Candle Business Guides · Ranchi × business supply
A hobbyist judges a supplier by one bottle. A business judges it by two things a bottle cannot tell you: whether the same size of the same scent will still be buyable next quarter, and how many other lines on the purchase order the same supplier can fill. This page audits CSI on both, with the numbers a Ranchi business can check for itself.
49 of 107
CSI fragrance listings whose whole five-pack ladder — 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg — is listed and buyable today · 35 of the 49 also state a candle load · 1 kg is the largest pack CSI lists · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What should a candle business actually check in a fragrance supplier? Not the adjectives. Check the pack ladder (can you sample, test and produce from the same listing?), the stock depth (is every rung live, or only the one you don't need?), and the rest of the bill of materials. At CSI, 49 of 107 fragrance listings have all five packs buyable, and the same order can carry wax, wicks, jars, moulds, dyes, tools and packaging.

How much of a candle business's purchase order can come from one supplier? Nine of the eleven lines a small Indian candle business buys. CSI lists 15 waxes, 92 products in the fragrance collection, 7 wick lines, 80 containers, 62 moulds, 25 dyes, 65 accessories and 10 packaging lines. What it does not list: candle-making machinery, UV inhibitor, pre-tabbed wicks, fragrance packs above 1 kg, soy packs above 10 kg and dye above 100 g.

Is the 1 kg pack always the cheapest per gram? No — and this is the single most profitable thing on this page. On 13 of the 49 full-ladder listings a smaller pack works out cheaper per gram. On twelve of them the gap is ₹1 to ₹9 across a whole kilo, which is rounding. On Saffron Cedarwood it is ₹1,699.20: two 500 gm bottles cost ₹5,168.40 against ₹6,867.60 for the 1 kg pack.

What does a quarter of fragrance cost? For a business pouring 150 candles a month at 200 g and an 8% load — 2.4 kg of oil a month — a six-scent range comes to ₹32,018 a quarter for 7.2 kg, or about ₹71.15 of fragrance per candle. The worked plan is below.
The short answer
Buy the ladder, not the bottle. A listing you can buy at 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg lets you shortlist, burn-test and produce without ever changing scent. Forty-nine CSI listings do that today; build your fixed range from them and your reorders stop being decisions.
Do the two divisions before every reorder. Pack price ÷ grams, for every rung. It takes a minute and on one listing in this range it is worth ₹1,699.20 a kilo. Assume nothing about pack ladders, including ours.
Consolidate what you can, name what you cannot. Nine lines of a candle business's purchase order are listed here. Two — machinery and anything above the listed pack ceilings — are not, and pretending otherwise would cost you a production week.

One purchase order · listed products per line, and the two lines that are not here Fragrance oils 92 in the collection Containers 80 Accessories & tools 65 Moulds 62 Dyes 25 Wax 15 Packaging 10 Wicks 7 — the thinnest line, and the one to plan around Not listed Machinery · UV inhibitor · pre-tabbed wicks · oil above 1 kg · dye above 100 g
Bar length is the number of products listed in that collection, September 2026. A long bar is choice, not quality; the short wick line is the one a business should read hardest, because a wick change means a new burn test on every SKU.
Straight answer
Is CSI a workable fragrance oil supplier for a candle business run from Ranchi, and what should I check before I rely on it?
Check two things, and neither is the smell. First, continuity: can you buy the same scent at every quantity your business passes through? At CSI, 49 of the 107 fragrance listings have all five packs — 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg — listed and buyable today, and 35 of those 49 also state a candle load. Build your fixed range out of those and a reorder is arithmetic instead of a decision. Second, consolidation: nine of the eleven lines on a small candle business's purchase order are listed here — 15 waxes, 92 fragrance products, 7 wick lines, 80 containers, 62 moulds, 25 dyes, 65 accessories and 10 packaging lines. Two are not: machinery, and anything above the listed pack ceilings — 1 kg on fragrance oil, 10 kg on most soy, 100 g on dye. Then do the two divisions. On 13 of the 49 a smaller pack is cheaper per gram than the kilo, and on Saffron Cedarwood that is worth ₹1,699.20 a kilo. A business that reorders on habit pays it every quarter.
One line: pick a fixed range from the 49 full-ladder listings, divide every rung before every reorder, and keep a written list of what this supplier does not sell.
Setting up a quarterly order? Chocolate Fudge 1 kg at ₹3,964.80, Cucumber Green Tea! 1 kg at ₹3,327.60, Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40 a kilo from 1 kg to 10 kg — one order, one invoice.
Shop fragrance oils

One purchase order, eleven lines

The question a business asks is never "is this a good fragrance oil?". It is "how many suppliers do I have to chase on the Monday before a delivery?".

