 100 g to burn test, 1 kg to produce Fifty-eight cannot: 27 have three live sizes, typically 100 g upward, and 10 have nothing buyable at all
3 What is the largest pack I can buy without a conversation? 1 kg, on 87 listings No 5 kg or 10 kg pack exists on any oil. Above a kilo it is multiplication, then a quote
4 Is there a minimum order quantity? None published. The floor is the smallest listed size — 15 g on 50 listings, from ₹68.44 There is also no sample-pack product. You build a bench yourself from listed sizes
5 What load do I pour this at? 81 of 107 pages state a load; 72 of those name soy wax specifically Twenty-six state none. Those become 8%-and-burn-test decisions
6 What is the flash point? 18 pages publish a measured value, from 85°C to 206°C Thirty-two publish only the template line "> 93°C", which is a threshold, not a measurement; 56 publish nothing
7 Will it discolour my wax? 61 pages publish a vanillin or discolouration line, including explicit browning warnings Forty-six say nothing. Pour a test tile in your own glass colour and wait three weeks
8 Has anyone else bought it? 19 listings carry published reviews — 34 in total, through Judge.me Eighty-eight have none. Absence of reviews is absence of evidence, not evidence of a problem
9 Can I have a GST invoice? Yes — GST invoicing is handled on request via the bulk line It is arranged per order on WhatsApp rather than through a self-serve business portal
10 Can I have the SDS and IFRA documentation? Yes, on request, per named oil, via WhatsApp Nothing is downloadable, and no page publishes a certificate, amendment or category number
11 How long will it keep, and how should I store it? Nothing is published. Zero of the 107 pages state a shelf life, expiry or storage condition Treat any supplier's shelf-life number as a claim to ask about, not a specification to plan around
12 When will it reach me, and what will a big order cost? CSI ships across India and takes bulk orders on WhatsApp. Listed prices apply nationally No delivery time, courier or shipping rate is published, and no quote is printed in advance. Build your own buffer
The mistake: treating "yes" as the good answer to all twelve. Questions 6, 7, 11 and 12 have honest negative answers, and a supplier who gives you a confident number for every one of them is a supplier to check harder. A range of 107 oils cannot have 107 measured flash points unless someone measured 107 oils; a page that quotes a threshold as a specification has already shown you how it treats evidence. What you want is a supplier whose published fields are real and whose blanks are admitted — then you know which of your own tests are load-bearing. The underlying concept is explained in how to choose a reliable fragrance oil supplier.

Stock depth: what 437 sizes actually looks like

Depth is the only part of supplier quality you can measure in ten minutes, and it decides whether a range survives its second season. The table splits all 107 listings by how many sizes are buyable right now, because a listing with four sizes of which two are out is a different proposition from one with two sizes both in stock.

Ladder depth across 107 fragrance-oil listings · September 2026
Buyable sizes per listing, and what each group is good for
Buyable sizes Listings What it usually means What a business should do with it
Five 49 The full 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg ladder Build the core range here. Sampling, testing and production never change listing
Four 11 Usually 50 g upward, or five sizes with one out of stock Fine for production; check which rung is missing before you plan a test
Three 27 Typically 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg — the fine-perfume shape Entry is a ₹799 to ₹1,499 commitment, so test more deliberately
Two 4 A partial ladder, often with the kilo sold out Usable for a one-off, risky for a repeating line
One 6 A single size, or a listing down to its last buyable rung Do not design a collection around it without asking about the other sizes
None 10 Sold out in every size Named below. Substitute on structure, not on the scent name
Counted above: 49 + 11 + 27 + 4 + 6 + 10 = 107 listings. Listed sizes total 437 (3 listings have one size, 37 have three, 12 have four and 55 have five), of which 384 are available and 53 are sold out — an average of 4.08 listed sizes and 3.59 buyable sizes per listing. The two named collections are listed at 92 fragrance oils and 68 fine perfume fragrances; a listing can appear in more than one collection, which is why those figures do not sum to 107.

For a business, the number to act on is 49. That is how many oils let you run the whole commercial cycle — smell it for ₹68 to ₹199, prove it in a 100 g burn test, then order kilos of the winner — without ever changing listing, page or specification. Everything outside those 49 is still buyable and often excellent, but it asks you to enter at a higher rung, which in practice means you test it less carefully. That is a supply decision, not a quality one.

The pack ladder as a business tool

Each rung has a job. Buying the wrong rung for the job is the commonest avoidable cost in fragrance procurement.