A candle business in Ranchi buys roughly eleven kinds of thing. Some are consumed every run, some once a year, one only when you scale. Splitting them across four suppliers costs you four sets of invoices, four sets of specifications to reconcile and four chances of one line arriving late and holding the whole run. Consolidation is not about price; it is about the number of things that can go wrong before a pour date.

Here is the honest audit. Nine lines are listed on this store; the count in each is the number of products in the relevant collection in September 2026, not a claim about depth of stock in any one of them. Two lines are not listed at all, and one — wicks — is thin enough that a business should treat it as a planning constraint rather than a choice.

A candle business's bill of materials against one supplier
What is listed, how much choice there is, and what a business still has to source elsewhere
Line How often you buy it Listed here? Products listed What a business should watch
Fragrance oil Every run Yes 92 in the Fragrance Oils collection; 68 in Fine Perfume Fragrances, which overlaps it 1 kg is the largest listed pack; above that is a quote, never a listed price
Wax Every run Yes 15, including soy, coconut-soy, paraffin, beeswax and gel 10 kg is the largest listed soy pack; 25 kg and 100 kg are not listed
Wicks Every run Yes 7 lines, some imported The thinnest line. Lock one wick per SKU and re-test if it ever changes
Containers Every run Yes 80 Most state capacity in millilitres, not grams — weigh one filled jar before you cost a SKU
Dyes Every few runs Yes 25 liquids and chips 100 g is the largest listed dye size; 1 kg is not listed
Moulds Occasionally Yes 62 Silicone wears; buy a spare of the mould your bestseller depends on
Tools and accessories Once, then replacements Yes 65, including thermometers, scales, melters and wick tools Buy two of anything a pour cannot happen without
Packaging Every run Yes 10 lines including corrugated boxes and packaging paper Measure the jar against the stated box dimensions before ordering 50
Diffuser and spray bases If you sell them Yes 18 reed and car diffuser bases, 6 room and spray lines A second product line from the same oils you already stock
Machinery When you scale No — No moulding, filling or wicking machines are listed. Source separately
Above the pack ceilings At volume No listed price — Fragrance above 1 kg, soy above 10 kg, dye above 100 g: WhatsApp quote only
The mistake: consolidating the easy lines and leaving the wick with a second supplier. Wax, oil and jars are the lines people consolidate first, because they are the biggest numbers. The wick is the cheapest line on the order and the only one that invalidates every burn test you have ever run if it changes. If your wick comes from somewhere else, you are one discontinued product away from re-testing your whole range. Buy the wick from wherever you like — but buy a hundred of it, write the exact variant on your recipe card, and treat a wick change as a new product. The reasoning is in wrong wick size is killing your hot throw, and the one-supplier question is argued out in can I buy all my candle making materials from one supplier.

The 49 listings you can grow inside

A business passes through four quantities of the same scent: a 15 g bottle to smell it, a 50 g or 100 g bottle to burn-test it, a 500 g bottle for a first small run, and a kilo once it sells. A listing that does not carry all four rungs forces you to change something at the worst moment — either the scent, or the quantity you can commit to. So the most useful single count about any fragrance range is how many listings run the whole ladder with every rung actually buyable.

At CSI in September 2026 that number is 49 of 107. Of those 49, 35 also state a candle load, 21 state a load and a discolouration position, and 10 state a load, a discolouration position and a specific measured flash point. Those are four honest tiers of confidence, and the right one to build a business range from is the second or third, not the first.

Continuity tiers among the 49 full-ladder listings
How many listings pass each test, and what a business gets for choosing that tier
Tier Listings What you can do with it What is still missing
All 107 fragrance listings 107 Choose a smell Rungs, loads, discolouration, flash point — anything from none to all of it
All five packs listed and buyable 49 Sample, test, small-run and produce without ever changing scent 14 of them state no candle load at all
Five packs + a stated candle load 35 Start from the page's own percentage instead of guessing No position on discolouration on 14 of them
Five packs + load + discolouration position 21 Choose the glass and the wax colour before you pour Only 10 of these also give a measured flash point
Five packs + load + discolouration + measured flash point 10 Plan the pour temperature against a published number Nothing on shelf life or storage — no CSI page states either
A blank is a planning instruction, not a defect
Fourteen of the 49 state no candle load. That does not make them bad oils — Cucumber Green Tea! and Saffron Cedarwood are both in that group and both sell. It makes them oils you test at 8% and do not push, because there is no published ceiling to push towards. Write the blank on your recipe card so that the next person in your workshop knows the 8% was a decision and not a copy of a page. How to choose a load when nothing is stated is covered in what fragrance load should you use for floral, woody and gourmand oils.

The two divisions worth ₹1,699.20

Every business eventually reorders on autopilot: last quarter's quantity, same rung, add to cart. On most listings that costs nothing, because CSI's fragrance ladders flatten out at the top and the 500 g and 1 kg rungs land within a rupee or two of each other per gram. On a few, autopilot is expensive.

Of the 49 full-ladder listings, 13 have at least one smaller pack that is cheaper per gram than the 1 kg pack. On twelve of them the difference across a whole kilo is ₹1 to ₹9 — rounding in the price list, not a saving worth an extra bottle to open. On one it is not rounding at all.

Where the kilo is not the cheapest gram · CSI live pricing, September 2026
The five clearest cases, and what buying 1 kg the cheapest way actually saves
Listing 1 kg pack Per gram at 1 kg Cheapest rung per gram 1 kg bought that way Saving per kilo
Saffron Cedarwood ₹6,867.60 ₹6.87 ₹5.17 at 500 gm (₹2,584.20) ₹5,168.40 as two 500 gm ₹1,699.20
Solar Bloom ₹7,499 ₹7.499 ₹7.49 at 100g (₹749) ₹7,490 as ten 100g ₹9 — not worth ten bottles
Juicy Orange ₹7,499 ₹7.499 ₹7.49 at 100g (₹749) ₹7,490 as ten 100g ₹9 — rounding
White Royal Oud ₹8,103 ₹8.103 ₹8.10 at 100gm (₹810) ₹8,100 as ten 100gm ₹3 — rounding
Gardenia Fragrance Oil ₹4,332 ₹4.332 ₹4.33 at 100 gm (₹433) ₹4,330 as ten 100 gm ₹2 — rounding
Worked out above: per gram = pack price ÷ grams in the pack. Saffron Cedarwood: 500 gm ₹2,584.20 ÷ 500 = ₹5.1684 a gram; 1 kg ₹6,867.60 ÷ 1,000 = ₹6.8676 a gram. Two 500 gm bottles = ₹5,168.40 for the same kilo, so ₹6,867.60 − ₹5,168.40 = ₹1,699.20, or 24.7% less. Its 100 gm rung is ₹696.20 (₹6.962 a gram) and its 50 gm rung ₹354 (₹7.08), both dearer than the kilo — so the cheap rung is specifically 500 gm, which is exactly the kind of thing autopilot misses.
The mistake: assuming the ladder falls smoothly. It usually does, which is why the exception is so easy to pay for. Put a one-line check in your reorder routine: before every fragrance line on a purchase order, divide the pack price by the grams for each rung you could realistically buy, and compare. Two divisions per scent, six scents, six quarters — that is 72 divisions a year against ₹1,699.20 on one listing alone. And do it again next quarter, because a price list is a snapshot: the linked product page is always the current number, not this table.

A six-scent range, costed by quarter

This is what the audit is for. Below is a fixed six-scent range drawn entirely from the 49 full-ladder listings, sized for a business pouring 150 candles a month at 200 g and an 8% fragrance load — 16 g of oil per candle, 2.4 kg of oil a month, 7.2 kg a quarter. The quantities are chosen to land on pack rungs rather than on round numbers, because a business buys packs, not grams.