A five-rung ladder is not five ways to buy the same thing. It is five different business decisions, each with its own per-kilogram penalty, and the penalty is smaller than most makers assume once you are past 50 g. Across the 87 listings with a live kilo, the median 100 g rung costs only 1.01 times the kilo rate and the median 500 g rung costs exactly the same — while the median 15 g rung costs 1.33 times it, and on the steepest listing 3.27 times.

The five rungs · job, typical price and per-kilogram penalty
What each size is for, and what it costs you against the kilo rate
Rung Live on Its job Median cost against the kilo rate
15 g 50 listings Smelling and shortlisting. At 8% it does not fill one 200 g candle 1.33× — the only rung with a real penalty
50 g 79 listings A three-jar trial, or a second scent in a test batch 1.04×
100 g 92 listings The burn-test rung. Six 200 g candles or ten 120 g jars at 8% 1.01×
500 g 75 listings A proven scent at modest volume, or a second scent in a production run 1.00× — and cheaper than the kilo on two listings
1 kg 87 listings Production. 62 candles of 200 g at 8%, needing 11.408 kg of wax behind it The reference rate
Build your purchase order rung by rung, not scent by scent
A business order that works looks like this: 15 g of the four scents you are curious about, 100 g of the two you are testing, 500 g or 1 kg of the two that already sell. A business order that does not work is one kilo each of five scents, because four of them are unproven and the fifth is the only one you will reorder. The same money buys a great deal more information the first way. The stage-by-stage reasoning is in 100 g, 500 g or 1 kg of each fragrance oil, and the pack arithmetic in the 1 kg price guide for Patna buyers.

Three listings show what a full ladder looks like in practice. Each card carries every size with the price per kilogram at each rung, and how many 200 g candles at 8% each pack fills at 16 g of oil per candle.

British Rose Fragrance Oil
The listing a business can plan against with the fewest unknowns, and one of the cheapest kilos in the range. Its page answers six of the twelve checklist questions on its own: "Up to 10% for soy wax candles with a cure time of 48-72 hours" and "Up to 6% for paraffin wax", a measured flashpoint of 192°C, "Vanillin content 0% - no discolouration or yellowing in wax", a stated profile and strength, and three published reviews — which only 19 listings carry. All five sizes are live, so a Patna maker can smell it for ₹94.40, burn test it for ₹342.20 and produce from a ₹3,068 kilo without leaving the page.

The reorder staple · flat from 100 g upward
Sandalwood Fragrance Oil
The listing most Indian candle businesses end up reordering, and a useful test of pricing honesty: its 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg rungs all work out at exactly ₹5,026.80 a kilogram, so there is no penalty for starting small and no reward for over-buying. The page states "Up to 10% for soy wax, cure 48-72 hours", a measured flashpoint of 203°C, and a vanillin content of 0% described as causing no discolouration in white or neutral wax — which is why it suits the frosted and cream glass a gifting range is built in.

Publishes its own downside · festive gourmand
Apple Cinnamon Fragrance Oil
Included for a sentence most suppliers would leave out. The page states "Vanillin content Present - test in white wax", names the vanilla and amber base notes as the reason, and still publishes a load of "6-10% for soy wax candles, cure 48-72 hours" and a pyramid of juicy apple and spicy cinnamon over baked goods and nutmeg, on vanilla and warm amber. Its ladder is flat at ₹4,743.60 a kilogram from 50 g upward and it carries three published reviews, one reporting a customer's reaction rather than the maker's. A reliable festive line, provided the glass is not white.

Paperwork: published, on request, or nowhere

For a registered business the documentation question is not optional, and it is where suppliers separate fastest. The honest answer has three tiers, and knowing which tier a document sits in tells you whether to plan around it or ask for it. If you are still settling which registrations your own business needs, the licensing guide on GST, MSME and FSSAI covers it.