Quarterly fragrance order · 450 candles of 200 g at 8% · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Six scents, the packs that make up each quantity, and what the quarter costs
Scent Share of the range Oil per quarter Packs to buy Cost Candles it pours
Citrus Lemon 28% — the workhorse 2,000 g 2 × 1 kg ₹5,664 125
Spicy Raspberry 21% 1,500 g 1 × 1kg + 1 × 500g ₹8,998 93
Chocolate Fudge 21% 1,500 g 1 × 1000 gm + 1 × 500 gm ₹5,947.20 93
Cucumber Green Tea! 14% 1,000 g 1 × 1 kg ₹3,327.60 62
Neroli Signature Grade 10% 700 g 1 × 500g + 2 × 100g ₹5,497 43
Saffron Cedarwood 7% 500 g 1 × 500 gm ₹2,584.20 31
Quarter total 100% 7,200 g 11 bottles ₹32,018 447

Two numbers to carry out of that table. The quarter's fragrance works out at ₹4.45 a gram averaged across the range and ₹71.15 of oil per candle averaged across the quarter’s 450 — and the range spans ₹2.83 to ₹7.85 a gram, so your cheapest SKU carries a third of the fragrance cost of your dearest one. If your candles all retail at the same price, that spread is your real margin variance, and it is worth knowing which two SKUs are paying for the others.

1
Count backwards from candles, not forwards from bottlesCandles per quarter × grams of oil per candle = grams needed. At 200 g and 8% that is 16 g per candle, so 450 candles is 7,200 g. Do this before you look at a single price, or the range you build will be the range you can afford this week rather than the one you can repeat.
2
Split the total by what actually sells, then round to rungsOne or two scents will carry a third of your volume. Give them whole kilos. Give the tail 500 g. Rounding a 1,350 g requirement up to 1,500 g costs you one extra 100 g bottle of stock and saves you a mid-quarter reorder — the arithmetic of which scents deserve a kilo is worked through in buying 1 kg of candle fragrance oil online in Ranchi.
3
Divide every rung before you add to cartSix scents, two or three rungs each. This is the step that found ₹1,699.20 on Saffron Cedarwood, and it is the step that gets skipped when a quarter is already late.
4
Add a 5% planning allowance and a reorder floor in the same lineSpills, jug residue and top-ups are real: plan 5% above the arithmetic, so 7,200 g becomes 7,560 g. Then set a floor — when a scent drops below the oil for 30 candles, it goes on the next order whether or not the quarter is up.
5
Order the wax, wicks and jars on the same purchase order450 candles at 184 g of wax is 82.8 kg — eight 10 kg packs and three 1 kg packs of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40 a kilo comes to ₹42,114.20 for 83 kg. One order, one invoice, one thing to chase.
6
Ask for the paperwork before you need itGST invoicing, bulk pricing for anything above the listed packs, and MSDS or IFRA documentation are handled on WhatsApp. Request them in the quarter you are calm, not in the week a corporate buyer asks for them.
The CSI principle
A business does not need a supplier with no gaps. It needs a supplier whose gaps are printed, so the plan can go around them.
Fifty-eight of the 107 fragrance listings do not run the full pack ladder. Machinery is not sold here. Fragrance stops at a kilo and dye stops at 100 g. None of that is fixable by asking nicely — but all of it is plannable, and a plan built around a known ceiling never fails in a production week.

Four lines a Ranchi business can plan on

Three fragrance listings that behave differently on purpose — one fully documented, one with an honest blank, one with the rung anomaly — plus the wax that carries the other half of the same order. Each card shows every listed size with the price per kilo at that rung.

The profile of a listing a business can plan on. All five rungs are live from 15 gm at ₹93.22 to 1000 gm at ₹3,964.80, the per-gram price is flat at ₹3.965 from 50 gm upward — so there is nothing to optimise and nothing to miss — and the page states a candle load of 6–10%, with 10–15% for wax melts, expressed as a percentage of total wax weight. It also states its vanillin and discolouration position rather than leaving you to discover it, with cocoa and caramel over creamy chocolate and toasted nuts on vanilla bean and brown sugar. No flash point is stated on this page, so none is quoted here.

Full ladder · no stated load — and that is the point
Cucumber Green Tea!
One of the cheapest full-ladder listings in the range at ₹3,327.60 a kilo, and one of the fourteen that states no candle load, no discolouration position and no flash point. Its page gives the profile — crisp cucumber and green tea leaves over delicate jasmine and lemon, on clean musk and light woods — and nothing else. Treat that as an instruction: pour it at 8%, cure it properly, burn it, and do not push the load because there is no published ceiling to push towards. For a cool, fresh SKU in a range otherwise full of gourmands and woods, it is a sensible anchor — and because all five rungs are live, the 15 gm bottle at ₹93.22 costs less than a cup of coffee to shortlist.

Full ladder · the rung that beats the kilo
Saffron Cedarwood
Buy this one by the half-kilo. Its 500 gm pack at ₹2,584.20 works out at ₹5.17 a gram against ₹6.87 a gram for the 1 kg pack at ₹6,867.60 — the only listing in the 49 where the gap is large enough to change a purchase order, and worth ₹1,699.20 on every kilo you buy. Its 100 gm and 50 gm rungs are both dearer than the kilo, so the cheap rung is specifically the 500 gm. The page gives a citrus and cardamom opening over palo santo, saffron and violet on wood, sandalwood, smoke and amber, and states no candle load — so hold it at 8% until a cured jar tells you otherwise.

Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (Flakes)
Fragrance is the interesting half of a candle business's order; wax is the heavy half. CSI 464 is a container wax listed from 500 g to 10 kg at a flat ₹507.40 a kilo from the 1 kg pack upward — the 500 g pack is the only dearer rung, at ₹520 a kilo — with a stated fragrance load of up to 10% and melting and pour temperatures given on the page as 80–90°C. Flat pricing across rungs is exactly what a business wants here: you order the pack size that suits your storage, not the one that games the price. For 450 candles of 200 g at 8% you need 82.8 kg, which is eight 10 kg packs and three 1 kg packs.

Every gap, named

A supplier audit that only lists strengths is marketing. Here is the list a Ranchi business should keep in its own file, with the workaround next to each line.

What this supplier does not do
The gap, what it costs a business, and what to do instead
Gap What it costs you What to do instead
No fragrance pack above 1 kg A 10 kg requirement is ten bottles to open, label and track Send the scents and kilos for a quote; the listed kilo price is your ceiling, never a promise of the quoted rate
No soy pack above 10 kg (one wax is listed at 50 kg) Bigger runs mean combining packs Combine listed packs and price the run off the listed per-kilo rate, then ask for a quote for recurring volume
No dye above 100 g A large coloured run needs several bottles of the same shade Buy the 100 g and test your shade at a fixed drops-per-kilo ratio so batches match
No machinery — no moulding, filling or wicking machines Scaling past hand-pouring needs another supplier entirely Plan capacity around melters and pitchers here, and source machinery separately
No pre-tabbed wicks Extra assembly time per candle The closest listed options are Cotton Braided Wicks Ready Made, Eco Candle Wicks and the braided wick roll supplied with 100 separate wick tabs
No UV inhibitor No published option for light-fade protection Control it with packaging and storage away from light instead
No published minimum order, trade account or price list You cannot plan a discount you have not been quoted Treat listed prices as your cost base, and ask for bulk pricing on WhatsApp when the volume is real
No shelf life or storage figure on any fragrance page You cannot write an expiry on a spec sheet from published data Buy to a quarter's consumption rather than to a stockpile, and label every bottle with the date it arrived
58 of 107 fragrance listings do not run the full pack ladder A scent you love may not be buyable at the size you need next Keep your fixed range inside the 49, and treat the rest as seasonal specials
Quarterly volumes? A six-scent range at 7.2 kg comes to ₹32,018 in listed prices, and 82.8 kg of CSI 464 comes to ₹42,114.20. For anything above the listed packs, recurring supply, GST invoicing or documentation, send the quantities on WhatsApp.