Documentation by tier · September 2026
What is on the page, what comes on request, and what does not exist
Tier Items How to get it
Published on the product page Scent structure (102 of 107 pages), fragrance load (81), IFRA wording (71), vanillin or discolouration line (61), cure time (62), measured flash point (18), customer reviews (19 listings) Read it, screenshot it, and file it with the recipe. Page text is the only specification that exists
Supplied on request Bulk pricing above the listed packs, GST invoicing, SDS documentation, IFRA documentation WhatsApp +91 7397976926, naming the specific oil. Ask before the order, not after
Does not exist anywhere Shelf life, expiry or storage conditions; IFRA certificate, amendment or category numbers; allergen declarations; GC-MS or lab reports; CAS numbers or ingredient lists; ISO or REACH certification; batch test data; throw measurements or burn times; country-of-origin statements Nothing. If any supplier gives you one of these as a fact, ask to see the document it comes from
"Everything we sell is certified" is not an answer. Ask instead: "please send the SDS for this oil, and tell me what the IFRA documentation covers." A useful reply names the oil, distinguishes what the page publishes from what is supplied on request, and arrives in a form you can forward to a corporate client. Across the 107 pages, 71 use IFRA wording of some kind and 36 never mention IFRA at all — and not one publishes a certificate number. That is the normal state of this market, and a supplier who pretends otherwise is the risk, not the one who tells you.

Every gap, named

A supplier page that lists only what it has is a catalogue. Here is the other half: the absences a Patna candle business will run into, sorted by the kind of problem each creates, because each has a different answer.

Gaps in the fragrance range · September 2026
What is missing, what it costs you, and what to do instead
Kind of gap What is missing What to do
Packs that do not exist No 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance pack on any oil. 1 kg is the ceiling on all 107 listings Multiply the kilo as a ceiling, then ask for a quote on anything recurring. Never plan on a price nobody published
Listings with nothing buyable 10 listings are sold out in every size, and a further 16 have a sold-out 1 kg — Vetiver, Wild Berry, Grapefruit Oleo, Sacred Sandal Ember, Coffee Blast, Moca Coffee, Spiced Rum, Regal Royal Oud and others Check the kilo is live before you write label copy. Substitute on published structure, not on the scent name
Scents with a single fragile listing Mogra exists only as a 100 g bottle that is currently sold out, with no larger pack behind it If a collection depends on that word, build the candle on Jasmine or Rajnigandha and describe the blend honestly on the label
Fields the pages leave blank 26 pages state no load, 56 no flash point, 46 no vanillin line, 36 no IFRA wording, 88 no reviews Each blank converts into one of your own tests. Budget the test, do not assume the figure
Things CSI does not sell at all No sample or discovery pack; no candle-making machinery; no pre-tabbed wicks; no 25 kg or 100 kg soy wax pack; no 1 kg dye Build a bench from listed sizes; for wicks the closest options are Eco Candle Wicks and the ready-made cotton braided wicks
Commercial terms nobody publishes No MOQ, no delivery time, no courier or shipping rate, no local stockist in Patna, no credit terms Set your own reorder buffer, and get anything commercial confirmed in writing on the bulk line before a large order
The CSI principle
A supplier's blanks are more useful to a business than its adjectives, because you can plan around a blank.
Every fragrance catalogue in India says premium, strong and long-lasting. None of those words changes a purchase order. What changes a purchase order is knowing that 49 listings carry all five sizes, that the kilo is the ceiling, that documentation comes per named oil on request, and that ten listings are out of stock today.

What a national online supplier means for a Patna business

Be clear about the arrangement: CSI has no shop, no stockist and no warehouse in Patna. You order online at the same listed prices as a buyer anywhere else, and it ships to your address; bulk orders and quotes go through WhatsApp. That has one real disadvantage and two underrated advantages.

Buying from a national supplier · the trade-off for a Patna business
What you lose, what you gain, and the operational answer
The fact What it costs you The operational answer
No local counter to walk into You cannot top up a scent the day before a market, and no delivery time is published Hold a buffer of your two bestsellers, and set reorder points by candle count rather than by calendar
One national price list Nothing — there is no city premium and no negotiation needed to reach the listed price Cost from the listed price with confidence; it is the same number any buyer sees
The same 437 sizes as a Mumbai or Bengaluru brand Nothing A Patna gifting brand can run the same fine-perfume shelf as a metro brand, which is the real levelling effect of online supply
Documentation by request, not by portal One WhatsApp message per requirement Ask early, keep the reply, and reuse it when a corporate client asks you the same question

The buffer question is where the Patna calendar bites. Demand here is heavily clustered: Durga Puja, then Diwali on 8 November 2026, then Chhath in the days immediately after, then the wedding weeks — followed by Christmas, Makar Sankranti, Saraswati Puja, Holi and Chaiti Chhath. That means a business needs oil in hand well before the peak, because a soy container candle needs a 14 to 21 day cure on top of whatever the oil page states, and no supplier's delivery time is published. Work backwards from the sale date, not forwards from the order date. Planning fragrance inventory before the festive season sets out the method.