Running a candle business here without a local counter

There is no candle-supplies counter to walk into in Ranchi, so four habits do the work that a local shop would otherwise do for you. None of them is about the supplier; all of them are about how a business orders when it cannot pop out for one more bottle.

Four operating habits for a business ordering from a distance
What a local counter would have given you, and the habit that replaces it
What a local shop gives you The habit that replaces it What it costs to set up
Topping up one bottle mid-run A written reorder floor per scent — when a scent falls below the oil for 30 candles, it goes on the next order One column in a spreadsheet
Smelling before buying A standing shortlist habit: one 15 g bottle of every candidate in the 49, poured into 70 g test jars, scored at day 7 and day 14 ₹68.44 to ₹199 per candidate
Asking the counter what wick to use A recipe card per SKU: wax, oil, load, add temperature, pour temperature, exact wick variant, cure days An afternoon, once
Same-day replacement of a broken tool A spare of every tool a pour cannot happen without — thermometer, scale, pitcher ₹354 for a second pen thermometer, ₹354 for a second scale

The Ranchi-specific part is the cool season, and it changes one operating decision rather than the whole plan. On the plateau the winter months are genuinely cold by Indian standards, which is easy on stored wax and stored oil — a sealed bottle in a cool cupboard is the best storage condition a fragrance oil is likely to get, even though no CSI page states a storage temperature and none should be invented. It is harder on the pour: cold glass pulls heat out of wax faster, which is where wet spots and edge rings come from, and a cured jar assessed in a cold room reads quieter than the same jar in May. Warm your jars, and score your throw in a heated room. For business planning, the practical consequence is that your winter quarter needs more cure days in the schedule, not more fragrance in the jar.

Nobody changes supplier over a smell. They change over a size that was not there, a paper that never came, or a rung they never divided.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and has no branch, stockist or counter in Ranchi. We are the supplier being audited on this page, which is exactly why the gap table is longer than the strengths table. A business that discovers a ceiling in a production week changes supplier; a business that reads it in September plans around it and stays. The most useful sentence a supplier can publish is the one that costs it an order.

Every count, price and pack rung here comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Collection counts are the number of products listed in each collection, not a claim about depth of stock in any single product. Stated loads, discolouration positions and flash points are quoted only where a product page states them; where a page is silent, this guide says so rather than borrowing a figure from a similar scent. No CSI fragrance page states a shelf life, a storage instruction, an IFRA certificate number or a lab result, and none is claimed here.

For quarterly volumes, anything above the listed pack ceilings, bulk pricing, GST invoicing, or MSDS and IFRA documentation, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. No minimum order quantity and no trade price list is published, so we will not quote one here.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose a fragrance oil supplier for a candle business in Ranchi?
Judge continuity and coverage, not adjectives. Ask how many listings you can buy at every quantity your business passes through — at CSI, 49 of 107 have all five packs buyable — and how many other lines on your purchase order the same supplier fills. Then ask what it does not sell, and write the answer down. A supplier with printed ceilings is easier to run a business on than one with vague reassurance, because you can plan around a ceiling.
Can a candle business buy all its raw materials from CSI?
Nine of the eleven lines, yes: 15 waxes, 92 fragrance products, 7 wick lines, 80 containers, 62 moulds, 25 dyes, 65 accessories, 10 packaging lines and 18 diffuser bases. Two lines are not covered — machinery of any kind, and anything above the listed pack ceilings (fragrance above 1 kg, soy above 10 kg, dye above 100 g). Pre-tabbed wicks and UV inhibitor are not listed either. Plan those elsewhere from the start rather than discovering them mid-quarter.
Is the 1 kg pack always the cheapest way to buy a fragrance oil?
No. Among the 49 full-ladder listings, 13 have a smaller pack that is cheaper per gram. On twelve the gap is ₹1 to ₹9 across a kilo — rounding. On Saffron Cedarwood the 500 gm pack is ₹5.17 a gram against ₹6.87 for the kilo, so two 500 gm bottles cost ₹5,168.40 instead of ₹6,867.60 — a saving of ₹1,699.20 per kilo. Divide every rung before every reorder; prices change and the product page is authoritative.
How much fragrance oil does a small candle business need per quarter?
Work from candles. At 200 g and an 8% load each candle takes 16 g of oil, so 150 candles a month is 2.4 kg a month and 7.2 kg a quarter. Add a 5% planning allowance for spills, jug residue and top-ups and call it 7.56 kg. Across the six-scent range costed above, 7.2 kg comes to ₹32,018 at listed prices — about ₹71.15 of fragrance in each 200 g candle.
Does CSI publish a minimum order quantity, a trade account or a wholesale price list?
No. There is no published MOQ, no business account tier and no trade price list, and no sample-pack product. What exists is the listed pack ladder — 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg on the fullest listings — which is where the per-gram price actually falls, and a bulk line on WhatsApp for volumes above the listed packs. Treat the listed price as your cost base and the quote as a separate conversation; we will not state what a quote will be.
What documentation can a candle business get for a fragrance oil?
Ask by name on WhatsApp: GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation are handled there. What is not published anywhere on the product pages is an IFRA certificate number, an amendment or category number, a GC-MS or lab report, an allergen declaration, a CAS list, a shelf life or a storage instruction — only two of the 107 pages mention an SDS at all. Request what you need in a quiet quarter, not in the week a corporate buyer asks for it.

Figures verified September 2026: 107 fragrance-oil listings audited. 49 have all five packs — 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg — listed with every rung currently buyable; of those 49, 35 state a candle load, 21 state a load and a discolouration or vanillin position, and 10 state a load, a discolouration position and a specific measured flash point. 13 of the 49 have a smaller pack cheaper per gram than the 1 kg pack; on twelve of them the difference across a kilo is ₹1 to ₹9 (Gardenia ₹2, White Royal Oud ₹3, Solar Bloom ₹9, Juicy Orange ₹9, Jasmine ₹1, Spicy Cinnamon ₹1 among them), and on Saffron Cedarwood it is ₹1,699.20 (500 gm ₹2,584.20 = ₹5.1684/g against 1 kg ₹6,867.60 = ₹6.8676/g; its 100 gm rung is ₹696.20 and its 50 gm rung ₹354, both dearer per gram than the kilo). Collection counts: Candle Wax 15, Fragrance Oils 92, Fine Perfume Fragrances 68 (overlapping), Candle Wicks 7, Containers For Candle Making 80, Candle Moulds 62, Candle Dyes 25, Candle Accessories 65, Packaging Materials 10, Reed & Car Diffuser Base 18, Room and Spray Base 6. Quarterly plan prices: Citrus Lemon 1 kg ₹2,832 (stated 6–10% for candles, 10–15% for wax melts, vanillin approximately 0%), Spicy Raspberry 1kg ₹5,999 and 500g ₹2,999, Chocolate Fudge 1000 gm ₹3,964.80 and 500 gm ₹1,982.40 (stated 6–10% for candles, 10–15% for wax melts, of total wax weight), Cucumber Green Tea! 1 kg ₹3,327.60 and 15 gm ₹93.22 (no load, discolouration or flash point stated), Neroli Signature Grade 500g ₹3,899 and 100g ₹799 (no load stated), Saffron Cedarwood 500 gm ₹2,584.20 (no load stated); quarter total ₹32,018 for 7,200 g, an average of ₹4.4469 a gram, pouring 447 candles at 16 g each. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464: 500 g ₹260, 1 kg ₹507.40, 5 kg ₹2,537, 10 kg ₹5,074 — flat at ₹507.40 a kilo from 1 kg upward, 500 g equivalent to ₹520 a kilo; page states a fragrance load of up to 10% and melting and pour temperatures of 80–90°C; 82.8 kg for 450 candles bought as eight 10 kg packs and three 1 kg packs = ₹42,114.20 for 83 kg. Fragrance load is calculated as a share of the finished candle (200 g at 8% = 184 g wax + 16 g oil); several of these pages express their percentage as a share of total wax weight instead. The 150-candles-a-month volume, the 28/21/21/14/10/7 range split, the 5% handling allowance and the 30-candle reorder floor are this guide's planning assumptions, not CSI figures. Pen Thermometer ₹354 and Candle Making Weighing Scale ₹354. Prices, counts and availability change — the linked product pages and collections are always authoritative.