Reorder points for four kinds of Patna candle business
Set the trigger in candles, not in bottles. A home-based Instagram seller pouring 20–40 candles a month reorders 100 g bottles when a scent drops below 30 g. A gifting and hamper business should hold a kilo of each repeating scent from September and reorder the moment one falls below half. An exhibition seller doing 80–150 candles a month in season needs a kilo of the top two on the shelf at all times. A decor and events supplier taking 300-candle orders should not hold stock speculatively at all — it should hold a shortlist, a tested recipe and a quote already agreed on the bulk line, so the order converts into a purchase the same week. Output figures here are planning assumptions for illustration, not measured data.
Setting up as a business buyer? GST invoicing, bulk pricing above the listed packs, and SDS or IFRA documentation on a named oil are all handled on the WhatsApp bulk line. Send the scents, the kilos, the frequency and your delivery city.

Running the checklist in one afternoon

The whole audit is a spreadsheet and one small deliberate order. Here is how to run it on any supplier, including this one, and what each step measures.

1
Count sizes, not scentsOpen the fragrance collection and count, for ten scents you would actually sell, how many sizes each carries and how many are in stock. Average them. On CSI's 107 listings that average is 4.08 listed and 3.59 buyable. Any supplier averaging below two sizes per scent cannot support a growing range.
2
Score four published fields on the same ten pagesLoad, flash point, vanillin or discolouration line, and reviews. Write yes or no. You are not looking for a perfect score — you are finding out which of your own tests will have to carry the weight, and whether the page distinguishes a measurement from a threshold.
3
Place a small order that exercises the whole systemFour 15 g bottles across four different structures plus one 100 g of the scent you are most likely to sell. On CSI that is roughly ₹400 to ₹800 depending on the scents. This is a supplier test, not a stock purchase.
4
Ask one documentation question before it shipsRequest the SDS and IFRA documentation for one named oil, and note how long the reply takes and whether it names the oil. Also ask for the GST invoice against your GSTIN on this small order — the paperwork path you want proven is the one you will use on a ₹40,000 order.
5
Weigh the bottles and check the invoice before you open anythingFragrance oil is bought by weight, so gross-weigh each bottle on the weighing scale and record it. Check the invoice carries GST correctly and matches the sizes ordered. Thirty seconds each, and it is the only physical verification available to you.
6
Pour the 100 g into ten identical jars and score the supplier separately from the oilTen 120 g jars at 8% take 9.6 g of oil and 110.4 g of wax each. Then write down five supplier facts: days from order to arrival, whether the packing survived, whether the invoice was right, how long documentation took, and whether the oil matched its page. Those five are worth more than any review, because they are about your address and your paperwork.
Audit the shelf with a ₹700 order. Auditing it with a production order is the same test at fifty times the price.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies candle raw materials — wax, fragrance oils, wicks, jars, moulds, dyes, additives and equipment — and does not sell finished candles. This is a supplier auditing itself, which is exactly why it is built from counts rather than adjectives. The convenient version lists 107 oils and stops. This one prints the 53 sold-out sizes, the 10 listings with nothing buyable, the 56 pages with no flash point, the 88 with no reviews, the absence of any 5 kg pack and the absence of any shelf-life figure — because a business that discovers those after committing a range does not come back, and one that plans around them does.

Every count, price, pack size and quoted field comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing and availability always take precedence. Published fields are reported only where the page states them, and the template line "Flash point > 93°C (suitable for alcohol-based products)" is counted as a threshold rather than a measured value. Listings that reference third-party fragrance brands are included in the counts but not named.

CSI ships across India and takes bulk orders on WhatsApp. We publish no delivery times, courier arrangements, shipping rates or minimum order quantities, and there is no CSI shop, stockist or warehouse in Patna. For bulk pricing above the listed packs, GST invoicing, or SDS and IFRA documentation on a specific oil, message +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

Who is a good fragrance oil supplier for a candle business in Patna?
Judge on four things you can check rather than on claims: how many sizes exist per scent, how many are buyable today, what each page states in writing, and what the supplier admits it does not have. At CSI that is 107 listings, 437 listed sizes, 384 buyable, 49 with the full five-size ladder and 87 with a live kilo. Run the same count on any supplier you are comparing — it takes an afternoon and beats any amount of marketing copy.
Does CSI have a minimum order quantity or a business account?
No published MOQ. The practical floor is the smallest listed size — 15 g on 50 listings, from ₹68.44 — and there is no self-serve business portal. GST invoicing, bulk pricing and documentation are handled on request on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. There is also no sample or discovery pack product, so a trial bench is something you assemble yourself from listed sizes.
Can I get a GST invoice, SDS and IFRA documentation?
Yes — all three on request via the bulk line, per named oil. What does not exist is a downloadable pack: 71 of 107 pages use IFRA wording and 36 never mention IFRA, but no page publishes a certificate, amendment or category number, and only two pages mention an SDS at all. Ask before a large or corporate order rather than after it, name the specific oil, and keep the reply on file for the client who asks you the same question.
How much stock depth is there really, and what is sold out?
Of 437 listed sizes, 384 are buyable and 53 are sold out. Ten listings have nothing buyable at all and a further 16 have a sold-out 1 kg, including Vetiver, Wild Berry, Grapefruit Oleo, Sacred Sandal Ember, Coffee Blast, Moca Coffee, Spiced Rum and Regal Royal Oud. Mogra exists only as a sold-out 100 g bottle. Check the kilo is live before you design a collection around a scent, and substitute on published structure rather than on the name.
Can a business buy fragrance oil in 5 kg or 10 kg packs?
Not as a listed pack — 1 kg is the largest fragrance size CSI lists on any oil. You order multiple kilos at the listed price and treat that product as a ceiling: three kilos of Sandalwood is ₹15,080.40, five kilos of Citrus Lemon is ₹14,160. For a recurring requirement send the scents, the kilos of each, the frequency and your delivery city to the bulk line and ask for a quote. This page will not state what it will be.
How far ahead should a Patna candle business order for the festive season?
Work backwards from the sale, not forwards from the order. Diwali falls on 8 November 2026, with Chhath in the days immediately after, and a soy container candle needs a 14 to 21 day cure on top of the 48 to 72 hours several oil pages state. That puts the pour in mid-October and the recipe decision weeks earlier. Since no supplier publishes a delivery time, hold oil for the peak rather than ordering into it, and keep a buffer of your two bestsellers.
Audit the shelf before you commit the range

About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. The counts describe the CSI range; the twelve-question checklist and the afternoon audit apply to any fragrance supplier in India.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on their product pages. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me; three longer reviews are shortened with an ellipsis and otherwise unedited.

Figures verified September 2026: 107 fragrance-oil listings carrying 437 listed size-variants, of which 384 are buyable and 53 sold out — an average of 4.08 listed and 3.59 buyable sizes per listing. By listed sizes: 3 carry one, 37 carry three, 12 carry four, 55 carry five. Buyable-size counts are in the depth table above. 104 listings show a 1 kg size, of which 87 are live and 16 are sold out at that size (including Vetiver, Wild Berry, Grapefruit Oleo, Sacred Sandal Ember, Coffee Blast, Moca Coffee, Spiced Rum and Regal Royal Oud); 3 listings carry no 1 kg size, including the Mogra 100 g bottle, which is itself sold out. Live rung counts: 15 g on 50 listings, 50 g on 79, 100 g on 92, 500 g on 75, 1 kg on 87. Published-field counts: scent structure or profile 102 of 107, fragrance load 81 (72 naming soy wax), IFRA wording 71, cure time 62, vanillin or discolouration line 61, flash point mentioned 51 but measured on only 18, phthalate-free or skin-safety wording 36, published reviews on 19 listings totalling 34; 0 of 107 state a shelf life, storage condition, allergen declaration, lab report, CAS number, ISO or REACH certification, throw measurement or country of origin. Collections are listed at 92 fragrance oils and 68 fine perfume fragrances; a listing may appear in more than one collection. Per-kilogram penalties are medians across the 87 listings with a live kilo: 15 g 1.33× (range 1.01× to 3.27×), 50 g 1.04×, 100 g 1.01×, 500 g 1.00× and cheaper than the kilo on two listings. Candle maths: a 200 g candle at an 8% load is 184 g of wax and 16 g of oil, so 1 kg of oil covers 62 candles needing 11.408 kg of wax; ten 120 g test jars at 8% take 9.6 g of oil and 110.4 g of wax each. Multi-kilo ceilings: Sandalwood 3 × ₹5,026.80 = ₹15,080.40; Citrus Lemon 5 × ₹2,832 = ₹14,160. Smallest listed sizes referenced: 15 g from ₹68.44 (Eucalyptus Spearmint), 1 kg from ₹2,832. A 14–21 day cure for soy container candles is standard practice; Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November 2026 and Chhath follows in the days after it. Output figures in the reorder-point tip are stated planning assumptions for illustration, not measured data.
